Arth fried ice cream
Martin T.

LOVED this Indian fusion spot. Everything on the menu looks (and was) delicious, so thank you to our awesome waiter for helping us choose food for a party of three. It also has a cool bar and vibe inside - will definitely be back for drinks. Now, back to the food, here's everything we got (and loved): - tikka tacos - signature butter chicken (one of the best I've had) - sexy fries - masala cheese naan (a little spicy) - rosemary garlic naan - pistachio lamb chops - saffron rice Dessert - all were amazing, but order of favorite for us: 1 - Gulab jamun 2 - Arth fried ice cream 3 - mango rasmalai

Honestly, best butter chicken in LA. Also amazing samosas, other appetizers, and garlic naan. Slightly on the pricier side, as the entree doesn't come with rice nor naan, but it's so worth it for the absolute best Indian on the westside. Arth is elevated Indian dining and is beautiful for a date spot. The adjacent lot provides one hour of free parking, so take advantage of that. Lovely outdoor patio seating and cozy, well-appointed interior.

This place was such a cute find. The service was amazing and everyone was so warm and welcoming. The spicy marg was so good, I am still thinking about it. The pav bhaji and golgappe were both absolutely delicious. I still dream about this meal. Truly such a wonderful spot and I would recommend it to everyone!

Arth recently hosted friends and I for a joint celebration and overall enjoyed the nice ambiance, amazing cocktails, and good cuisine! Their staff did an excellent job communicating and checking in on us through out our dinner. Their cocktails seemed to be the shared favorite highlight of the meal from the table. I remember looking around and seeing like 6 of the same cocktail; Arth's Jal Jeera sunrise. In my best attempt at describing the consuming experience; its flavor and texture was similar to a pleasantly boozy mango lassi. Kindly sweet and a generous serving. I personally also loved their Mire meets Pedro. I love spicy cocktails with a kick and this one definitely had some horsepower. It's zingy sip had a good chunky sliced Jalapeño slightly charred in the drink. it was paired with a Tajin rim, which added another spicy element to mix with the Latinesque liquors of Mezcal/reposado tequila.. it was outstanding. We had gone family style on the food and enjoyed the appetizers (pictured) most! They were lovely bites and their sexy fries especially were a hit at our table! We also had some entrees and while the flavor was good in the butter chicken and masala plates we ordered I do wish we had it more spicy. There's no spice meter offered on the menu but certainly would have enjoyed the opportunity. Nevertheless our experience was very good. Their staff was on top of everything and all else went very well!

Paneer tacos Avocado Bhel

Such a fun happy hour! The paneer tacos and avocado bhel were delicious! They were pretty mild but packed flavor. The tacos were pretty big. Me and my partner shared the three tacos (double tortillas) and the bhel. He's Indian and he loves aarth lol We had one of the happy hour cocktails. Would probably try a different cocktail for the normal menu. We want to go to the next Bollywood trivia night to meet the culver desi crowd!

The place looks very nice loved the outside mural. The inside was nice they had a painting event going on so we sat outside. Service was great as well. We ordered pani puri which was not the greatest. Pani was very sour the stuffing was tasteless Paneer Kati roll was bad. It was definitely one the worst Kati roll I have tried. All they did was take the paneer tika masla and wrapped it Naan. Nice try but that's not called a Kati roll. This one I was highly disappointed in. However the Avacado bhel was good. Had some decent flavors. This one i would recommend but maybe a little Spicer if they have an option. Hakka noddles was the best dish. It was good simple load w some veggies. Overall the ambiance is cool, food needs to be better. Drinks were okay. The mocktail was a better option then the cocktail.

Saag Paneer

Enjoyed dinner here a few weeks ago, and the food was excellent. I had the saag paneer with garlic naan and rice. I didn't order a cocktail, but the drinks looked amazing. Our server was great, and the space was clean and spacious.

Good Indian food! Nice ambiance inside, clean and smells good. They have a full bar too. I parked in a lot on Cardiff - they don't validate parking unfortunately but the rates aren't awful. We're dairy-free so we were a bit concerned since some Indian restaurants use a lot of heavy cream and cheese in their sauces, but after explaining our restriction to the waitress, she did explain we had some options. Though there aren't a ton of options... None of the Tandoor dishes can be dairy-free which is a bummer. Old Monk Drunken Wings: comes with 4. Generously sauced and pretty flavorful. Classic Samosas: comes with 2. Pretty big size. They're alright but I wasn't blown away by the flavor. Fish Moilee: we got it with shrimp (+$2). Really enjoyed the flavor of this dish. You don't get a lot of shrimp despite the hefty price, though. Homestyle Chicken Curry: We enjoyed this one too. Both this and the one above are good with rice and were a nice mix of different flavors. Besides these 2 entrees, we could have had the eggplant masala and the lamb kosha. So, not a ton of dairy-free options... 4 entrees to choose from. We ordered the cumin cilantro rice with our mains... don't think it's worth the extra cost to have it be "cumin cilantro", we couldn't taste the cumin at all. We also got rosemary garlic naan... also couldn't taste the rosemary. And then an order of garlic naan which was better. My friends found a couple of hairs in their food which wasn't the most pleasant surprise. They gave us a small discount on our meal after we told them about this which was kind. Overall, I did enjoy the flavors of the food, but it's a little on the pricey side.

Dec '24 -- The butter chicken is worth doubling back for! I love good Indian food and with regard to that, I'm particular about where I go for it. This is now one of my TWO favorite Indian cuisine restaurants. Initially tried their food at a yelp event and once I discovered it was local, I eagerly went back because the sample of the dish I tried was so good. When dining, I sat at the bar and because I just dropped in solo, I couldn't try as much as I would have liked to. Everything smelled fragrant and delicious as plates passed me by. I had the butter chicken, saag paneer, and basmati rice. Everything was delicious! Parking was easy enough around the corner in a parking structure and service was ok. They had a bit of a wait but I was able to skip the line and head to the bar without having to wait. Very casual inside and TVs all around the bar with sports playing.

Sexier Curry Fries

Fusion Indian food We came at brunch time and they had a special but limited brunch menu. Friend ordered the chicken and waffles and seemed to enjoy it. I got the hakkah noodles and it was spicy and seasoned well. I originally wanted a saag paneer but they don't offer that at brunch. The sexier fries were tasty and good for sharing. The tamarind mocktail was pretty good and a unique mix of spices around the rim. Highly recommend getting a few plates and doing family style so people can try a bit of everything.

came for vday and wasn't packed at all. it's just a modern indian food restaurant, playing absolute bangers aka music in my playlists but that's not always the best sign LOL the menu is pretty condensed for an indian restaurant which is fine, but vegetarian/vegan items were limited af which is also odd..they didn't even have tofu like huh. indian food is always a safe bet for me bc i can usually always modify but not this place... ordered the chips, chana, vegan buttered chicken, w rice and roti on the side. everything was good, spice level mid even when asked for extra spice but flavor was there. service was SLOW.. our server did take his time to explain what can be made vegan or not but it wasn't even busy like that so i don't understand..we didn't get checked up on which is whatever but took forever to take our order, to get us to-go boxes and the check like what yall doin there's 3 tables ..idk i just wanted to LEAVE definitely wouldn't come back just bc little to no options for me but it was cute here

Nandini R.

Too tasty. I don't typically eat fusion food, but this was extremely well done. If you're looking for good Indian fusion food, this is definitely the spot. On a Monday night we were seated very quickly and our food came out very soon after we ordered. It's on the louder side for sure, but not impossible to have a conversation. They also have outdoor seating which definitely looked quieter!

This location used to be my favorite spot - Ford's Filling Station - and this part of Culver City has changed a lot since then. With so many restaurants opening/closing nearby we waited a long time but Arth seems to have created a home for itself. We were up for some Indian/fusion and had no issue getting a reservation last minute for a Saturday night. Always prefer to sit at the bar and we had drinks (Harlan hazy is a SUPER good beer). Menu was pretty easy to understand being fans of Indian food. Samosas - usually these can be pretty dense but at Arth they were much lighter with two sauces (spicy/sweet) that were perfect and could have used a little bit more. Saag Paneer and garlic naan were both really good as you can eat that naan all night... The pistachio lamb chops were good but unimpressive as I had seen other reviewers post much better looking versions. It tasted good but you do eat with your eyes first and they didn't look great. Service was quick and friendly and we'll definitely come back - If you are not familiar with the area, the traffic and parking can be tough since the whole downtown Culver City area has been a mess since COVID.

The location has a spacious area filled with a variety of wine options. I picked a Bourgogne Chardonnay from France ($36). We came on a late Monday afternoon and, lucky for us, they have a bar special on Mondays: No corkage fee! They also have Happy Hour-- Monday to Friday from 3-6pm. The Chardonnay was divine! I would totally return and purchase another bottle. We also ordered a charcuterie board and took advantage of their happy hour special for $20 (pick two-- one cheese and one meat). We opted for the 'Humboldt Fog' Chèvre as our cheese option and the Bresaola for our meat option. Both were delicious, but the chèvre was truly exquisite. We shared one charcuterie board with five people and it was enough; however if you're on the hungry side, I suggest two charcuterie boards for five or six people. In addition to meat and cheese, it comes with crackers, some pickled veggies, onion jam, candied nuts, whole grain Dijon, and apple slices. On the left side of the venue you have your variety of wine options; on the right side, there's the bar and some tables, plus a small area with other snacks for purchase that pair nicely with wine or beer. They even sell the Torres truffle chips! My only complaint is the service, unfortunately. The lady at the cashier was super friendly, however the bar tender was not so welcoming. When he came over to our table to open our wine bottle, he didn't greet us, smile, or say anything. He took our bottle and opened it and then asked who was going to taste. Not sure if he thought we didn't speak English since we were speaking another language when he came to our table, but overall, we all noticed his attitude and thought it was rather unwelcoming. Because of this experience, I rate this place a 4/5, however, everything else was great!

Everyone is nice, knowledgeable and non pretentious. The staff has encouraged me to try so many different wines I wouldn't normally do for fear of looking like a noob. I've enjoyed a wide range of wines from an orange one day, a pinot next, a buttery Chardonnay or a spicy Syrah. Every time I'm there it's a fun experiment. :) If you're a lightweight like me, I'd suggest eating a meal beforehand because the menu is pretty light. Street parking or structure in downtown culver is available. You can try the local neighborhoods for free parking, just don't park by my place! lol

The place itself is very modern and nice. Overall the vibe it basically a Houston's-type place. And service was good. All of the food overall was very good. Nothing really too crazy. To me, the menu is a little... boring. But, I will say everything was tasty. We got the Cajun shrimp salad (which was simple and clean but tasty), a cheese pizza for the kids (which was good!), a brisket French dip (very tasty and a horseradish sauce with a LOT of bite), a vodka pasta (was good but it actually is TOO big a portion to eat by one's self), the Ahi Tuna frites (the tuna was good and served with a nice green sauce), and the grilled cabbage side (with brown butter and some pomegranate molasses--it was actually my favorite thing!). The key distinctive thing about Laurel Grill seems to be that a lot of things get cooked by that fire which really adds a nice smoky touch (like the shrimp and the ahi tuna and the cabbage). My only major complaint would be the fries were just okay. After a minute or two they weren't crispy anymore. As good as everything else was, I thought they would step things up with the fries but they were just average. Anyways, while I overall am not that excited by the menu, it definitely is a great place to go where everybody will be able to find something tasty to eat. And overall, the portions were pretty fair.

Nothing to revert about. But wow, that mimosa was filled to the rim! I got the speciality weekend brunch spritz. I don't remember what it was call but it was strong and refreshing. Yes. The spritz was strong or my tolerance has gone way down. First course: I was pleasantly surprised by how big the Avacado toast was. It had a jam at the bottom that brought the whole dish together. Like my HH review, some micro greens would have taken my heard back. I just love microgreens! Deviled eggs and croquetts I've tried before. They were both pretty good. Croquetts can't do wrong. Mains: I got the crab Benedict and it was awesome! I filled up on my avocado toast so I took half of it home. There was plenty of crab and the poached egg was running and bright orange. That's some healthy eggs! Fresh toast looked amazing as well, same with the burger. I know the burger was also popular at happy hour for the price but I was told it was very good. I'll have to go next time just for that. Parking: Just park by the paid lot by trader Joe's or off Cardiff. Easier than trying to find parking on that street. The paid lot is $1 free and $1 additional hours. The patio was super charming with all the natural lights and shaded by the trees. The service was decent as well. Will took good care of us.

Well, Dine LA is happening and what better way than to try places you've been eyeing. I've heard good things about this place from friends that's been numerous of times and each visit was always amazing. Of course as it's part of Dine LA, it was a given to come and try this place for the first time. We had a reservation on a Friday night which was the start of Dine LA and let me say, this place was packed. Every single tables inside and out was utilized. They've made a name for themselves if it was that lively. Good on their part. It wasn't a long wait till our table was ready. We got seated on the patio side just along the street. Covered canopy with both hi top tables and standard tables. Positive side, there were loads of heat lamps as well as heated fireplaces separating pretty much all the tables. Gotta keep everyone warm during our LA winter. Inside is quite small compared to the seating outdoor with only a few tables. As Dine LA was happening, they offered a three course meal for 45.00 per person. If you weren't interested in that, their regular menu does offer loads of amazing dishes as well. We started off a bottle of their French Pinot which was quite nice. Not too strong and very smooth. Nice pair for dinner. Service was excellent and was taken good care by our waitress which I didn't get her name. She was great and very friendly. Dine LA Menu Starters -Soupe a l'oignon (French onion soup) melted Gruyère and brioche croutons -Ahi tuna tartare- avocado, balsamic reduction and spicy Cajun chips -Escargot a l'ail- 1/2 dozen escargot in garlic and parsley butter Mains -Boeuf Bourguignon- slow roasted beef stew with creamy potatoes puree in red wine sauce -Coq au Vin- braised chicken leg with glazed carrots, pearl onions and bordelaise sauce -Moules Frites (Mussels and fries)- PEI mussels in bisque sauce with garlic, Chablis, brandy Dessert -Crème brûlée- vanilla bean and turbinando sugar -Apple tarte tatin- caramelized apples with puff pastry dough and caramel sauce -Profiteroles- choux dough filled with vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce and roasted almonds. We each went with one of the starters. The French onion soup was perfect. The broth with the melted cheese, it was amazing. The flavors of everything paired together were perfect. Tuna tartare was great. The seasoning with the glaze and chips to paired with was great. Also fish was perfect and fresh. Lastly the escargot. If this doesn't scream French, I didn't know what does. I've had it at other restaurants and I can say this was amazing. The garlic sauce was perfect. Snails had a nice taste to it and quite tasty. Not tough at all. Everything was excellent. Mains, the boeuf Bourguignon was tasty. Nice chunks of beef with a nice thick sauce and pared with mashed potatoes. Sauce was excellent and not too strong. And the mussels, which was a hefty portion. The sauce which was like a lobster bisque was excellent. I'm use to a wine broth but the bisque was amazing. Nice meaty mussels cooked perfectly. We had to order a side of baguette for the bisque. Dessert, the profiteroles which I highly recommend. Two amazing pieces of puffed pastries filled with vanilla ice cream and topped with chocolate sauce. Mouthwatering at its best. And lastly the apple tarte, the right amount of sweetness and baked to perfection also served with ice cream. I can say that my first time here was amazing. The service, the food and everything was amazing. Not only dinner, they're also offering Dine LA for lunch. Regardless, it's going to be a priority to come back for another meal. The full menu looked amazing. Food was delicious and everyone left full and satisfied. Oh, there's some street parking if you could find them but loads of parking structures nearby.

From dine LA menu, I ordered escargot cooked with garlic and parsley butter, I wish they just cook with traditional way, I did not like that taste of parsley in it. Boeuf Bourguignon was the main entree and I had a high hope for it since I really miss eating it. When it arrived the portion was small. It tasted no where close to authentic.
