From the moment my boyfriend and I walked up to the coffee shop the staff was so friendly Natalia and Claudia, and one of the baristas Claudia even opened the door for us to enter. The cafe is cozy and modern, like a San Francisco tech vibe, nice music playing, low decibel for easy to conversation. The coffee wasn't very acidic thankfully Perfect balance with my oat milk. TROPICOQUETA Guava-forward matcha drink. A little bit of fizz. There was an extra mineral taste. Could be from the carbonated water. Matcha was okay. But it didn't shine. It tasted muddled. It wasn't good. I always want to try mango mixed matchas, but this one was a letdown. CUSTOMER SERVICE Friendly service. Greeted as I first walked in and the barista even offered to answer any questions in regards to their menu. She was very easy-going and was not rushing me to order, which was nice. INDOOR + OUTDOOR SEATS Indoor sofas, tables, seats and bar seats. Outdoor tables and seats available. Very relaxed vibe overall. Most of the seats and tables were occupied and most people were there working on their laptops. PARKING There is a parking garage right next to Noun, but it is not free parking. I did not park there. This is a great new cafe for working, great interior and exterior space with lots of tables! I most recently got the Yuzu Dream which was unique and great for a summer day, but I've also had matcha here as well that was good. I love that they are open day and night as a great meet up or working spot. I will say that the prices are a bit high, I can understand this is a new spot and I love to support local but the yuzu dream was basically yuzu and sparkling water and it was almost $9 which is a bit steep in my opinion. Unfortunately, I think the more interesting thing I've noticed both times I've been here is that the service is a bit lacking, I was the only person there ordering a drink and there were 4 employees and it still took a solid 5 minutes for them to make a flavored sparkling water drink and they were openly talking to each other about "oh we don't have that ingredient so we use that instead" which felt odd since I had already ordered and paid and then they didn't provide me any context? lol just kinda odd. Discovered this spot a on TikTok and went later that day. Great vibes. Went with the "short stack" drink, so so good. The sea salt is an amazing touch. Came here on a rainy Saturday afternoon with a friend. Street parking was easy to find. Plenty of seating inside and outside. I was excited to see that Marina Del Rey got a new coffeeshop with a nice aesthetic, this area has needed one for way too long. We came around 7 am on a weekday morning and got parking right outside. It didn't look like they had their own dedicated carpark. Noun's interior is cozy and gorgeous. It's the best thing about this place. Service was friendly and welcoming. We were surprised to find that they didn't have some regular espresso-based drinks, like lattes or flat whites. They had their own drink creations, which I appreciated, but it was unusual that they didn't offer the basics. I got a matcha latte which tasted mostly like almond milk, and my husband, who normally orders flat whites, had to get one of their specialty drinks, which was way too sweet for him. He also ordered a breakfast item which he didn't enjoy. I may try this place again when they're more established. read more

Noun is a good little coffee shop near me. I always get the Matcha Heaven, it's very rich and intense but it really hits the spot when I need a hit of caffeine in the morning. Honestly, just for this drink it's a perfect place. The food and pastries here are just alright, and overpriced imo. The customer service was excellent, but the coffee itself was just ok. I'm paying $8 for a cup of coffee; it better be good than the one I have at home. First, I tried a pumpkin iced coffee, which was too sweet for me, so I asked the barista to make me a new one, which was the golden hour. Stopped by on a Sunday morning. Ordered a pour over, iced oat vanilla latte and a breakfast quesadilla. Everything was just okay, but also overpriced. Typically I'd expect the pour over to be served in a warm cup (e.g., warmed with hot water) but it wasn't. We parked on the street, it's next to an apartment though so you may be able to park in their garage. Definitely a cozy space, but for the price and quality, I'd rather go somewhere else for coffee. I was pleasantly surprised to find this cozy coffee shop in Marina Del Rey just a short drive from the nearby Costco. I had the Gold Rush latte (espresso, dulce, autumnal spices) and Cachapa (a Venezuelan sweet corn pancake stuffed with a hard cheese; their version has whipped cream and lime zest on top) - both of which I thought were delicious. This place is perfect to lounge with your partner and puppy or catch up on work on a laptop. There are a couple of reviews regarding poor service that I did not personally experience. First impression on Noun Cafe was it gave me that artsy and contemporary co-working space vibe. Lo-fi background music, aesthetic design, with plenty of seats occupying various needs. Cozy couches for those who just hanged and chill, bigger group table that could accommodate people meeting-up or even working/studying together, and individual table for whom working on their own. This space used to be occupied by another coffee shop, which only opened until early afternoon so I was so excited knowing a brand new cafe now took it over and opened until pretty late in the evening every weekends. Seeing the vibe energized me even more especially having its location being so close to me, so I could easily hopped there when I fancied ambiance change and got fed up with my home working desk. They did offer plenty of food options throughout the day, various options of tea and coffee based drinks, and even alcoholic drinks since they did sell themselves as coffee and wine spot. Soaking under the sun watching the Glencoe traffic was another choice offered and the space was nicely well-shaded. I got 'The Usual', which was their version of Iced Vanilla Latte, served with house-made vanilla syrup. Selling their in-house blend as well, they offered stellar medium-bodied coffee and I fell for their vanilla syrup which came as perfect pair to the coffee. With plenty of seats available and speedy service, the place doubltlessly made it to my regular to-go list now. read more

Tried to come back from my not good experience 8 months ago with the no taste matcha, my friend said can we try? I said sure!!! We ordered an ice coffee and she could not stop laughing! She was like that coffee taste ok but is a small glass cup! Then we ordered a banana bread to share and it tasted seriously like rubber. Employees are very friendly and helpful with menu perusal/make choices. First time I tried Matcha latte and it was very much water down; second time. Sadly the customer service is lacking, their food menu changes constantly, &the drinks are mid. Last time I came, they weren't busy and we decided to try a new food item. It's an open kitchen so i knew they could see me and figured they wouldn't leave me hanging... I stopped by Noun since I live nearby and used to frequent this spot when it was Ten Cafe, where the coffee was consistently excellent. The new décor is beautiful -- I'd easily give five stars for the atmosphere. The staff was also friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, the coffee itself was extremely disappointing. I ordered a pour-over, and when it arrived it was so light in color it looked like tea. The taste was even more concerning -- it reminded me of running water through a Keurig to clean it out. I drink my coffee black, so there was nothing masking the flavor. I tried to power through it while playing cards with my son, but I simply couldn't finish it. I went back to the counter and explained that it didn't taste like coffee at all. I asked if they had espresso, and when told yes, I ordered a double espresso with a little hot water on the side so I could make my own Americano. I watched the shot being pulled and it appeared to be a single, despite ordering a double. The color and extraction didn't look right for espresso. Then a very large amount of water was poured over it, completely diluting it. When I mentioned that it seemed like there might not be enough coffee being used, the barista simply said, "That's how we make it." For a shop that promotes itself as being "focused on premium coffee by day," the execution just isn't there. Premium coffee isn't just about décor and branding -- it's about proper extraction, correct ratios, quality equipment, and properly trained baristas. If you're going to position yourselves as a premium coffee shop, invest in equipment that reflects that standard -- machines like the La Marzocco Linea PB, Nuova Simonelli Aurelia Wave, or Victoria Arduino Black Eagle. These are respected Italian espresso machines known for precise temperature stability, multi-boiler systems, durability, and consistent extraction. Just as important, hire (or train) someone who truly understands how to dial them in and use them properly. Great machines only perform as well as the people operating them. At over $6 plus tax for a pour-over (and leaving a $1 tip), I expect something that tastes better than a basic $2 drip down the street. I truly hope they refine their brewing standards, because the space, location, and atmosphere deserve coffee that matches the aesthetic. read more

We also shared the bean and cheese burrito (yummmmm) The ambiance alone is like something I've never seen before.
