So me and the bf see a sign for frozen yogurt on their window and being a froyo fiend .. we decided to give it a go. Plus these two people leaving the place was like "This is waaaaay better than Pinkberry!!" So we had to try it now and judge for ourselves. They have green tea, orginal tart, strawberry and another flavor, I forget which one. We tasted the green tea and strawberry first. They were both watered down cause it didn't taste too well and not tarty at all. So we opted for the original with mochii. Yea, it was a little watered down and not as icy and creamy as Pinkberry. This is NOT better than Pinkberry .. not even close. They also had gelato, so we got some gelato fix as well. I tried their coffee crunch an it was crunchy indeed but way too icy. Wasn't creamy at all. So I took it back to the lady and asked if I could just get another flavor cause it was too icy and not creamy like a gelato should be. She looked at me confused cause she did not understand English that well. But finally understood what i wanted and was glad to replace it for me. I then opted for their cookies and creme and it wasn't great. It left a weird after taste. But at least it wasn't icy like the coffee one. Overall, decent place. The prices are about the same for froyo or gelatos if you were to get it somewhere else or anywhere for the matter of fact. But this place just doesn't do it for my tastebuds, not at all. read more

Imagine the power of 100 orgasms and you'll know the power of a small chocolate gelato from Fruitti Yogo. Wait, no, not the gushing power of 100 male orgasms (kinda gross, I know), but the ecstatic power of 100 multiple female orgasms. Not that I would know this firsthand, but I can imagine. I didn't know which flavor to choose; they all looked so good. The lady behind the counter recommended that chocolate and mint chip were the two most popular flavors. I sampled the chocolate, and as soon as the gelato hit my tongue, it's like fireworks went off! Any chocoholic will consider this to be akin to a cokehead's Peruvian flake. Update 7/17/07- SHIT. as of now not open on the weekends. I know. UPDATE 4/26/07 Gasp, they have.......pu-pu-pu-punch cards! I fucking loooooove punch cards! (my first yelp obscenity? well deserved!) A punch card for something that you like and go to often--it's like giving you some love back. And you can get a punch for yogurt OR gelato, any purchase over three dollars! Also they have mochi balls now as a topping. And blackberries. Perhaps raspberries are coming soon? I picked up the psuedoberry yogurt to go and also sampled the raspberry sorbet from the gelato side. Sorbet was over frozen but tasty. Not as sweet or intense as I was expecting but authentic to the flavor of a raspberry. UPDATE 4/15/07 after power yoga, i was craving pinkberry but didn't want to drive that far, scour for parking, wait in that long line...so i popped over to fruitti yogo and tried their pinkberry knockoff fro-yo. They didn't have as many toppings (no raspberries, sigh, or mochi balls) and the stuff is the same price as PB (med w/ 3 toppings is $5). But, the yogurt tastes pretty much identical. At first, I thought it was "missing something", but the more I ate, I realized it would be hard to pick the real Pinkberry out of a blind taste test. Also I realized I was smiling as I ate. They were a little stingy with the fruit but it was good and fresh. The best part was it wasn't far, no issues parking, and NO LINE. oh, and i got to sample another gelato flavor on my way out: crem caramel. It was good!! I was about to consume a big (free) meal and I bought an appetizer of gelato? I think it's cos I was recently asked by a fellow yelper for a gelato recommendation, having proclaimed myself a true connosuier, and sadly I had no good response for him. I told him I'd let him know if I ever found any. So I think I felt compelled to taste any and every "gelato" I stumbled upon. This place advertises Boba! Frozen Yogurt! Italian Gelati! Hmmmm, bad sign....which is it? Plus, it's a little asian store snuggled between Miyako Sushi and The Counter (love them both btw) and I did not expect to be impressed with its "Italian" gelato offering. When I walked in, I first saw all the Pinkberry-like products. That's what people were eating and what seemed to be their proudest offering. Then I rounded the corner...and whoa! What a beautiful display case of gelato! It was so pretty, with so many colors and decorations like cherries, nuts, and even flowers laying atop the swirls of goodness. Lots of tempting flavas, but would they hold up? I sampled the Pistacchio...honestly, it wasn't bad, and it definitely tasted like actual pistacchio nuts, but I am massively picky about my pistacchio gelato. Even in Italy (I'm still a gelato snob over there) there are variations of the flavor that I love and ones that I don't wanna eat. So while this wasn't my favorite shade of pistacchio, it was valid and earned respect for the establishment as a gelataria. I got a small, only $2.50! It was, in fact, small, hey we don't really need those gelato calories do we? I asked for half "coco almond" and half tiramisu. "Which tiramisu, we have two. One is more sweet. Want to sample them both?" Hell's yeah i do! The "less sweet" one is more traditional and tastes mostly like coffee.*** The "sweet" one has a condensed milk thing going on on top of the coffee flavor. They were both good, I went with the "less sweet", probably just because I am a snob. The Coco-Almond flavor- what a bomb idea! Coconut gelato is one of my favorite flavors. Studded with almond chunks and slivers just knocked my socks off! This flavor was grrrrrrrrrrrreat, I wanted the whole cup to just be that flavor. And the stuff was really fresh, no little ice crystals or freezer burn going on. I have no idea if their ingredients/technique were authentic Italian, but the stuff tasted more like the real deal that anything I've had in America so far. **** Yes, bold words from the gelato snob. From a little Boba stand??? I know! Get out! Shut up! I hope this place keeps it up and I hope their other flavors kick ass too....I'm going back soon for sure. Hmmm...mixed thoughts on this place. I'll have to go back and see if my thoughts change (plus, I only tried the gelato). The Good: The gelato case, what a sight! They offer about 12 different flavors from fruit to chocolate. I had the mint chocolate which was good and creamy (but had an interesting minty after taste). An option to gelato is the frozen yogurt. Pick your flavor and choose from oodles of toppings (candy, fruit, and as Sarah Beth pointed out, mochi). Where I didn't try the yogurt, the gentleman in front of me ordered the chocolate. Upon first spoonful, his face cringed in "not so yummy" and he pronounced it was too sour for his taste. After sampling every other flavor, he decided on the strawberry. Maybe his taste buds were off. The "Ehhh": Besides the interesting after taste of the gelato (and seeing the previous customer's response to the frozen yogurt), the service could be a little friendlier. I don't think the person behind the counter spoke one word to me with the only exception being $2.50. All in all, a decent place to go for a sweet treat. Ok the frozen yogurt isn't that great. I ordered a small. The girl gave me a sample. I said it was alright and all of a sudden she was scooping out a full version. I really wanted to tell her to not even bother, but I didn't want to be rude. It was kind of ok. The raspberries on top were at least good though. Best ice blended milk tea boba in LA (and I've tried them all) Order it and you're welcome. 4 stars cause they're freaking CLOSED SUNDAYS... and their gelatto looks like it's melting/refreezing. ********** Edit - now open Sundays, AND they deliver! Fruitti Yogo is yet another tart yogo spot that has spawned from the famous Pink Berry, Just like all the other knock offs, its alright but there really isnt anything special about it. If youre craving some yogurt and youre near this place, go ahead but you can definatly find better places for your yogurt/gelato. read more

Cute small store, great flavors and nice staff! The lady working let me sample all the gelato flavors even after we'd ordered and finished a small gelato. I'll definitely be back to try the frozen yogurt. Come here for dessert if you aren't too full after eating at the Counter burger across the street :) read more

The frozen yogurt is better than any of the others I've been to and they have good mochi, but the gelato is terrible. It was not fresh, or mixed properly. The strawberry didn't taste at all like strawberries, but rather some fake berry crap and the peanut butter was full of gross chocolate and nuts and not much of a peanut buttery flavor. I would never get the gelato again. They should call it mierda sul gelato. read more

My drinks are made perfect every time I have come here. I love getting the Thai Milk tea with boba. On different occasions I will get the smoothies and ice cream... all which are delicious! Nice fast service is also a PLUS! read more

i've always driven by this place and wondered if it was any good. the outside is definitely misleading since inside it is very clean and they have a variety of toppings. i had the strawberry froyo with oreo toppings. the yogurt was good but i've had better. the oreo toppings were stale so that's why i rated this place a bit lower. if you're in the mood for yogurt i'd say try them out. read more

I only tried a watermelon slush/boba drink there----it was one of the worst I have ever had. Boba was way too sweet, probably cooked in syrup for hours, and the watermelon flavor was straight out of some artificially flavored sugar syrup----super sweet pink/red fluid without a hint of watermelon. Maybe this establishment is better off specializing in gelato and frozen yogurt. read more

I'm always a fan of the milk tea boba from here. always quiet and easy, with parking out front makes this place a good boba spot. their coffee boba is good too. they have ice cream and friendly staff. the place is never too busy which makes is easy for me. its a great dessert after leaving the counter right across the street. read more

Pretty bad bubble tea. For some reason I thought this place was called Bubble boba since it's written really largely on the side, but I guess not, unless they changed their name. Anyways, I went in thinking it was a boba place and naturally got tea. I should've known better, seeing as how everyone else in the joint got ice cream or smoothies. The house milk tea has more of a brown sugar/molasses taste to it that strongly overpowers everything else and is overly sweet. I couldn't even taste the underlying tea flavor. Its sitting in my fridge, and I'm debating if I even want to drink it since I did pay like $5 for it. The passion black tea was more appetizing but tasted a bit more plum flavored than passion flavored. I also did not like the taste of the underlying black tea. I probably won't be going back for bubble tea, ever. read more
