I've been to Little Lunch Coffee a few times now and it's a cute option for coffee and chilling at. Interesting thing that I don't love though -I've never been greeted when I walked in or when going to the register. Every time I've gone in they just look at me and wait for me to just start ordering. I'm not used to that but that's the vibe here, no hellos. They have a small parking lot across the side street which is a blessing in Venice and appreciated. I liked their chocolate chip cookie a lot, the pastries were good and no complaints there. However, I never had a drink I was in love with though they were all totally drinkable. I feel sad because I was excited to come here to try this Aussie vibes coffee shop. Found Little Lunch Coffee shop on a favorite SoCal spots list made by Carissa Stanton (BroccYourBody). It's not far from the beach in Venice. The space is clean and spacious. When you enter, there's a counter to order drinks and a refrigerated area with burritos and other drinks. They warm up the burritos from the refrigerated section and have some pre-packaged salsas you can buy. The burrito was pretty good! They heat it well so it has a nice crisp. I also ordered a good matcha latte. The area is spacious and they are dog friendly. There were a lot of people with computers working. They also have a bathroom. read more

I had been wanting to try this spot for probably two years. I always drive by on my way to work but it was never the right time. I was either running late, or there was no parking when I did have 10 min to spare. Today I got into the area a few min early and decided it was time. I had been craving a matcha for weeks and figured I would treat myself. I ordered it with a little bit of honey since they said it comes unsweetened. Its a cute spot with plenty of tables in around the back corner and a small bench to wait up front. Staff was fine. Not rude, but not welcoming or nice, just there, and there to do a job. They call my name, I grab my matcha and rush to my car, I have a sip as I drive away and was devastated, it tasted like straight up milk and honey. I should've known when the color was a dull minty pistachio and not bright green. There was no time for me to go back so there goes $8. It was not drinkable, not even worth the calories so I tossed it. So sad. This happens way too often at coffee shops in LA. read more

Passing this cute cafe for uncountable times, I finally made my way there. Yeah, it's always tricky visiting places at the busiest spot of Venice Beach - joy of finding parking spot in LA! Besides they mostly looked pretty busy on weekends, probably great stop to make while enjoying the stroll by the beach. Their interior was nothing but SLAY. Period. Contemporary retro vibe, with great ambience to just sit killing time or even get some work done. For the cup size, the coffee was quite pricey yet the great taste made it worth. Use to be one of my favorite coffee shops in Venice but it truly has gone so downhill in the last year or so. I find most of the baristas to now be aloof and impersonal whereas before they were friendly and professional. If you enjoy real matcha, don't get it here. I've had it many times and I've stopped trying to "give it a chance". They are clearly using crap matcha and it shows. Once it was like yellow and had my husband not ordered it I would have given it right back to them. If you're going to come here, stick to the espresso drinks then walk out promptly. read more

I came here on a Friday morning around 10am. This is a cute coffee shop with a fun and chill vibe. I tried their seasonal pineapple matcha. This drink was very sweet, but very pineapple forward and refreshing. I also got an egg and potato breakfast burrito. The burritos were premade and in a cold case, and then the barista warmed it up. It took the barista a long time to warm it up, but it tasted pretty good, a decent breakfast burrito. The burrito needed some salsa or something though, I think they may have had some but for an extra cost. We took the food to go, so I didn't get to enjoy the ambiance in the cafe, but it seemed cute and clean with lots of seating. read more

Where do I start? I'm not sure how you can mess up a cafe that's put in such a perfect location so bad. I walk in, friendly, sure, but not one emotion in the workers eyes. The food, horrid, breakfast burrito was so dry and tasteless that if I continued eating onto the container I wouldn't be surprised, hot sauce could've helped tho. The cooking process? Not there, toasted up (Starbucks style, mm yum!) food wise, however, I'd say my Venice fog was GREAT! It was one of the yummiest drinks I've had....salted caramel latte my friend got...mmmm not so much. The ordering process was odd. You walk in and turn left to get in line, but because of the horrible lay out, everyone that walks in the door cuts right in front of u, even if you're literally second in line. Also, put a menu on the side too, it'll save so much time for when people actually reach the register. My friend ordered first, I went second, and my other friend went last. She was left there for 10 minutes, without the cashier saying a single word of when she'll be back, or any type of warning. A line starts to build behind you. Suddenly you're extremely overwhelmed and the cafe is way past capacity. Once you're done ordering? Good luck trying to find a place to sit, we waited for about 15 minutes for our food and drinks and stilllll there was not a single chair or table open. At least it's by the ocean, we ended up sitting on the sand with our cardboard burrito, miscellaneous latte, and beautiful Venice Fog Tea. read more

I used to be a regular at the cafe that used to be in this spot, so when I saw that Little Lunch opened in its place, I wanted to give it a chance. Every once in a while... there's a lil westside magic. I don't really understand how this place works... great useable space, great coffee, wifi. It all makes sense but this close to the ocean at these prices... in a corporate coffee world of order, pay ,and get out of here. Lil lunch coffee is a remote work caffeine oasis with comfort and customer service. I don't want to blow up my spot so I can't sit and work but others need to see what a coffee shop should be. Such a cute coffee shop! Little lunch is a cute coffee shop right off of Venice Beach. The workers are so great and they have a fun holiday menu with festive drinks. The fun of Little Lunch is it's menu is always fresh, seasonal, new. Lots of new pumpkin lattes variations at the moment since autumn is setting in. I'll try them all, eventually. This is a great coffee shop in Venice. What's not to love about available parking, lots of indoor and outdoor seating, and being steps away from the beach? Plus, there is wifi available if you're trying to work (but be warned that outlets are few and far between). The coffee was of good quality and the prices are what you'd expect at trendy coffee shop. Food and snacks are available as well. Note that if you're in a rush, this is not the place for you as I stood in line for ~20 min on a Friday morning. I've tried almost every drink on their menu, and they're all amazing. The coconut cold brew is one of my favorites--it's not too bitter, and the macadamia milk adds great flavor. Drink: Venice Fog (a variation of the London Fog). Comparing London Fogs I've gotten before, I should've known it's a bit sweet for me. Maybe it's the Tache Pistachio Milk they put in there. (I haven't tried the food yet, so I will update the next time I do) Ambiance: I came here to study in the morning to pleasantly discover other people on Zoom for Hybrid work. The sun burns behind my back so badly that I have the urge to pull down the blinds, though none of the other guests seemed to mind. However, there was only one outlet in the back behind the bench - that would be the spot I aim to sit next time LOL. The area is an interesting mix between a shop and a study lounge, which is something I've never seen in a cafe. (I am a Ktown/DT cafe girl, and those are build for studying. But things are different in Venice and Santa Monica as these are more tourist spots). Service: You pretty much pick up your order from the counter, so there isn't much to evaluate. The staff are very friendly. It's a crowded doorway and a line to order. As it advertised on the website, the cafe does carry a sense of local community. I saw two posters showcasing local events happening in the cafe (one about a girls only lunch and the other about silverware workshop). I will definitely check those out! read more

This is my second time coming here, and honestly love it. First of all, when I arrived there was a dj playing. Never have I heard of a dj in a coffee shop, and even though I was doing work, it helped me lock in even better, the coffee was good (BEST MATE (recommend)) and I ended up getting the prosciutto and cheese sandwich, which was super good too. Greenwashing over service. At 3:40 PM I asked for a real mug for-here at Little Lunch Coffee + Snacks. First I was told they were "closing soon" (with 1 hour 20 minutes left). Then the excuse changed to "saving water," so evenings are to-go only (daytime is for-here). Multiple peer-reviewed studies show disposable cups and lids are rarely recycled; hot drinks in these containers can shed microplastics and PFAS, and polystyrene lids may leach styrene. Drinking from them exposes people to documented chronic health risks including inflammation, cardiovascular strain, and toxic buildup in the body. At the same time, single-use packaging adds CO emissions and long-lasting waste from production through disposal, worsening environmental pollution. That's not sustainability -- it's greenwashing and poor customer service. I left for a café that respects both customers and the planet. read more

I'm someone who can't stand flies, especially in places that serve food. Unfortunately, this place was a big disappointment. The space was hot and uncomfortable, and there were several flies flying around, which is unacceptable for any place serving food. The service was poor, the food was overpriced, and the experience was so unpleasant that I couldn't even finish my meal. I took a few bites, and ended up leaving to find another café.
