Neighborhood spot on Main Street in Santa Monica. Ordered the Chicken Poblano Plate and the Peruvian AJi Chicken in a wrap. Both were very fresh and all around a good meal. There is street parking available and both indoor and outdoor seating with a few umbrellas. The staff was very helpful since it was our first time visiting, and his recommendation was on spot!

When Alexa suggested a quick lunch on a recent Monday and gave me a few suggestions, I took one look at the Alfalfa listing on Yelp and was sold by the the menu, photos, reviews and more... and my experience there did not disappoint! We shared two salads: the Sinatra and the Greek with chicken and also had a couple of tortillas on the side. (We both enjoy making little wraps this way and I highly recommend it!) Both salads were delicious... we especially loved the spicy honey mustard dressing that came with the Sinatra salad. Service at the counter was super friendly and helpful. So many other menu items sounded amazing and I would be here all of the time if I lived in the area. Can't wait to go back!

I've heard great things about this place. Came here for the first time today and I already know I'll be back whenever my dad visits. My dad has a notorious sweet tooth and he was BLOWN AWAY by their brownie topped with whipped peanut butter. This was a stop along our Mystery Picnic and I'm so grateful they introduced us to this place. My dad likes the brownie so much that I'm literally writing this review from the car as he runs inside to purchase a second one.

Past the Urth on Main Street is Alfafa. It's a breakfast, lunch, coffee, pastry place that has a little of something and everything. I tried the Peruvian chicken salad. The chicken was well marinated and the salad was filling. The cilantro avocado dressing was very tasty. The coffee was satisfying. I didn't order the brownie, but I really wanted to! There is a neat outdoor patio in the back. Casual. Street parking. Please come and create your own adventure.

Salad without the additional items which would make it not a Greek salad at all, but put the price at $14.46

BATE AND SWITCH PRICING. Was going to order from here until we noticed that the description lists ingredients that you are then CHARGED for because those things (ie Kalamata olives and feta cheese in the Greek salad) are NOT actually INCLUDED. How do you have a GREEK SALAD without those 2 key ingredients??? I just called to confirm. Bummer bc the salads sound good. But I can't support that kind of BS. Just include the standard ingredients listed and set the darn price. Christ! We are all very over this à la cart scam job! Nope.

Nice sunset view of the front before the next storm.

Had the chicken lime rice plate, it was very tasty and fresh. Healthy and delicious. I will definitely come back! Friendly staff too.

This place has been on my list for a while because I love healthy and I love salads so this place seemed right up my alley. Really cute from the outside, some seating outside and they have a back patio as well. Pretty simple inside, you order with them and they bring out your food. It's not Chipotle style where you see them scoop the ingredients in front of you. We built our own bowl and added peruvian chicken thigh (extra cost) and avocado (extra). They have really tasty dressings... we got lime cilantro but the lemon herb is also delicious. Also for all those that are dairy-free, they have a dairy-free caesar dressing which very really excited me to see as caesar salads are one of the things I miss sometimes since cutting out dairy. The salad was ready and came out really fast. I thought it was really good! Everything tasted fresh. Not sure it had a ton of protein included, I had to keep digging in order to find pieces, but overall I was happy with it and would definitely come back if I was craving a healthy salad in the area. Super friendly staff here too!

2nd time here & actually obsessed. First time I came in for the breakfast burrito which SLAPPED. Your girl loves a breakfast burrito w lots of salsas. Tonight, Maura and I shared the Laguna and the Buffalo Goddess wraps & the freshness was perfection. Emmie helped with the heater outside on a windy day & made sure we had all the dipping sauces. Will be back for bone broth since it was sold out .. and of course more wraps

I really enjoyed the Ancho Potato burrito, especially paired with the homemade salsas, the avocado tomatillo salsa was particularly delicious. It's a great option for vegetarians and it's quite filling.

Delicious, healthy food, but a bit too overpriced to make it a "regular" spot, especially with the smaller salad portion. But the plates and dressings are pretty unique! If you're in downtown SM and looking for something healthy, it's good to stop by.

My wife and I went to alfalfa for breakfast. They have some of the best breakfast burritos in the area! The service is top notch the gentleman helping us was super nice! The coffee is also great! They have a patio in the back where you can enjoy the food. Highly Recommend: Chorizo Breakfast Burrito Bacon Breakfast Burrito Highly recommend Alfalfa if you are craving a burrito. Def have to come back and try some of their other items.

    Homemade Chorizo Burrito

1st time trying the chorizo burrito & was not expecting for my cholesterol levels to rise...very greasy- ensure you have many napkins on hand. Giving it 3 stars bc the taste is good & therefore is promising if they were to reduce the amount of oil they cook it with.

It is nice, classy, calm, and inviting. Service seemed to be a bit off put by me sitting down without a room, but we'll let that slide cause the food was amazing. You know when you order a breakfast burrito and you get to the end and it is 99.9% tortilla? This one wasn't that! Full of flavor with creamy avocado, crispy bacon and fluffy eggs. The salad is simple but pairs well with it, so does the Pizza Port Mango DIPA. Idk if it is enhanced Franks hot sauce, but it had a bite (mind you I cook with Thai chilis and habanero on the regular). If you are staying at the Viceroy or just in the area, for breakfast, I recommend stopping by. Aaaap... standard 20% gratuity. Good service so I was going to give it to them anyway (my actual server didn't give me any sideways look and was very friendly)... but if that erps you just FYSA

The steak was chewy and lacked flavor, and the salad was just average with nothing memorable about it. The service was also slow and not particularly hospitable. Since they automatically add a 20% gratuity, I expected the staff to check on our table more often and provide a higher level of service. Instead, it felt like we were forgotten for much of the meal. Overall, the experience didn't justify the price or the automatic gratuity. I hope they improve both the quality of the food and the attentiveness of the service.

Parking in Santa Monica is rarely easy, so I considered it a small victory when I actually found free street parking in the neighborhood during my most recent visit. My go-to order is usually the D'Lox Toast or the D'Lox Sandwich, but this time I opted for the D'Lox on a bagel. It was absolutely delicious as always, though seeing the $20.65 price tag for a bagel sandwich is always a bit of a shock each and every time. And, of course, I couldn't resist pairing it with a Wazuka Matcha. Another $8.50 later, I had one of my favorite matcha drinks in hand. All said and done, breakfast for one came to $32.28, which is pretty steep especially for a place where you order at the counter and find your own table. That said, the quality is consistently excellent. The ingredients are fresh, everything tastes great, and I always enjoy my meal and overall experience at Urth Caffe. If the prices were a bit more reasonable (and the crowds a little smaller), this would easily be a five star spot for me. Until then, it's still a place I'll happily return to whenever my friends want to go.

Where do I begin?…read more This was my last day in the beautiful land of California, and before heading out to catch my flight back to the South, I was craving Mediterranean food. I've been on a bit of a Mediterranean kick lately, thank you Cava for that. First impressions? The environment was beautiful. Seriously photo worthy. As a photographer, I couldn't help but admire the architecture inside and around the area. It had that visual vibe that made me excited to be there. There was no line when we walked in, so I quickly landed on my order: the Crimson Chicken Wrap (white meat) with a side of babaganoush, and the Chicken Shawarma (dark meat) with a side of fries. Everything sounded solid. But then... we waited. And waited. Over 30 minutes passed. In that time, about 3 to 4 other customers came in, placed their orders, got their food, and left. Meanwhile, we were still waiting on two of their more popular items. I tried to be patient, gave them the benefit of the doubt, until I saw someone who arrived 25 minutes after us get their Chicken Shawarma within 10 minutes of walking in. Given that we were on a time crunch with other places to be, the delay was beyond frustrating. We ended up speaking with the manager and shared our concerns, but by that point, the experience was already soured. Now for the food. I wanted to like it. The first bite had promise, but after that, it just felt like I was eating out of obligation. For the price point, the service delays, and the lackluster flavor, I honestly can't recommend the entrées I tried. The coffee? It seemed to be good, but not enough to bring me back just for that. I wish I could give Crimson a stronger review, especially because the space itself is stunning. But in the end, it was a case of style over substance. I'd give it a 2.5 out of 5, though I did walk away with some great photos, at least.
