    Thai tea salt cream
    Kelly L.

Stopped by with my friend as she had recommended this place to me. We arrived on a Saturday early evening, and there was no line. The shop was very small and could only fit a few people comfortably. I ordered the Thai Tea with Salt Cream. I've never had the cream with it before, so I was excited to try it. The drink tasted good. It was on the sweeter side, which I do prefer. Later on, I noticed the drink wasn't sealed properly and had spilled a little and stained some of my items :( Overall, I would recommend but not go out of my way to go to this specific shop. I would come back if I wanted a drink and was in the area. Parking: Paid parking structure for the mall

I only visit the Westfield Century City for a few reasons and Redstraw is among my top 3 reasons. My recommendations if you don't like sweet drinks! Get your drinks with less sugar :) My #1! Grapefruit Punch, special blend jade tea mixed with fresh grapefruit juice. Service is great! They work so hard to get your drinks just right. Store is big enough for pick up only but there is a bench right outside that sits 2-3 people.

This place has a minimalistic aesthetic and the employee was friendly. Drinks were quick because I saw the green juice (cucumber juice), tea was all brewed and ready. Employee poured it from a big jug. I also saw some syrups in the back but my drink didn't seem to need that. Thankfully! I got a tea with jasmine flower and cucumber juice. It was refreshing but I paid for aloe as a topping. It didn't come with it! It's a decent option but wouldn't be my first choice.

Every time I go to the century city mall I always go to red straw. I'm a fruit tea boba girl and they always brew their tea fresh and it's very aromatic. Not too sweet (best compliment) and service is pretty quick. While there's no seating in the store itself, there are many seating options throughout the mall. This specific day that I went I also got a bread from 85 degrees bakery. Perfect snack combo!

Surprisingly the line on a Sunday afternoon is not that long. I ordered their Mango Mojito with Aloe and it's refreshing, though the quantity of the aloe is a little few to what I normally get.

I didnt have high hopes for this place but after shopping at Popmart I noticed a line formed and so I wanted to give it a try. There were two baristas working and they seemed pretty swamped but still super friendly and answered all my questions as a first timer. I asked for the strongest milk tea and was recommended the Redstraw milk tea which is just a black tea with milk and boba. I got this at quarter sweet and asked for easy milk which they complied with. Its not the best boba place Ive ever had but I think its still good in its own way given the location as well. The boba wasnt too bad! It was a little bit on the harder side but I kind of enjoyed it that way at that time so it was okay! Not too sweet at all and you could definitely taste the tea. Overall they seem really accommodating and nothing is overly sugary so I would come here again to try other things if I am in the area!

Redstraw Tea Bar has a nice, modern interior that's clean and welcoming--a great spot to hang out or grab a drink. The service, however, was just okay. The staff got the job done, but nothing about the interaction stood out as particularly helpful or engaging. I ordered a honey oolong milk tea with boba and went with the default sweetness level of 75%. When I asked for more details about how much honey that actually meant, the only response I got was "normal is 75%," which wasn't very helpful. If they'd provided specifics--like an ounce measurement--I could have adjusted the sweetness better. My drink ended up being a bit too sweet for my taste, but overall, the flavor was good. I might come back to try a different drink, but I'm more likely to explore what other options the mall has to offer first. Redstraw is solid, but it didn't really wow me.

My friend and I looked at the Redstraw menu prior to dining at Din Tai Fung, and decided we'd be stopping in for a tea afterwards. Disclaimer, I'm not someone that drinks tea often, but I thought the Rose Garden was delicious! It was a perfect combination of rose and lychee, and just the right amount of sweetness. My friend ordered the Rose Buds hot and added boba. It was her first time drinking a hot beverage with boba, but she thought it was great! I would absolutely come back!

one of my fav tea shops in the area! I haven't been in years, but remembered this place and had to go back! my go-to is the rose garden drink and it tastes just as I remember it - a flavorful but subtle rosy flavor with a hint of lychee in jasmine green tea. I feel like the tea here is always high quality which makes it stand out to me the shop is small and doesnt have seating inside - only a counter to order from. there is a large bench outside of the storefront but since it's in a mall, I usually walk around w my drink service was quick and efficient, which is nice! I'm surprised this place isn't as crowded/popular, but I'm glad I don't have to wait!

I stumbled upon redstraw during my visit at Century City mall last Sunday afternoon (7/28). The ambiance is very bougie because of the drink prices and white color scheme. Their drink selections sounded promising but their milk teas and strawberry matcha latte without dairy alternatives is a dealbreaker. It's 2024, and many other boba shops and cafes are offering dairy alternatives (soy or almond milk) on their lattes and milk teas. I wanted to try Redstraw's Strawberry Matcha latte but it is only offered in Whole Milk. Please be considerate of any customers who are lactose intolerant and add dairy alternatives to your milk teas and matchas. As a non-dairy alternative, I ordered redstraw's Japanese Sakura Cherry with honey boba. I noticed that the staff seeps their teas naturally for each order. The staff on duty told me it would take at least 5-7 minutes before the order was ready. I waited for less than 5 minutes and it was ready. In terms of presentation, the drink lacked any distinction of sakura cherries on the drink itself. While the green tea tasted naturally, unfortunately I was not fond of the cherry flavor. My Sakura Cherry drink tasted like cough syrup and I do not taste any authentic sakura flavor. I'm sorry Redstraw, this is the last straw of me trying your boba place. What a disaster and disappointment. Everyone else is better off trying Wushiland or another authentic boba place in Sawtelle or Westwood.

Service was bad and drink was horrible. It wasn't worth 12 bucks. The employees didn't know what they were doing .

Service is bad. Drinks were horrible. Not worth 12 bucks. Don't go here. Not worth it!! I would rather go somewhere else with my money.

Highly recommend this place! I stumbled across this place and I'm so glad I did! I ordered the Mango Mojito and it's so refreshing! The service was quick! It's on the second floor, adjacent to Ding Tai Fung. I'll be back to try more drinks soon! :)

cleaning products thrown around black mold coming from walls.

Service was bad, unsanitary conditions while preparing the drinks didn't offer me water after we purchased 4 drinks unless paid 2$ for a small cup of water. The cleaning products were thrown around next to the drinks and black mold coming from the walls.

There is also some street parking available, though it can be a bit difficult to find an open spot. Service at this location is okay, sometimes good and friendly and other times not so much. It doesn't bother me too much since I don't interact with them very often though. I usually order online and pick up at the counter, which I find much more convenient. Recently, I believe they extended the delivery area on the map to LA, but I haven't gotten the chance to try that out yet. They often run offers and promotions on their app, so I definitely recommend ordering online. You can also add a sticker to your cup when ordering online (if you draw your own it takes about a day to get it approved)! The interior is pretty small, so more of a grab-n-go, and it has a nice modern, clean aesthetic. The drinks are consistently pretty great! My go‑to orders are the Mango Coconut Boom and the Mango Grapefruit Boom. Super refreshing and fruity and the grapefruit adds a little tart, sour kick to the mango. I also really like the Triple Supreme Matcha and I recently tried the new seasonal King Jasmine Guava, and it wasn't bad at all too (the stickers are also super cute). Overall, really happy that this location opened, and the drinks are super good and keep me coming back.

I wouldn't recommend this location and would say it doesn't give the correct impression of what Heytea represents. Sure, having this spot on the west side of LA is nice but not if it's going to be a lackluster quality compared to the other location. So if you're desperate and in the west side, tread with caution knowing quality will be lower and to bring patience for parking.

It is pricey (maybe the priciest out there) but every element of the experience is top tier and you get what you pay for. The sandwiches, scones, and pastries are actually high quality and delicious. I love the variety of the sandwiches with some twists and premium ingredients like caviar. The scones are my favorite and not dry at all, it's served with clotted cream, lemon curd, and a berry jam - absolutely delicious. There's a lot of tea choices to choose from that will cater to a variety of tastes. The ambiance is what sets this afternoon tea apart from the rest. There's a live harpist! The Living Room decor feels very posh, the plates and cups have pretty designs, and the set is served on a silver 3-tier stand. The service is also fantastic! They kept coming back to refill our tea. The breeze knows this and thus its best to control itself because it knows its place in relation to this girl. If you make the decision, I recommend going on a day where you can absorb the classy and elegant (that slightly borders on stiff traditionally) vibe because no one deserves to have a troubled mind when enjoying luxurious tea. It is like a big sports guy, going to the Super Bowl, when back home they have a leaky faucet that is near full rupture but he cannot do anything until Monday. How is he suppose to enjoy viewing a fumble or bouncing cheerleaders or a roaring crowd with costumed fans, if there is a drip drip of worry in his mind that he cannot wrench into closing. I guess, this space is like a zen garden, where one goes to be present, not just to checkmark a daily meal. I say all that because I was silent for long moments, and I apologized to Ronnie for not engaging in conversation. And she said, "I understand, you are taking it all in." So this place is also a gallery of fancy, where one experiences tea in the cushions of Beverly Hills rarefied air. When I was there, I saw a large group of girls attending a baby shower. To me, it was a like small movie scene. All of them were gathered in a group, like lilies in a special patch, looking all pretty in nice dresses, long flowing hair, and were all smiles and refined in movement, taste and persona. I wondered why they were talking about? Ronnie anchored me back to reality and said, they are probably just catching up, just like us. She makes a good point--- a baby shower in a fancy tea room, is no different than a baby shower held in a back yard. Every one is there to give well-wishes and gifts, eat good food, and chat. There are obvious ways in which these two experiences are different but at their core they were the same: a group of people gathering to celebrate a coming child. One place just does it with white linens ironed to precious quality, while the other is limited to folded tables set up carefully so they don't break. I share this so that the reader knows that this place is so fancy, that I felt like I did not just have tea, I more felt like I was in a place that redefined fancy for me, and that in itself, is worth more than the 150.00 dollars I paid to sip rose tea. But still I would not do it again, because to sip rose tea and be pampered like a princess cost me 150.00 dollars. To translate this into a Yelp message: Go as a once in a life time experience to understand how the 1 percent enjoys their tea, and hopefully that adds to all that shapes your perspective of the world. I want to truly stress, that this slow moving experience, in a wondrous way, redefined what fancy is because I never saw fancy be effortless lazy yet still be extravagant and gorgeous. I was a guy there. There was another guy there, enjoying tea alone. But everyone else read female. So this place is women centered because who is taught to have tea parties at a young age? I mean there is no tea party with cups that show the Hulk and Iron man. So this is. a girlie fantasy. Look at my pictures, even though there are few one can see pink ribbons, floral patterns, precious and dainty flowers, and fashion carried by hats. I went because I am comfortable stepping outside gender roles but not everyone is. So, I guess, I am saying that afternoon tea, all adorn with teas, is mostly for girls, shocking I know. The food was superb. I remember the chicken salad sandwich fondly. I remember the strawberries and cream. I remember being handed a warm towel to wipe my hands clean. I remember lounging, but again, this is more of an experience. Like I can have high tea again, but not like this because it is too precious to revisit on rewind. I rather have this be a bubble that strolls down Rodeo and Sunset than it be popped by another visit. I remember all of it as a kind of dream, which makes it more precious. There was also a harp player. But I am not going to say I was in heaven, that reach is too easy. Plus, I did not feel like I was in heaven, even though I sat in a cloud. I noticed to much, and thought to much about my surroundings. I was not at peace. I was in rest. The difference being is that peace comes with out thought, and rest can come with an analysis. Think I am wrong? Then imagine a genius doing Sodukus for fun---- he is not in peace because he is being challenged, but he is in rest because she can find quiet pleasure in finishing the mental challenge in record time. I realize that I took a long way to say the following: the place is gorgeous, the food is sensational, the graces both big and small, mix into a pleasurable experience that makes one say, that was certainly fancy to the sky!
