    Raspberry tart for 8people ($40)
    Claryssr B.

Quick recap: - Food: Tasty - Portion size: Average - Service: Nice - Environment: Bakery with tables inside and outside - $: Average - Perks: N/A Overall? Excellent French bakery, from a French patissier! More details: Morning of, I thought no French bakery would be able to make a cake for later in the afternoon, when we were celebrating a birthday. After a quick call, the French owner advised me on which fruits were in season and would taste better, and we settled on a raspberry tart (a French classic). He baked it that afternoon and called me when it was ready, around 4pm. I am French and can attest the quality of the food and the work. Will come back soon!

    Croquembouche

My mom is still raving about her 80th birthday "cake", days after the event. This beautifully crafted Croquembouche was so unique and every bite was delicious. The hand made marzipan flowers and spun sugar swirls were just gorgeous and the overall presentation was amazing. It was truly a work for art. Well worth the price for something so unique to celebrate a milestone birthday!

Food, coffee, outdoor space and service is great every time. I come here in passing or when I bring my car for a car wash.

The Adore cafe is well located with ample parking and plenty of seating space both inside and out. I found the restaurant to be very clean and pleasant on the eye. This was my first time at this business so I didn't have time to make an overall impression of their baking products. However, I wasn't really happy about their cappuccino-- it tasted very much like it wasn't made with whole milk, so that was disappointing, plus it was way too hot. I also purchased the almond croissant which for me wasn't that good either. The owner was very talkative and gave us an insight to the business and also the process of making their products which was really interesting. I think they could definitely improve things here by taking away the dirty dishes drop point which is at the door. I just get a bad vibe when you walk into a restaurant and immediately see the dirty dishes. Coffee wise -- maybe I caught them on a bad day but it wasn't really something I'll want to repeat. The other problem with Adore is that they have competition from a few other French-styled bakeries which offer more authentic dishes-- just my opinion. But overall the plusses perhaps outweigh the negatives.

Authentic French patisserie with yummy sweet and savory options. If you're looking for authentic French items and flavors come to Adore. The flavors are definitely truer to what they're supposed to be vs. what you taste (and may like) at a more mainstream bakery, so it's helpful to know which your palate prefers. Or you can come to Adore and find out! There is an afternoon tea set for $35 that comes with 6 sweet and savory items (chef's choice) and a drink. The staff are wonderful and accommodating and the cafe is adorable. Love both the indoor and outdoor seating. Perfect for a coffee and small bite or lunch meet up with friends.

So very glad to have found this gem of a place, I just do not understand how I missed it before. Finally! a real patisserie, fine pastries and tastefully made baked goods without the overdone, bigger is better madness. I was having a rotten day, pulled up to their parking lot to gather my thoughts, then I saw this place and was immediately intrigued. I had an Americano, their rum dessert and the sand cookie. The coffee was made to perfection, perfect ratio of espresso and water. The dessert was to die for, so moist and every bite I took and sip of coffee healed my heart. Service: Engaging, friendly, treated me like a person, not the dismissive standoffish places across the South Bay. She was super nice, I believe she and her husband are the owners. Everyone was pleasant and the ambiance has great Feng Shui, good vibes and tastefully set up. I'm looking forward to returning.

So nice to have an expanded menu at my favorite French pâtisserie! Stopped by for lunch of soup (today's choices were curry carrot and mushroom), salad and quiche. Everything was delicious as always, (with the quiche heated top your preferred temperature of piping hot or warm). I took home some chocolate macarons, a baguette, mushroom pâté, black forest ham, ham and cheese croissant, and my favorite chocolate dipped sablé cookie. You really can't go wrong with anything here, just take something to go if you can decide what to eat!

    3rd time trying their pastries

Was looking for any new dessert places in the area. Came early in the morning and later on at lunch hour. There were a few more pastries were ready at lunch time. Sweets: 1. Redwood: Chocolate mousse cake with raspberry filling. Chocolate is more overpowering. Can't really taste the tangy sweetness of the raspberry. 2. Emerald: Pistachio sponge cake with cream and raspberry coulis. I liked this one better because you can taste the raspberry. Can't taste the pistachio though. Got this as a a whole cake. The writing on the cake wasn't a bit inconsistent/thin. 3. Cream puff: very good and full of cream. Tried the vanilla, black sesame and pistachio another day but for some reason the custard/cream wasn't as good. 4. Chocolate eclair: there was a good amount of filling. pretty good 5. Tiramisu cups: Overall well balanced for the coffee flavor. 6. Panna cotta cups: The raspberry was dominant in the panna cotta and the panna cotta might be a bit thin. Still good. 7. Creme brulee: the toast it on site when you order. not too sweet and was creaminess was just right 8. Pear tarte: I think other people might like this. has a slight almong/marzipan flavor that I personally don't like much. 9. Napoleon: flaky crust. Custard was good. Savory: 1. Onion mushroom quiche/Veggie quiche: a little bland 2. Spinach quiche: not bad but the cheese here is a bit too strong. 3. Pork shallot puff: The filling/flavor wasn't to my taste. 4. Cream of mushroom soup: Thin and not thick creamy. Still has a lot of mushroom flavor. Would recommend adding a bit of salt. 5. Green pea soup: Similar consistency to the mushroom soup. Not bad, but I think the mushroom is better. 6. Potato au gratin: didn't really like this. A bit expensive too. Service was good every time I've gone. The lady at the cashier is always nice and explains how to reheat the items. They seem to source their ingredients from Italy and other countries for better quality. The only negative is with the boxing. At some pastry shops, if the cakes don't fill the box, the empty space would be filled with a circular cardboard filler or the cakes will be taped down to prevent them from moving around. I mention this because one time the cakes didn't quite fit the box and the tiramisu cup tipped over and got all over some of the other pastries. There are still quite a few items to try especially the dine in foods. The sweets are better than their savory. Overall, 3.75.

Ordered chai tea latte with a few small desserts while waiting for lunch.
    Local L.

My friend and I went to this cozy adorable dessert shop on Friday afternoon. We each had a soup- and split a sandwich. My french onion soup was amazing- by far the best I have had. We ordered chai lattes, the offer variety of drink/ coffee options. The desserts- The display case is first thing you see when you walk in! Everything looked so good. Homemade- delicate- pastries, ganache, cannoli and so many more. After eating we had to take dessert to go- but we had tried a couple small items with our tea. Nothing was not amazing. I can not wait to take more friends! Its a perfect place for a girls day, lunch date, afternoon meeting, or a solo break! Just go try it- it wont dissapoint!! Oh- how did I forget- the staff, all were kind, knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and love their job-

This is a bakery/café in a strip mall. The premises are of moderate size with plenty of seating, including outdoor seating. The have a cashier stand with bakery shelves to both sides and books detailing their (non baked) food items. The service was really friendly with whom I presume is the owner talking lively about their baker, a 3rd generation patissier from France and the authenticity of their baked goods. She described the importance of technique and value and origins of quality ingredients. The food was fantastic. I had a creme brulee cake that had a light sweetness (along the rest of their baked goods) and could taste the hints of cocoa and cream used in the layers between the pastry. The croissants were deliciously crispy and sufficiently airy while providing a rich buttery taste. All in all, something worth checking out in the area. As an additional note, they offer a tea/coffee time, including a mix of pastries (min 6) and coffee/tea 2pm to 5pm everyday they are open for $33 at time of writing. I hope I get to check it out sometime.

Individual slices of Mt. Whitney on the left and Mont Blanc on the right.

The most delicious desserts! I just tried the individual Mont Blanc and also the individual Mt. Whitney. Both absolutely enjoyable so I'm positive the other items will be just as good! I also need to come back to try the afternoon tea in the future.

    So many great pastries

A friend recommended I try Adore Dessert Cafe just down the way from the Redondo Beach Pier. I was skeptical and didn't go right away. I've been to Paris and it's like a Philly Cheese Steak, its not the same outside of Philly. My mistake. Chef Patrick has brought Paris to South Bay. Everything is made from scratch. These aren't your Costco Croissants that last a week. The finest sourced ingredients. For example, the Croissants take 3 days to make!!!! So buttery and flaky. I have to keep myself from going every day. It's like an escape from preservatives. The Cafe Viennois is basically 1 or 2 shots of espresso with a dollop of Chantilly Cream.... they balance each other out and it's divine. Smooth earthy espresso and that fresh sweetness. A coffee lovers dream. My daughter had an iced latte and she said it was the best she's had in the US. My daughter spent 2 years in France, speaks French rather fluently and had a nice conversation with Patrick... I didn't understand what they said, but I'm sure it was about my receding hairline and how many grey hairs were the result of her upbringing. But I digress... The croissants are all amazing, but the butter croissant, so simple but elegant... just you and the butter. C'est tres bien. I'm not sure if it's right, but lol... For some extra punch, the ham and cheese croissant was perfect for breakfast and paired well with the Cafe Viennois. I could drink these all day. I've tried several of the pastries and they are all 5 star. Nothing overly sweet, subtle with purpose... to make you happy... to forget about politics, the economy or those kids riding bikes all over the road. But my favorite bite so far is the Pistachio Choux a la Creme. AKA cream puff. Wow... that creme just is pure bliss. The pastry and creme meld together like two lovers dancing on your tongue. I could gain lbs on lbs eating these. Service is amazing... the staff is as passionate about things as Patrick who is delightful to talk to. If you drive by at 2am you will see the lights on, that is when he starts baking for the day. Stop what you are doing. Drive as far as you need to, fly if you must, but go visit Adore and escape from reality!

Stopped here while on a walk exploring the area. I love that it felt like, just for a moment, I was in France. The staff were kind, warm, and welcoming. They have great dessert options, from your traditional macarons to French chocolate mousse cake. I got the Nectarine Tart. It was delicious, fresh, and flaky. The only thing I would've done better was asked for it warmed up. There's plenty of seating inside and outside. Decorated with Eiffel Tower trinkets and there's jazz playing in the background, which I thought was nice touch. The next time I'm in town I'll definitely try more of their menu options.

I think these breads and pastries are nice, but what brings the fifth star is when they use their breads for sandwiches. My wife ordered a blanco toast, which had ricotta, avocado, and a bunch more flavor bombs over freshly baked sourdough toast. I highly recommend their 'works" bagel sandwich. I had it on a sesame seed bagel with a very tasty scallion cream cheese. What made it amazing was their use of perfectly ripened, sweet heirloom tomato, thinly sliced red onions, briny capers, delicious olive oil, and fresh dill, that gave perfect balance and perfect seasoning. We sat at a communal bench/table to enjoy our breakfast items (which they stop serving after 10:30); however, we noticed that others were eating some delicious-looking sandwiches served on their fresh baguettes. DineLA Food & Drink Order ($15): Breakfast Plate: Blueberry Cinnamon Pancakes with 2 Bacon Strips & 2 Eggs (sunny-side up) $15.95 Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte $6.95 Server/Bartender: Andrew I have been a long time fan of Kirari West Bake Shop when it opened with much fanfare as a 100% gluten-free Japanese bakery with treats that defy the common undesirable traits of gluten-free goods: dense, dry, &/or gritty. When Kirari West Bake Shop (refer to Review #290) opened sister bakery, Confections by Kirari West, a couple of years ago, I bookmarked them for a visit but didn't get around to it until I saw them on 2026 DineLA. The confections bakery also sits in King Harbor Plaza, but south of its sister between Glaze Craze & King Harbor Spa, serving all-day breakfast, burger, sandwiches, & pizzas with teas, coffees, & smoothies. According to Andrew, KWBS bakes bread for CBKW & CBKW bakes treats & doughnuts for KWBS. Still not quite understanding the difference because KWBS also serves breakfast but in sandwiches & french toasts, & paninis, sandwiches, & salads. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Initially focused solely on baked goods: artisan breads, scones, & Bake-At-Home gluten-free flour mixes, CBKW has evolved their menu to include sandwiches, pizza, quinoa bowls, & smoothies. The DineLA menu offered 3 options, & I deliberated between pancakes & chicken burger. I chose the Blueberry Cinnamon Pancakes because they looked fluffy & divine in the owner pic; it includes 2 Bacon Strips & 2 Eggs (cooked sunny-side up). And picked an Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte with less ice for my drink. It was quiet for an early lunch, & a couple of ladies walked in after I finished ordering. The bakery cafe has its cozy charm with a lovely black & white mural on the right long wall that's great for selfies or social posts. There's 4 2-tops & counter seating facing the plaza/parking lot, no restroom (assuming sister KWBS will let you use theirs), & plenty of parking though it'll be challenging during lunch & dinner rush with so many eateries in the plaza. Andrew makes an awesomely refreshing Strawberry Matcha Latte that rivals those from boba shops! Balanced sweetness with earthy, grassy matcha & generous dollops of real, sweet strawberry purée... soooooo good! Though smaller & a bit pricier than boba shops, it's a top-notch drink. My pancakes came shortly after; smells great but looks nothing like the pic, not fluffy, not golden. I love eating pancakes no matter the time of day, & these Blueberry Cinnamon Pancakes had comforting notes of cinnamony warmth with random sweet bursts of blueberries. The texture is notably moist & airy, & not reminiscent of typical gluten-free foods which are dry & dense. Typical bacon & eggs, nothing unusual... I prefer thick cut bacon & on the crisper side, but the eggs were perfectly cooked, the whites were set with a runny yolk & crisp, brown edges. It was just enough to satisfy my hunger & quench my thirst. I'm lucky that I don't have any food allergies or restrictions. People with celiac disease require a gluten-free diet, & cooking/baking challenges stem from the lack of gluten for moisture, elasticity, & structure. Customers should know that Confections by Kirari West is a dedicated gluten-free bakery, so there's no worries of cross-contamination. I don't know how Chef Hiro Saito creates this tasty, gluten-free deliciousness here & KWBS... he uses high quality rice flour instead of wheat to create his delectable pastries. On 07/2025, CBKW along with sister KWBS were both designated as a Blue Zones Project Approved Restaurant. This means they're certified to offer healthier, longevity-focused menu options based on plant-slant & whole-food principles like those in Okinawa, Japan or Sardinia, Italy. Quality ingredients... craftsmanship... & sincerity... check, check, & check!! Yeah, I got you in my corner Confections by Kirari West! Recommended: Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte, Blueberry Cinnamon Pancakes with Bacon & Eggs.

So first things first, be aware that this Paris Baguette is actually inside Hannam Chain Supermarket at Village Del Amo on the southwest corner of Torrance and Hawthorne. I didn't know it at the time, so I circumnavigated the plaza, looking for Paris Baguette signage like I usually do for the other standalone locations. After stopping my car somewhere in the plaza, I had to double-check the location to be inside the Hannam Chain Supermarket, which I had just literally passed by minutes ago. D'oh! lol I hadn't even heard of Hannam Chain Supermarket, so I took some time to explore the store even though Paris Baguette is literally closest to the entrance. The overall selection of baked goods kind of disappointed me because it felt like there were fewer choices of pastries here compared to the other locations I've been to before. However, oddly enough, they had more selections available! I think it's because they have time stamps listed on each pastry so that the pastries are inside the display case for no more than 4 hours. I thought the pastries would have remained good at least until the end of the day, so to hear of their 4 hour shelf life was a bit surprising to me. For the record, I've been to several other Paris Baguettes before, but this was the first time I noticed these time stamps. Even though the variety of pastries was not as much compared to the other standalone locations, I still had a difficult time deciding which pastry to get! However, I noticed a new flavor of a supreme croissant I hadn't seen before: pink velvet. I've heard of red velvet, but not pink, and presuming that this is a seasonal offering for Valentine's Day, I figured it would be the perfect opportunity to try one before that special day. They had other supreme croissant flavors like chocolate and salted caramel pretzel, but I'm sure those flavors will be offered for much longer than the pink velvet. I do remember trying a strawberry supreme croissant from the Cerritos location, so perhaps after Valentine's Day, that would take the place of the pink velvet. After grabbing one of two Pink Velvet Supreme Croissants left in the display case, I made my way around and to the register. Phone in hand, I had the Paris Baguette app pulled up to redeem my reward. Actually, a good part of me had thought that this location inside Hannam Chain wouldn't honor my reward because for Tous Les Jours, the locations inside Hmart wouldn't be eligible for earning points or redeeming rewards. Luckily, Paris Baguette is not Tous Les Jours, and I was able to redeem my reward with no trouble. The cashier who rang me up was pretty friendly as well. She placed my Pink Velvet Supreme Croissant in a small paper bag and wished me a good day. While there are a handful of tables inside the food hall portion of Hannam Chain, most were occupied by customers of other eateries, so I simply went outside to enjoy my free sweet treat. The pink velvet ruby chocolate that covered the top portion of the round croissant didn't have nearly as much flavor, though the Valentine's sprinkles on top did make for a nice touch at least. Also, the custard cream inside didn't taste like anything at all! It wasn't bad, but it makes me wonder how much more flavorful the salted caramel pretzel would have been. I'll be sure to get that on my next visit to a Paris Baguette! I got the croissant about 2.5 hours after they were prepared, so maybe they would have tasted better had I gone 2 hours earlier? Lastly, I'm kind of shocked that this is pretty much the only Paris Baguette location in the South Bay. With how expansive a city like Torrance is, you would think they'd have at least a second location elsewhere like in Hmart. Otherwise, the next closest location would be in Long Beach, which literally just opened at The Pike Outlets. Overall, it's not a bad Paris Baguette to go to, but if you live in the South Bay, you'd be better off downloading the 85C Bakery app over the Paris Baguette app as there are much more 85C locations in the area. Also, this Paris Baguette may not necessarily carry your favorite pastries here, so heed caution if you plan to go out of your way to visit this patisserie.
