Was so excited to hear that a bingsu spot opened in Sawtelle! You order at the kiosks and they'll call out your order when it's ready. They offer both single sizes or larger sizes and they have multiple flavors to pick from. They also have cute merch! We tried the mango sticky ice shaved ice which was super refreshing, but I felt like it could have been a bit milker/creamier. It comes with a side of mochi and I liked the addition of black sesame as a topping too! It's a small shop but there's both indoor and outdoor seating. Their spoons change color from white to blue which was actually soo cool!

I really wanted to love this place but it just cannot be compared to the golden standard, oakobing. I think the milkier flavors are better than the fruit ones. The horchata was probably the best flavor that I've tried so far. I thought the mango and strawberry ones were slightly icy? Service is very friendly and there are ample seats. I think I will keep trying the different flavors and report back.

I'm so glad I got to visit this place!! They're fairly new and in a prime location. Service was quick and easy and it's quite literally the perfect sweet treat. I ordered the mango sticky rice shaved ice with mochi on the side and loved it! It was the perfect amount of sweetness (esp with the condensed milk) and it was overall a super refreshing dessert. Their menu has such good flavors. I'll definitely be trying the melon next!

Large, meant for 2 people Mango and good! 9/10

The product is simple and tastes great! Although it's more expensive than you might think. But overall a very good experience with fresh tasting ingredients. I love the texture of their shaved ice. Really sets the benchmark! We tried the mango and I really enjoyed it. Though the picture of the product on the ordering screen made it seem a lot bigger than when the product came out. Not a big deal but did make me do a double take at first. The large is more than enough for two people.

Newest dessert place on Sawtelle. We tried the cereal and mango bingsu and the consistency and flavor was more similar to Chinese shaved ice in that it was icy and not as creamy as other bingu places. Lots of seating inside and outside.

Nice staff and nice spot. I do wish they kept the out door seating cleaner. Looks like they haven't been cleaned in months. As for the ice it's pretty nice. It has a different ice layered/sheet texture. As for the flavor, I want the biggest fan of the strawberry, messing just not for me but I did find the addition of the crumbs and mochi to be nice!

Grateful that there is a Korean shaved ice spot nearby! The owner was very kind and attentive as he ensured our experience was the best. Their attention to detail is what makes this spot stand out. The strawberry bingsu was my personal favorite as its texture was nothing like I have tried before with multiple layers and not overwhelming. It differed from the mango and milk based one that we tried. The mango is labeled as mango sticky, but there isn't a topping or flavor that really contributes to that, and was also a bit sweet. The Cinnamon Toast Crunch as a topping was enjoyable and unique! They validate for 30 minutes for the parking lot underneath, so if you plan to stay longer I'd recommend parking elsewhere! Sweetcane was originally located here and the effort to elevate the environment is very apparent as it's simple yet clean. Seating is limited to smaller groups, so if you do come with more than 4 it may be harder to sit all together inside or outside :)

Another new edition to Sawtelle! A little pricier than other bingsoo spots in my opinion, but so good. We got the mango and were able to share between 3 people, but I will be back to try other flavors!

Came during their opening day. Order the mango and the honeydew, the orders were supposed to come with mochi but they ran out. As a result, very one dimension

    Injeolmi flavor

This was super refreshing! I like that the servings are individual portion sizes which makes it a lot easier to try more flavors! I enjoyed the injeolmi flavor, just wish there was more injeolmi powder given/layered throughout it.

Best shaved ice I've had! Oreo was amazing. Can't wait to try the strawberry one next time I'm there! Staff was amazing too.

Great variety of ube flavored filipino desserts and teas. They also had great service and we were recommended their best seller: the ube cheesecake and the jasmine tea. The ube cheesecake was as their store name- sweet. I usually love sweet desserts and the cake itself was moist and had great flavor but the ube glaze on top was just TOO sweet and tasted like heavy pure sugar. The jasmine tea was brewed well and is above average. Good desserts and i would want to come bak to try other ube desserts and drinks!

My personal favorites are the ube hot bread pudding with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and buko pandan ice cream! I also have been a fan of many of their rotating flavors and on this most recent visit, I tried their senorita bread flavored pudding. Very very sweet but still tasty.

They use Straus organic milk and Califia Farms almond and oat milks. This location is 30 minutes away from us (if there's no traffic). Love that many locations have opened up! We also go to the Ktown and Pasadena locations. We try to find an excuse to go whenever possible! Ambience is clean and modern. They have an online ordering page which we often use especially during peak times. Each location has their own ordering page which can be accessed from their main website. https://www.oootea.world/us Our favorite drink is the Champion Milk Tea $7.50 + $1 boba +.50 almond milk (total $9)--love the red oolong tea! To make the drink more affordable, we have been forgoing the cream foam ($1) by ordering Red Oolong Milk Tea. Today we ordered the Red Oolong Milk Tea $6.50 with Wintermelon Silk Boba $1 + .50 almond milk (total $8). I like 25% sweetness and no ice (they still shake it with ice to make it cold). My husband got the Jasmine Green Milk Tea $6.50 (floral) plus Jasmine Silk Boba $1. His preference is 50% sweetness with less ice (5 pieces). I like to savor my drink over a few days. The jelly based bobas hold up well in the fridge (compared to the black sugar boba which harden). Fyi: 1) Satisfaction guaranteed! This encourages customers to try new offerings on the menu with no risk! In the past, I got 0% sweetness, and it didn't taste good so they gladly remade the drink for me! I noticed they now have a 10% sweetness (mini sugar) option which I want to try next time. 2) Loyalty program through Toast! Add your phone number at checkout to accrue loyalty points. 3) Good quality milks! They use Straus organic milk and Califia Farms almond and oat milks. Next time: I would like to try the Yuzu Matcha Silk Boba ($7.50). It doesn't allow no ice option which is why I didn't order it this time.

My daughter was craving boba. We walk in and there's a whiteboard that says "out of organic Straus…read moremilk. We only have whole milk." I'm thinking we're already starting off on the wrong foot paying for a nonorganic substitution. There is a screen with countdown times, which put our drink at 14 minutes to service. So we're away for 4 minutes and come back. Timer is still counting down. A few others have their drinks called out. Apparently our cold drink was warming there when we walked in. We finally go up since our timer says 'almost done'. And she hands us the drink that has been sitting there for 10 minutes while other names have been called. Why have a screen with a timer if it's not accurate or the employees aren't using it? She turns to remake my daughter's drink - I would have been happy with an apology, but no one offered it. I was shocked when she remade it, it took 30 seconds! Then why the long wait times? Something is not right with the customer experience for $8 drink and given there are a dozen boba shops on just that block, I don't think we'll be back.
