A classic diner, food was great and service was on point. If you are a fan of a classic diner. You can't go wrong with Teddy's

I didn't realize that I had never posted a review of Teddy's! We don't go often, but we have been going to Teddy's on occasion when we travel to the west side to go to Santa Monica College, for years. We've gone twice in the last few weeks, and it's as good as ever. Teddy's is an old school home style cafe/diner on Bundy and Pico. It actually is a community landmark where locals congregate and hang out. The other plus is that they are Spanish-language friendly. Ambiance is cozy, friendly and homey and service is great! Menu includes standard diner fare, comfort food. We've recently had the open faced hot turkey sandwich with gravy and mashed potatoes, which was good, and we enjoyed it. The next time JJ had a bowl of split pea soup, which was excellent! He also had the tuna sandwich, which he enjoyed as well, but said it was a little on the dry side. I ended up deciding on breakfast at 5 pm in the afternoon--- combo with pancakes, eggs over easy and sausages. It was so good! I thoroughly enjoyed it. The pancakes were steaming hot and fluffy and the sausages were really plump and juicy. Excellent. Recommended, if you're in the area---give Teddy's a try. Cash only, but there is an ATM inside. Parking lot always has plenty of parking.

I came back for another breakfast. Got the huevos rancheros this time and it was just alright. Don't think I'll be ordering it again but I'll be back to try other things on the menu. The service was great as always.

Country fried steak (beef) scrambled eggs and some really good potato's the gravy was spot on.

So this is my Second time here in two weeks and I tried a different plate the "chile verde" rice, beans and chips, you won't be disappointed, it's authentic food from Mexico, nice atmosphere, friendly staff, I mean all of them, the cooks and waitresses, highly recommend.

CASH ONLY!! Food here was homemade diner style. Cheap and yummy! Service is also fast overall, a locals hidden gem. There's also a parking lot! Inside is very busy and feels like you're in a movie.

Teddy's Cafe looks like an old diner, which I can appreciate. I like diners. I always feel comfortable and welcome and this place does that as well. It's real casual. I don't know the history but I assume the owner is into model cars because they are everywhere. The decor is a bit scattered and dusty. It kind of feels like someone's living room. I was seated and the server took my order quickly. I ordered a club sandwich, and if you've read my other reviews that contain bacon, you know I like my bacon burnt. Well, I did have to send my bacon back because it wasn't even crispy, but the second time was the charm and my sandwich was really good. The French fries were okay. Not under cooked, but not crispy either. I only ate a few of them. I had to ask the person at the counter for my check and paid there because the server didn't come back. All in all, mediocre. Will I go back? I don't know. If I'm in the area I might. It's not close to me and the experience wasn't good enough for me to go out of my way.

Casual attire, casual dining. I absolutely loved this place! It brings you back in time to that inviting, comfortable, cozy feel. It was busy but the service is still fast (so be ready to order, etc., they dont play around! Lol) the staff are very quick and accommodating. Seems like this is a family owned business, loved everyone we interacted with. Warm & welcoming. Say "yes" to the coffee they serve when you first sit down. Brought me back the days with my grandparents and parents. It was good ole fashion coffee. Yumm. The food was delicious!! From now on, this will definitely be a regular "go to" spot when we are in the area. So happy we stumbled across this place, ended our Valentine's weekend so perfectly. Simple & Sweet.

Came here for breakfast after taking a red eye and landing super early in the morning. This was one of the few places open that early and we got a standard breakfast. Food and service were good and what you would expect from a little diner. It had an homey vibe and one thing to note is that hey only take cash. Overall not bad

I have been visitIng teddys for quite some time and I I'm never disappointed. It's just a neighborhood Café with good food at a good price. Everything is always yummy and it's comforting. Cash only can't beat the prices. Steak is always delicious. Char broiled meat. fluffy eggs, good potatoes, nice sourdough toast. If you want a decent homemade tasting grilled hamburger. this is the place to go. ask for onions. Nice fluffy pancakes. I recommend Teddys for breakfast. The prices are amazing. You can take your whole family here without breaking the bank.

Cash only! All items are reasonably priced for the location. We came for breakfast while there was an egg shortage, but Teddy's café didn't charge us for eggs. Yummy American diner food ordered the chicken fried steak. It was freshly fried and crispy. Comes with potatoes and eggs. Welcoming servers and also outdoor seating would definitely be back for another breakfast meal.

One of my favorite places for breakfast. Family owned diner with excellent comfort food at great prices. My go to is chicken fried steak egg breakfast Super friendly and fast efficient staff and service. Cash only and free parking lot

Country fried steak and eggs ($11.50 as of 11/02/25).

It's a 4.5 but rounded up to a 5. I've driven past this place for decades and tried it for the first time tonight. Food is excellent diner food. It was inexpensive ($12.50 for a hot turkey sandwich and $11.50 for a 3 egg country fried steak and eggs). It's cash only but they have an ATM inside. My turkey sandwich was filling and my wife took home country fried steak leftovers. The dining room was crowded for a Sunday night at 5:00. Everyone seemed to be a regular. Two waitresses served everyone. They were pleasant and efficient but I could see someone calling them a little abrupt. They were very busy so no big deal. Our waitress warmed up to us when we said it's our first time, we loved the food and plan to come back. Ambiance? It's a diner, comfortable and casual. They have a 70s motif. They have a decent sized (free) parking lot in the back.

Teddys is the best! From the seasoned waitstaff to the classic diner comfort food. They got it going on. I got the corned beef hash this morning and it is delicious. Comes even with a sliced piece of pineapple. Hash browns are crisp to perfection. I have to remember to order my eggs over medium tho cuz over easy is a bit too runny for my blood. My BF loves their chicken fried steak and biscuits and gravy. The prices are throwback and makes you want to come twice as much!!! I need to try everything else on the menu especially the turkey club. See ya soon Teddys!

We split the Los Cali Brekkie burrito which features sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, cheese, French fries and a house made Sriracha aioli but we substituted the cilantro aioli. The filling of the burriot was super soft and mush but it worked. There was a guy out back frying up fresh donuts. I was instantly so glad we chose this spot to celebrate our anniversary because it was the perfect setting for a romantic date night. Now, let's talk about the food! Everything we ordered was delicious, with the exception of the Korean aguachiles, which we probably could've skipped. We also tried the bluefin bibimbap, oysters, and the oh-so-tender short rib that practically melted in our mouths. But the most unforgettable dish was also the simplest: the Korean fried chicken. It wasn't necessarily something out of the ordinary, but it sure tasted like it. The perfect crisp, flavor, and seasoning had us eating every last piece right down to the bone. Our server also made the experience even better. She gave us some of the best recommendations and were incredibly attentive and friendly throughout the entire meal. And breakfast burritos are notoriously bad travelers. Thirty minutes inside foil and a delivery bag can turn a perfectly good one into a warm, soggy brick. Sobuneh somehow avoids that. I've ordered their breakfast burritos multiple times now and they consistently arrive warm and remarkably intact. The tater tots still have texture, the avocado hasn't turned into mush, the tortilla holds everything together and most importantly the whole thing still tastes like it was made with some care. One piece of advice, get the chipotle sauce on the side. They always honor the request and I think that's part of what keeps the burrito from getting soggy during delivery. Add it yourself as you eat. The heirloom pico de gallo is excellent. It's a little wet, but fresh and flavorful enough that I don't care. I just wish they had a legitimately hot salsa. The available sauces don't quite get there, so I usually end up reaching for whatever nuclear option I have at home. Even the tater tots travel surprisingly well. They're obviously never going to be straight from the fryer crispy after a delivery drive, but they're still warm with enough crunch left to make them worth ordering. Is it expensive for a breakfast burrito? Yeah. There's no getting around that. But there's also something to be said for ordering the same thing repeatedly and having it show up the way you hoped it would. Sobuneh has managed that enough times that I've stopped wondering whether the last order was a fluke. A very good breakfast burrito and one of the rare ones I'd actually recommend having delivered.
