Americano coffee
Victoria S.

Cute specialty coffee shop with beautiful decor. There's lots of indoor seating with limited street parking. I got the mango & strawberry sorbetto gelato, which was dairy-free. It was very good, you can taste the fresh fruit. My husband enjoyed his Americano coffee. They also have teas, matcha, lemonade & a breakfast menu, it's a great place to hang out.

I return again this time to try their butterfly Pea flower iced latte and avocado toast. The avocado toast on multigrain bread provided a satisfying bite with a nice crunch. I loved the pomegranate seeds on top. The entire toast felt light and refreshing. The butterfly pea flower oatmilk latte didn't have much pea flower flavor. I tasted more oatmilk than pea flower. Service was excellent. It's spacious inside and has a nice ambiance for studying , working or catching up with friends. Needless to say, I'm a regular and a fan of this place.

Very good and kind service. Coffee I got was regular and cheap - I was there more for a workspace rather than food, but I enjoyed the atmosphere too. Not as cozy as one could wish but good enough to get something on the go. Coffee was made with professionalism. I had to wait a little though. Serving is very beautiful though. At no additional cost they just create some nice flowers and hearts on your drink - lovely to see when they put some extra work into it.

Espresso Cielo is a very nice coffee shop with plenty of coffee, pastry and breakfast items. They are open from early in the morning and located right next to the public parking lot making it extremely convenient to find! I went with the lavender latte and iced strawberry matcha which did not disappoint! I'm more of a coffee person but I actually enjoyed the matcha better here. When I got here in the morning there was literally a line out of the door but the staff really pushes to get orders out and makes the wait as short as possible Will definitely be coming back to try out the pastry and breakfast options here

Today our group of seven stopped by for coffee, gelato and sweets. Everyone was happy with their order and it was wonderful to catch up with friends in such a beautiful setting that satisfied all of our various cravings. The gorgeous turquoise mugs certainly make the coffee more appealing than it actually is. While our drinks were good, they weren't great. The cappucinos, lattes, chai and matchas were prepared well, but the quality of the ingredients didn't quite hit the mark. The gelatos particularly were not good and next time I would suggest ordering their drinks over the gelatos. The French toast donut we ordered was fresh, fluffy and perhaps the best of all our orders. Five stars for service. On a very busy holiday Monday, only two staff members were managing a long line of customers near the end of what I could only assume to be a very long and busy day. Despite appearing overwhelmed, they remained patient, professional and attentive..... and didn't make a single mistake with our orders. Their effort truly stood out and elevated the experience.

What a lovely experience!! The staff was so wonderful and the vibe here was really positive ! Elle (L) was so helpful and so hard working giving us great tips. My friend and I came here for a matcha and latte, they did not disappoint! There is public parking upstairs which I didn't notice and was driving around in circles so don't miss the parking lot! I will definitely come back again to try their vegan burrito!

Cute little coffee shop and cafe near third street promenade in Santa Monica. I stopped by for a quick drink after a workout class near by. It was pretty busy for an early-ish Sunday morning but service was relatively quick. Decent cup of coffee - I got a cortado. A little bitter but a nice way to start the day.

Espresso Cielo is located in the second street, which is a walking distance from the Promenade. There is a parking structure just above the coffee shop, in addition to street parking. The coffe shop has modern vibes. We ordered and paid first, then we got a number for our table. We picked our drinks when they were ready from the barista. Then one of the staff brought the rest of the food to our table. We ordered; - vegan Breakfast Burritos 5/5 "Just Egg" mung bean egg substitute, breakfast potatoes, vegan cheese, wrapped in spinach tortilla. It came with pico de gallo & guacamole. The burrito was very savory and enormous. - Lox Bagel; 5/5 Smoked Salmon, cream cheese, cucumber, pickled onions, garnished with capers and fresh dill on everything bagel. The Lox Bagel was very delicious. It had layers of smoked salmon (The Best!) - Gluten Free Chocolate Banana Bread 5/5 It was very moist and had well balanced flavor of banana and chocolate. For Drinks; We got drip coffee, Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte, and n ot Caramel macchiato. The drinks were refreshing and perfectly sweetened. The service was fast and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed our time there. It's a cute coffee shop, excellent location, delicious food, refreshing drinks and a great customer service.

If you're an early riser in Santa Monica, Espresso Cielo is the perfect spot to start your day. They open bright and early, making it easy to grab a fresh cup of coffee before the city wakes up. Whether you need a quick caffeine fix or a place to sit and enjoy a pastry, this café delivers every time. The quality of their coffee is consistently excellent. Their iced coffee is smooth and refreshing, and their iced tea is just as satisfying--perfect for a warm California morning. Plus, their baked goods never disappoint, always fresh and flavorful. Because it's in such a prime location, the café does get busy, especially with tourists passing through. However, even during peak hours, the service remains friendly and efficient. Overall, Espresso Cielo is a go-to spot for great coffee, tasty treats, and a welcoming atmosphere. If you're in Santa Monica and need a reliable café to fuel your day, this is it!

The breakfast burrito and coffee is legit straight from flavor town! Chill vibe here and easy to find. Parking structure is next to this place Not only is the coffee and food delicious here the barista quickly delivered our coffee. Great service experience here. I got the lavender latte and super food latte with oat milk, both were delicious. Not burnt and not too hot. Yes, this place is dog friendly here. They also serve drip coffee here. I gave this place 5-stars because the coffee is delicious here and not burnt. During the weekday I can see this place getting crowded so get here before the morning rush. Yes, we'll come back here!

This is a cute coffee shop that was packed on a Saturday morning. The staff were friendly and everything came out quick. I ordered an iced vanilla latte and it was too sweet for my taste. I think next time I'll ask for half the sweetness.

A great spot to grab a coffee and pastry in the morning and take a work Zoom call - it's not too loud inside and they have WiFi. There's indoor and outdoor seating. I enjoyed my cardamom latte and croissant. The parking lot nearby has 90 minutes of free parking.

When I came in, I ordered a $30 breakfast for one and just needed to write. My Mac wouldn't connect to the WiFi, everyone around me said they were tethering their phones. Are you allowed to connect your Mac to the WiFi and actually use it?

Yep 👍🏼

We were lucky enough to find a metered street spot directly in front of the restaurant and did not have to wait long at all for our Saturday morning brunch for a table of two. Our server was also very polite and everything that we ordered came out very fast. I started off with the Iced Maple Latte and thought it was really nice. It was a really sweet treat and I enjoyed it. For my breakfast, I chose the Eggs Benedict with the Sujuk sausage and added avocado and croissant. It was one of the best combos I've had in a long time and I am already eager to go back again to get it. I would highly recommend to everyone and would happily say this is one of my favorite breakfast options around.

We agreed to outside patio seating at tall seats which is more than fine. but we were sat at a shared table with a family which is fine when you have context that you are doing so, but i spent the beginning of the morning listening to two different children play of their phones blasting the sound. additionally both the seats we were in were directly in the sun which for me is fine but my bf burns very easily. but okay fine, it is what it is. We politely waited until the table next to us emptied, and then told the waitress we would like to move because the sun. She said we would need to wait and she would need to check. And then came back and told us they were too busy. We watched the seat we wanted to sit in be empty until we asked for boxes for our food. We watched another table stay empty until we left. The waitress never introduced herself either. Additionally, no one checked up on us during the entire meal. Usually any sit down restaurant would ask how your meal is. No one did. we weren't even given silverware when our meals arrived. we had to go get them ourselves. We had to ask for boxes after sitting and waiting for anyone to check in. We separately had to call out to the oblivious waitress to even pay, as she was standing out there just looking around. The food was great, like i wish we would have had cash to tip the cooks themselves bc the food was really good. But Ive attached photos of the food (great!) and photos of the many empty tables that made them sooo busy they cldnt accommodate the paying costumers that already ordered. my boyfriend and I have both worked in the service industry before. But i would just say that they had horrible service which can ruin a perfectly good meal. I hope if the owner is the one I met at the door, he considers getting new waitresses .

The ambiance is bright, buzzing, and packed with folks clearly in the know. We grabbed a spot after waiting for roughly 15-20 minutes outside (no complaints for a 9:30am on a Saturday). Pro tip: jump on OpenTable and book ahead! The real reason you come here.. the food absolutely delivered! Fresh, vibrant, and delicious across the board. The cappuccino was also genuinely excellent. Service was quick and efficient throughout the restaurant. My wife did need to send back a poached egg that was slightly overdone. Our server handled it without missing a beat though, replacing it promptly with a smile. This is the kind of breakfast spot that makes a Saturday morning feel special. 100% coming back!

A little on the watery side. Chicken bites came out in about 15 minutes. The coating had a very satisfying crunch, very saucy, but fell off the chicken easily and was a bit salty. This is a messy dish for sure. You will get your hands dirty! Chorizo Benedict came out about 30 minutes after order. Not great honestly. Portion size was generous. The eggs were poached decently, still runny, but the chorizo itself was bland and rather dry. The potatoes were room temperature. The bread a bit too chewy. Not AT ALL spicy. Super light on the pico de gallo. The service was rather slow for not being very busy. They didn't appear to be understaffed either. The location itself is cozy and not too loud, which is nice! Short walk from down town. The staff was kind, but boy were they slow. From being seated to paying for my meal was well over an hour! Automatic 2.5% "service fee" total was $46.50 before tip. I don't think I'll be returning unfortunately. The search for a good Benedict in LA area continues!
