The ONLY reason I keep coming back is because the steak is really good! Other than that, don't have high expectations. I consistently order the 'Classico Burrito' with steak and 50% of the time my order is incorrect. For example, they felt the need to add corn to my Classico Burrito. Does it mention corn on the menu for this item? No. Would it be such a big deal if it happened one time? No, but this happens all the time. Either different ingredients are added, or the steak is forgotten altogether ( which I did drive back to have them correct, it's a $20 burrito) I could also write a whole letter solely about how the women behind the counter do everything in the world except help the customer, have a good attitude when talking to the customer and pretty much anything related to their job. Insanely good fast casual! I love that there is a huge selection for a variety of dietary preferences. I had no problem finding something gluten free & dairy free. No matter when, I ALWAYS have to order their meiling's chicken salad every visit. Their dressing is just so tangy and full of flavor, emphasizing the mix of fresh greens and generous amount of chicken. The mandarin oranges are a great touch as not all places with any asian/chinese chicken salad do it. It adds a nice contrast with its usual sweetness. I prefer it with extra wonton crunchies for the texture variety. The portion is great as well. This has been a favorite of mine since they first opened. read more

Quick and easy dinner here! I tried the Insalata Mediterranea which I thought was quite good. It probably won't blow you away as the most amazing salad you've ever eaten but it was fresh and the dressing had a wonderful flavor to it. There was a lot of goat cheese in mine but I liked it! The chickpeas and tomatoes were a great addition as well. And I was surprised I got full from just this salad. Mom got the teriyaki chicken which she also enjoyed and the kids portion was plenty big for her. Simple, healthy, and good tasting food. It's been a while since we've eaten here but it certainly doesn't disappoint. I had the salmon bowl and husband had the shrimp tacos. His tacos were full of shrimp and he loved them. I tried this place for lunch recently. It's a small, Asian/Cuban fusion spot that serves healthy bowls, plates, and sandwiches. There aren't too many tables inside so I wouldn't recommend for large groups. It's better for takeout. There were so many delicious-sounding options to choose from. I finally decided on the Pork Belly Banh Mi sandwich which was similar to and better than the Mendocino Farms one. The portions were huge (I couldn't even finish my sandwich which rarely happens LOL) and they were very generous with the pork belly. It came with a small side salad. Overall delicious, well balanced, and made fresh! I definitely want to come back and try their bowls soon. FYI their bathroom is located outside around the corner. This review is based off delivery but dine in soon. Korean Mexican fusion I was impressed with selections I chose. Fried wonton edamame, tofu tacos, and matcha oatmilk tea. The fried edamame wontons was a surprise. I usually can't digest edamame but how they made it was tolerable, light, and crispy. The tofu tacos were tasty but the chipotle sauce was a bit bland. The salsa tasted fresh and leveled. The matcha was good but I think it was too sweet despite 75% less sweet option, next time I'll op-out of any sweetening but still worth drinking. While I appreciate the owner's response, it doesn't address that they apparently removed grass fed beef from the majority of the menu. If you look closely at the beef descriptions, on all but one item has changed from "grass fed" to "certified angus." Only the burger continues to say "grass fed " which means the owner's statement that they always have and still do serve it, is technically true.... But misleading. Why change /lower the other beef descriptions to "certified angus" if it's actually grass fed (which is considered healthier and higher quality)? If I'm wrong I'm happy to change my review, but it seems like they are playing with semantics. I do appreciate them labeling "certified angus" if that's accurate though. This location is much smaller than the Santa Monica location but the taste is (almost) the same! I got the same dish in Santa Monica as well but the Hermosa Beach location had drier pork. My family ate at Rabano's on 12/21/25. I ordered the Southwestern Chicken Salad, and my 3‑year‑old daughter had the Little Bamba. We ate half of our meals that day and finished the leftovers on the 23rd. On Christmas Eve morning, I woke up violently ill. I spent the next several days isolated in a bedroom, unable to keep anything down, constantly vomiting, and dealing with severe gastrointestinal symptoms. It was the sickest I have ever felt in my life with severe nausea. At the same time, my 3‑year‑old daughter suddenly spiked a 103.5° fever and developed diarrhea. My husband had to rush her to urgent care, and from there she was sent to the ER so she could receive fluids. Watching my child go through that was terrifying. After a week of not improving, I went to urgent care and tested positive for Salmonella poisoning. My daughter also tested positive while she was hospitalized. We are both still dealing with symptoms. I am going on a second strong course of antibiotics today. After my test result was reported, the LA County Department of Public Health contacted me. They told me that another woman in Redondo Beach, who had eaten the same salad on 12/22, also tested positive for Salmonella and had been hospitalized for several days. I later spoke with her and her family, and hearing her story was heartbreaking. LA County has opened an investigation, and I am cooperating fully. I'm sharing what happened to us in hopes that it helps others stay aware and safe. read more

‼URGENT PLEASE READ BEFORE EATING HERE‼ I'm a college student home on break, and this restaurant completely ruined what was supposed to be a relaxing and much-needed time off. On Saturday, 12/20, I ate the Southwestern Chicken Salad from this restaurant. On 12/23, I began experiencing a fever and severe body aches, which I initially assumed were the flu. By 12/25, my symptoms had worsened significantly, and I was in extreme pain and unable to keep down even a sip of water. I was admitted to the hospital and diagnosed with Salmonella. The doctors were very concerned about the severity of my condition, especially given that I am a healthy teenage girl with no underlying health issues. I was hospitalized for five days where I lost an immense amount of weight. More than two weeks later, I am still recovering and have not fully returned to normal. I am confident the salad was the source of the illness, as it was the only item I ate that no one else in my family did. Additionally, another woman and her daughter contracted the same illness after eating the same salad just one day after I did. After sharing my experience on Nextdoor, I also learned that many others have reported poor experiences at this restaurant, often related to overlooked food safety and preparation practices. Rabano is a solid spot that serves up some really delicious fusion of cuisine that's hard to get elsewhere. We're a huge fan of the El Koreano bowls and the Saltados. The flavors are great and it's almost the standard for us. The option to change the base from white rice to ancient grain is also a nice touch as well! My sister loves the Pork Belly Knockout but some reason it's just not for me. A bit too sweet for my taste! Another item that I've been getting recently are their burritos, especially the California. Nothing will ever come close to San Diego's California burritos but Rabano has a solid one! Edamame wontons, sounds weird but it works. Sweet potato fries are a good option as well, but not a fan of either of their other fries. I also really like their Jasmine Milk Tea. I get it at 25% sugar with half & half (there's other milk options), and it is a solid solid milk tea. Dining in can be really hectic since the space is not that big. You can order food either at a self-serve kiosk or with the cashier. All the tables were occupied, with customers constantly walking in to get their orders.
