Cute little cafe in culver, they have outdoor and indoor seating. You go in order and they bring the food to your table.

Cute little casual eatery right outside the Helms Bakery area. If you want a sit down meal but don't want to spend too much money, this is a good choice. Most of the restaurants inside the Helms Bakery area are slightly pricier than Breakway. Small and cute dining room with semi self service - you order at the counter first and then you get your order when they call your number. We love their Shakshuka and Chicken sandwiches. Coffees are reasonably priced and decent too. Service is friendly and polite. Overall a great casual eatery!

Cozy food spot across from the Helms Design District with amazing friendly staff and service! I ordered the breakfast sandwich along with a seasonal iced coffee--both were excellent. The eggs were perfectly cooked, the bacon was thick and substantial, and everything was tied together with a delicious aioli. The soft bun paired beautifully with the fluffy scrambled eggs and the savory bite of the bacon. I've also tried their lunch, and the roasted potatoes are so good. Definitely a spot I'll keep coming back to! PS - they also have a punch card for beverages!

Hot Pumpkin Spice Latte & Sausage Breakfast Burrito

What to Get/Not to Get: The Salted Maple Matcha tasted healthy like drinking sweet grass. The hot Pumpkin Spice Latte is a must get option, and actually may have been strong with caffeine as I felt energetic. The Sausage Breakfast Burrito was subtle in flavor, so it may be hard to recommend for some. Customer Service: Very good. Pay first, and they'll bring your drinks/food to you after. Bus your own table after Price: Approximately $32.60, not including tip for 2 people Ambience: Indoor/Outdoor Seating. Good place to read and/or study too Overall: Good Experience

    BLAT with crispy potatoes
    Francis V.

We loved our food. I had the BLAT with crispy potatoes and my daughter had the breakfast burrito. Service was fast and the employees were really nice. I wasn't expecting our food to be ready so fast but it came out hot and fresh. There are plenty of tables for dine in, I saw a lot of people working while eating- I assume work or school because they had their laptops out. Not a loud place and very comfortable. Metered street parking, I didn't see a parking lot. Prices are reasonable.

Delicious burrito and friendly service. It has a family/local/neighborhood feel with the plates and delivery feeling authentic as if you're eating in your own living room.

Great food, good prices. Decent service. Our table was wobbly so I stuck a knife under one of the legs... I feel I shouldn't have had to. Their watercups tasted like dish soap. They'd run out of outdoor seating but that's not really their fault

BLAT with Turkey , absolutely delicious.
    Brad H.

I really enjoyed the BLAT sandwich. I had them add their smoked turkey to it. The avocado was extremely fresh and ripe, the tomato was perfect, the bread was toasted just right, and the potatoes with dill were divine. They were very fast for a to go meal.

    Jessica J.

Found this place on Google. Had good reviews so we figure we try it since we were near. Free parking lot next to the restaurant. I got the BLAT. It was good! Fresh ingredients. I get a free side, either potatoes or salad. I got the potatoes because the cashier said it was the most popular. Next time I'm gonna try the Shakauka. I would have gotten it if I would have known about it on the Yelp reviews. ---------------- You order first at counter then pick your own seats. Cashier gives you a number for your order. Server will bring your food to your table. You get your own napkins, drinking water, coffee lids, and to-go boxes. There is 1 restroom for both genders. Tables are very big for big groups but we had 4 people and had to combine tables.

Ambiance is amazing for family and couples. Music and vibes are good. Food came out quickly and tasted amazing. Have to come back again :) Get the burrito

My experience for lunch at this cafe was so so. We split 2 sandwiches, one was a pulled chicken with pesto on ciabatta; the other a turkey sandwich with alfalfa sprouts & avocado. For both sandwiches, the ciabatta bread was pretty flat, not crispy on the outside, and lacked flavor as well. Considering it's a $20 sandwich I expected a bit better. The pulled chicken was very very dry and then to compensate it was overly saturated in a mayo-y pesto. Not the best. The turkey sandwich was similarly bland. One thing I did really like was their side of crispy potatoes. They were super crisp on the outside and soft & fluffy inside. Perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of salt. Funny enough I think that was the star of the dish. You also have to bus your own dishes. Was not necessarily expecting that and especially considering 2 sandwiches and 2 coffees costs $50. They have limited seating both indoor and outdoor. The food did come out pretty quickly so I was grateful for that.

This is a very cute cafe I stopped in to grab a coffee after yoga. I got a regular vanilla latte with almond milks it was $7.48 well worth it and delicious. The menu is very limited so if you enjoy turkey bacon or meant substitute I wouldn't come but the coffee is good! And I couldn't get a croissant today but they looked delicious. The baristas were super friendly will for sure come back for the coffee specifically.

Jackson market as a whole in terms of ambiance, variety, taste definitely overtakes bay cities but if you're just talking about comparing food quality sand which to sand which it will be a tough TIE (it's not less) than bay cities. Bay cities is loaded and so is Jackson but bay cities is a little more juicier where the inside sandwich ingredients shine more and you can definitely taste each of the ingredients eg banana peppers meats deli cheese etc. Jackson market's Italian sub had harder bread but I could see like some would argue it's more balanced. It definitely is a little less juicy and even though there were complimentary banana peppers I hardly tasted it at all as it was sprinkled far and few. If you paid for an added topping eg. Jalepenos they were definitely generous with it. Tip: DO NOT get the French baguette toasted as it'll be too hard. The market is fun because it also offers wine selections ($20-$60), not a fun cheese selection like bay cities, pasta salad, bomb tiramisu, has an entire PIZZA OVEN in the back, fun canned drinks including GUAYABA (an aloe tasting like drink), pastries, and chips/snacks. Ambiance - the patio in the back is spacious and big. They don't allow you to bring a computer to work there and the WiFi and service is pretty bad there. Parking - street parking along residential homes 2 subs ($14.99/each), 2 drinks, 1 large chip ($4.95) came out to be around $44. Overall an amazing find. The 10/10 would come back & especially try the pizza. Revolutionary in food taste ? Probably not but revolutionary in enjoyability and spot find? 1000%. Happy munching !

I got the chai latte and a hummus bowl with falafel (though as I write this I can't remember if that was the actual menu name of the dish). It was delicious--the falafel was one of the best I've ever had taste wise, and a bit on the airy side instead of being super dense, which I appreciated. Sometimes falafel is too dang dry, and they really got it right. The hummus was phenomenal. I'm really such a sucker for a good, quality hummus and it was so creamy and the oil they topped it with was wonderful too. This location on Wilshire Blvd in Koreatown is the smallest of the three I've visited, with under 10 seats available. It's a compact shop, and most customers opt for takeout. It's a narrow shop, and most customers take their orders to-go. I've previously enjoyed the La Paradiso and La Toscana, with the La Paradiso being my personal favorite. For our first visit with our son, we asked the staff for recommendations, and they suggested either the Venice Beach (Turkey) or the New Yorker (Roast Beef). The staff was incredibly generous, offering a roast beef sample, which our son loved! We also appreciated them providing ice and straws for our water. We ordered the New Yorker ($19.00) with roast beef, porcini cream, tomato, and arugula. The sandwich was thoughtfully cut in half, perfect for sharing. The schiacciata bread boasts a crispy exterior and a soft, chewy interior, which beautifully complements the meats and cheeses. We opted to substitute the porcini cream for mozzarella, which was sliced into perfect bite-sized pieces and tasted incredibly fresh. The roast beef was thinly sliced and tender, the tomatoes were fresh and sliced to perfection, and the arugula added a delightful peppery crunch. It's a well-balanced sandwich and one of the best in LA. We would definitely order it again. A big thank you to the female staff member who expertly cut the meat and offered samples, assisting us in making the perfect choice for my son's sandwich.
