So EGG-cited that there's finally a quality Vietnamese coffee shop in West LA! I've BEAN looking for a spot serving up Vietnamese coffee (which is arguably my favorite type considering how strong and flavorful it is), and I was so happy to see that Dol opened up in Santa Monica! This cafe serves up a wide variety of Vietnamese coffee-based drinks and Vietnamese-influenced fruit smoothies, as well as other options such as matcha. I obviously had to order their Vietnamese Egg Coffee (50% sweetness), which is super hard to find and execute in my opinion, and I was very impressed with both the quality of their coffee and egg foam, which were so authentic. Highly recommend checking out this spot for high quality, authentic Vietnamese coffee that you won't have to drive to OC/South LA for! I'll definitely be back to try more of their Vietnamese coffee, and to get some work done with their free parking lot, free WiFi, and plentiful indoor seating/outlets!

DOL Coffee brings a little taste of Vietnam to Santa Monica. Great coffee, creative Vietnamese inspired drinks, and unique flavors you won't find at your typical coffee shop. Bold & rich. The open, airy inside space is a nice bonus, plus there's free parking in the back lot.

DOL coffee shop is such a welcome addition to the neighborhood. The shop is clean and modern, the service is quick, and the drinks rock. I love how customizable they are. There are plenty of sweet liquid treats to choose from. And they're delicious. Don't skip the creamy matcha! I can't wait to come back and try more of the menu.

The watermelon mousse was super good. Made with real watermelon, so it didn't taste like that artificial stuff. It's essentially a blended watermelon slush with sweet cream throughout and I added the mango star jellies! Yum! Inside they have seating and people tend to bring their laptops and do work there. I also love there's a parking lot in the back, as well as metered parking in the area. I will come back to try more drinks!
From Redondo to Santa Monica! So excited Dol's finally expanding its presence to this side of town. The venue was super nice, well-lit huge space with plenty of seats and high-ceiling. Could see myself spending hours either just chilling and reading or even working. Dedicated parking space was certainly bonus points! As they specialized in Vietnamese coffee, so obviously that's the must-have. My husband got the hot egg coffee which he loved as the strong Vietnamese coffee was balanced with creaminess from the egg foam. You could also tailor the sweetness level to your liking for which we opted for 75%. I got the Salted Creamy Coffee, basically their strong Vietnamese coffee with salted cream top. Really loved it as well. Not overly acidic despite the coffee flavor stood really strong.
This new spot is so good. They make a crazy great Magonada. I always get it with boba. The service is always great. Combine it with good vibes and you have a winning recipe. Please try this place. You will be back again and again and again. Become a member and receive points towards a free drink.
I'm so happy that there's finally an Asian owned Matcha spot in the west side! I will definitely be coming here often and supporting! I got the Coco matcha which is coconut water with Matcha foam! Super delicious and refreshing! I also met the owner who is very sweet! Definitely were checking out. It seems like a very popular spot to work! There is a lot of seats and the space itself is very spacious!
I've found a new favorite viet coffee spot! Plenty of room to work in as well. The service was very friendly and fast. They also have self ordering screens. Plenty of parking in the back. I got the viet coffee with 25% sweetness and it was bomb!!! Highly recommend it! They also serve boba so I can't wait to come back and try that next!!!

Nice strong viet coffee, and the egg foam on top adds the perfect amount of custardy deliciousness that I crave. Go before they blow up and get huge lines!

I like my coffee strong so anytime I hear about a good Vietnamese coffee shop, I am excited to try it out. Dol is up the street from my sisters so we decided to walk there on a Sunday early afternoon. It was wasn't crowded - just a few people sitting and doing work/studying. We ordered and paid on a screen. Our orders came out super quick. I was honestly a bit shocked. I had the salted caramel coffee (75% sweet) and my sis had the matcha latte (25% sweet). We both loved our drinks. The place is nice and spacious too. Super clean. read more

I'm very disappointed with the service. I specifically asked the barista to explain the coffee options and wanted to know how many shots of espresso are in each drink. Unfortunately, I couldn't get a clear answer. Instead of telling me the number of espresso shots, he kept saying things like "one coffee" or "two coffees." It made me feel like either he didn't understand my question or he wasn't familiar with how the drinks were made. I also had a hard time understanding him because of the language barrier. I was especially disappointed with my order. I asked for a large latte with two shots of espresso, but I ended up receiving an iced latte with very little milk and a cup that was about 50% filled with ice. That was not what I ordered at all. I didn't ask them to remake the drink because, after the initial conversation with the barista, it was clear that there was already a communication problem. Unfortunately, the overall experience was very disappointing. I won't be coming back here. read more

Dol Coffee has my favorite Vietnamese coffee on the west side. Everything is so flavorful and perfectly balanced without ever being too sweet. I also love the ice they use. It somehow makes the drinks even better and keeps everything tasting super fresh. The employees are always so nice and welcoming, and the service is incredibly fast even when they're busy. The parking is also really easy and convenient, which makes stopping by so much better. Definitely one of my new favorite coffee spots. read more
New Coffee Spot in Santa Monica?? Sign me up, personally it was a little too late in the day to try a strong vietnamese coffee, so I opted for the ice blended banana coffee instead, absolutely delicious! Definitely a summer drink!! The staff was so friendly with answering questions and bringing the coffee to my table, the music isn't super loud which is nice, and around the evening hours there aren't many people so it's not too loud, making it a great environment to work or relax. DOL Coffee House is now added to my favorite coffee places for sure, I'll be back to try different drinks! read more

Welcome to the neighborhood DOL Coffee House! I love Vietnamese coffee and for their soft opening I tried the Vietnamese egg coffee with oat milk and if was delicious! The space is large, welcoming, and cozy. The staff were wonderful and so kind. 5 stars for the drink, ambiance, and service. I am looking forward to frequently visiting! read more

Great place to hang out and grab a cold coffee or smoothie. Very clean and spacious cafe area. The Vietnamese black ice coffee with a cream top was the perfect pick me up after a day at the beach. They have self service kiosks but before I could order the staff was very attentive and took my order. Great spot. read more

They took over the old Kristy Kream location. There's a parking lot in the back. I got the salted creamy coffee. It is very strong just like a proper Vietnamese coffee should be. I'm very happy to have a new place to get coffee and boba ! They have a vast menu. I need to come back to try more items I saw other customers drinking . read more

I order boba at least once a week on average from various shops and I've never before seen such an empty drink served! Yes, this was "no ice", and yes, the menu does let you know it "may not be all the way full" but this felt like a rip off for a $7 drink. As I said, I order boba all the time - they may often leave an inch or so from the top but this felt egregious! I had suggested ordering here with a friend and felt embarrassed for this so ended up treating as a result. Welcome to the neighborhood, DOL! Honest to God, it's a pleasant surprise to see a Vietnamese coffee shop open in Santa Monica. For anyone interested, the drinks are all made in a a standard Vietnamese preparation. No steamed milk or espresso here, but plenty of phin filter coffee mixed with plenty of fun flavors. I got a banana coffee and it reminded me a lot of the type of drinks I'd find in Garden Grove. Deep, bitter black coffee mixed with the sweetness and creaminess of banana. Strong flavors only here! For people new to this type of place, think of it as something between a standard American coffee shoo and a boba tea cafe. A great place to take a family or a quick date. I was so excited to see Dol open on the westside! We don't have any great Vietnamese coffee shops or many coffee shops that offer AUTHENTIC viet coffee. This location is so beautiful, bright, big, and I appreciate the viet music playing softly in the background. Workers are so sweet and will walk you through the menu or flavors if needed. Loveee this place, the staff is incredibly sweet and friendly and every drink I've tried is delicious! I personally love the matcha creamy coffee, the matcha cold foam adds the perfect sweetness and earthiness to balance the strong coffee. Recently tried the Thai cloudy and it was delicious, will definitely try with boba in the future! read more
