    Chicken and gyro bowl
    Sara R.

I'm so glad this place opened up next to my work. Such a great location. Their food is very consistent, fresh, and flavorful! I love ordering the gyro and chicken bowl. They have a lot of options for sides and sauces! Very nice owners and nice staff!

The Bowl...healthy and no seed oils
    Toshi I.

Running errands and was drawn by the new signage indicating there are no seed oils which are in just about every package of hummus in stores, so it was nice to try the lunch here. I ordered the bowl and you choose your protein and vegetables. This was perfectly portioned and a good value. The owner was very nice. This is a nice new addition to this strip mall. Check it out for takeout. There are a few tables. I would absolutely return.

    Chicken and beef bowl

I was in the mood for something healthy yet delicious and filling. I saw this new spot on Yelp so I decided to give it a shot. First impression was great! I loved how clean and bright it was inside. I was greeted by staff right away (a greeting goes a long way, tbh), made me feel welcomed and invited. I believe the person who helped me was Leanna and she guided me through the menu and ordering. The menu is not complex, quite straightforward. You can order a bowl, salad, or wrap. You choose your protein, toppings, and sauces. I ordered a bowl with half chicken and beef with rice and carrots. I loved how I could order all the toppings I wanted bc they all looked delicious. You get to choose 3 sauces at the end and I loved the green spicy sauce plus the garlic sauce. I thought for the quality and portion, the price point was adequate. I enjoyed the friendly environment and quick ordering process. I recommend it if youre in the mood for some quick delicious food.

Create your own salad with falafel.

Superb -- both the food and the customer service. I accidentally placed an order for pickup when I meant to order delivery (with little ones, getting out isn't always easy). I called a bit late to cancel, fully expecting I'd need to reorder and possibly lose the original order. Instead, they went above and beyond and told me they would personally deliver it. They had me as a lifelong customer before I even took my first bite. And then the food... incredible. I built my own salad, my husband created his own bowl, and we both chose falafel. I'm vegan and try to eat very clean, and the options were plentiful and thoughtfully prepared. My husband isn't vegan, but even with a veggie bowl this time, there are plenty of meat options he's excited to try in the future. Exceptional service, delicious food, and a business that truly cares about its customers. Thank you, Pita & Basil!

We use Tahini in both our salad dressings lemon and balsamic, Tahini sauce and hummus so those all contain sesame, we don’t use peanuts or any other nuts as long as you don’t get any of those options I mentioned above you should be fine

The pastrami was stacked, perfectly seasoned, and super tender. The bread was toasted just right, the sauerkraut had great balance, and everything came together exactly how a classic Reuben should. The vibe is laid-back, service is friendly, and it's the kind of local spot you end up craving again a few days later. I think these breads and pastries are nice, but what brings the fifth star is when they use their breads for sandwiches. My wife ordered a blanco toast, which had ricotta, avocado, and a bunch more flavor bombs over freshly baked sourdough toast. I highly recommend their 'works" bagel sandwich. I had it on a sesame seed bagel with a very tasty scallion cream cheese. What made it amazing was their use of perfectly ripened, sweet heirloom tomato, thinly sliced red onions, briny capers, delicious olive oil, and fresh dill, that gave perfect balance and perfect seasoning. We sat at a communal bench/table to enjoy our breakfast items (which they stop serving after 10:30); however, we noticed that others were eating some delicious-looking sandwiches served on their fresh baguettes. I know that I have to come back for those!

But if I was in the area, I'd say this was a solid choice if you were looking for a bagel. They also had a lot of different types of pastries -- I noticed a lot people ordering those. We tried their butter croissant and croissant cinnamon roll. The croissant was okay, not the best. The cinnamon roll was tasty, I liked it better than a regular cinnamon roll. We came mainly to try The Works bagel (bagels are served only until 10:30a). I liked that all the other toppings (heirloom tomato, cucumber, onion, dill) helped to balance out the saltiness of the cured salmon. The salmon was so-so though, not really the star. I surprisingly really enjoyed the heirloom tomato, so I'd get probably skip the cured salmon next time and just do the Heirloom Bagel. I also tried their Matcha Einspanner, which was kind of watery. I'd pass on their drinks.

I had a pretty solid positive outlook on them. I ordered the "French Toast Latte". I feel like it should have been called the Burnt toast latte. I genuinely took 3 sips and tossed it away in the trash can on the side walk. I tried to mix it and grabbed a straw to do so and it made it WORSE. I'm extremely disappointed that I wasted $7 on a latte. I've had bad coffees before, but this one took the cake. It tasted like milk, and the espresso tasted acidic, burnt have you. At least with other bad coffees I could stomach at least half of it but this was just really acidic. I noticed other people mentioning the coffee scene in LA isn't the same anymore and this attested to that. They started picking up foot traffic & I wasn't going to wait to ask for a remake or anything, I took the L and life moves on. I wasn't going to play Karen about it. The Lamington pastry somewhat saved the experience. This was an extremely moist, spongy, sweet cake that was delicious with coconut flakes on top. She was AMAZING. I snagged a piece off my friends and it was reeallllly good. I would recommend if you like coconut and a softer spongy cake like pastry! Talk about the underdog in this trip. The aesthetic is cute, it's clean and resembles a house. I like the scheme they have going on. The other half looks like a gift shop that I did not go into. They have a restroom available as well inside. Customer service was just customer service. Nothing amazing or bad about it. Pretty standard.
