Build my own bowl with Blue Alchemy, granola, chia seeds, fruit, and bee pollen
Hanna T.

3.5/5: I got the Blue Alchemy, with granola, chia seeds, fruit, and bee pollen. The base has an amazing, thick consistency; a big plus that it didn't melt fast. I think Blue Alchemy is supposed to be their version of blue spirulina; there wasn't a prominent taste... very subtle coconut. The granola wasn't using typical oats, it was almost puffed, which was good but more similar to cereal. Fruits were sweet. It was around $15 and the bowl was pretty big, but not filling. 5/5: Def get the acai flavor, huge regret not going for the classic. It's probably the best acai flavor I've ever had. I always prefer blue spirulina, but I will get the classic acai bowl next time. Service is great. The ladies were fast and it took less than 10 mins to get my bowl. There was a lot of space when I went around Monday noon.

Green Hornet Smoothie
Beatrice V.

Stopped by for a smoothie. I originally got the tropicali but I thought it tasted pretty plain. I mentioned I didn't like it and they kindly made me a different smoothie. I went with the green hornet. I enjoyed this one a lot better - it's healthy but has a good flavor and is perfectly sweet. It's topped with bee pollen which is a nice touch. They have lots of seating inside too and free WiFi. Metered parking outside.

Probiotic shot

There was plenty of seating when we walked in and we got to order our drinks right away and it's really clean inside and I would say reasonably priced for a Santa Monica and a huge selection of drinks and eats. The drinks here are packed with protein, which is amazing for a quick pick me up after a work out in the area. You can find parking on the street outside. I love the wooden and colorful vibes here. And the staff is really kind.

Sweet calm vibe

Absolutely love this place. Great service. Solid good tasting food VG and V and GF abundant! Nice vibes and wifi, tables and shade outside, or I also like to sit inside at the windows and people watch.

High Protein Acai

Another great experience at The Hive! Delicious, healthy options made with the freshest ingredients. LOVE the High Protein Acai bowl here!

Green Hornet Smoothie

This is mainly a juice bar with breakfast entrees and coffee. I'd say the green hornet is the best smoothie out of all of the selections! Highly recommended. Açaí bowls are also available but we didn't order any. Parking is a pain however there is metered parking on the street. The service was fast and the staff was friendly. People bring their study materials here and sit to work and study inside. I came here and there was no line at all.

Açaí bowl and OG Breakfast Burrito

Breakfast burrito is solid but nothing exciting compared to what else is in LA. However honey coffee is great and açaí bowl was solid as well. I like that this place feels healthy and they care about what ingredients go into your food.

Avocado Toast

Let's take about The Hive! 5/5 across the board can't recommend this restaurant enough! Stumbled upon The Hive in the mood for a smoothie after a workout. It was a 3 min walk from the hotel and when I walked in, instant vibe! The signs on the wall were beautiful, and I was greeted right away. It is a healthier smoothie shop with a variety of smoothies PLUS the best avocado toast! I opted in for the avocado toast which was avocado, tomatoes, radishes and pickled radish plus a poached egg. The smoothie was strawberry banana with a "bee mixture" . Everything was delicious. I wanted to come back the next day to try the smoked salmon toast but we didn't have time! If you're ever in the Santa Monica area don't miss out on The Hive.

Build your own bowl Spinach, sweet potatoes, beets, broccolini, chickpeas, sesame lemon dressing and lemon herb farro.

My first time at The Hive convinced me: I'll be back! Build your own Bowl: $12.95, under 300 calories and very fillling: Spinach, sweet potatoes, beets, broccolini, chickpeas, sesame lemon dressing and lemon herb farro.

Donnie's Breakfast Burrito
Sofia V.

After reading the menu I was really excited to try this place! I ordered Donnie's breakfast burrito, the total came to $22 because I added avocado which was a $2.50 additional charge. The burrito was very small for the price and quite soggy. Not to mention there was barely a speck of avocado, I almost thought they forgot to add it yet I was still charged for it. Had I not already taken it to go, I would've disputed the extra charge. Very disappointed with my experience. I believe in paying extra for restaurants that prioritize healthy and higher quality ingredients but I honestly feel scammed.

Su S.

Standard acai place to satisfy your acai cravings. Toppings are fresh and flavorful. I wish they would allow more toppings for their standard price. Service was kind and quick. Plenty of indoor seating and some limited outdoor seating.

The Rose Latte was made just for my liking. It was personalized. I ordered the egg sando (recommended by foodie Selina) The sandwich had a very light and fluffy ciabatta bread. Very delish and unique

Is your acai sugar free?

Hi Angel, the acai base we use is 100% pure acai so there is no sugar, however when bananas or other fruit toppings are added it adds the fruit or sweetener sugar.

Do they serve Kava?

Hi Jack! Thanks for asking! Yes we do offer Kava as an add on to any drinks or bowls. Come zen out ;)

The only reason for this comment is the sandwich was graced with a pickled carrot. A pickled carrot! Consider tossing some fried capers into the tuna salad. The inside was very clean, cute, and spacious. There is also an outside patio. No shortage of sitting options. We ended up ordering the super bowls- VIP Poke and Kebobs Mediterraneo. We also got the Pineapple Zingy Fizzy drink which was very refreshing on the warm day. The staff was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. The only thing I want to add is that on the menu board had a key for items, one being a * indicates the item contain nuts. Some of the bowls listed cashew chipotle sauce, but there was no * next to the item name. It's a quick fix to avoid any accidents :)

My wife was craving Thai food, so she ordered the Thai dish, while I was stuck between the Peruvian Saltado and the Showtime Burger. I ended up going with the burger, and I'm glad I did. It was absolutely amazing -- flavorful, high quality, and perfectly put together. From the first bite, you could taste all the layers of flavor in what honestly felt like a masterpiece of a burger. Both dishes were very good, but the burger was definitely the winner for us. We also tried the Garage beer, which was super light and delightful, along with a latte. The latte was okay. We're big coffee people, so it didn't quite meet our expectations. It was served too hot, and the milk seemed overheated. The coffee itself tasted good, but it didn't feel carefully crafted. I enjoy latte art and that first sip from a freshly made uncapped latte, and that part was missing for me. That said, the food was so good that we're more than willing to overlook the coffee. Great vibes, superb service, and an overall fantastic experience. Highly, highly recommend this place. We'll definitely be back with friends and family.
