Will say the boba had a good soft chewy even if bigger than I expected. For $8, a bit steep for what you're getting and what you could be getting for another 8 min drive to Sawtelle. A small but tasty boba shop in a sleepier part of Santa Monica. They don't have as large of a menu as Boba Time nor do they have as many tea flavors as Sunright but overall they do have some good options and also some good optional drink additions. Inside is very small and there was only one attendant working when we arrived Sunday night for a sweet treat after dinner. They don't have a parking lot but street parking is easy to find in this part of town. The menu is not very large, but everything that we ordered was made pretty quickly, and the attendant was very polite, and I feel that she was also welcoming. For my first time I chose the Brown Sugar Crème Brûlée Black Tea with boba and added egg pudding, which is one of my favorite flavor combinations. The flavors were very good, not the best I've had in town, but still really hit the spot. They only have two drink sizes available, but I wish they would offer a slightly larger size than the one that they currently offer. Overall I would recommend and I plan to try again next time I am close by. read more

Order thru the kiosk. There is no option for adjustments to ice or sweetness level in the system, but if you tell the staff after you place your order, they will gladly adjust these things for you. The man behind the counter today was friendly and informative, happy to help me figure out how to order correctly. I got the standard house milk tea with boba and pudding at 25% sweet, which is my go-to order so I can evaluate the tea flavor! I like a nice strong tea flavor to be dominant, complimented by milk and subtle sweetness. The tea flavor was good here but I think I'd try zero sweet next because the boba and pudding were quite sweet in and of themselves, so maybe no sweetener needed next time! I appreciate places where I can do that. The boba was super soft, nice sweet flavor. The pudding was softer than my preference but still had a good flavor. Some puddings start to taste very artificial, but not this one. read more

This has been my go to boba spot when I go to work. My coworker and I hit this spot once or sometimes twice a week. It's a cute small little shop just next to a restaurant. You can order through the cashier or the tablet. I usually order with the cashier because he's super nice and accommodating. I've tried a good amount of different flavors from their menu before and I haven't been disappointed yet. My usual go to is the lavender milk tea but this time I went for the Lychee Iced Tea with lychee jelly. Only stopped by since we had dinner at Blossom Vietnamese food down the block. Not sure what's the name of this establishment but I see "Haru" all over. So the pictures made it look so good and hydrating. When I got the drink, it was not too good. The cups didn't look as cute and the drink was bland mix with lots of sugar. I love this spot! They have so many great flavors of boba slushies, teas and mills. Today I had the two choices of strawberry and pineapple. So delicious that I forgot to post. They use to have very yummy ice cream but no longer there. It's a very hip spot for the teenagers. read more

Stick with the milk teas. I ordered a Vietnamese coffee (cafe sua da) and my boyfriend ordered a plain iced back coffee and the total came to just over $11 and we were so disappointed. The Vietnamese coffee wasn't strong and there was so much ice that we were done with our drinks within a few sips. Our friend and his son were happy with their milk tea drinks so that's a plus. We like visiting the park nearby but we'll walk the extra 30ft to go to Starbucks next time. Service was friendly tho. Their ice cream looks good too. read more

I tried two different drinks with boba. When I first sipped, it was very sweet and tasty, but didn't last very long. Very soon it became huge tasteless iceberg with some boba. I let it sit a while so that the solid ice became liquid. Once it was melted, there was no taste at all: just plain icy liquid. To my surprise, the other one I tried was the same thing. How did she do that? Both drinks were exactly the same, mostly watered down icy liquid. Wow she's got some talent! Don't ice blend your drink, or you'll regret it. Would I come back here again? I came over before they were officially open and they actually checked to see if the boba were ready to be served she said sometimes it is ready earlier. I was checking out an art crawl on Ocean Park Boulevard when I saw that wondrous 4 letter word - Boba. Some people don't understand the fun of chewing and drinking at the same time. First time here and last time here. Just ordered two taro milk bubble teas with boba + a macaroon via Postmates and the drinks arrived WITHOUT BOBA - this is sacrilegious! Street parking is the only option and is normally pretty full during the day, but if you're at one of the many businesses in the area like I am, it's a nice little walk with a cold drink at the end. I got regular milk tea, which was alright as well. The tea was very strong and not as milky as I would like it to be.
