    Iced ube latte
    Stephanie L.

PARKING: Walked here but there's street parking! SEATING: Very spacious, lots of students here studying. I sat at the bar sipping on my coffee as I was waiting for my nail appointment next door. Super pretty interior! Very cozy. SERVICE: The barista was helpful and friendly. He answered my questions and even walked the drink out to me instead of calling my name out at the counter. That was very nice! FOOD: I got the iced ube latte. Absolutely amazing. Not too sweet but definitely remember to mix it up before you drink or you'll end up drinking all the syrup first, haha. The coffee was perfect and I am def coming back for another one! I wish I had the appetite for the pastries/food because they sounded so good. OVERALL: A cute place to study or to just chill! It's a very good vibes type of place with great coffee!

Espressoteric Coffee features a dark, rustic vibe - think dimly lit log cabin on an early afternoon. Parking in this area of Westwood isn't always the easiest... maybe you may get lucky in the residential areas, but for the most part, it'll be metered street parking - unless of course, you're visiting on a Sunday! I had their iced latte, and my first though was wow, bold! The beans used here will definitely wake you up. That burst of caffeine? Nearly instant! The staff member working at the time was quite straightforward and direct, no frills, got the order in and out with light conversation, and I was off on my way. I can see this area being a quite popular meetup / study spot, so make sure to plan ahead if visiting at a busy time!

Espressoteric is one of the best coffee places in the Westwood area. Their drinks taste great and they have coffee iced cubes, which is a good way to ensure your iced coffee doesn't get diluted over time. The vibes inside are nice and conducive to studying and getting work done as the WiFi is fairly functional. Conversely it's also a nice place to sit and chat with a friend. If you're a student there's also a discount!

drinks: 3/5 I got a medium Cookie Butter Latte w/ 2% milk. The aesthetics were on point, but the flavors were not. I was expecting Biscoff but only got the slightest hint of caramel. ambiance: 5/5 The cafe was so nicely decorated!! The place is quiet and has lots of seating. Their music is also calming and helps focus. New favorite study spot :)

Espressoteric Coffee; 1311 Westwood Blvd, Los Angeles Cookie Butter Latte 7/10; didn't rly taste like Cookie butter but it was overall a good iced latte. I was expecting more of the biscoff taste in it so it was a little misleading, the barista did say that it was the most popular drink from the specialty menu iced matcha latte; my friend got this and said it was pretty good vibes; this cafe is definitely more of a study vibe w/ super quiet ambiance. Honestly don't even remember if there was any music playing but I would probably go somewhere else if you were looking for more of a yap fest/catchup with the girls

First time visiting Espressoteric Coffee. I'm always leery about going into Westwood, but was pleasantly surprised with Espressoteric Coffee. Here is my breakdown: Ambience- 5 ; Service- 3 ; Coffee/Tea- 4. We went to have coffee with a few friends, Turned out to be a great location choice. Went in the afternoon on a weekday and were able to find seating at a large table near the front window. Interior is spacious and ambience is relaxing. Ordered a large Black Iced Tea and Iced Matcha Latte. Both were fine. However, I noticed they have a check-in special on their Yelp: 1 free coffee when you bring a friend... Check in here to unlock this offer. Well, I tried to check in to get this offer, and the guy at the counter said that this offer is only good on Saturdays! Also, they did have pastries, but none of them were visible at the counter area where you order. I'd only order one if they were visible and you can check them out first. There is no parking lot, but street parking seemed plentiful. Was able to find an open metered parking spot right around the corner, so that was great. For this reason, I'd recommend Espressoteric Coffee.

I am so happy to have stumbled upon this hidden gem! I was looking for a coffee shop open early in the morning to grab a quick hot Americano & head to my appointment and I saw Espressoteric on yelp, and thought I'd stop by. Upon walking in, I was blown away by the unique ambiance and vibe of this place. It's the perfect spot to enjoy a cup of coffee, work on your laptop, meet with a friend, or just chill. The owner is super nice and has put so much of his talent into the decor and functionality of this place. From his handcrafted tables (yes he built them himself), to the elaborate bar and design (which he also built!), it's honestly very impressive. I LOVEEEE the way this place flows & it has such a calming yet eclectic vibe. I can't wait to come back and just get some work done while enjoying great coffee & bites! I'm honestly shocked to not see it packed! That definitely needs to change. We have a hidden gem here Westwood! Come by and check it out!

    Latte with lavender syrup

This is an ambient cafe to study at, tucked on busy Westwood Blvd. There is plenty of seating and at the bar (my favorite) there's counter space for people who take up extra room with their "study spread" like I do. Baristas are at the bar and their drinks are good, I had a latte with lavender syrup. Service is very nice, keep in mind they can get busy and there were only two people in when I was there. Their drinks are okay, the latte was nice and balanced between creamy and strong. Strength was there without being too milky. However, I couldn't justify the almost $7 price when there's other places around the corner with the same for a larger size. They also have no straws! But most of the flavor I was looking for was at the bottom. Would definitely come here to study, but if you're looking for good coffee for value I'd seek elsewhere.

I've visited this coffee shop a couple of times now and this is the first time I've yelped about it. The cafe is ideal for the work from home employee that wants to get out. It is very quiet and seats about 30 people comfortably. Literally I've walked in when it was 20 or more people and I kid you not, if I had a blind fold on I would think it's empty because of the quietness. The coffee is made fresh by one person so you know it's good. They have many different flavors and style of coffee to choose from. Also the pastries are served fresh and get delivered on a daily from local bakeries. I highly recommend a visit to this coffee shop become it has all the intangibles to become an everyday location to work and enjoy great coffee and snacks.

Finding this little gem made my day. I was getting my passport renewed at the Los Angeles Passport Agency. I had to wait a few hours before coming back to pick up my passport. Scoped out the area for a coffee shop to get some work done. Espressoteric Coffee just happened to be 2 minutes down the street. It was perfect. I got there when they opened at 8am. Parked on the street for free. They also had metered parking but I found parking with no meter located around the corner on the side of the building. This coffee shop is just the freaking cutest!!! I love how clean, modern and spacious the set up was. So many seating options from comfy couches, chairs, barstool countertop seating to nice big table seating. Very cool decor and a total urban feel here. They have coffee and pastries ya'll. I got the lavender latte and it was made to perfection. Not too sweet but a hint of lavender without it being overpowering and tasting like a candle or something. Haha.

Worth the short trek. It was a cold Sunday morning, but the place was busy with families, Gen Z'ers, young couples and lots of dogs. Out front, two girlfriends were hanging out with their matchas deep in gossip and clearly enjoying the morning. The matcha seemed popular, but I needed something hot. I appreciated that their drink menu had some personality, because a lot of coffee/matcha spots feel like they're copying from the same boring menu. I got the sea salt mocha and it was delicious. Smooth, chocolatey and just salty enough. My wife got some type of cereal milk latte, which sounded epic but was apparently just mid. Still, we didn't regret the walk. ChitChat is a cool little Sawtelle stop with good drinks, good energy and plenty of dog-friendly vibes. Pro tip: Afterwards, swing-by Yamaguchi Bonsai Nursery kitty-corner from the coffee shop. The bonsai garden is insane.

Disappointing end to 15 years of loyalty…read more I have been a loyal customer of Coffee Tomo since 2011, frequently recommending it to friends. Sadly, that ends today. Over the last couple of years, the charm of this café has faded, culminating in a truly awful experience this morning. The solo staff member working today was incredibly discourteous. Because I had my leashed dog with me, she practically threw me out of the store. While she pointed to the "no dogs allowed" sign, I explained that I was only inside to order and planned to sit outside, something I have done on countless previous visits. After being forced to wait outside, my drink was left sitting on the counter for several minutes. The barista never bothered to let me know it was ready, despite the café being slow. To make matters worse, the beverage was poorly made, with coffee spilled all over the saucer. This isn't the first time I've experienced bad service here, but it will definitely be the last.

The drinks were very good and exactly what you'd expect from a quality café. But the food presentation--wow! It completely exceeded my expectations. We ordered the avocado toast, the breakfast burrito, and the egg on brioche. Every dish was beautifully plated, garnished with edible flowers, and served with a fresh, delicious salad. I honestly wasn't expecting this level of presentation from a café. The portions were generous as well, leaving us completely satisfied. I also tried one of their pastries that reminded me of a cinnamon roll. It was enjoyable, though as a professional baker and pastry chef, I felt the pastries were the one area with room for improvement. In my opinion, they seemed to prioritize elegance and originality over achieving the best texture and flavor. Even so, they were still good, and I appreciated the creativity. As soon as I took the sandwich out the huge flies would not leave it alone. Be aware. I found free street parking pretty easy on a side street. I thought I'd come here to read but they are kinda blasting the music so maybe it's not the best environment for that. Too much noise. I did not like the butterscotch latte.
