We just went to Burger Lounge for dinner with the fam tonight and I was so happy to find a local spot that offers grass-fed burgers, beef tallow fries and even pasture-raised milk for the kids meals with Tillamook ice cream and shakes. These kinds of options being offered at a burger joint makes it so much easier for my family to enjoy burgers without me having to worry about the quality of the ingredients or the food. We live in the neighborhood. Pass by every day, twice a day for school pick up and drop offs. We used to come to this plaza for a meal once or twice a week when this was Rubios. It pains me that we are not able to do the same. The kids just rather have a burger at In-n-out. It's faster and costs a fraction. Prices here are steeep. Beer and a burger are a combo I can always get behind. There's nothing like an ice-cold brew in a frosted glass and a freshly made burger that doesn't scream America! Admittedly, my homemade grilled burgers are epic, and there is currently no burger joint that rivals mine - except maybe my mom's or my sister's homemade versions - they make epic burgers too. But I digress. Order on any of the several screens or with someone who's working the counter. Easy peasy. Beer and wine are served here, which is not typical for burger joints, but this is designated a "lounge"...it says so in its name. My 1st choice of beer was not available (I learned this later when my beer hadn't arrived). I selected an alternative - El Segundo Broken Skull IPA was tasty. My Western Bacon cheeseburger was decent, it was hot off the flat top grill and all the innards were fresh. The BBQ sauce didn't thrill me, but the sammich was good. Fries and onion rings are good, though I would have asked for well-done fries. Ranch dressing wasn't memorable, but they do have other dipping sauce options. Shakes, salads, craft sodas, and options to customize your burger (or chicken, fish or not-meat) just the way you want it. Service was friendly once we were able to interact (we ordered at the screen), but we did have to clean our own table. Noticed later a guy cleaning up around the restaurant, including tables, was on a break when we arrived. Odd that his team didn't step in to help clean up the place while he was on a break. I had gone to a Burger Lounge many years ago in Beverly Hills and thought it was good so wanted to try it again. You order by machine so at these prices I would like customer service. I asked for a soda cup after waiting for my order as I didn't know the protocol. Server apologized for not giving it to me after I ordered which was nice. Burger was decent but I expected fresher tasting fries and onion rings. Mine tasted like they were sitting for a while. Not cold but not warm. Back to Islands or Truxtons for burgers at this price. read more

I haven't been to one of these locations in years, but have never been to this location. I love that they offer items that pertain to those of certainn diets. Their food isn't greasy at all. They have the healthiest burger I've ever eaten! The burgers are very fresh tasting. Grass fed beef is really just superior. Definitely on the pricey side. But, it's worth it for quality meat. I got their Lounge Burger with cheese & lettuce. It usually comes with cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and their BL1000 sauce (aka thousand island). Really good. Fast service. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Nothing fancy inside. Looks like a small burger joint. My son got the chicken sandwich. It was lightly breaded. He said was good. He also got a cookies and cream milkshake. Made with real ice cream. Delicious! I came here by accident. I was trying to make a u-turn but was forced to turn into the plaza. I was about to exit the parking lot when I saw a sign for $5 burgers and decided to try it. Let me tell you, it's a solid smash burger for the HH price of $5?! I expected it to be in the smaller end, but it was a decent size. Not too small, but not too big. The service was very attentive and the restaurant is very clean. I would return for the HH prices, the regular prices are a little on the expensive side. read more

Unlike other burgers you don't even need condiments the flavor profile is so meaty, fresh and tasty. Cooked great and not over done, but you can order well done if you prefer. Very hot and juicy. Then they toast the bun! Thank you it adds a great crunch. Lots of topping to choose from and easy to order. Arlene at the Manhattan Beach restaurant is very nice and very helpful. I used to go to Burger Lounge a lot when I lived on the Westside, and every time I crave a burger in the South Bay I remember it fondly. I was thrilled when I saw they were finally opening a new location here. We've been twice since opening and it does not disappoint. Burgers are excellent, onion rings and fries are excellent (though not as I remember, or maybe I'm remembering wrong) and I love the dipping sauces. Shakes are fantastic too. Although a bit pricey, the burger was very good and so were both the fries/rings. I like how they heat the bun in the grill for a bit and the cheese is melted just right. The patty itself is also cooked well with a crisp on the outside. You technically don't need two patties aka the husky, one patty is a decent size. Ordered four burgers through DoorDash, but only received two. The staff failed to hand the Dasher both bags, so one bag was left behind. When I called the restaurant, their response was "we have the second bag here if you want to pick it up". Why should I drive to pick it up when I already paid for DoorDash?
