I came back for another breakfast. Got the huevos rancheros this time and it was just alright. Don't think I'll be ordering it again but I'll be back to try other things on the menu. The service was great as always.

CASH ONLY!! Food here was homemade diner style. Cheap and yummy! Service is also fast overall, a locals hidden gem. There's also a parking lot! Inside is very busy and feels like you're in a movie.

Teddy's Cafe looks like an old diner, which I can appreciate. I like diners. I always feel comfortable and welcome and this place does that as well. It's real casual. I don't know the history but I assume the owner is into model cars because they are everywhere. The decor is a bit scattered and dusty. It kind of feels like someone's living room. I was seated and the server took my order quickly. I ordered a club sandwich, and if you've read my other reviews that contain bacon, you know I like my bacon burnt. Well, I did have to send my bacon back because it wasn't even crispy, but the second time was the charm and my sandwich was really good. The French fries were okay. Not under cooked, but not crispy either. I only ate a few of them. I had to ask the person at the counter for my check and paid there because the server didn't come back. All in all, mediocre. Will I go back? I don't know. If I'm in the area I might. It's not close to me and the experience wasn't good enough for me to go out of my way.

Came here for breakfast after taking a red eye and landing super early in the morning. This was one of the few places open that early and we got a standard breakfast. Food and service were good and what you would expect from a little diner. It had an homey vibe and one thing to note is that hey only take cash. Overall not bad

One of my favorite places for breakfast. Family owned diner with excellent comfort food at great prices. My go to is chicken fried steak egg breakfast Super friendly and fast efficient staff and service. Cash only and free parking lot

Cash only! All items are reasonably priced for the location. We came for breakfast while there was an egg shortage, but Teddy's café didn't charge us for eggs. Yummy American diner food ordered the chicken fried steak. It was freshly fried and crispy. Comes with potatoes and eggs. Welcoming servers and also outdoor seating would definitely be back for another breakfast meal.

Country fried steak and eggs ($11.50 as of 11/02/25).

It's a 4.5 but rounded up to a 5. I've driven past this place for decades and tried it for the first time tonight. Food is excellent diner food. It was inexpensive ($12.50 for a hot turkey sandwich and $11.50 for a 3 egg country fried steak and eggs). It's cash only but they have an ATM inside. My turkey sandwich was filling and my wife took home country fried steak leftovers. The dining room was crowded for a Sunday night at 5:00. Everyone seemed to be a regular. Two waitresses served everyone. They were pleasant and efficient but I could see someone calling them a little abrupt. They were very busy so no big deal. Our waitress warmed up to us when we said it's our first time, we loved the food and plan to come back. Ambiance? It's a diner, comfortable and casual. They have a 70s motif. They have a decent sized (free) parking lot in the back.

Teddys is the best! From the seasoned waitstaff to the classic diner comfort food. They got it going on. I got the corned beef hash this morning and it is delicious. Comes even with a sliced piece of pineapple. Hash browns are crisp to perfection. I have to remember to order my eggs over medium tho cuz over easy is a bit too runny for my blood. My BF loves their chicken fried steak and biscuits and gravy. The prices are throwback and makes you want to come twice as much!!! I need to try everything else on the menu especially the turkey club. See ya soon Teddys!

My husband's surprised me with breakfast after a doctors appointment here at Teddys Cafe. The restaurant was so clean for the outdated decor. Mismatching chairs and wooden finishes give this place its charm. Our server was Angie. Very sweet and available if you need anything she was within an arms reach to get what you need. The food was so homemade reminded me of my grandmas kitchen! Fluffy pancakes, warm salsa, and crisp breakfast proteins. But bring cash as this is a cash only joint and they do have an atm, service fee around $3.50. We will definitely be back!

I have been visitIng teddys for quite some time and I I'm never disappointed. It's just a neighborhood Café with good food at a good price. Everything is always yummy and it's comforting. Cash only can't beat the prices. Steak is always delicious. Char broiled meat. fluffy eggs, good potatoes, nice sourdough toast. If you want a decent homemade tasting grilled hamburger. this is the place to go. ask for onions. Nice fluffy pancakes. I recommend Teddys for breakfast. The prices are amazing. You can take your whole family here without breaking the bank.

All dishes are carefully crafted with its colorful details, and its simple but bold flavors prepared for you through an open kitchen. This place gets busy the minute they open their doors so make reservations prior. 1. Korean Aguachile: fresh tilefish sashimi with finely sliced cucumber and white floral decor simmered in ice cold kimchee broth they pour at the table. Soooo good. Must order. 2. Soy Marinade Blue Prawn: My favorite dish of the night. Huge raw blue prawns (head attached) marinaded with soy sauce. Served with barley rice topped with Ssam jang (type of bean paste sauce), and seaweed paper. You wrap all ingredients in the seaweed paper to make a hand roll. Soooooo delicious. Can't walk out without trying this. 3. Beef short ribs: good but nothing unique in its flavoring . Beef steak(medium rare and super tender) that's lightly marinaded/glazed (so not overly sweet) with kbbq/short rib sauce. This is one of their fan favorites so I suggest you try it.. 4. Chilled Acorn Noodles: chewy cOLD noodles made with acorn (just like the acorn jelly side dish we eat). The noodles are seasoned with Korean Cho-go-chu-jang (Gochujang paste), crispy cucumber slices, loads of dried seaweed flakes, and perilla oil. And you just mix them all together. Sooo good and paired well with the short ribs. Incredible. 5. Bluefin tuna and trout Bibimbop: like a poke bowl but so much better. Rice at the bottom with loads of lettuce strips, bluefin tuna sashimi, radish slices, and cavier. Seasoned with Korean Cho-go-chu jang (Gochujang paste with a twist of vinegar). Very good as well. For drinks we tried the shikhye slush (shikhye is a Korean sweet rice drink dessert). They used a slushy shikhye base with warm cinnamon and ginger spices and pisco for a kick. Also tried the Sujinggwa manhattan which is sujunggwa (traditional Korean cinnamon ginger dessert tea served cold) and a single malt. This was fabulous. Overall fantastic experience. Fantastic food, cool ambiance's. And great service. Highly highly recommend this place!

Tables looked available around 5pm though so walk-ins could be possible. Ambiance: Outside was nice and inside looked dimly lit and romantic. We were seated promptly and service was good. Food: Rice slushy had a strangely strong cinnamon-like taste to it that traditional rice punch doesn't have which was so overpowering, it made it difficult to go back for more sips. Oysters - good though small, enjoyed the kelp mignonette Korean Aguachile - Delicate tilefish completely overwhelmed by cold kimchi broth with actual icy slush in it and small amounts of fish Steak Tartare - The hot stone bowl seemed to defeat the purpose of a tartare, as it cooked the steak once mixed. The perilla leaves were also cut in large strips relative to the beef. Chilled Acorn Noodle - The perilla oil was nonexistent in flavor though the dish didn't need it and was good without. Overall, portions were small for the price and dishes weren't well-executed so despite being excited for more Korean options in West LA, I'd much rather make the drive to Koreatown for better portions, prices, and flavors.

Throughout our dinner experience, I had to ask to have my water be refilled several times. He just completely neglected us. As for the food, we started with the cheesesteak egg rolls. They were a 3/5 but came out completely cold. Then we moved onto the brie starter, which was not appealing 2/5. I was excited to try their pork ragu pasta and it was the worst dish of the 4 we ordered. I actually found it to be inedible. Definitely a 0/5. The only redeeming quality of the entire evening was the pepperoni pizza we ordered which I would give a 4/5. I was so excited to try this place and to spoil my partner, but it turned into a mild disaster and left me highly disappointed. I would not go back, nor would I recommend to any of my friends.
