    Cajun shrimp salad
    Beatrice V.

Met up with some ladies here for dinner! We made a reservation in advance. This place was popping when we arrived, super busy. It's up above the culver steps. Pretty twinkle lights throughout, a nice ambiance. You can park in the lot right ahead of it and they validate parking so you get 2 hours free. Huge restaurant inside, lots of seating. Seating in the outdoor patio as well. There's even a grand piano inside, so I imagine they have performances occasionally here too. I asked the waitress what she recommended between the Asian chicken salad and the Cajun shrimp salad. She said the Cajun shrimp so I went with that. It's not inexpensive at $28. It has a nice presentation! It was good and had a nice mix of ingredients, hazelnuts, orange, and Cajun-spiced shrimp. Decent amount of shrimp on the salad but not sure it's worth nearly $30. My friend got the Asian chicken salad and the portion was significantly larger and it was cheaper. Curious to have tried that one out. We also got the chips & guac which were decent but the guac was a little too on the creamy side for me. Staff was diligent at refilling waters etc but they also had an air of hoity-toityness. I did like the vibe of the restaurant though. Good for business meals or a date night or meeting up with friends.

Grey Goose Martini with Blue Cheese stuffed olives.

It was a beautiful day in L.A. and a rooftop lunch with a view was the perfect way to spend a Saturday. I was joined by three beautiful ladies - Laurel, Lynn, & Te-See. Our server was a delightful girl named Cassidy. She took good care of us and had a great personality. We started with cocktails to toast our friendship: It's Giving-Paloma, Main Character (a riff on an espresso martini enhanced with vanilla syrup), Inverted Vesper (a twist on the classic with elderflower & grapefruit oil), and a Grey Goose Martini dry with Blue Cheese stuffed olives (for me of course). The menu contains lots of mouthwatering options. Our order consisted of: Hot Bread, Meatballs, Smoked Bacon & Pineapple Pizza, Spicy Vodka Pasta, House Salad, Caesar Salad, & two sides of Fries. I highly recommend starting your meal with the Hot Bread, which is baked in a wood-fired oven. It's pizza dough stuffed with mozzarella and topped with a light marinara. It is addicting. The meatballs were served on a bed of whipped ricotta and topped with marinara and shaved Reggiano. The House Salad was loaded with fresh veggies and came with a mustard vinaigrette. The handmade rigatoni was al dente and the spicy vodka sauce had a good flavor. It could have been spicier but it was still delish. Lynn said the Smoked Bacon & Pineapple Pizza was the best "Hawaiian" pizza she's had because it contained fresh pineapple and crispy smoked bacon. The fries were yummy and perfectly cooked. The vibe on the rooftop was chill and the view was lovely. (I was happy to see a well-mannered dog sitting at the table nearby.) The décor inside is also quite nice with sleek wood paneling and an open kitchen. A commercial for Ariana Grande's Cloud perfume was being filmed down in the courtyard the day of our visit. We got to see a parade of bubbles floating by. It was entertaining and a nice ending to our wonderful get-together. *Validated parking in the structure for the Culver Steps.

    Fully assembled cheeseburger. Perfectly cooked.

I love Laurel Grill. The ambience, the vibe, the service and most important the food. Everything about this restaurant is amazing. We started off with cocktails, chips and guac and the spicy tuna tempura roll which I would highly recommend. The martinis generously poured and delicious. My cheeseburger was perfectly cooked and the fries were some of my favorite ever. My girlfriend got the lemon pasta and added shrimp and it was delicious. And for dessert do not skip their chocolate cake. Can't wait to go back!

    Delicious lunch on the balcony!

I had such a wonderful lunch here with fabulous Yelp friends, Laurel, Nikki & Te-see. It was a beautiful day so we opted to sit on the balcony overlooking Culver City shops. The interior of the restaurant is stunning with a grand piano, fireplace, asymmetrical angles and a wrap around bar. I'm sure it's romantic at night. I was also impressed that they have Toto toilets with all the gadgets and bidets! Cassidy, our server, greeted us right away and took our drink orders: Inverted Vesper, Paloma, Main Character (espresso martini with vanilla), and a dry Grey Goose martini with blue cheese olives. The martinis were bold, yet smooth while the Paloma was not strong, but refreshing. We enjoyed every dish we got: Hot Bread from Wood Fired Oven- their soft pizza dough stuffed with mozzarella and topped with a little tomato, basil and oregano. A great starter for two. Caesar Salad was evenly dressed over the fresh romaine and topped with house made croutons and shaved Reggiano. Nikki & Te-see got the house salad and that looked fresh and delicious too. Meatballs - came with 3 generous sized meatballs baked in marinara sauce and served over whipped ricotta. Very juicy and flavorful. Smoked Bacon & Pineapple Pizza- their version of Hawaiian pizza was the best I've had! Love that they use crispy, smoked bacon instead of Canadian bacon and FRESH pineapple, as opposed to canned! I asked for BBQ sauce on the side and thought it was perfect as is! The crust was thin too, just the way I like it. Spicy Vodka with house-made rigatoni- I couldn't resist stealing a couple bites. The pasta was al dente, the sauce wasn't really spicy but it was good. Cassidy took great care of us and even wished our friends a happy birthday. Just kind of wished she brought out a birthday dessert! There is a parking structure below the restaurant and they validate.

Came in with my cousin and decided to grab a bite before we called in a night. The lighting and ambiance of this spot is awesome. Went ahead and ordered the chicken Caesar salad with extra dressing which was a 9/10. Ordered a semi Shirley Temple with a ginger ale mix that was light and tasty. To close out ordered the single best slice of apple pie I've ever had since my duration on this planet! You could taste every little ounce of butter and God only knows what they put in that sauce! Last and certainly not least the CSA for customer service all star of this experience was server Victor-pictured. I would highly recommend this spot, and if you're lucky you'll get Victor as your server. What a true gentleman.

Wow--such a great spot! My friend and I stopped by Saturday night for drinks and were very well taken care of. The place has an amazing vibe--lively yet relaxed, with lots of people clearly enjoying themselves. Since we had already eaten, we grabbed seats at the bar. Our bartender, Santana, was fantastic and made us the "101 South" and "It's Giving Paloma," both of which were great. We also ordered the cheesesteak egg rolls super tasty! I can't wait to come back for a full dinner because everything we saw coming out of the kitchen looked incredible.

We came in on a Thursday night and it was insanely slammed but 30 min wait for those wanting a table. My friend and I sat on the only seats available the low table by the bar to have some drinks and apps. The fires from the kitchen give it such a cozy feel. I want to try so many things off this menu but will return with my husband for a date night! The outside had fire pits with happy people having drinks. We had the sourdough baked Brie bread bowl, meatballs and crudo. Everything was SO good and our order came very fast. Just a wonderful place for ladies' night or date night or a group you name it. Will definitely return soon to start checking off more bread items baked by the fire and the charcoal oven entrees!

First off, I want to say the ambiance is out of this world and truly perfect. The second we stepped into the restaurant, it felt warm and welcoming. Kimberly and Isabella, the bartenders who also served us, were amazing throughout our entire dine-in experience and provided excellent service. Now to the food. We started with the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls, which were delicious. For the main course, the vodka pasta was truly the bomb. The broccolini was also flavorful and tasty with a smoky, sweet, and savory balance. The pizza I had was next level, a perfect combination of flavors with bacon, pineapple, and BBQ sauce. Everything about the experience was just right. I will definitely be returning and encourage anyone in the area to give this restaurant a try. I give it my highest recommendation.

Beautiful decor! The ambiance is excellent. Probably the best part about this restaurant. The service is exceptional as well. I ordered the vodka pasta and some asparagus. Although both dishes are fairly simple, they were both delicious and exactly what I was craving. Definitely pricy but the inside is beautiful.

We had a really nice experience overall at Laurel Grill in Culver City. It was a busy Friday night, and the wait was about 45 minutes, which felt pretty reasonable given how packed it was. The food definitely made it worth it. We ordered the salmon and the spicy vodka pasta, and both dishes were delicious well-prepared, flavorful, and satisfying. The only downside was the seating. We were placed right in the corner near the entrance, and there was someone waiting for a table standing very close by, right next to me, which made the space feel a bit cramped and less comfortable than we would have liked. That said, the quality of the food and the overall vibe were great. With a bit more attention to seating, this would easily be a top-tier experience. Especially because of the location. I live 10 minutes away and it is 2nd floor of the steps so it's pretty nice.

Such a vibey spot. Everything we got an shared: - Margherita pizza - ribs - bolognese - rigatoni - banana cream pie - olive cake I'd get all of these again except the pizza. It wasn't bad, I just have better Marg pizza spots

It's our 4th time here. We really enjoyed it the 1st time. However the 2nd time wasn't as good for me. But I'm glad we came back as our 3rd and 4th was wonderful again! We came for lunch to celebrate a birthday which I have noted in the reservation. However, unlike other restaurants, there was no acknowledgement of it. Nada at all! They were also initially sitting us at a dark side of the restaurant and we had to request to be moved to a brighter and "happier" side. It was lunch on a nice sunny day so we want to see some sunshine. There was some resistance too about our request, but they finally gave us the table they were reserving for a "just in case" party. So as you can see, there is much to be desired when it comes to service. At least from the hostesses' side. However, I want to say that our server is really super nice and attentive! So she has more than made up for it. Hence still the 4 star! The Laurel House salad is fresh and refreshing. Hamachi crudo is fresh and delish, which we always enjoy here. We also got the ribeye. Its presentation isn't so good, but it was nicely cooked and flavorful! For sides we had the fries and wild rice. Nothing special about the fries but enjoyed the wild rice! We also had the pineapple pizza which we all enjoyed! For a special occasion, I'd recommend you celebrate somewhere else, where they will at least do something extra. Not necessarily free dessert, but at least an acknowledgment or a simple card. Just a little something for the celebration. Nothing much but it does make a big difference.

The location has a spacious area filled with a variety of wine options. I picked a Bourgogne Chardonnay from France ($36). We came on a late Monday afternoon and, lucky for us, they have a bar special on Mondays: No corkage fee! They also have Happy Hour-- Monday to Friday from 3-6pm. The Chardonnay was divine! I would totally return and purchase another bottle. We also ordered a charcuterie board and took advantage of their happy hour special for $20 (pick two-- one cheese and one meat). We opted for the 'Humboldt Fog' Chèvre as our cheese option and the Bresaola for our meat option. Both were delicious, but the chèvre was truly exquisite. We shared one charcuterie board with five people and it was enough; however if you're on the hungry side, I suggest two charcuterie boards for five or six people. In addition to meat and cheese, it comes with crackers, some pickled veggies, onion jam, candied nuts, whole grain Dijon, and apple slices. On the left side of the venue you have your variety of wine options; on the right side, there's the bar and some tables, plus a small area with other snacks for purchase that pair nicely with wine or beer. They even sell the Torres truffle chips! My only complaint is the service, unfortunately. The lady at the cashier was super friendly, however the bar tender was not so welcoming. When he came over to our table to open our wine bottle, he didn't greet us, smile, or say anything. He took our bottle and opened it and then asked who was going to taste. Not sure if he thought we didn't speak English since we were speaking another language when he came to our table, but overall, we all noticed his attitude and thought it was rather unwelcoming. Because of this experience, I rate this place a 4/5, however, everything else was great!

Well, Dine LA is happening and what better way than to try places you've been eyeing. I've heard good things about this place from friends that's been numerous of times and each visit was always amazing. Of course as it's part of Dine LA, it was a given to come and try this place for the first time. We had a reservation on a Friday night which was the start of Dine LA and let me say, this place was packed. Every single tables inside and out was utilized. They've made a name for themselves if it was that lively. Good on their part. It wasn't a long wait till our table was ready. We got seated on the patio side just along the street. Covered canopy with both hi top tables and standard tables. Positive side, there were loads of heat lamps as well as heated fireplaces separating pretty much all the tables. Gotta keep everyone warm during our LA winter. Inside is quite small compared to the seating outdoor with only a few tables. As Dine LA was happening, they offered a three course meal for 45.00 per person. If you weren't interested in that, their regular menu does offer loads of amazing dishes as well. We started off a bottle of their French Pinot which was quite nice. Not too strong and very smooth. Nice pair for dinner. Service was excellent and was taken good care by our waitress which I didn't get her name. She was great and very friendly. Dine LA Menu Starters -Soupe a l'oignon (French onion soup) melted Gruyère and brioche croutons -Ahi tuna tartare- avocado, balsamic reduction and spicy Cajun chips -Escargot a l'ail- 1/2 dozen escargot in garlic and parsley butter Mains -Boeuf Bourguignon- slow roasted beef stew with creamy potatoes puree in red wine sauce -Coq au Vin- braised chicken leg with glazed carrots, pearl onions and bordelaise sauce -Moules Frites (Mussels and fries)- PEI mussels in bisque sauce with garlic, Chablis, brandy Dessert -Crème brûlée- vanilla bean and turbinando sugar -Apple tarte tatin- caramelized apples with puff pastry dough and caramel sauce -Profiteroles- choux dough filled with vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce and roasted almonds. We each went with one of the starters. The French onion soup was perfect. The broth with the melted cheese, it was amazing. The flavors of everything paired together were perfect. Tuna tartare was great. The seasoning with the glaze and chips to paired with was great. Also fish was perfect and fresh. Lastly the escargot. If this doesn't scream French, I didn't know what does. I've had it at other restaurants and I can say this was amazing. The garlic sauce was perfect. Snails had a nice taste to it and quite tasty. Not tough at all. Everything was excellent. Mains, the boeuf Bourguignon was tasty. Nice chunks of beef with a nice thick sauce and pared with mashed potatoes. Sauce was excellent and not too strong. And the mussels, which was a hefty portion. The sauce which was like a lobster bisque was excellent. I'm use to a wine broth but the bisque was amazing. Nice meaty mussels cooked perfectly. We had to order a side of baguette for the bisque. Dessert, the profiteroles which I highly recommend. Two amazing pieces of puffed pastries filled with vanilla ice cream and topped with chocolate sauce. Mouthwatering at its best. And lastly the apple tarte, the right amount of sweetness and baked to perfection also served with ice cream. I can say that my first time here was amazing. The service, the food and everything was amazing. Not only dinner, they're also offering Dine LA for lunch. Regardless, it's going to be a priority to come back for another meal. The full menu looked amazing. Food was delicious and everyone left full and satisfied. Oh, there's some street parking if you could find them but loads of parking structures nearby.

I was easy street parking across the street and the restaurant has nice indoor and outdoor seating. For starter I ordered crab cakes and mussels with truffles & mushrooms. From dine LA menu, I ordered escargot cooked with garlic and parsley butter, I wish they just cook with traditional way, I did not like that taste of parsley in it. Boeuf Bourguignon was the main entree and I had a high hope for it since I really miss eating it. When it arrived the portion was small. It tasted no where close to authentic. I was really disappointed. Crème Brûlée was acceptable. It could be a nice hang out spot with friends for happy hour and live music but do not expect authentic French food.

I was a little concerned about some of the reviews but we had such a wonderful experience. A lot of the negative reviews had to do with customer service, and our experience was quite the opposite. We were served everything quickly and attentively, and our main server gave great recommendations and apologized for "waits" when there wasn't even a wait! After we were seated, we asked to be moved to the pretty spacious table next to the large window, and they were happy to accommodate. Giving us a memorable experience seemed to be very important to all of the staff. Drinks - I fell in love with the Dillinger (Old Forrester, Mexican corn whiskey, licor de elote). It tasted like a slightly sweet kettle corn old fashioned. My husband actually ordered it, and traded drinks with me because I loved it so much. Food - We ordered the scallop crudo to share, the house baguette, and French onion soup to share. I'm glad we ordered the scallops and the strawberry pairing was unexpected and interesting. My personal fave was the soup, which our servers kindly split into 2 tureens for us to share (soup is pretty hard to share otherwise, amirite?) It was so delicious that I found myself peeling the extra cheese from the bowl. For mains, I went with the Tagiatelle and husband ordered the steak frites. While the pasta was delicious and rich with flavor, the wagyu was one of the juiciest, most tender and well-seasoned steaks I've had in a while and I'm not even a big steak/red meat lady. Paul just ordered better than me overall! The live jazz band added even more to the beautiful ambiance. You wouldn't be out of place dressing fancy like we did, or even getting up to dance! There is also a bar/lounge upstairs and a bar on the 1st floor if you wanted to enjoy the music longer or have a nightcap.

We came in for NYE event and the second seating gave us our table for the entire night. To be honest the food wasn't great but service was top notch. I liked the scallop risotto but other dishes were mediocre at best. The NYE event was fun and lively though. We'd come back here for drinks and hanging out but not the food!
