Robano is the kind of neighborhood café I wish I had within walking distance. I stopped in while I was in the Ocean Park area and immediately understood why locals seem to treat it like a regular spot. I ordered the salmon plate and an iced matcha latte, and both were fresh, satisfying, and exactly what I was in the mood for. The service was genuinely friendly and welcoming, adding to the relaxed neighborhood feel. The patio is the real draw. It's a great place to post up with a laptop for a few hours, whether you're answering emails or pretending to be productive while people-watching on Main Street. If I lived in the neighborhood, I could easily see myself coming here all the time. Between the good food, friendly staff, and comfortable outdoor seating, it's the kind of place that quietly becomes part of your weekly routine. read more

Obsessed with this place! Not only is their menu extensive but they also use the best ingredients so you. Leave feeling energized and full in the best way possible (and depending on what you order leftovers for the next meal or two!). I've tried the super bowls which are amazing - both the pork belly and the lechon are full of flavor and I like that you can do half/half on your mix base as well. The garlic noodles, so good. On the lechon the black beans are delicious! For drinks, the mixed matchas are amazing and such a good deal! The strawberry and the off menu mango are both great and at $6, a steal! I can't wait to come back and try more items. Service is always friendly and the decor is bright, inviting and homey with tables inside and outside. read more

Tried this place for the first time and it was fantastic! I already want to go back and try more dishes. Very nice location with a short walk to the beach. The inside was very clean, cute, and spacious. There is also an outside patio. No shortage of sitting options. We ended up ordering the super bowls- VIP Poke and Kebobs Mediterraneo. Both with white rice and greens. I honestly loved both of them equally. The quality of fish in the poke was outstanding and the chicken kebob was so tender and juicy. We also got the Pineapple Zingy Fizzy drink which was very refreshing on the warm day. The staff was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. The only thing I want to add is that on the menu board had a key for items, one being a * indicates the item contain nuts. Some of the bowls listed cashew chipotle sauce, but there was no * next to the item name. It's a quick fix to avoid any accidents :) read more

I had the most fantastic experience here. I encountered it for the first time this week and immediately had to take the opportunity to return within a few days to share with a friend. Only a few minutes from the beach! The super bowls are incredible. We got the kabobs mediterranos and vip poke, and they absolutely surpassed hopes and expectations. The Zingy was incredibly delicious and quenching. Honestly, for how full we were the price seemed fair. The ambiance was strong; wonderful use of space and a visually pleasing aesthetic. Comfortable seats and a large sunny outdoor patio. Service was professional, prompt, and very knowledgeable. I cannot wait to come back and try more diverse items off the menu! read more

The food here is healthy and delicious! I also really enjoy their drinks and appreciate the study cups that are ideal for taking to the beach. They have a variety of proteins on their menu and we enjoyed all of them. My salmon was absolutely delicious and their Asian bowl was light and healthy full of flavor. Service was wonderful, they have plenty of seating and are within walking distance to the beach and great shopping opportunities. Prices and portions are fair, very clean and well run restaurant, highly recommend recommended for a healthy meal near the beach! read more

If I lived in LA County, Rabano would absolutely be my go to lunch spot. I ordered the VIP Poke Bowl with sushi grade Ahi tuna, cucumber, scallions, wakame salad, roasted sesame, furikake, rabanitos, cream wasabi, and a side of avocado over white rice. The bowl was vibrant, flavorful, and filling. Every ingredient tasted high quality and thoughtfully combined, creating a rich, perfect bite in every forkful. The presentation was beautiful and colorful, making it just as enjoyable to look at as it was to eat. The space itself is bright, spotless, and welcoming, with a relaxed atmosphere that makes it a great stop for lunch. Service was friendly and efficient, and everything felt carefully prepared. Hands down one of the most delicious, well crafted poke bowls I've ever had! Yum! read more

Very good, fresh, and variety of food choices. Excellent service, friendly and quick. Fast casual setting, has tv's in the dining room. Lots of high top tables, so should consider this if you have small kids like me, or have any mobility issues. To be clear, they also have some standard seating (indoor/outdoor), but noticeably more high table tops. The burger was great. Have had several bowls, street tacos and fish options here. All are dynamite. Also tried the Thai tea, surprisingly good for a non-Asian food restaurant. Everything I've had is healthy and fresh. They also have rotating daily soups. Very good and unique. Go...now! read more

I love this place. A full menu with something for everyone. . They have grass fed beef burger in addition to the many bowls, burros, and salads. I had the green earth burger--the vegan option. Great ingredients, locally sourced organic greens. I love the indoor and outdoor seating, depends on how you feel. I really appreciate their attention to organic ingredients since there are far too many places still poisoning patrons with pesticides! Let's pay attention and ask for what we want. read more

I've enjoyedtheir food in Hermosa and I'm so happy that they have a location in Santa Monica! Wonderful service and super clean layout. I invited people who had never been and we enjoyed everything we ordered. For a lighter lunch we had Chinese chicken salad, the Koreano bowl with ancient grains, the Cubano bowl with ancient grains, and the carne asada with ancient grains. My favorite was the Cubano with fabulous shredded and seared pork, vinegar onions and delicious black beans. All the beef dishes used good quality meat and it was tender with a generous portion for the price. The chicken salad had beautiful watermelon radish slices and mamadaron orange segments. It came with a very light dressing and the chicken was moist. I will have to come back one day to try their coffee and dessert! Beautiful patio right on main street with heaters for chilly beach weather. read more

I came to pick up the food as part of the Yelp elite program. Super impressed by the friendliness of the staff and how fast the service was. The food probably took less than 10 mins to get ready and I was greeted with warmth and smile. I ordered the Koreano bowl (Boneless rib steak, baby bok choy, cucumber, carrot, gochujang, house kimchi, sweet umami glaze). The flavor was intense in a good way, texture was tender and the portion was generous. You can choose a base (grain, salad, noodle) and can do half and half. For the drink, I picked Cucumber Coolness (cucumber, lemonade, mint) and it is refreshing. Definitely interested to try other drinks in future. read more

Located on Main St in Santa Monica, the patio is a nice size and prime for people watching. The service was ok. It could've been a little better but it wasn't horrible. The cashier was just very to the point. You could tell that the food was made with quality ingredients. Presentation was great. The chocolate mousse was inside a delicate chocolate shell and there was a thin chocolate cake base. read more

All I can say is wow. We're in the area often, and today we were looking for a new, cool spot to try when my wife came across Rábanos. I'm really glad she did. My wife was craving Thai food, so she ordered the Thai dish, while I was stuck between the Peruvian Saltado and the Showtime Burger. I ended up going with the burger, and I'm glad I did. It was absolutely amazing -- flavorful, high quality, and perfectly put together. From the first bite, you could taste all the layers of flavor in what honestly felt like a masterpiece of a burger. Both dishes were very good, but the burger was definitely the winner for us. We also tried the Garage beer, which was super light and delightful, along with a latte. The latte was okay. We're big coffee people, so it didn't quite meet our expectations. It was served too hot, and the milk seemed overheated. The coffee itself tasted good, but it didn't feel carefully crafted. I enjoy latte art and that first sip from a freshly made uncapped latte, and that part was missing for me. That said, the food was so good that we're more than willing to overlook the coffee. Great vibes, superb service, and an overall fantastic experience. Highly, highly recommend this place. We'll definitely be back with friends and family. read more

Clean and open concept ambiance with nice decor. Service was kind and fast. I got the pork belly bowl with garlic noodles and milk tea. Pork belly was flavorful and tender. Garlic noodles I wasnt expecting it to be flat rice noodles. I wish it was egg noodles with more garlic. I'd opt for rice or grains next time. Pickled veggies nicely done. Milk tea I wasnt a fan of. But this isn't a boba tea shop so I can't expect much. Maybe the refreshers would be a better option! I think it's a bit pricey imo but if you want something healthy in the area this is a good option. read more

Service here is great. 2nd time coming here. First time I was really disappointed and couldn't understand why any one would serve a messy burrito cut in half. Slop city. Thought I'd give this place another shot and...it's just perfectly fine. Tried one of their bowls and the portion is huge, meat well seasoned but the bowls are mostly big scoops of white rice, black beans and corn. Kind of bland and really stodgy, could barely make a dent in it. Nice to sit at, clean and calm inside, you could do so much worse, but then again nothing really stands out. read more

Wowza! Insanely delicious bowls! El Koreano was fresh, perfectly prepared and great portion. Excellent tofu and garlic noodles. Very savory! I had never heard of Rabano, but the food and menu looked spectacular, and I was ecstatic to try something different in Santa Monica! I didn't have any trouble with parking, though it was on a weekday afternoon, so maybe it would be different on another day. When I arrived, the menu was so big you couldn't miss it, and I did have a hard time choosing from the bowl selections. But thankfully, the employees were so kind and helped me figure out which bowl I was feeling, and I went with the beef barbacoa bowl and honey lemonade. I especially loved the carb/grain options and always jumped at the opportunity to do both noodles and rice in my plate. The honey lemonade was pretty good, but the waiter was so accommodating and informed me to let him know if I wanted it a bit sweeter, which I wanted, and after that, it was perfect. Immediately when I saw my plate, I just knew it would be good, and it truly was, as everything on the plate was perfect and went together so well in my taste buds. I was so impressed with every aspect of this restaurant, and I look forward to getting the bowl and other selections on the menu again! read more

Since we discovered this place, we've been back several times. The first time, we ordered it for delivery and I got the lomo saltado. It was so good, I never want to try anything else. June 13, 2025 | Santa Monica | During Memorial Day weekend, I was back in town to attend a food & drink event! Rabano was listed as a participant! The moment my friend and I tasted our generous samples, she and I knew we would return sooner than later & with the quickness! Haha! The memorable flavors stayed on my mind for sure! Thai Tofu Bowl: Thai Yellow Curry, Veggies & Rice done right with a deep flavorful mix of spices & spicy enough to catch your attention! Yes, please! This dish is a winner! Plus, the veggies are locally-sourced! Score! My friend had the same dish, but with chicken! Drink: The deep orange flavorful Thai Tea was refreshing on an incredibly sunny day, served in super tall container! Customer Service: Everyone we interacted with was incredibly friendly, even other customers sitting at a table next to us! Seating: Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating! We enjoyed sitting on the patio during the event & on our second visit! Overall: Loved the incredible friendly service & atmosphere! First time here today. Staff was nice, looks clean. Nice neighborhood with metered parking all around. The two items I purchased for the mahi-mahi tacos and the salmon salad. The mahi-mahi tacos were good I wasn't a big fan of the way. The salmon tasted so I probably will not get that again. And I wasn't a fan of having my salad dressing watered down. I was hoping for more flavor with the dressing and the salad but the dressing was clearly watered down - bummer. I was visiting Santa Monica to celebrate my birthday and saw the awesome yelp reviews so wanted to try out Rabano. Love the layout of this place that gives a modern, warehouse / farmhouse vibe with an open layout good for hosting parties. The food options were plenty. I got the ahi on top of the garlic noodles and my husband got the salmon with veggies and rice. Both were so tasty and good portion size for the price. The service was excellent as my server Aiden was super kind and helpful by answering all my questions and Ryan was so kind to give me a complimentary birthday dessert of my choice ; I picked the Oreo cheesecake which was amazing!!! It's not something they usually do but maybe bc we were visiting for my birthday. Either way I appreciate the kind staff, food, and atmosphere. We sat on the patio as it was a gorgeous day out and really enjoyed our meal there! Highly recommended read more

I've been to Rabano a dozen times. Though I love their food, my takeout order experience has been frustrating. I would have servers walk away from me the moment I arrived. Often, I would be stuck in line while patrons debated what to order. And finally, I would see food delivery drivers aggressively cut in front of me, demanding their takeout orders while I was patiently waiting. There was one occasion when I waited so long that, in frustration, I reached over the glass barrier and took my order instead of waiting for someone to acknowledge my presence. I will be taking a break until they can sort this out. read more

This was my 2nd time eating here with a large group of friends. I have to say I was slightly disappointed with the service I received. I tried one of their new dishes- a breakfast burrito which is served all day. My friends got the Lechon Cubano. I order right after them & we were under the same table number. A friend who came much later ordered a Mediterranean dish. Out of our whole group of about 12, I was the last to receive my food. I had to rush to eat my food because of my parking. So I will say this was not my most enjoyable experience. Maybe they were just having an off day. The food was good. Could have been hotter in temperature. read more
