There is free street parking the block before by El Coyote. Dura is owned by a group of friends who also work as its baristas and they have all been very kind and do their best to remember customers names and faces. Saw this place recommended on TikTok, so I decided to give it a try. I stopped by around 7 a.m. on a Friday. They have a small parking lot, but at the time I went I was able to find a spot pretty easily, which was convenient. I could see parking being a little difficult during busier times, though. I ordered the matcha with the banana foam. The matcha itself is sweetened with agave, so it's a pretty simple, approachable matcha. It was a little too sweet for my taste, so next time I'd definitely ask for it less sweet. The banana foam was the highlight for me. It tastes like a mix of banana pudding and fresh banana with a really natural flavor that doesn't come across as overly artificial. Overall, I thought it was a good matcha. It was smooth and well balanced. It doesn't have a super strong matcha flavor, but it also doesn't just taste like milk. I enjoyed it and would come back again. This place certainly deserved the love with very friendly owners, who also acted baristas. They intentionally made convo with all the customers, sharing their stories, giving their recos, and making sure you loved your drinks. They literally weren't bluffing as they did serve very good drinks! The venue might be not huge huge, but there were several seats for quick sip or just to wait for your grab-and-go coffee and bakes. We got their Mama's Latte and Matcha Duo. The prior served latte with vanilla syrup and chocolate. Would suit you flawlessly if you're a fan of mocha and loved your coffee being sweet. What I loved the most was the coffee taste still stood bold despite the dark chocolate also could strongly be tasted. This newly opened coffee, matcha and pastry shop has some of the best matcha I've tasted. Kevin, Jesus and Ryan, Co-owners of the shop definitely have a winner and a bright future ahead. I ordered a strawberry matcha, which was absolutely delicious. There's also an array of fresh pastries made daily on-site, by Leri, which would satisfy any sweet craving. Fantastic matcha with friendly service! Dura Coffee is located in a tiny strip mall (parking lot is limited, but ample street parking) and is shared with a pastry shop that sells cake pops. I got the signature Dura Duo, which is a double matcha drink. Baristas there were super nice and offered bags and straws to go. I loved their story! They came together after they all lost their jobs at Starbucks. Very friendly baristas and they have a great concept for their coffee shop. I just didn't love it. Using darker roasted beans from Jetty might appeal to a larger group, it's not my kind of coffee. First visit I got the Choco-banano latte and it had great flavor, it was just overly sweet. Super cute place. I came across this place on my TikTok feed and since it was on my way to work decided to stop by and check it out. Staff there was super nice, I didn't know what to get so I told him to surprise me. He said the cold brew was his favorite, it was perfect for me since I'm a very basic kinda person. I picked up a ham and cheese croissant and OMG I love ham and cheese croissants... it's on my top 3, tip warm it up just a little in the microwave keep it still flaky but melt the cheese.... Just discovered this cute little coffee shop on Beverly. The coffee was FANTASTIC and I'm a coffee snob. DuraCoffee is owned by a group of 5 friends and you can tell they know what they're doing. From a business perspective but also customer service. The vibe was cool and there's definitely a sense of community and quality in their products. We enjoyed the blueberry cake, a Cortado and a Cappuccino. It is reasonably priced for LA and ample parking in the lot. Go check them out and support your local businesses!
