My wife and I stopped here when visiting Venice. It's a very nice coffee shop with a sort of a retro vibe right near the beach and surrounded by nice cafes and restaurants and is next to Voodoo Doughnuts. We ordered the Spanish Latte. It was rich, creamy, indulgent and hit the right notes for a coffee. The barista who served us was friendly and efficient. We chilled a bit while savoring the coffee in a nice cafe atmosphere. There was good people watching outside the windows. The reason for the 4-star (vs. 5-star) rating was the cost of the Spanish Latte: $8+. That's a lot, even for a really good coffee.
I just love the ambiance of this coffee shop. It's so down to earth I can sit all day here and enjoy a Spanish Latte! I made the good choice because it was so good! Not too sweet but a lot of flavor! The barista was such an expert in preparing the Spanish latte it was fun watching him!
Menotti's is a Venice beach gem! The staff are so sweet and gave me great local reccs while making me an excellent Spanish latte, a little less sweet as requested. Came in the next day for an orange espresso tonic which is my ultimate hot sunny weather coffee of choice. The interior is very cozy and great for reading a book and staying a while, and the outdoor patio is nice too.
I was really excited to check out Menotti's, as this coffee shop originates from Tokyo. I ordered the Spanish Latte, and while it 'looked' like it was expertly made and aesthetically pleasing, it was not brewed well, weak, and watered down; probably one of the worst lattes I've had in some time. There was a steady line, and it seemed like a favorite for the locals. Cashier was friendly, but the barista could have been better. The space is small, but it was well-decorated and hipster-like. Metered street parking can be found in the area - and, don't try to think you can make a quick run, because the parking enforcement team are quick and they will ticket! +avoid their coffee/lates +metered street parking
Menotti's is hands down my favorite coffee shop in all of Los Angeles. The vibes are always pristine, the music is lovely, and the coffee is unreal. The latte, Spanish latte, and the VBC are especially smooth, and my three go to drinks. Honestly, I wish they sold all three by the gallon. The interior decor is beautiful and cozy, though on the smaller side, but there's plenty of outdoor seating that more than makes up for it. You can tell the baristas genuinely love what they do, and they're amazing at it. It's the perfect spot to get my creative juices flowing as a writer, and I always leave feeling inspired (and well caffeinated). It's also the kind of spot that makes you want to linger, order another cup, and come back way too often.
Menotti's Coffee Stop never misses. We ordered the Spanish lattes and they were incredible--easily 12/10. Smooth, perfectly balanced, and just the right amount of sweetness. What really stood out was how fast and efficient the baristas were. We barely finished ordering and our coffees were already almost ready--super impressive without feeling rushed. The vibe inside is great too: cool greenery and vines throughout the space, and when we walked in they had jazz playing, which set the tone perfectly. Relaxed, stylish, and welcoming. Amazing coffee, great atmosphere, and top-tier service. Definitely a spot I'll keep coming back to
Loved this place, the coffee was excellent and the special coffees were delicious. I really like the baristas as they were chatty and interacted as well. The line for coffee tells the story of this place as well as all the locals going there. Highly recommend .
Was with friends walking along the boardwalk and decided we needed a coffee after brunch haha. We stopped at Menottis and I got the Spanish latte - iced with oat milk. It was so delicious - one of the best Spanish lattes I've had. The service was also amazing. Will def be back if I'm in the area !
Great spot about 2 blocks off the strand in Venice! Small spot with a great outdoor patio. Very modern inside, quick service, and friendly staff? Pro Tip: get your coffee to go and watch the skateboarders at the skate park on the ocean!
- Conqueror's Deduction - After I tried hundreds of other coffee shops, I don't like their coffee anymore. Coffee here is too acidic and has a "burnt" sensation for me. Unless you love acidic coffee, you should definitely avoid their espresso. Espresso here is just terrible. Especially barista level is inconsistent here, depending on the barista, the taste quality varies. I'm no longer a fan here.
We came a couple weeks ago and tried a hot and an iced version of the Spanish latte as well as a couple pastries. The lattes were delicious. I subbed the iced with almond milk and it still tasted amazing The service was fine. The place is very aesthetically pleasing. I will say it feels a bit pricey as I'm still getting used to 2 drinks and 2 pastries being $30 but nonetheless it was a great pick me up and tasted good
I really loved their Spanish latte. The ratio of milk to espresso was very balanced and the amount of condensed milk they added was perfect since it wasn't too sweet. It was a bit expensive for the size but the quality was worth it. The interior seems very homey and they have some seats inside but they also have plenty outdoors if you want to spend a slow morning outside.
Early morning coffee and a scone with a friend as the marine layer slowly lifted. One of those very LA moments. Service was quick, the Venice vibe effortlessly cool, and the latte did exactly what it needed to do: smooth, focused, and quietly energizing. Always a good place to start the day.

Excellent tasting coffee! Highly recommend the Bees Knees (honey lavender latte) + Spanish Latte (cinnamon + condensed milk). In addition to coffee, they have a curated collection of vinyls for sale. We purchased a few 1970s-1980s funk and soul records from South-East Asia. This will be my go-to coffee shop in LA! read more

If I had to pick one coffee shop that lives rent-free in my head, it's Menotti's. Yeah, the prices have gone up over the years, but somehow I still find myself thinking about this place all the time. It's one of those spots that's worth the occasional splurge because the quality is just that good. The Spanish Latte is easily one of my favorites and a must-try if you're visiting for the first time. But if you know about the secret menu... sheeeesh. I'll have to gatekeep that one. Let's just say it's hands-down the best latte I've ever had. Perfect balance, amazing flavor notes, and one of those drinks that makes you stop and appreciate how good coffee can actually be. The atmosphere is just as great as the coffee. There are games to play, cozy corners to hang out in, and little hidden gems throughout the shop if you're paying attention. It's the kind of place where you can grab a drink and end up staying way longer than you planned. A true Venice classic and still one of the best coffee spots I've ever been to. Menotti's offers supreme espresso. For me it's the best option for high quality cafe near the Venice boardwalk. The barista's are skilled and know how to pull proper lattes etc. Kudos also for the general good vibes from Masa and Christian who are often behind the counter serving up the finest brew. There's also a spacious sunny outdoor area for sitting, studying, catching up with friends. Last time I was there the Venice Fire Fighter crew was at the table next to us which was cute. Even though it's positioned right by the boardwalk, Menotti's is just as much of a local's spot as it is suited for visitors. read more

Perfection. I ordered a cappuccino and am still mesmerized by the quality. Come for that, alone. This isn't a work place, though. No outlets anywhere but behind the for-sale t shirt/sweatshirt rack. Charging can be a reality, though, there. Insane location, just a skip to the water and boardwalk. Love their music. Amazingly, they have a record player and some wondrous tunes, 1960's blues, to be specific. The staff? Nice and caring. And I got a parking space of angels, just 17' to the door! Took a 6:30 AM yoga class and was looking for coffee and this was already open so I stopped by and got a Darth Mocha, which isn't sweet at all, they use a dark chocolate, espresso, charcoal, sea salt, and milk of your choice and you can get it hot or cold. A sweet girl that was in my yoga class actually let me in on a little secret.... if you're in line and you're at the front... the frame to the right is actually a secret menu so you can just pop it right off and the menu will be on the back ! I am a sucker for cinnamon donuts, and when I saw the cinnamon twist, I knew I needed to have it. It tastes like a churro and it would probably be so delicious dipped in your hot coffee, but I opted for a cold ! It is very vibey inside, but there is seating inside or outside depending on the weather and what your vibe is. The workers are super sweet and really know their menu well so you can ask for recommendations!! I'll be back after more yoga classes read more

Stopped by the Venice location for a quick coffee run--such a great spot to roll up on a bike and sit outside. I got a flat white with regular milk. Service was super fast and friendly. They even asked if it was for here or to-go, which I always appreciate. The space is really well maintained with cute little details that make it feel thoughtful without being overdone. I'll definitely be back--easy spot for a quick caffeine fix or to chill for a bit outside. read more

Menotti's Coffee Shop is the perfect coffee shop to stop by in the mornings. They have a relatively small indoor seating, designed for grab and go customers, but don't worry, they also have a large outdoor patio seating. I love their lattes, espresso, and Spanish lattes. Not sure how they make them, but it's delicious and super strong. Their staff are super kind and speedy, especially when making the latte art! read more
Such a cute little coffee shop by the beach. They have outdoor seating. Plenty of space for friends and is pet friendly. The price is decent and the coffee is good. What more can you ask for? I tried the Spanish latte. Espresso, milk, condensed milk. It hit the spot. Would definitely stop by again for sure. read more

When you walk in the first thing you notice is the music is bumping! Even early in the morning, the staff is definitely ready to go. - I enjoyed my coffee and I felt the stuff took a great deal of care and making it. I also feel they take a great deal of pride in the set up of the space with fresh flowers, trendy aprons, and local art. - They have seating inside and they are located a half block from the Venice Beach boardwalk. read more

I just discovered this place which is amazing and makes a great Latin or Spanish latte but today I was received by a very non-smiling not so want to be there kind of look service. I asked her at the end if she can please put cinnamon on it and her answer was, ummm yeah that's what we do to all of them. They're like okay I work at a cafe and I'm a cashier been doing it for years in Brentwood to top off... I would never receive my guests like that ever just saying.. apparently it bothered me for me to post this other than that I love this place and I'll continue to come.. the guys in the morning and girl with tattoos are amazing!!!!!!! read more

AMBIANCE - Very, very close to the beach of Venice. This spot is beautiful inside and out. Some very limited seating inside, but a decent patio area out front. FOOD - I went in for my first time ever and ordered for a coworker and I. I ordered a Hot Latte with Oat Milk and an Iced Spanish Latte. The hot latte was good (according to my coworker) and my Spanish Latte was delicious. Both drinks were filled to the rim of the cup, which was nice! I will say though, It's a smidge on the pricier end for a typical coffee shop. SERVICE - This is where my review gets a star knocked off. The barista who greeted me was just not it. She was cold and uninviting. Not the absolute worst service I've ever received but it's certainly not even close to being friendly service. I don't know. This was my first time ever trying it and although I really enjoyed the coffee, it makes me hesitant because of the service. read more

Great service and great coffee so basically everything you'd want in your local java stop. Cute atmosphere, as well, close to the boardwalk. Perhaps even a bit of a tourist spot because of its proximity. I'm basic and do a cold brew black but really enjoyed theirs. Best coffee in Venice! read more
