It's 3am and I'm wide awake. And you know what I'm thinking about...The new coffee spot I tried yesterday morning. In fact, I thought about that coffee all damn day! It might be the best coffee I've ever had...and it in my neighborhood!!! Feels like I just won the lottery...for real. Great Coffee is that serious! I mean, I called three people this morning and sent videos of this fine coffee. They don't even live in CA either! I'm actually sitting here in bed looking up how early they open tomorrow, which led me to this review. Scrolling through fellow neighbors reviews who have also fallen into the roasted coffee love spell with this joint, One Cedar. I honestly can't wait to go back, I am quite literally counting down the hours...trying to get back to sleep like a kid on Christmas morning, because the sooner I'm asleep the sooner that coffee is in my hands. Already know I'm walking out with my triple shot (extra ice) almond milk latte. I'm going to try the matcha latte as well. What? I like to party. The ambiance is chill af. Locally owned spot in Santa Monica. I'm glad that this cafe opened up in Ocean Park as it was a nice neighborhood walk. Came here with my boyfriend on a Saturday morning and had a matcha latte and latte. Both were well made and the owner/barista was super nice and personable. There are a couple of tables indoors and outdoors to sit and sip. There is metered parking out front. We really enjoyed our time here and will be back! read more

This place is legit. The owner is also the barista. He was running the place himself. A very simple and minimalistic spot with a couple tables inside and a couple tables outside. There were several obvious regulars chatting with him when I came in. Seems to be a well-loved spot. He was surprising a regular with a drink but still immediately addressed me. I got an iced vanilla latte. Basic but easiest to judge this drink between cafes. The espresso was extremely smooth. The drink was subtly sweet and the perfect amount of ice. A 10/10 iced vanilla latte. This was perfection to me. I wish I lived closer. Cost was not too steep for the area, especially for such a high class-crafted latte. read more

My best friend's husband recommended this place to us. While we were standing in line, I watched the barista interact with everyone in front of us. He was personable and knew small details about each of the customers waiting ahead of us telling me they were local regulars. It was our first time and I loved our interaction. My friend mentioned her husband and he asked who. She says, "He's a big white guy, buys a bag of coffee each week." Noah introduced himself and asked, "Does he take his coffee black?" I cracked up laughing that he just knew who we were talking about. I was visiting, but wish I lived closer bc I would love to have more of this delicious coffee on a regular basis. Alright Santa Monica, new spot alert. One Cedar opened up in recent weeks and they are already dialed in! The coffee taste is great and they have potential. I was able to try it out and their cortado is on point. Very well balanced. They have other options that you won't see around. The parking is great with both main street and side parking. In my excitement to endorse and try a new small business I mentioned tiktok sent me. I mentioned tiktok sent me andi was met immediately with scoffs, shaming, and disrespect. When I say immediate mean immediate. The owner was a blatant ass about me even being there as a product of tiktok. Owner clearly hates tiktok. Additionally, my previous review was responded to my the owner who shamed me again about my behavior, tried assert I was having a meltdown and also tried to shame my age. Avoid this place. Also, I'll be saving this in the case it's deleted again. I will not be silenced. Owner was rude and needs to be held accountable for it. If you do notention tiktok, you will likely have decent service and good coffee. read more

We LOVE ONE CEDAR! We tried the coffee together one day and have become regulars since that first sip. The drip coffee is always delicious and Noah has three sizes and prices it really well. We used to go to blue bottle about once a week and we haven't been since one Cedar opened because we prefer the drinks and the vibe here. We love to shop small and support local businesses and Noah has done such a great job. I love the espresso tonics as well! The only issue is it's really hard to drink coffee from other places after you've gotten used to this quality, price and taste.
