We had an okay experience here. The service gets 5 stars because the employees we encountered were really friendly and helpful. The dining area was clean and well maintained. The reduction in stars comes from the pricing and the lack of vanilla ice cream for shakes.

I was craving a burger so i ordered from Burger Lounge as they have been so consistent. They always deliver a great burger. I went with the Turkey Burger with cheese again. I Definitely recommend them!

Got here around 7pm on Saturday night and they seemed really busy with takeout orders so we just had to wait a little bit. Once our orders were taken it was fairly quick. The employees were very nice and attentive which was great! The burgers were good, the fries were good, and the onion rings were good! I'd come back, it was clean and tasty. Oh and free refills on the fountain drinks!

The Famous Sandwich (done WRONG)! At least according my taste buds. It was flavored like no other bbq pork sandwich I've ever had, and not in the positive regard... it was like the rib sandwich from McDonald's had some make up and fake eyelashes put on. It was not pulled pork - more like a pork nugget with a bitter aftertaste. The strawberry shake was refreshing and light. Really enjoyed the creamy, fruity, and sweet delight. The onion rings were so incredibly crunchy, and the onion didn't pull out of the breading - which was fantastically appreciated. However, like other reviews say, the extra cost for a large is NOT worth it! It's the same amount!

This burger hit the spot post airplane / pre movie. Would've liked if it was a tad less cooked + couldn't really taste the sauce on it so would recommend getting an extra side but a good easy meal. They also have the option to get half onion rings and half fries. It was great for a casual dinner. Order at counter vibe

What I got. False advertising
Stan S.

When "large" isn't large. We've often enjoyed Burger Lounge, but this recent order was a disappointment. What was labeled as a "large" onion rings was a far cry from what's shown--and definitely not the generous portions we've received in the past. Compare the attached pictures: what they advertise as a large is nowhere near what we actually received. Ordering through Uber Eats meant the platform couldn't help, leaving us with no resolution or refund. Ultimately, this feels like either false advertising or a significant drop in quality control. Our advice: order the regular size, since the "large" just isn't worth it. Hopefully, Burger Lounge will take responsibility and make this right for future customers.

Had a few tasty well made burgers delivered along with a half fries/onion rings order. The service was very fast and packaging totally worked. I'll order from them again

Ancient Grain Burger, vegan, delicious!
J Marshall S.

Burger Lounge: Plant Power, As a dedicated vegan, I'm always on the hunt for that perfect plant-based burger, a culinary creation that transcends the ordinary and delivers a truly satisfying experience. And let me tell you, Burger Lounge's Ancient Grain Burger has absolutely conquered that quest. For those of you who haven't yet had the pleasure, picture this: a hearty, house-made patty, crafted from a symphony of ancient grains and vegetables, grilled to a beautiful, slightly crisp exterior, while the inside remains tender and flavorful. You have the delightful choice of either classic cheddar or, for those of us who embrace the plant-based life, a creamy, melt-in-your-mouth vegan cheddar that oozes with savory goodness. The first bite is an explosion of textures and tastes. The subtle nuttiness of the grains dances on your tongue, mingling with the earthy sweetness of the vegetables. Each ingredient sings in perfect harmony, creating a flavor profile that is both complex and deeply comforting. It's a burger that satisfies on every level, leaving you feeling nourished and utterly content. My recent experiences at Burger Lounge in Marina del Rey, California, were nothing short of exceptional. In fact, I found myself drawn back not once, not twice, but three times in one week (Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday) to savor this incredible creation, thanks to their special "Inflation Fighter" pricing. This promotion, which offered the Ancient Grain Burger (or the Impossible Lounge Burger) for a mere $9.07 until April 6th, was a true gift. And speaking of gifts, I want to extend my sincere gratitude to Burger Lounge Management for offering this special. As someone who remembers a time when senior discounts were a common courtesy at restaurants, a gesture that truly helped those on a fixed income, I deeply appreciate this commitment to affordability. It's a rare and welcome sight in today's world, and I sincerely hope that restaurants will reconsider offering senior discounts in the future, especially for senior vegans like myself. My visits to Burger Lounge were made even more memorable by the exceptional service I received. I want to offer a special shout-out to Flor and Alex, whose warm smiles and attentive service made me feel like a valued guest. And to Eusebio, the culinary maestro in the kitchen, thank you for crafting such a magnificent burger! Your skill and passion truly shine through in every delicious bite. To my fellow vegans, and to anyone seeking a truly exceptional burger experience, I urge you to try the Ancient Grain Burger at Burger Lounge. It's a celebration of plant-based goodness, a testament to the power of fresh, flavorful ingredients, and a reminder that fast food can be both delicious and nourishing. P.S. Burger Lounge, please, more senior discounts for senior vegans in the future! April 7th, 2025 J Marshall Schoonover

Anyone know if this location will reopen? I certainly hope so!

They are open for business

Deez burgers good?

I didn't think so. They were really dry. But there were quite a few customers early on a Saturday, so others might think differently.

Since I was specifically craving a smash burger, I decided to give it a try. The good news? The food was exactly what I came for. The smash burger was juicy, flavorful, and cooked right. The fries were good, too. And as a bonus, they had Cherry Coke Zero -- which is surprisingly hard to find these days. For about $15 including the drink, I thought the price was completely fair for Venice. So why am I talking about 4.9 stars? Because my wife ordered lunch from the Italian place right next door. That's when an interesting comparison happened. I waited about 15-20 minutes for my order. When it was ready, I got up and picked it up myself. The burger came in a takeout container. After I finished eating, I threw everything away myself. Meanwhile, my wife received her food in about five minutes. It was served on a real plate. Someone brought it to the table. Later, a staff member came by to ask if everything tasted good and if she needed anything else. The funny part? She paid only a few dollars more than I did. Both of us left the highest tip option the terminal offered because we appreciated the effort and wanted to support local businesses. And that's exactly when it clicked. Burger Spot serves a very good burger. In fact, I'd happily come back. The food deserves the reputation. But when the restaurant next door delivers a noticeably better overall experience for almost the same money, the difference becomes impossible not to notice. So yes, I'm still giving Burger Spot 5 stars. The burger was good. The fries were good. The price was fair. But if the owners ever wonder what separates 4.9 from a perfect 5.0, they don't need to look very far. Just look at the neighbors. No hard feelings -- that's simply what I experienced as a customer. And if Burger Spot matches its service to the quality of its food, they'll have something truly special.

It's clear they've put intentional effort into improving this week, as service was a highlight for us. Our waiter, Sunny, was so polite, quick, and communicative. He had a lot of tables to cover, as it was a packed and chaotic room during the Mexico vs. Ecuador game last night. The N17 burger and fries (both the regular shoe string fries and sweet potato fries) were fantastic! Both were cooked just right, very flavorful, and the fries were nice and crispy. The atmosphere and design of the restaurant in front isn't your typical "sports bar" - it feels more like a cute, sunny brunch restaurant with high-quality screens for sports viewing - but the clientele feels just like any other sports bar would :) It was very lively and fun to watch with others last night. For the World Cup, they've opened up their event space in the back which is not set up like a typical restaurant - but it was great for viewing! The screens are HUGE and very high-quality.

This place has become a mandatory stop whenever I'm in the area, and for good reason. Burgers, fries, and soft serve. Three of life's simpler pleasures, all under one roof. Sometimes you don't need an elaborate menu or a complicated concept. Just do a few things exceptionally well and give people a reason to keep coming back. Another bonus is the convenience of ordering ahead through their app. It's a nice touch, especially when you're on the go and want to make a quick food stop without disrupting your day. But Heavy Handed is also the only place that also serves soft-serve ice cream (with optional glaze), so as a full meal experience, this is where they win. That, and, of course, their very comfy outdoor dining. One standout about their burgers, is they don't drown the patty in sodium, so you get more of the real flavor. So while this isn't my #1 burger, it is for my wife. Fries are good, but I haven't had the opportunity to try their loaded ones (I guess their equivalent of In n Out animal fries?), so that is something I'm looking forward to trying one day. A little on the pricey side if you're comparing strictly burgers, but given the location and atmosphere, it's a definitely worth a try for newcomers.
