Café Vida makes the best breakfast. They have breakfast all day and all the offerings are good. I love the pancakes and eggs. Their Brown rice almond pancakes are gluten free and you can't tell. They have Chia, flax seeds and almonds, topped with fresh berries, and powdered sugar. They are served with with butter and maple syrup. Their Blueberry corn cakes are also great and different. They are fresh berries and powdered sugar, served with maple syrup and butter. You can add sides to all these items. The prices are fair, parking is okay, and the place is super clean and comfortable. They often have outdoor seating as well. The service is great. The entire staff is lovely and kind. They get your order right and they wait on you fast. Now it can get crowded and I don't think they take reservations, but the line moves at a fair pace. read more

This place was very popular on Saturday! So come early and put your name down. We got sat about 30 mins after, which isn't bad considering every table was full and there were 10+ people ahead of us. Drink: I couldn't decide between the spicy matcha or the turmeric latte and asked the server, he recommend the turmeric latte with almond milk. It did not disappoint! It was creamy, rich and flavorful. I highly recommend this. Food: I got the special, spicy chicken huevos Oaxaca! It was sooo good. Such a great brunch option in central downtown Culver City. I was here on Sunday with two friends for brunch. I was able to park in the Culver Parking Garage around the corner. The first hour of parking was free. We waited for about 20 minutes for a table. They won't seat you until everyone in your group is there. We went for a birthday brunch on a Sunday morning. We were seated outside right away, and the servers were gracious enough to move around umbrellas to assist with the sun in our eyes. Enjoyed a nice brunch here with a close friend after a killer workout at nearby The Yard gym. Needless to say, that kicked off an ideal Saturday because the weather was a perfect 75 with slight breeze and college football was on. When we arrived the cafe seemed extremely packed but luckily we were able to be seated quick due to having such a small party of 2, and after being seated we immediately received prompt service welcoming us to the restaurant and the waitress highlighting some of the specials on the menu. I went with the breakfast quesadilla (pictured) and my friend went with some of the most delicious looking pancakes topped with fruit. We both came to eat and cleared our plates. Even after we finished our meals we were able to sit and chat for a while and enjoy the overall ambiance of the cafe and the surrounding establishments and the service remained top tier - no rushing us to finish and leave, no attitudes, just very friendly staff and environment. I parked in the parking garage nearby for $21.75 and walked over. They do not validate unfortunately. Ambiance/Environment: It was poppin' when we visited around 15:00. The short rib was cooked perfectly, and the sauce had a spicy kick which made it more flavorful. 2. Smoked salmon brunch quesadilla (specials menu) - These were bigger and thicker than expected. It tasted as delicious as it looks. The salmon and avocado were fresh, the egg was cooked well, and the salad had a delicious dressing. 3. Onion rings (appetizer) - The onion rings were fried well. Don't forget to dip in the ranch or bbq sauce! 4. Double double burger (appetizer) - Absolutely mouth watering! It contained everything in an American burger .. but better! 5. Spiced green matcha chai latte - Of course, we also got coffee. Their latte art is sooo beautiful. The matcha did overpower the chai, which I didn't mind bc I don't like chai. 6. Cafe latte w/ vanilla - Shout out to the chef/barista for giving us an extra latte! The cafe latte wasn't too sweet; bitter with a touch of sweetness. 7. Seasonal mimosa flight: blood orange, hibiscus, passion fruit - The drinks are what we really came for. I ordered the mimosa flight again bc I enjoyed it so much last time. 8. Parking was a little confusing at first--we weren't sure where to park--but although they don't validate, it's inexpensive and the first hour is free. I finished my entire plate and was still hungry. That said, the chilaquiles were so good. The waitress warned me they were a bit spicy, but I would consider it a very low level of spice. I also tried some of my friend's blueberry corn cakes, and they were incredibly fluffy and delicious. We ordered a bottle for mimosas and shared it among the table. The waitress was very kind and even poured the mimosas for each of us, which was a nice touch. Everything on the menu sounded great, though I do wish they had pictures of the dishes. The blueberry was so fresh that the juice flowed out when my knife severed a corner. The fruit topping on the pancake complemented the already fruity content. I involuntarily shut my eyes as I savored each bite. The scramble was rather forgettable, but it's not a knock. The pancakes were just so incredible that everything paled in comparison. Staff to guest ratio was good and our attendant was knowledgeable and genuinely excited about the food; happy to make recommendations at our request.
