I was in need of a fix before work this morning. I stopped by the Culver City crossroads and decided to give a try to Mom's list. I got their breakfast wrap. It's solidly good. I would have taken a picture, but it was gone before I realized I should have ! The service is also very good. The lady at the counter cleaned my table before leaving the food (I didn't see any problems with the table to start with) and then brought me a glass of water (which I didn't ask for). Super! Stopped in Moms List for lunch. Tried the classic mom's burger combo with chips instead of fries and an Arnold Palmer. Ordering via the screen was fine. I am not sure if there was an alternate option but if there was you wouldn't know it. I can say the prices for the combo weren't bad except that any alterations to the burger would cause the price for this burger to skyrocket. Extra sauce $, extra topping $. A few reviews referred to the drinks being small. They are and they do need ice. Which I can see why they may not add a lot of ice when you have such a small drink. The Arnold Palmer had a minty flavor to it. Not my kind of AP I'm used to. The burger itself was okay. I understand the organic of the place and concept. But the burger was just okay. The chips were great. I tried my friend's fries and the homemade ketchup. Again, just okay. The young lady at the counter and wiping tables and seemingly hosting was great. Came in a few nights ago and ordered two of the jalapeño burgers (can't remember the menu name off hand) along with the fries and the Japanese sweet potato chips. Every single thing was beyond fantastic. And after speaking to Zee (the owner & a total sweetheart of a guy ) we learned he sources literally everything locally even down to their yellowish green tinted buns (he let us know the secret ingredient in the bread, it's turmeric that give it its flavor and color.) Overall this is quite possibly the best burger I've ever had in LA. Do NOT skip over this spot, if you do you're really missing out. Forced to go back by a friend who said, it can't be that bad. Well, it just gets worse. These hamburgers and fries are just terrible. The buns have some sort of yellow stuff in them. You ask for rare and you get well done. The fries are dry and left out too long. Their shakes are nothing more than fine. Jack in the Box makes better. The place is cute, but this time there was wrappers on the floor and no one to clean it up. The bathrooms were fine. Parking is okay. I will never go here again and I suggest you stay away. It is over priced food that is just not even close to good and my friend felt so bad as she tossed her burger in the trash. They also have a hard time leaving off stuff when you clearly say the words, "without." They really need be shunned. read more

I have a major complaint about this place... I can't give it 6 out of 5 stars! My goodness, this is one of the best burger places I've eaten at. I don't say this about many burger places but when I've bitten into their burger, it felt like I was biting into a fresh homemade burger. It was so good! They also give you a decent amount of fries and that alone is enough to make you full. Their ingredients are great quality, it tastes very fresh. The best part, it's affordable. I really like the atmosphere of the restaurant, it was very welcoming and open. Service was impeccable! I have to give a shoutout to Trey (Tray?) who was the server and cashier, really stellar guy giving stellar service. He explained very well the kind of food Mom's List is going for. He was also very considerate as he asked me if I had food allergies. He said they put mint in their iced tea, also good. The fact he mentioned that shows he cares for his patrons, which I don't think many restaurant servers do. This place deserves to be packed so please do try their delicious burgers and other items. Had a gals' night catch-up at this delish burger spot. The service was very friendly & patient as we looked over all the yummy possibilities. This burger spot sits in a busy strip mall in Culver City. I wanted to try it because I am always down for a good burger. You order from a kiosk or a person and you can also buy small, novelty grocery items in store. The food itself reminded me of a solid "hood" burger with a 50% mark up. The atmosphere is very homey in front (back? Whatever the parking lot side is), the space and seating extends all the way through the building and is a bit odd due to the shape of the space. I feel so badly that I didn't include any photos in this review!! It was literally a last-minute pivot. Plus our food was so good that we inhaled it too fast for me to take photos!! Boyfriend and I were actually headed to our old stalwart Jersey Mike's for a quick meal before I had to go teach a dance class in Culver City. We were walking up and saw the menu signs outside of this restaurant and it was enough to entice us in to order. The service was friendly and quick, and we were able to get a cozy table inside with no trouble at all. We enjoyed our freshly-made burgers and a very generous order of fries, which we shared. I think Mom's is pretty new. We had never noticed it and went there for burgers, fries and salad. It is all great. There is nothing not to like. You can even get real cheese and not cheap cheese food. I love their pepper jack cheese and it is organic. Their burgers are made to order. We ate there and took some stuff home for our daughter to pick up. She loved it as well and she is so picky. We also love their fries and salad. They have fries with all sorts of stuff on them. Messy Mama Fries are fresh-cut fries with two beef patties, signature house sauce, house-made ketchup, fresh Jalapeños, and golden crispy onions. The onions are great. I usually hate ketchup, but this was great and they have other sauces as well, all made there and you can take some home. The place is ever so clean and the service is great. The prices are fair. Was in the area, came in to try the burger. The vibe was calming and I felt so comfortable. self serve kiosk was easy to manage, there was a guy there to answer any questions. He let me taste their bread and butter pickles because im a dill gurl. I loved the taste! Nicely brined. I ordered the sweet and spicy burger lettuce wrapped with fresh cut fries, simple and sweet. My girlfriend and I came to Mom's List in Culver City and were blown away. The food was fresh, delicious, and made with ingredients we actually feel good about eating. Decided to try Mom's list burgers as I drove by several Other times. It was a great choice. Very friendly service, clean setting and super clean ingredients. I had the big mama which is 3 patties but patties are 2oz so it wasn't that big. Sauce, pickles and the bun were great compliments. The note in the bag was awesome. We've been to Mom's List twice. We spoke with the owner (Ziad) both times. He was very nice and obviously committed to transparency and using high quality ingredients. The food is excellent. We've had the Big Mama Burger, Mom's "The OG" Burger, Mom's Philly Fries, Mom's Breakfast Wrap, the Surfer Mom, and the chocolate shake. Both of the burgers were delicious, the quality of the beef really stood out and the buns were incredible. The fries were great - fresh cut, cooked perfectly and with ample toppings. The breakfast wrap was very good, the filling was flavorful and the homemade ketchup was delicious. The Surfer Mom was a hit - the salmon was of very good quality, the portion was generous and the rest of the ingredients were great too. The chocolate shake was one of the best shakes we've ever had. I honestly wasn't headed here, but here I am after heading to lunch and passing their sidewalk board that coaxed me in with a great looking burger in the picture. I was greeted by the manager or owner it seems, who showed me how to place an order on their touchscreen (they did also have a friendly cashier who was more than willing to help). All burgers are made fresh with grass-fed organic beef, fresh ingredients, buns and genuine care. I ordered the Messy Mama which is a damn tasty burger. Topped with house made pickles (great taste and crunch), homemade ketchup & sauce. Decent price since it a double patty burger ($12.95) and organic! The burger seems a bit small, but in all honesty it's perfect! Filled me up and tasted great! Though slightly an odd name, it all makes sense once you taste the fresh ingredients, just like mom ran to the store for the freshest product and made you a homemade burger to welcome you home! My order was delivered to me in under five minutes and the kind manager sent over some of their homemade French fries to accompany my burger gratis (since I'm not normally a regular fry gal I didn't order them) but they were pretty good (In & Out style freshly cut potatoes and fried) served with a side of their homemade ketchup. I was excited to try a new burger place in the neighborhood and ordered the sweet & spicy burger and some fries. The size of the burger was fine for me but I didn't love the flavor. I don't know how to describe it. It just didn't taste like a burger and the pickles weren't sweet and didn't have much flavor. The fries weren't bad and the home made ketchup was quite good but all in all seems like they're aiming for healthy over flavorful so not quite what I was looking for. All of which can be customized with different add-ons to suit your taste. The beef is organic grass fed from Eel River Farms. I stopped by Mom's List tonight because I was craving a burger and have trying to "eat only at mom and pop places." I got the Classic which had two patties, cheese, homemade pickles, and lettuce. The restaurant itself is cute. I checked out the various selfies, pictures, and small market selection while I waited for my food. The owner checked in with me pretty quickly to get my name, as did another woman who was running orders. It took a little while for my food to come out, maybe 15 minutes, but everyone in the kitchen was clearly working to push orders through. As a thank you for my patience, they threw in some fries on the house. The burger was great! Exactly what I was wanting, and I loved the house pickles! Personally, I thought the burger was a little small even though I got a double. I enjoyed every bite but I did end up leaving still a little hungry. Would I return to this spot? Yes, but not very often. Price was a little high for me although I understand why. The ingredients were top tier. Maybe if the burger was slightly bigger or if the price was a little more affordable I would be a regular here.
