TLDR: Another tea shop in the great Sawtelle battlefield. I don't think I'm crazy to say that they're one of the big dogs. Just try it, you won't regret it. Black Tea w/ Pudding: It's your classic milk tea that kicked off this craze. I think 50% sugar is enough, and the pudding will be the thing that adds "body" to the drink itself. The pudding itself is exciting at the beginning, but not ideal to drink solo in the end. I'd really recommend mixing it up from the beginning to make the flavor more dynamic, and to really just make things a bit different from just being a standard (and reliable) milk tea. Mango Pomelo: I think it was a gamble to get this at 100% sugar, and I feel that a 75% option would've been the sweet spot. Mango pomelo is a combination that's been here ever since the US market started embracing fruits that aren't grown locally here. It's a very reliable fruity option, and they know it. Ube Coconut: 50% sugar is perfect. Similar to mango pomelo, if you've had ube before and found yourself enjoying it, this won't let you down. If you've never had ube before and you want something different. This would be a good place to start. Take a chance. Ambiance: It's a tea shop that looks like all the other shops. You're not here to chill, you're here to get your drink and enjoy Sawtelle's restaurant/dessert battleground. Service: We got there 10 mins before closing. I'm just glad they entertained us, and the person behind us. No complaints here.
Sucker for anything black sesame and their black sesame under the clouds drink was so delicious! Added an Oreo cloud as well. Got as 50% sugar but next time will probably get 70% since think it could've been a tad bit sweeter Appreciate the insulated bag it was delivered in as well!
The first time we came here, we were blown away by the delicious drinks (not so much the second time...more on that later)! They have a variety of unique flavor offerings!! We initially got the oreo strawberry and cream (AMAZING) and the avocado with mango. The oreo strawberry was so good and I would recommend it if you tend to like dairy drinks/shakes and oreo flavors! The avocado had a unique flavor and was delicious too with fresh mango chunks! I would recommend that if you like avocado flavors. Service was ok. They had kiosks but we had a problem with them taking an international card so we went to the cashier, who seemed impatient since she was making drinks too. We got our drink at a reasonable time given there were orders before us. The drinks made up for everything. I liked it so much I came back soon after and brought others. The second time was not good compared to the first. My friends got the sour strawberry jasmine and brown sugar drinks, which were not the best. The sour drink was overwhelming, and the brown sugar had inconsistent bland sips despite mixing (apparently something with the sugar stuck on the bottom that couldn't be mixed) . The mango pomelo was very much on the sweet side and the mango flavoring seemed off. Interestingly, it did not have mango chunks like the avocado drink. Actually, I preferred the mango taste on the avocado drink from the first time I visited compared to this actual mango drink. Perhaps the inconsistent drinks may be due to limited staffing as there was only one person making the drinks. I would give this place another try but I would avoid the sour strawberry, mango pomelo (unless you like very sugary mango), and brown sugar. I would definitely get the oreo strawberry again and would be open to trying other flavors
I LOVE THIS PLACE! I came here before and got the strawberry and cream drink! The shop is cute and the service is fast. They have a $3 tea of the day which is super neat to see. These drinks come in little mini cups so you are able to sample different flavors that you might not usually get. The service here is super quick, you can order at the kiosk and grab your drink pretty much within five minutes if they are not too busy. I also have tried their other strawberry drink (which I cannot recall the name of) and that one is also quite delicious! Love that this place is so cute and has so much value in their drinks as well! Their boba is nice, chewy, and flavorful and I often stop by. Do note, one of their kiosks unfortuately does not take tap, but the other one does, so just make sure that your order goes through!
They have Cheesetella, which is Japanese cheesecakes! You need to try it because it's sooo good! I tried their Mango Avocado drink, so refreshing! The store is very simple and you order on the kiosk, quick in and out sugar boba fix!
Honestly my fav boba in Sawtelle! My wife and I love that they have $3 drinks and guess what? We were crazy enough to go home and measure the fluid volume of the $3 vs the full price drinks (usually $6-7). It's EXACTLY half the volume of the full price and we love the value here. Only thing is that its sugar is non-adjustable and we usually go 0% sugar. Still awesome! Thanks 7 Mile we heart you! Ambiance btw? Another time I took my Filipino parents and they TOTALLY played some viral OPM hits; absolutely made our day! Ty guys!
Swung by 7 Miles after Killer Noodle. There was a bit of a wait...didn't realize it would take staff quite some time to get drinks out...so looking back, probably wouldn't have waited. We weren't very big fans of the drinks. Limited selection of their preset drinks. Tea flavor tasted off and weird after taste. Street parking only.
I tried really, really hard to like this place, especially after seeing them features in a youtube video. I even came back a 2nd time to try their fruit teas. I first ordered their Osmanthus Oolong with 70% sugar and Vienna Cream and Brulee Black with 50% sugar. The Oolong was way too sweet at 70% - to a point where I felt sick after the first sip. Luckily, the service staff was able to adjust the sweetness, and made it more tolerable. The osmanthus oolong flavor was not prominent, and just tasted like a oolong milk tea at best. The brulee black was just a creme brulee milk tea. The burnt brown sugar and cream was really good, but otherwise it was just a super basic milk tea drink. The boba pearls are a solid 2/10. Yes, they have texture, but they were absolutely tasteless and lacked the bounce you feel in the fresh boba pearls. I ordered around 6:30PM, so there's no excuse to non tasty boba. I would not recommend any milk tea drinks, nor would I ever get their boba pearls again. 75 cents add on for a gamble doesn't make sense, especially when it happened in both drinks. The boba pearls singlehandedly made my drinks unenjoyable, and my wife and I both ended up throwing away our drinks halfway through. I came back a second time and ordered the strawberry n cream, which was basically a smoothie with lychee jelly. It was very solid, but does not stand out. It's not a bad drink, but that's also because I knew I couldn't trust their milk teas, but still wanted to give them a second chance. Maybe their fruit drink selection is the way to go, because the milk tea department is lacking. Other reviewers also mostly order their fruit drinks.
If you're visiting Sawtelle and want something a little more than your standard boba tea drinks, 7 Miles Tea Lab is a great spot to visit. It took over the old Yi Fang space and has a very modern, clean aesthetic with easy-to-use kiosks for ordering. 7 Miles serves a variety of unique drinks but my favorites are 7's Mango Pomelo, Watermelon Coconut, and Avocado on Mando. The menu is consistently changing to offer more variety. The shop is small but it has a little nice patio area with tables which is great for hanging out when the weather is nice.
To wash down how bland Motoring Coffee was, my friend and I stopped her, especially after hearing one of our friend group rant on about boba economics analysis he was watching and how 7 Miles was brought up. Seeing as it's not one of the franchises found in the 626 (at least not when we visited, we had to try). There's some seating inside and outside and you order through their tablet kiosk. While the sun setting, it's beautiful for golden hour pictures but you get blinded in the mean time as well. During our visit, we got a fruity drink, a milk drink, and some Hokkaido soft serve with their house mango sauce. The fruity drink was a sweet peach jasmine and it was a blended tea drink with real fruit in it. Adjusted with a lower sweetness and the flavor of the peach really shone through. We got the phoenix oolong milk tea which just was a standard oolong milk tea, not bad, but if you blind folded me I wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Soft serve was delicious. More of a sweet milk flavor than regular soft serve and not icy in the slightest. Decent boba place (like the Omomo of not the Chino/OC area if I had to describe it as such) and cute little dude as a mascot.
Ordering from the kiosk went super smoothly! The ambiance of the store was also super clean. As for the boba itself--absolutely delicious. I prefer mine not too sweet, and the staff did it! The cheese cloud is absolutely delicious too.
fyi they're currently trying to bribe reviews. annoying valet and one ordering terminal is literally not accepting cards. but drinks are okay, just pricey

This was a refreshing finish to the day since I ordered the extremely rewarding Ube Coconut Milk! The walk right over was not far at all from my last spot and I actually came here because I had seen people walk by with drinks from this place while I was eating dinner. It was the right decision because my drink, which had ube cream, milk, purple sticky rice, coconut milk, and boba was phenomenal! I do not think that I have ever had a bad dessert with ube in it, so it is usually my go-to item when I see it on the menu, so although I knew it would be amazing, I will try something else from the menu for my next visit because I have a feeling that the entire menu will give positive vibes! Absolutely loved 7 Miles Tea Lab! The Banana Matcha Latte is AMAZING -- creamy, smooth, and the banana and matcha flavors complement each other perfectly without being overly sweet. I frequent here a lot, and have loved their Jasmine milk tea and Oolong. Today I got my usual Jasmine jelly topping, but the big chunks that usually come were now clearly the bottom of the batch, and were the off-putting texture of little crumbs of chunks. It tasted weird and had an off smell. I tried confirming with the barista if this was the correct topping and she said it was. I'm sure it is but...maybe it's time to double check that the quality is up to standard. I also got my usual 30% sweetness and this is so much more than that. Just because it's busy shouldn't mean that the quality of drinks goes down. Disappointed :( $6.50 for this.. I want it back... read more

7'S MANGO POMELO and AVOCADO ON MANGO are my 2 favorites and SO delicious. The avocado is very creamy and subtle if you're on the fence. Would highly recommend. You can order at the register or self order on one of the two ordering screens. Street parking can be tricky on the weekends but I always find parking within a couple minutes walk. There is also some parking spaces in the back. Sawtelle is a lovely neighborhood to walk around anyway. Enjoy! read more

I always recommend 7 Miles to anyone who's looking for fruit tea in Sawtelle. They have fresh fruit in their drinks and the coolest combinations. I'm personally obsessed with the Guava Grape Bliss. I would've never thought that this combo would be so good, but I highly recommend it! It's this super sweet and tangy blend of guava smoothie with grape chunks and agar boba. It's so good! I also recommend the Sour Strawberry, Pineapple Sunshine, and Mango Passion. read more
Such a great boba store on Sawtelle! The drinks are fun and unique - my go tos are the creme brulee and watermelon jasmine. The drinks do come extremely sweet and even the 30% sweetness tasted syrupy. If you don't like your drinks super sweet, I would recommend doing 0% sweetness if you're adding toppings. read more
