I've been here a couple of times and thought it was time to review this establishment. Located at the busy intersection of Santa Monica Boulevard and Fairfax in West Hollywood; you won't be disappointed. It's a small space with a few tables inside with multiple large sliding glass doors that open onto the intersection on one side and a courtyard on the other side. It gives the place a nice urban feel with plenty of foot traffic outside and people watching. You order from one of the two kiosks outside of the kitchen. You select from the menu, make your payment, and assigned a number to notify you when your order is ready. They send messages to you via text. I was with a friend mid-afternoon on a Saturday. There was just a couple of people inside when we arrived. The evenings are usually busier with several people inside and on the outdoor courtyard which has a few tables. We both ordered cheesecake and we loved them. Very fresh, flavorful, and creamy in texture. I had the Oreo Cheesecake and my friend had the Mocha Cheesecake. My friend also had a Fusion Mocha Shake which he said tasted great with the right amount of mocha flavoring for his taste. We spoke to the owner/baker after we ate to compliment his desserts. I asked how business was and he said unfortunately slow. He mentioned how restaurants in general were having a hard time in the current uncertain economy. It has nothing to do with his products. The desserts and treats are great. If you can, give this spot a try. And the prices are reasonable considering the quality of the desserts. There's a promotion for new customers. Whatever amount you spend on your first visit, you earn that amount in credits towards your next purchase. It's all automated through your phone number. Open everyday until midnight. There are complimentary board games to play while dining. Limited parking in the plaza or street parking. It's great to have a quality dessert café in my neighborhood. read more

Had a friend's meet up reunion at Sweets Talk in West Hollywood and it was so much fun. You cannot miss the venue because it says "Sweets Talk" outside of the place in huge letters and there's a boba drinks sandwich boards advertising on the sidewalk. It's a petit venue with comfy couch seating, chairs and cute table that you can connect. We did that since there were about 7 of us. You order from the two kiosks or off of your phone so remember that they do not take cash as payment. There's so many fun options on the menus from scrumptious desserts, hot and cold beverages like teas and coffees. I had to have an iced boba beverage. So yummy. Our server who may also be the owner was very nice. Quick service, like we received text messages that your order has been placed and it was brought to our table within minutes. Incredible and he was very cheerful. While conversations were happening I noticed a cool shelf and on the shelf were games! Fun board and card games that continued the our mini party! This place was open until 11pm so it cool to have a coffee shop that stays open late. I've only ordered Sweet Talking through DoorDash, but wow, the Taro Cheesecake is absolutely life changing. It's not overly sweet at all, which makes it even better, and the flavor is so rich and delicious without being heavy. The portion size is also huge for a single slice, so the $9 price tag is 100% worth it. It easily feels like something you could share, though you probably won't want to. Every bite is seriously so yummy. If you're even remotely considering the Taro Cheesecake, get it. I'll definitely be ordering again. read more

Easy to order on a screen, parking available in the neighborhood, and plenty of drinks to choose from. The boba is not as soft as you might find in other classic shops but the owner is nice, they have a free drink (next time) for new members of the loyalty club, and the tart was surprisingly delicious! The little padded chairs are very small--very uncomfortable for me as a big guy but it was just right for the two others I came with, and they have other tables and chairs that would be more inclusive so to speak. Just stopped by to get some drinks while we were in the area. Being on Santa Monica Blvd parking was abysmal, but there are some lots nearby. Their interior was pretty cozy, they had ample seating and board games you could sit and play. All their ordering was also on kiosks which was very convenient. Our drinks were out in just a few minutes. My Thai tea was pretty decent, with a generous size for the price. I was disappointed by the sweetness; since Thai tea tends to run very sweet I opted with the 75% sweetness, but my drink tasted more like 25% sweetness. My advice would be to stick to full sweetness if you want a better experience. read more

Loved everything about this boba shop, which isn't really just a boba shop but something much more. First of all, it's right in the corner of a busy intersection and it's completely open air. It was really fun people watching, excellent entertainment for my dog AND baby. Second, while the decor is sleek and modern, there's a cozy feel too, when seated at the little tables. You order at kiosks without any hassle, which adds to the modern feel of the place, but then Matt, the owner, comes out and is absolutely the sweetest. Third, but most important of all, the drinks and desserts are fantastic. I really enjoyed the matcha latte which had the perfect balance of sweetness. The soda can tops are so unique. Ok let's talk about the desserts: get them. You can't go wrong with any choice. Matt is a talented baker because the sweets are divine. Sweets Talk is among the hot and new boba tea cafe shop to open in West Hollywood. Located on Santa Monica Bl and Fairfax. This cafe is open until midnight for all the night owls. Covered outdoor patio seating with cool marble walls, and a view of busy SaMo blvd and Fairfax. Limited street parking. Conveniently, I did shop at Wholefoods across the street and parked at that lot and afterwards walked here... a little suggestion, just know there is a security guard monitoring so careful! I've driven pass this area and my visits to try the honey green tea with lychee and desserts was fantastic only because the owner Matt was super accommodating, helpful and friendly. I'm not a fan of boba but prefer Aloe or Lychee in my honey green tea, it was thirst quenching and I requested that it be prepared less than 50% sweet and it was perfect. The desserts satisfied my sweet tooth even though I can only have a couple of bites and had the rest boxed togo. Want to point out, this is not the best area, in terms of aesthetics of the area, it's very traffic busy and there are more transients. My visit was cut earlier than I wanted due to a transient smoking less than 25 feet away and I can't stand cigarette smoke. The city of West Hollywood does NOT allow smoking within close proximity of dining areas, but obviously the rule is not enforced :( The menu offered other desserts and tea versions which I would like to try, on my next visits hopefully without Anu smokers nearby! When you're wanting to quench your thirst, satisfy your sweet tooth, and since sweets do talk, there's a sweet treat waiting for you at Sweets Talk... worthy of your visit.
