Today is my second time coming to this boba shop on a busy corner in West Hollywood. My drink today was free because of the new customer special (which applies to your second visit). I love that the teas are milk free. The white custard cheesecake is delicious! The man who works the shop is super sweet and keeps the establishment clean and running smoothly.
Easy to order on a screen, parking available in the neighborhood, and plenty of drinks to choose from. The boba is not as soft as you might find in other classic shops but the owner is nice, they have a free drink (next time) for new members of the loyalty club, and the tart was surprisingly delicious! The little padded chairs are very small--very uncomfortable for me as a big guy but it was just right for the two others I came with, and they have other tables and chairs that would be more inclusive so to speak. The quantity is larger than a standard boba so you can definitely sip on it for a while. ~$7 each for a tart and for a drink.
We got the Taro boba it was yummy . The setting was very cozy, but the main highlight was him who made our boba :) . Very friendly and happy man ! Highly recommend and say hi to him. Also parking in the back !!
Amazing desserts! The taro cheese cake is perfect - not too sweet and can definitely taste the taro flavor. The peanut butter-chocolate chip bread pudding is decadent. Portions of both are very large and are reasonably priced. Will definitely be back!

The deserts are a generous portion size and the first time I had ordered I was given a free cookie for being a first time customer! My go to is the Mango Cheesecake and the Carrot cake! I love this cafe and hopefully they remain consistent with the quality!
This is one of those spots. The cakes are absolutely amazing (especially the carrot). You can taste the quality of these desserts, absolutely no BS in them whatsoever. The owner was so nice and you can tell there is passion behind it all. 10000% will be visiting again and these are right up there with the best I've had in LA.
Just stopped by to get some drinks while we were in the area. Being on Santa Monica Blvd parking was abysmal, but there are some lots nearby. Their interior was pretty cozy, they had ample seating and board games you could sit and play. All their ordering was also on kiosks which was very convenient. Our drinks were out in just a few minutes. My Thai tea was pretty decent, with a generous size for the price. I was disappointed by the sweetness; since Thai tea tends to run very sweet I opted with the 75% sweetness, but my drink tasted more like 25% sweetness. My advice would be to stick to full sweetness if you want a better experience.
The strawberry milk was fire is was really nice and refreshing. You can customize your ice level and sweetness and contents. I also got the coconut flan omg!!! Its so good too! Perfect consistency and delicious coconut crust. So so good. This place is legit yall!! The service is very good, prompt and polite. He made sure to come say hi and tell me about promotions and such. They have tables and chairs so you can get some things done while you treat yourself. Good ambiance. Ill be back to try their cheesecake
Vietnamese Coffee was not Vietnamese coffee. It tasted like plain ole drip coffee. The Thai Green Milk Tea was good though. The chocolate peanut butter cheesecake was bomb and saved this experience. At first it feels overwhelmingly peanut buttery with no chocolate. It then grows on you. Although, I did miss the chocolate. The place was okay but I don't think I'll be back.
Our first time ordering from Sweet Talk. I placed the order through Postmates and it was for my kids. You guys definitely made their day and this was so kind. First time customers and its definitely our new go-to spot for sweets/boba. Thank you guys very much , many blessings
Loved everything about this boba shop, which isn't really just a boba shop but something much more. First of all, it's right in the corner of a busy intersection and it's completely open air. It was really fun people watching, excellent entertainment for my dog AND baby. Second, while the decor is sleek and modern, there's a cozy feel too, when seated at the little tables. You order at kiosks without any hassle, which adds to the modern feel of the place, but then Matt, the owner, comes out and is absolutely the sweetest. Third, but most important of all, the drinks and desserts are fantastic. I really enjoyed the matcha latte which had the perfect balance of sweetness. The soda can tops are so unique. Ok let's talk about the desserts: get them. You can't go wrong with any choice. Matt is a talented baker because the sweets are divine. We brought home different ones to share with our family and they were a hit. Personal fave of mine is the Oreo cheesecake. Super rich and decadent but still tasting light. Also best chocolate chip cookies ever. Overall really cute place for a day date or if you're just in the mood for something sweet.
I'm rating this place entirely based on the flavor of their peanut butter chocolate chip bread, pudding which I didn't not like. You order through an automated machine at the front. They have a particular vibe that they are going for. It's a skip for me next time!
Ordered the cookies and cream and taro pie and both are so good. The cookies and cream pie was a little frozen, so it was kinda like ice cream, which I loved. It's also stuffed with fresh Oreo cookies. The taro is nice and creamy, with coconut flavors. They also gave us a complimentary oatmeal chocolate chip raisin cookie, which was so nice! That was delicious and massive too!
I've been here a couple of times and thought it was time to review this establishment. Located at the busy intersection of Santa Monica Boulevard and Fairfax in West Hollywood; you won't be disappointed. It's a small space with a few tables inside with multiple large sliding glass doors that open onto the intersection on one side and a courtyard on the other side. It gives the place a nice urban feel with plenty of foot traffic outside and people watching. You order from one of the two kiosks outside of the kitchen. You select from the menu, make your payment, and assigned a number to notify you when your order is ready. They send messages to you via text. I was with a friend mid-afternoon on a Saturday. There was just a couple of people inside when we arrived. The evenings are usually busier with several people inside and on the outdoor courtyard which has a few tables. We both ordered cheesecake and we loved them. Very fresh, flavorful, and creamy in texture. I had the Oreo Cheesecake and my friend had the Mocha Cheesecake. My friend also had a Fusion Mocha Shake which he said tasted great with the right amount of mocha flavoring for his taste. We spoke to the owner/baker after we ate to compliment his desserts. I asked how business was and he said unfortunately slow. He mentioned how restaurants in general were having a hard time in the current uncertain economy. It has nothing to do with his products. The desserts and treats are great. If you can, give this spot a try. And the prices are reasonable considering the quality of the desserts. There's a promotion for new customers. Whatever amount you spend on your first visit, you earn that amount in credits towards your next purchase. It's all automated through your phone number. Open everyday until midnight. There are complimentary board games to play while dining. Limited parking in the plaza or street parking. It's great to have a quality dessert café in my neighborhood. read more

Had a friend's meet up reunion at Sweets Talk in West Hollywood and it was so much fun. You cannot miss the venue because it says "Sweets Talk" outside of the place in huge letters and there's a boba drinks sandwich boards advertising on the sidewalk. It's a petit venue with comfy couch seating, chairs and cute table that you can connect. We did that since there were about 7 of us. You order from the two kiosks or off of your phone so remember that they do not take cash as payment. There's so many fun options on the menus from scrumptious desserts, hot and cold beverages like teas and coffees. I had to have an iced boba beverage. So yummy. Our server who may also be the owner was very nice. Quick service, like we received text messages that your order has been placed and it was brought to our table within minutes. Incredible and he was very cheerful. While conversations were happening I noticed a cool shelf and on the shelf were games! Fun board and card games that continued the our mini party! This place was open until 11pm so it cool to have a coffee shop that stays open late. I took public transportation but there is underground parking at the venue, there are tons of parking meters and parking in the residential area. This place is YUMMY! read more

Sweets Talk is among the hot and new boba tea cafe shop to open in West Hollywood. Located on Santa Monica Bl and Fairfax. This cafe is open until midnight for all the night owls. Covered outdoor patio seating with cool marble walls, and a view of busy SaMo blvd and Fairfax. Limited street parking. Conveniently, I did shop at Wholefoods across the street and parked at that lot and afterwards walked here... a little suggestion, just know there is a security guard monitoring so careful! I've driven pass this area and my visits to try the honey green tea with lychee and desserts was fantastic only because the owner Matt was super accommodating, helpful and friendly. I'm not a fan of boba but prefer Aloe or Lychee in my honey green tea, it was thirst quenching and I requested that it be prepared less than 50% sweet and it was perfect. The desserts satisfied my sweet tooth even though I can only have a couple of bites and had the rest boxed togo. Want to point out, this is not the best area, in terms of aesthetics of the area, it's very traffic busy and there are more transients. My visit was cut earlier than I wanted due to a transient smoking less than 25 feet away and I can't stand cigarette smoke. The city of West Hollywood does NOT allow smoking within close proximity of dining areas, but obviously the rule is not enforced :( The menu offered other desserts and tea versions which I would like to try, on my next visits hopefully without Anu smokers nearby! When you're wanting to quench your thirst, satisfy your sweet tooth, and since sweets do talk, there's a sweet treat waiting for you at Sweets Talk... worthy of your visit. Because the owner was extraordinarily genuinely helpful and accommodating to Me, 5 stars!!! read more

Matt is so kind and helpful and brings your order out so quick! He makes sure everything tastes great and encourages you to bring your friends! Love this little neighborhood spot! They're open late and have dessert! What else do you need? I tried pistachio and taro cheesecakes - both taste heavenly. Portion is huge! The guy that works there is always super attentive and nice. They also have board games which is awesome! read more

The BEST lavender milk tea with lychee jelly. My go to drink for years when the owner was at Cafe 70 in Culver City. We were soooo happy to stumble across Sweets Talk and found out that Matt is back at it at a new shop. We don't come as often bc we don't live close, but it's always such a joy seeing Matt. He is truly the kindest man. Come support this small biz! Also just tried the custard cheesecake today and it is BOMB! read more

Grab a quick boba or dessert here on the late night. Or sit and kick it with your friends in the small but very friendly and welcoming outdoor space. Parking is available behind the shop - I think. When Bohemia up on Sunset is out of reach, this is the new place for the boba fix. Matt the owner was all smiles and was accommodating when I asked for an unsweetened Oolong with boba. So glad to see a boba spot on this corner of Fairfax and Santa Monica Blvd where the Starbucks used to be. It's authentic with good ol' Asian options like taro. Non-dairy milk is the default for the vegans. (Yo, most of Asians aren't great with lactose!) Matt, the owner, has years of experience in the restaurant industry and thought of everything. Check out the games shelf! I'm excited to think of hosting a game night here to meet some neighbors. Two digital screens to order. Stop by for cookies and cheesecake too. Lots of seating. I was so excited to try a new boba place, but their boba looked nothing like it the picture and it tasted horrible and I kindly asked if there is any way I could exchange the drink or get my money back and they refused. Bad experience, wouldn't recommend. read more
