I was looking for a good light breakfast/brunch spot in the South Bay and stumbled across this place. I've seen it on social media before but never occurred to me it was close by. I came here on a Sunday morning and it was pretty packed. They serve bagel sandwiches until 10:30am so make sure it be in line before they make the last call. I ordered the BLC and Garden on an everything bagel and it was delicious. I really enjoyed the BLC minus the bagel being a little bit over-baked. Overall, good bagel spot in the South Bay!
I still like this bakery that's pretty close to home. Since they're closed on Monday's and Tuesday's, there was a line out the door when I stopped in this am. Fortunately, the line moved pretty quickly as the staff is efficient and prepared for the Wednesday morning crowd. All of their pastries look delicious. I've had their breads, sandwiches, and scones. Today, I picked up a baguette and am sure it will be good too. This is a very popular bakery for a reason. Get there early for best selection of goodies.
I have to preface this by saying that I went pretty late in the day so there weren't many pastry options left, but I was still hoping that we would get something delicious for dessert. My son and I tried their fudge brownie and a birthday cake cookie sandwich (not sure what it was called). The brownie was a little bitter with too much of a dark chocolate flavor. The salt flakes helped a little but a bit too dark and a little dry for my liking. The cookie sandwich was also cakey and dry with just a bland whipped cream in the center. Wouldn't recommend either of those but I'm also aware we didn't get their more popular options so willing to give it another shot if we are in the area earlier in the day. On the up side, their staff is very friendly and welcoming with good energy even at the end of their workday. Plenty of parking in the plaza they are located in and there is indoor seating and outdoor seating nearby. Hope you check it out and enjoy!
Excellent service and interior ambiance My only complaint is that there was very little strawberry flavor in the strawberry matcha and the matcha itself tasted a bit grainy. Sandwich of the week was absolutely delicious with perfect meat cheese arugula ratio. Would definitely come back again for the bread and try more of their bakery items but wouldn't get their matcha again
Very fun bakery! Lots of sweets and it seems like a lot of fresh breads as well. The vibe is very loud and poppin energy. Plenty of seating to sit and chat and eat. Not quite quite enough of a place to read a book or WFH. I tried the earl grey chocolate chip bread which was DELISH. Crème brule kouign amann was a bit too sweet for me but glad I tried it. Sesame and everything bagel were COVERED in their seasonings which I thought was awesome. I hope they do more bagel flavors. Friendly staff as well. Plenty of parking in the lot. Line can be long/out the door.
There were just a few folks in line around noon on a weekday, although I feared a long line out the door based on some of the more hysterical reviews. Many of the pastries had clearly been picked over by lunchtime but they still had what I wanted to try, in particular, the kouign-amann and the almond croissant. I also ordered an everything bagel and a salted chocolate chip cookie. The cookie was outrageously good. You must get this. I am not the world's biggest everything bagel fan but if there was a contest for everything bagels, this one would win. It is literally covered with everything that makes an everything bagel an everything bagel. You can probably smell this bagel a mile away; the scent is that strong. It was delicious, too. The almond croissant was flaky and flavorful. Although I am a huge kouign-amann fan, this one was a little dry. (Remember, it is pronounced "queen ah-mahn.") It's not that hard. My cold brew was on the smaller side and was just fine. The bread and pastries here are beautiful. I would definitely return to try more of their goods. Plenty of free parking in the lot, although some of the spaces are a little tight.
Phenomenal bakery in Redondo Beach with absolutely delicious pastries. My favorite in the South Bay. Exceptional, huge cinnamon roll with buttery croissant pastry, cold brew glaze and cream cheese frosting - perhaps justifying the hefty $10 price. Flaky and delicious plain buttery croissant - perhaps the best in the South Bay. The citrus morning bun was also bright and flavorful. Friendly and efficient service with lines than can build up but move quickly. Casual ambiance with both indoor and outdoor seating with many families and groups enjoying pastries on a weekend morning.

When I was excitedly debating what to order while we were still in line, my partner told me he's literally never seen me so happy before in my life, and that should tell you a lot about how much I love Tommy and Atticus. I first came here about 3 years ago to grab bagels and cookies with some friends - the bagels are reminiscent of some of the best I've had in NYC. You gotta get it as The Works, the tomato dill combo and house cured salmon are unbeatable. I've also gotten a loaf of cheddar jalapeño sourdough, note that there's a small slicing fee if you want them to cut it for ya. Onto the stars of the show, the laminated pastries. They're buttery, crispy, fantastic blends of flavors, and I ascend to some higher plane of existence when I eat em. I briefly lost my mind when I ordered, and got myself the enormous cinnamon rolls (literally the size of my face), an allium savory square (garlic confit AND caramelized onions?? sign me up for another), the plum fruit tart (custard is perfect), and the strawberry matcha croissant (mmm roasted strawberries and strong matcha flavor in the buttercream). There's usually lines out the doors, and it's worth every minute of the wait. An absolute must try if you're in Redondo Beach.
Boring stuff: easy parking, cashless, easy to access entrance The actual review: Came here for the first time in search of a country loaf. Country load was acquired but I was distracted by everything else. The place is very clean and an easy space to bring friends. They have board games if you guys plan to stay and hang, and their staff is really friendly. We got their sandwich of the week. Their mortadella can def use more pistachios so i hope one day they get better mortadella for the price they charge (lol). We also got their banana fosters croissant, and jalapeno popper croissant. Everything was delicious. My only gripe is that their vietnamese iced coffee can use some work. As a vietnamese coffee drinker, the vietnamese iced coffee sold here can definitely be stronger. Will i come back here? Absolutely. Most likely next weekend.
Came back to try out their other food items. This time, we dined and in. We ordered and sat ourselves indoors. There's a decent amount seating and thankfully there was space to park our stroller. In addition to a few displayed pastry items, we ordered the works bagel and the jam toast. Both were delicious and the flavors were well balanced! For the works bagel, I definitely enjoyed the freshness of the lemon drizzle on the lox, and the capers/dill were a nice savory touch! The highlight of the jam toast was the spread (and of course the jam). Like the last time, the staff are consistently kind and welcoming, while also being efficient despite the business ( I got here at opening and again, there was line out the door). Can't wait to come and try their sandwiches and pizza another time . I'll be back.
Ok, here's a hot tip: Tommy & Atticus has the most wonderful pizza. You have to get there after 1:30. There are several varieties. You never know but they will always be constructed with their amazing sourdough crust. The toppings will be first rate too. I'm reasonably sure I could just drink the sauce by itself. But don't tell anyone I told you. P.S.: They close at 3:00 so don't miss it. I should also mention that they also bake amazing bread and pastries. The scones are unbelievable (especially the blueberry ones). The croissants are so buttery and flaky. There are regular sandwiches on a weekly basis (check for the meat or veggie choices). They also make bagels and bagel sandwiches. And the whole places smells of bread. Ahhhhhh! Is there anything else so wonderful. Oftentimes there's a line, especially at peak times. But everyone's always so happy to be there. The staff is very efficient and kind. If you love things made out of flour you need to make it a point to treat yourself. Just don't tell anyone else.
Tommy and Atticus is a bakery in Redondo Beach that serves fresh-baked breads, bagels, and pastries. I think these breads and pastries are nice, but what brings the fifth star is when they use their breads for sandwiches. My wife ordered a blanco toast, which had ricotta, avocado, and a bunch more flavor bombs over freshly baked sourdough toast. I highly recommend their 'works" bagel sandwich. I had it on a sesame seed bagel with a very tasty scallion cream cheese. What made it amazing was their use of perfectly ripened, sweet heirloom tomato, thinly sliced red onions, briny capers, delicious olive oil, and fresh dill, that gave perfect balance and perfect seasoning. We sat at a communal bench/table to enjoy our breakfast items (which they stop serving after 10:30); however, we noticed that others were eating some delicious-looking sandwiches served on their fresh baguettes. I'd give this place more of a 3.5 rating. It was pretty good, but I wouldn't drive out of my way or crave it. But if I was in the area, I'd say this was a solid choice if you were looking for a bagel. They also had a lot of different types of pastries -- I noticed a lot people ordering those. We tried their butter croissant and croissant cinnamon roll. The croissant was okay, not the best. The cinnamon roll was tasty, I liked it better than a regular cinnamon roll. We came mainly to try The Works bagel (bagels are served only until 10:30a). I liked that all the other toppings (heirloom tomato, cucumber, onion, dill) helped to balance out the saltiness of the cured salmon. The salmon was so-so though, not really the star. I surprisingly really enjoyed the heirloom tomato, so I'd get probably skip the cured salmon next time and just do the Heirloom Bagel. I also tried their Matcha Einspanner, which was kind of watery. I'd pass on their drinks. read more
Good bakery with a variety of bread items, pastries, and flavors! It has a laid back vibe with board games available for guests as well. Ordering was fast and they had friendly service. The bread and pastries were baked and executed well and have subdued, layers of flavor, and crunch. We liked the spinach pastry as well as the creme brulee kouign amann! It is definitely worth a visit if you want some good bread and pastries in the area! read more

everytime i drive by tommy and atticus , which is about 4x a wk, there is always a line to the nail shop. and they are closed mon and tues , btw. i totally thought i scored once when i saw no line. parked and walked up and saw they were closed bc it was a tues. smh. anywoo. i was out running errands on lunch and didnt see a line so made a pit stop. the smell of this bakery ..delightful. the gal was so friendly , i ordered: chocolate fudge brownie $5 chocolate croissant $6 strawberry matcha croissant $8 butter croissant $5 all of it.. 10/10. def will be back to try out their sandwiches and their almond croissant. loved their interior. seating avail inside and outside. parking: plenty of parking. read more
Tommy and Atticus is one of the more popular bakery shops in the South Bay and the shop is known for their sourdough breads that have been fermented for a minimum of 18 hours. Owner Garrett McPerry used to work at Gjusta in 2019 and put 100% of his attention to Tommy and Atticus in 2020. This location is the brick-and-mortar location, but customers will find the bakery at different farmers' markets - Brentwood on Sunday, Larchmont on Wednesday, and Hermosa on Friday. [Parking]: The parking lot within the strip mall is big enough. I didn't have an issue finding a parking spot at 8:30 AM on Saturday. [Atmosphere]: Our party came here and there was already a waiting line. Luckily the wait was only 5 minutes at 8:30 AM on Saturday. Our party came here another time on Sunday and the waiting time was longer (appromxately 15 minutes). There are indoor tables to sit with no outdoor patio area. [Service]: Customers order sandwiches and drinks at the cashier counter. Food came out relatively quickly, but drinks took a little bit too long to prepare (15+ minutes). [Menu]: Some of top Yelp highlighted items are Almond Croissant, Chocolate Croissant, and Ham and Cheese Croissant. Breakfast bagel sandwiches and toasts are served from 7 AM to 10:30 AM. Weekly lunch sandwiches are served at 11AM. Sourdough pizzas are served at 1:30 PM. As for sourdough breads, they have 11 different options (Challah is only available on Friday). Rosemary Garlic Loaf is one of more popular selections and customers will pay an extra $0.75 to have it sliced. *** Almond Croissant ($7.00): Lovely molasses in the middle and crunchy exterior texture - no question it was one of the best almond croissants I have had. Ham + Cheese Croissant ($7.00): I sampled it - good croissant but not as good as almond croissant. Citrus Morning Bun ($5.00): a bit sugary for me but I could taste a note of citrus Rosemary Garlic Loaf - Sourdough Bread ($11.00 - extra $0.75 for sliced): Great sourdough bread and it took me several days to finish the entire loaf. Please note that a loaf will last approximately 5 days on the counter and any exposed parts of the bread should be covered with plastic wrap. The Works (house-cured salmon, heirloom tomato, persian cucumber, fresh dill, shaved red onion, capers, lemon, olive oil, flaky salt, with cream cheese - everything bagel, half for $10.00): It was a surprisingly good lox bagel - fresh salmon and other ingredients tasted fresh. I am a fan of this breakfast bagel sandwich. *** A solid 4.5-star bakery shop with s-tier almond croissants. Stick with almond croissants for the best experience here. Avoid getting drinks here if you are in a big rush. read more

We stop in every time we are in town! They are amazing! Five stars for the food, the service, the people, the other folks in line, it was just so much fun all the way around. Outstanding cinnamon rolls, top-tier bagels, and their worx and BEC bagel are out of this world. We also tried pastries with local blackberries, amazing. There was a reasonable line, but it moved fast. Totally worth the trip!!! read more
LOVEEEED IT!!! Be prepared to wait because line was out of the door, but it was worth it! We arrived on a Saturday morning and we did around 15 minutes before getting to order. As soon as you walk in, you can just smell all of the fresh pastries! They have a really good selection and the presentation of each pastry is great. Everything looks so appetizing. We got a box of a different selection of pastries. I loved the strawberry custard danish!!! It was sooo delicious and the bread was perfectly flaky. I enjoyed it so much. I'm so glad that I finally got to check this place out. Don't be intimated by the line, it goes by quick and is so worth it. For my transaction of 2 drinks and 2 pastries, it was $24, which is a fair price for fresh baked goods. The matcha comes unsweetened, but you can request it to be added or ask for it to add yourself. Checked out Tommy & Atticus on a Friday morning and the line was pretty crazy, but after eating there I could definitely see why. Everything we tried was really well done, and nothing felt like an afterthought. My favorite was easily The Works Bagel Sandwich. It's basically an elevated lox bagel with great flavors all around and something I'd order again without thinking twice. The Mango Rice Pudding Kouign Amann was another standout. I've never had anything quite like it at a bakery before, and it ended up being one of the most memorable pastries we tried. The cinnamon roll was also excellent and honestly one of the best I've had, even though it's not something I order very often. The croissants were all buttery and flaky, and the Strawberry Matcha was a great drink to go with everything. Overall, I left really impressed. Seriously the best baked goods! Our local friends brought us here when we visited for the weekend...every Saturday should start with this! The line was out the door but it went fast. There were tons of goodies to choose from. Don't look at the prices, it's all worth it. My fave was easily the ham and cheese and almond croissants. The works lox on everything bagel was equally amazing, I can't choose. It's all good! We brought boxes home and made our own coffees and teas so next time I'll have to try the drinks. The Baseline: For a bakery the bread has to be crusty, dough-rific goodness, great accompaniments per the bakery's theme, and good coffee/drinks. Food: For my September 21st 2025 visit I got a loaf of Rosemary Garlic Country, Almond Croissants, daily sandwich, and a latte. The Rosemary Garlic Country loaf bread was great with large garlic chunks mixed into the dough to make an amazing bread. The latte was well made with a very ornate foam design. The almond croissant was sweet and layered with flavor. This is truly one of my top ten favorite bakeries in life. Service: Great, fast, efficient service from staff and I really appreciate the foam design extra touch on my latte. Ambiance: There is a great communal feel to the ambiance in the bakery from the staff to the patrons. read more

Update: After posting this review, the owner reached out, investigated the concerns with the baking team, and offered a refund. I appreciated the thoughtful and professional response and declined the offer. While my experience with the pastries remains unchanged, I am adding back a star to reflect the way the feedback was handled and the owner's genuine interest in improving both the products and the customer experience. read more

Loved the almond croissant. Very pricey though. I think it was like $7-8 bucks. I didn't go down to buy it, but my SO got it. Ate it after my Jus' Poke. It was a delicious dessert. Would come back again. I didn't go down, so not sure what else is good at this place. read more

This place is fire!! Hands down best bakery in the South Bay. I've been twice and my favorites are the croissants, pizza!!! and chocolate chip cookies! I also enjoyed the scones and cafe con leche and sour dough bread. I did not like the avocado toast but that doesn't take away stars since everything else was beyond perfect. Totally casual and comfortable neighborhood gem, where you can bring your laptop and get stuff done or your dog/baby and get nothing done! Can't wait to go back again and again! read more
Came here on a Saturday afternoon and the line wasn't too long. There was plenty of seats inside and outside. I also appreciated the open wood aesthetic and greenery. I got the lemon mascarpone croissant, which had a refreshing tart taste, and the seasonal strawberry pastry with a classic creamy middle. The box was a bit small, and the top of the lemon croissant was unfortunately crushed. Both pastries were crispy and flaky on the outside, but slightly dense on the inside. Still very delicious. It is soooo busy here during weekday mornings, I think everyone stops by after dropping off their kids at school. Small space, very friendly and patient staff. I got a coffee and it was okay. Also got a an everything bagel and an egg/bacon bagel and it almost tasted a little too burnt .. had half of both and I was soooo stuffed, could t eat anything for the rest of the day. Maybe next time I will eat only one half! Also got their jalapeño sourdough and it was a 10/10 Was Hopi g this place would be my go to spot in the mornings but felt too heavy for me for breakfast. This place is local bakery gem for all your bread needs. I've tried their breads and they're all great and worth taking home as it's freshly made. I love their baguettes and other special breads. Their cookies and pastries are also very good. They've expanded their menu as far as brjnfj goes and I got the classic bagel with lox. It was kinda fishy which I was disappointed but I want to go back and try their breakfast bagel sandwich. The coffee is ok. The lines are super long given the popularity so I suggest you go earlier or off times. I'm very glad this bakery establishment has decided to choose the southbay to sell it's bready goods. read more
Super delicious bakery!! We love the pistachio pastry and bagels, super chewy and soft. all the pastries look so good i'd be back to try more! there can be a line but it moves fast, order pastries in line and bagels at the counter. i wouldn't recommend their coffee though. there's a few tables inside and out. definitely coming back to try more pastries! read more

Do you use organic flour in the bread and pastries?
Yes we exclusively use organic flour in all of our bread, pastries and bagels. We use central milling flour for all of our bread, pastries and bagels.
Any chance you'll be selling sourdough stuffing for Thanksgiving?
Hello! We will not be selling any sourdough stuffing for Thanksgiving. We will have pies (Dutch apple, maple pecan and pumpkin) available for Thanksgiving

Hello! Yes all of our loaves are traditional sourdough loaves using only organic flour, water and salt.

Hello! Thank you for your question. We currently do not sell Kimchi scones. We sell a bacon cheddar scone and a blueberry and lemon zest scone.
Do you have spelt sourdough bread?
Hello! Thank you for your inquiry. We currently do not bake any spelt sourdough at Tommy and Atticus. We use an organic wheat flour grown and milled in Utah for our sourdough loaves. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
