$5 Cup of Vegan Minestrone or Lentil Soup

From the first sip, the Ginger, Cinnamon & Wild Thyme tea soothed my heart and soul. Even better it lowered my blood pressure. After being poured a glass of water, the bottle of water was left on the table. A gesture most appreciated given this writer often drinks a gallon of water per day. A party of twenty was in the next room. The volume was deafening. Would not recommend coming in when there is a big party or when one is in a rush. Put on my patience hat. Fortunately a booth table was available. Ordered the vegetarian combo. It was worth the 45 minute wait. The ?chef ?owner rewarded my patience. She said she usually does not do this but knew I waited a long time. She asked if I liked and wanted more of the Shiro Wat (Chickpea Stew)? By all means yes! She brought out an extra helping. It was very savory & delicious. My taste buds were more than satiated with this nutrient dense meal. It provided a great variety of vegan proteins with good sized portions. The potatoes/carrot chunks, were tender, lightly reminiscent of mild yellow curry. The chopped collard greens, were a nice bright dark green. Sure to contain lots of vitamins. The lentils were medium spicy hot. The salad was my least favorite. Simply because tomatoes are something I dislike. The injera being gluten free was of the highest quality. Ate every bit of this veg combo. Will be back, when time permits.

What an incredible spot with incredible Ethiopian food. Tiba and her team were so sweet. The vegetarian combo was incredible. There are endless options for vegan and gluten free people. I will absolutely be back.

The food was delicious! We shared the vegetarian combo and ordered an extra side of lentils and injera. The service was great the owner was very nice and came out and talked to us. I would definitely come back here. Pay attention to the parking signs in front of the restaurant.

Wonderful and intimate Ethiopian restaurant in Los Angeles. Tabi was so welcoming and sweet. The food is made fresh to order and homemade recipes. Delicious Ethiopian food with all the best savory spices and flavors. The injera is made fresh here daily. We ordered the meat combo platter which came with a big portion of beef and chicken enough for two people. Tabi was so kind to us, she allowed us to bring our small Frenchie dog inside and gave us complimentary tea after the meal. Highly recommend this restaurant and hope to come back again someday! They also serve Italian food but we didn't get to try it.

Fantastic food! Really enjoyed the meal here. The Ethiopian honey wine was some of the best wine I've ever had too. Highly recommend!

Thank you Yelp for helping me discover this little gem! Wasn't sure what to expect because the combo of Ethiopian and Italian seemed odd, but it was also appealing because sometimes my daughter really wants pasta and I just don't. We just ordered Ethiopian (meat and veggie combos) on this go-round, however, and kiddo enjoyed it though she found it a bit spicy. I didn't think it was very spicy, however. Flavors were fabulous though I thought they could have been even more pronounced. The stews were my favorite by far. My husband couldn't stop raving about the salads. Delighted to have good Ethiopian food on the Westside

We got the meat combo and it was perfect for two people (we also had leftovers). The service was so friendly; the chef even came out to say hello and thank you! I'll definitely be back to order the veggie combo and try the pizza and coffee.

First time eating Ethiopian cuisine and it's delicious and healthy. This restaurant, the food and the owners are amazing! It's in the prior Louisa's space (some of the prior staff may still work there) but the interior is completely updated. We had beef tibs and bbq pizza (the pizza is delicious). My son wanted Italian. The servings are large. Injera is the most unique utensil/food I've tasted. It's like a sourdough crepe and used to eat the meal. The owners showed us a video how they make it and it's a complicated intense preparation process. Same with multi step and lengthy process to prepare the meals. Many hours of love go into the meal preparation. We also had a mini Ethiopian coffee service. We were shown the raw green beans, then after they were roasted. Finally the coffee was presented in a clay brewing pitcher and poured in a special way so the coffee sludge is kept from the cup. I can't say enough how sweet and sharing the owners are. Truly the salt of the earth people. Ethio is still in its opening period, I'll return many times. One day I want to try the formal traditional Ethiopian coffee service.

I am so happy to have found this restaurant that serves authentic Ethiopian food! It is so delicious and will become a new regular spot in our rotation of restaurants. We've now eaten here in person several times and have also got food to go. Can't say enough good things about it.

Great customer service. The food was really really good. The veg combo is a must to try. My spiced Ethiopian pasta was the bomb. The wine with divine hint of honey was so worth it. Everyone loved their dish. The cinnamon ginger tea at the end of the meal was perfect. The ambience was very nice. The music as well as the tea was soothing. Street parking is not easy before 6! I'm told laundromat parking has been accessible and so is the pep shop across.

I usually order the vegetarian combo, but I tried the Awazi Tibs this time, and boy am I happy and full. The amount of garlic and spice is so delicious! I appreciate the option to have the spicy sauce on the side. Their injera was so soft and spongy. I also tried their Tej (honey wine) and ginger tea, both made in-house by the owner, Josef. The tea was nice and strong, and the wine was sweet and went down so smooth. There is also parking behind the restaurant. I will definitely park there, next time. Thank you Ethio for making me feel welcome and feeding me so well.

I got my go-to flavor, the Espresso Delux Hokey Pokey. Personally, I find this flavor to be more rich in flavor, but less sweet than the original Hokey Pokey. Plus, as a coffee-lover, how can I say no to coffee?!?! The ice cream was smooth and creamy, while the coffee flavor was noted with each bite without being too strong or overpowering. There was also a slight note of tanginess to it. It was topped off with crushed bits of chocolate covered almonds and toffee/honey comb flakes. In my opinion, this was the highlight as the toppings complimented the ice cream. You get the smooth and creaminess from the ice cream, yet the crunchy, chocolatey and nuttiness from the infused toppings. Now that's a heavenly bite. Highly recommend checking this place out whenever you're at Century City mall. It's located on the 2nd floor, right outside of Macy's. There's plenty of seating inside and the store is overall quite clean. Staff have been super friendly during each of my visits.

I had the California Orange cone. It was dreamy orange soft serve with candied orange pieces. Ah, those were so good. It also comes with dark chocolate pieces, but I asked to have it made without. The cone tasted a bit blah, so that was the only part of the treat I didn't care for. The service here was spectacular. I think it may have been the owner, but he gave me the whole walk-through of the brand and the flavors. He gave me a sample of the most popular Hokey Pokey. It was too sweet for me, so that's when I went with the California Orange. Throughout my visit as I was eating my cone, the mood was kept up with some cool Rolling Stones tunes being played on the record player. Then the record can to the end, he turned it over. A very lovely experience! Overall, I would definitely come here to try other flavors and take in the cool ambiance.

Vibe: Super cute and aesthetic--very on-brand and Instagram-worthy. It's not a huge space, but there are a few tables if you want to sit and relax for a bit. Drinks: I tried the cold brew and it was definitely on the stronger side, which I personally liked. They also have different flavor options, so you can mix it up depending on your mood. Price range: Expect about $5-$8 per drink, which is pretty typical for specialty coffee in this area. ‍ Location & parking: Located inside Westfield Century City, so parking is just mall parking (easy but can get busy depending on the time). Final thoughts: Great spot if you're already at the mall and want a quality coffee with a fun vibe. Not a huge sit-down café, but perfect for a quick pick-me-up. Would definitely come back to try more!!

Then I noticed Chamberlain Coffee right in front of us, and there was a line of people waiting, so we decided to try it out of curiosity. When I Googled it, it said that this coffee shop was started by some YouTuber. I had never heard of her before, and since I don't watch YouTube at all, I didn't know who she was. But seeing quite a few people lined up, I figured she must be pretty famous. So we waited in line out of curiosity and ordered three coffees: one espresso for my brother, one Americano for my mom, and an Orange Latte for me. Honestly, the coffee was just okay. Nothing about it felt special, and I personally didn't think it was that good. As for my Orange Latte, I could taste the orange flavor, but one of the staff, she sprinkled cinnamon powder on top without even asking me, which really annoyed me. I don't really like cinnamon, so I was irritated that she added it without checking with me first. The customer service made the experience even more frustrating. Later, I asked for an empty cup, and since there were a lot of cups stacked there, I was about to grab one myself. But the woman behind the counter told me she would give it to me, and handed me a cup with an annoyed attitude. The person who took my order was friendly, but the Asian woman working behind the counter was very unfriendly. What bothered me the most was that she sprinkled cinnamon powder on my Orange Latte without asking me. The Orange Latte really didn't taste good. It was just sweet, and with the cinnamon flavor on top of that, it was so unpleasant that I ended up throwing it away after drinking some of it. Also, the espresso was extremely tiny. After buying three coffees and even leaving a tip, the total came out to $20. I was really disappointed.
