An awesome, delicious, cozy Boba spot in Santa Monica. It's located in a small shopping center so there is a little bit of free parking attached. Otherwise it'll be street parking. Inside is really homely, and I especially appreciate the cat merch, all of the plants which are available to purchase, and they even have board games and coloring books that you can use while you're in there. The guy behind the counter was also very polite and everything that we ordered was ready very fast. They have a lot of great menu options and everything that we ordered was very good. I opted for the Brown Sugar Boba and loved it. The Boba was very fresh, chewy, but not overly so, and it had really great flavors. I love that this place does not use the cheaper syrup that some other places use. Overall, I would comfortably recommend this place to anyone searching for some good Boba. read more

I've been searching for a great boba tea place that serves good brewed teas without added sweetener ever since my old favorite closed. Dr T is now my closest favorite! Delightful brewed tea with real fruit juice and soft boba! I got the grapefruit and a mango, both were delicious. Also felt a bit hungry so got the tender and crispy fried chicken, a huge portion with nice seasoning! The place is also a great showcase for various artists selling their stickers, notebooks, t shirts and wall art. They even have small plants for sale, each with a description of the plant needs and symbolic references. Service was personable and efficient, and they have a small parking lot, so a great place to come ship, eat, and drink tea! read more

Spilling the TEA on this hidden gem boba shop in Santa Monica! Located conveniently next to Santa Monica College, @drteahouse offers an extensive menu of teas, coffees, smoothies and desserts. As someone of Taiwanese descent, I appreciate how they use premium organic tea leaves from Taiwan to brew their tea drinks, freshly boiled tapioca pearls, and offer one of the more authentic Taiwanese popcorn chicken snacks I've had in West LA. The manager was also very personable and friendly, greeting regular customers by name, customizing and remembering orders, and taking care to craft every drink and dessert/popcorn chicken order. I really liked everything I ordered, and I would definitely be back again to try their milk tea and smoothie drinks. The ambiance is super cute inside and outside. This cafe is located across Santa Monica College. There is a small parking lot. There are tables inside and outside. I got the regular ice latte with condensed milk and it was too sweet for me. The coffee flavor was good. Sean, the manager was super friendly and helpful. i stumbled upon this place and was craving popcorn chicken and i'm so happy that i decided to go in. this little spot is super homey - the first thing that caught my eye when i walked in was all the cat stickers and merch from smaller artists! they had candles, tote bags, figurines, etc. i love supporting smaller artists and their art so i'm so glad they had a place for that here. i bought a cat sticker and the cashier let me have some smaller free ones! i ordered the popcorn chicken, the pieces are definitely big and worth your money. the cashier told us that there were leftover fries from another order, so he gave us to them for free :,) the customer service here was so amazing, and that cashier was extremely friendly and kind to everyone who walked in while being super helpful. my friend and i spent 3-ish hours there just talking, and there were even coloring supplies (paper, color pencils, markers) and puzzles for us to do! such a great spot to hang out and study too. there are a few tables inside and outside, and the parking lot is pretty small so there's a chance you'll have to find street parking. i'd definitely recommend this spot! read more

The jasmine green milk tea tasted like it had oversteeped tea or not enough sugar for full sweetness. It wasn't too milky, but it did seem watered down, like just plain and bitter. I was sad that I couldn't really enjoy it until I added a simple syrup at home. I had considered requesting it to be adjusted, but I didn't want to seem like *that* person, especially when they were out of supplies and waiting to be restocked. When I was there in the early afternoon, they were already out of boba and avocado. I overheard that they were super busy that day, but it's still a bit of a bummer when a boba shop doesn't have boba readily available. Parking is very limited in the tiny lot, but at least it was free. Service was friendly, and interior had some cute decor and merch. You can sit inside or outside. Quite easy to miss this shop, but it'll be in the same plaza as Amai Coffee, in the corner of Pico Blvd and 17th St. read more

Wow why haven't I come here sooner! This place is so cute and the drinks are SOOOO delicious. They offer tasty food and sell a lot of really cool artist pieces. I ordered the jasmine milk tea and was able to alter it the way I wanted - size, sweetness level, add ons, ice level, etc. the really nice gentlemen even gave me an earl grey milk tea on the house!! Uhm yes please! And oh yeah, it was SOOO good as well. The space is clean, there's lots of parking, and there's enough indoor and outdoor seating. When I came, it wasn't crowded which I loved. Popcorn chicken is probably the best in the area (better than most popcorn chicken in Sawtelle). It's not cheap but I guess worth the price. Matcha Latte was okay, just like any average matcha latte. The menu photo of matcha latte is a bit misleading (it has all those amazing matcha drizzles and white milk etc but take a look at my drink). Environment is nice, with board games, a shelf of blind boxes, stickers, and some other cute little stuffs. The collection is not big so if you looking for that kind of stuff better head to Sawtelle or Little Tokyo. Staff is friendly, efficient, and on point. Seems like he's all by himself for this sometimes busy place. Next time might give the cheesecakes a try. read more

I can't have sugary drinks. I thought maybe this place would have options for unsweetened beverages. Someone went in to order as I couldn't find parking. They inquired if the Thai Smoothie could be made with no sugar. The woman said yes. I didn't taste my drink until later and when I did, it was full of of sugar. Even the cream was already sweetened with sugar. Clearly, this drink cannot be made without sugar as it is some kind of premix. We should have been advised of the drinks that could be truly sugar-free. Instead, they add 0% sugar on the label and give me a drink that has loads of sugar. So disappointed to pay $25 with a nice tip and get a drink I threw into the trash. Glad I didn't go here with my daughter who has serious allergies as the counter staff do not pay attention to specific issues. Thanks for killing the excitement with one sip. read more

This place reminds me so much of Sawtelle. It's genuinely such a hidden gem, and the staff always put a smile on my face. Vendy and Michael are the main baristas I've interacted with, and they always make amazing drinks. It's also much better pricing for a larger drink, then a teeny cup. They also offer rewards programs and have cute stickers on all their cups. It's always cozy and service is always incredibly prompt and flawless. The fit on the crop tees is perfect and still solid after a few cycles in the wash. This is one of those rare brands you genuinely love to support because they stay true to their mission. This cafe has a lot of seating so perfect to enjoy a snack after your workout. You have to pay for parking if you use the garage, but the front desk validates parking

If you like sweeter, milkier matchas this might be your thing, but I personally prefer a stronger matcha-forward drink. For around $8 a matcha, I expected a lot more. Unfortunately I don't think I'd come back.

I'm not a big coffee person, so I asked for just a single shot of espresso, and the staff was so sweet about customizing it for me--no issues at all! The latte was absolutely beautiful and tasted just as good as it looked. Of course, I couldn't leave without a Concha. You can't have cafecito without pan dulce, and the pairing was perfect. The employees here are consistently some of the nicest people, and I just love the whole ambiance of the cafe. It's such a gem in West LA!
