Came here for a quick bite & to enjoy the outside area. The service was quick & attentive I wish the hot dog was bigger & had more toppings. The chicken tenders were very tasty and cooked nicely The area outside to sit was clean & there were many areas to sit Overall, enjoyed this little shop to order quick food to satisfy a quick craving!

Roasted Lemony Potatoes and NEW! Fried Dirty Chicken Sandwich

It's okay. We got the dirty fried chicken sandwich with the lemony potatoes as a side. It's not the best chicken sandwich I had but not the worst. It's a bit overly fried for me but at least the chicken wasn't dried out. The slaw was a nice touch. I did not like the sauce. I liked the lemony potatoes better than the sandwich. They came out piping hot with really good flavor. Nice shaded dog friendly patio in the back. Bathrooms were super clean too.

Great beef roast beef sandwich!! (mustard is a bit strong but that's ok) and quick service. Perfect to grab to go or eat there. Music in the patio is nice

Dirty chicken. Served either baked or deep fried (tenders only). Had the tenders with chix drippings sauce. Bomb! I'll be back for the baked chicken combo!

Popped by for lunch on a Thursday. Street parking readily available with reasonable meters. Order at the counter and take a seat in their cute alley seating area or right on Ocean like we did to enjoy the sunshine. We both opted for the same thing: Roasted chicken. Tender (good size) strips on a SOFT and delicious baquette with argula and a dijon mustard spread. Served with a side of chicken drippings. The sandwich was perfect. Usually baquettes albeit delicious have a crust that is a bit too crusty and too tough to chew through easily. Not the problem here. The chicken is also so tender and spiced nicely. The real kick is the dijon mustard that coats the bottom. A real delight. We also got a side of the corn ribs served elote style. These were good but I have to say, that this is probably not a veggie for me. A lot healthier than the traditional elote corn served in cobless and that I avoid. But to each their own! I'll try another veggie next time! Service was great. I am always a bit skeptical about paying for service before it is delivered. Will I get bad service if I don't pay up? Am I wasting money on semi-table service? Don't worry! The food was delivered promptly and better yet, our server/counter person also gave us courtesy water BEFORE all the food arrived. The way to go! I'll be back!

Roasted dirty chicken, corn ribs, brocollini

One can get the "dirty chicken" at Michelin-starred Citrin for two for $86. At Augie's, you can try this "fancy" rotisserie chicken for $26 or so including two sides (with tax and tip). The dirty chicken plate is beautiful. It's perfect for the 'gram..but does it deliver on flavor? Unfortunately, the rotisserie chicken is quite bland. You will definitely need ketchup to give it flavor. The chicken reminds me of Whole Foods whole rotisserie chicken. It would be nice if they had some sauces other than ketchup packets available upon request. The Augie's rotisserie is not as juicy or delicious as the wood-fired rotisserie Peruvian chicken from Pollo a la Brasa in Gardena/Koreatown or Listo el Pollo in Reseda which are my favorite rotisserie chickens in LA. I did enjoy the options available on the sides menu. Once you look at the side options you will know that this is not your ordinary fast casual restaurant. My favorite was the brocollini. I love brocollini and I make it at home. It really pairs well with a nice protein. It is something that I enjoy ordering as a side at a steakhouse. The corn ribs "elote" was fine. I wasn't too crazy about the sauce. The next time I am in the area, I will try the fried chicken tenders. It would be interesting to try fried chicken from Michelin-starred chef, Josiah Citrin and head over to Joshua Skenes' Happies Handmade to compared the chicken tenders from two Michelin-starred chefs. You'll have to order from the touch screen, but there's someone available there if you have any questions or need help placing your order. Parking is a long Main Street. I imagine it would be more difficult to find parking over the weekend.

Quarter chicken with broccolini and ratatouille.

The roasted chicken is juicy and moist. Has panko breadcrumbs for those who are looking for a crunch. The broccolini is cooked well with a slight sweetness. And ratatouille is solid side. Best roasted chicken for those looking for healthy chicken. A nice tribute to the chef's son.

Came here with high hopes and left feeling very mid. CHICKEN Aesthetically the food looked great, but the chicken was a bit dry and relied on the sauce for flavor. Breading was good but no better than Raising Canes. My boyfriend got the chicken nuggets and those were better but still relied on the sauce for its seasoning. SIDES Mac n cheese was cold and lacked flavor. Coleslaw was pretty good. SERVICE Not sure if the staff were having a bad day, but the main counter gal didn't know anything about the menu and whenever I asked a question she said to look at the kiosk (which I was already looking at lol). Likewise when I asked for a Togo box she gave me a hard time about it as if asking to take something to go was an issue.

    Fried Chicken Sandwich

Small spot on Main Street with lots of seating! Love the option to self start your order at the kiosk. All street parking on Main Street. I got the fried chicken sandwich and made it spicy. Unfortunately there wasn't much spice. Not sure if it supposed to be the sauce or a dry seasoning but def wasn't spicy. Also there wasn't much chicken in it, mostly breading. A bit disappointed :(

Pricey fried chicken with minimal and dry meat. The service took a minute but was made to order. But it's nothing to write home about. I was visiting in the area and heard good things but was disappointed. There were other guests there that claim everything in the menu was good. But maybe I prefer Korean fried chicken?

My wife was craving Thai food, so she ordered the Thai dish, while I was stuck between the Peruvian Saltado and the Showtime Burger. I ended up going with the burger, and I'm glad I did. It was absolutely amazing -- flavorful, high quality, and perfectly put together. From the first bite, you could taste all the layers of flavor in what honestly felt like a masterpiece of a burger. Both dishes were very good, but the burger was definitely the winner for us. We also tried the Garage beer, which was super light and delightful, along with a latte. The latte was okay. We're big coffee people, so it didn't quite meet our expectations. It was served too hot, and the milk seemed overheated. The coffee itself tasted good, but it didn't feel carefully crafted. I enjoy latte art and that first sip from a freshly made uncapped latte, and that part was missing for me. That said, the food was so good that we're more than willing to overlook the coffee. Great vibes, superb service, and an overall fantastic experience. Highly, highly recommend this place. We'll definitely be back with friends and family.

Comfortable seats and a large sunny outdoor patio. Service was professional, prompt, and very knowledgeable. I cannot wait to come back and try more diverse items off the menu!

I ordered the mozzarella sandwich with fresh ovoline mozzarella, creamy avocado, crunchy alfalfa sprouts, pickled red onions, and zatar spread on their signature crackly house made focaccia. The sandwich was stacked incredibly high with fresh ingredients and every bite was delicious. The focaccia alone deserves recognition since it was perfectly crisp on the outside and soft inside. The flavors worked really well together. The portion was huge and it took me about forty minutes to finish because it was so generously loaded. They even gave me a side of avocado at no charge which was a really nice surprise. We also both ordered the homemade lemonade which was to die for and very refreshing. For the quality and portion size the prices are very affordable. They also accept Blackbird which is a great bonus. Amazing sandwiches, fresh ingredients, generous portions, and a fun atmosphere. This tiny Santa Monica wine-and-cheese concept debuted in 2016, and their charcuterie boards earned acclaim from Oprah and The New York Times alike. During the pandemic, Lady & Larder ventured into the sandwich game, and the result was a resounding success. Nowadays, the not-so-secret "Secret Lunch" lineup of gourmet sandwiches is among the best in Los Angeles. The tiny Santa Monica shop shares the block with a Sherwin-Williams and a boxing gym. Cross your fingers for metered street parking on the trafficky block of Pico. Outside, red metal patio furniture is shaded by the overhanging storefront. Natural light runs through multicolored windows to the shop within. The mosaic tiled floor is effortlessly chic. The soaring whitewashed walls are minimally decorated, while shelves and refrigerators are carefully curated with wines, cheeses, tinned fish, and candles. The tablet register is set up on a worn kitchen countertop. Soft, instrumental music immediately feels welcoming. I've visited multiple times for early weekend lunch, and our Toast pre-order was ready upon arrival. We grabbed a table outside, and numerous takeout customers popped in and out during our meal. My favorite was the Disco Only. This elevated turkey club featured an impressive depth of flavor, from the sharp alpine cheese to the rich garlic mayo to the tangy pepperoncini vinegar. The thick-cut Bub and Grandma's sesame bread held up admirably well, and the arugula added a welcome fresh factor. The proteins were plentiful but were outshone by the other components. I also loved the Hot Girl Salami. The sweet-and-hot mustard and crispy baguette accentuated the rich, almost buttery salami. Meanwhile, the Venice Cowgirl was like a cheeseboard on a baguette. The sweet peaches and apricot-habanero jam dominated the subtly rich cheese or thin prosciutto, but the sandwich nonetheless proved to be a unique, summery option worth sharing. Lastly, the Yes, Honey elevated the ham-and-cheese with tangy relish, but the other components felt standard and forgettable. The service was friendly and efficient, and sandwiches ran for $15-20 each. Overall, the food tasted like the Santa Monica Farmer's Market on a premium roll, with sandos ranging from good to excellent. They are worth a dedicated visit if you're in the neighborhood, and I can't wait to work my way through more of Lady & Larder's menu.
