I wanted to update my review because my most recent visit completely changed my experience. As…read morealways, the food and pastries were amazing, but what truly stood out this time was the service. Anais was incredibly sweet, welcoming, and attentive, and she made us feel genuinely comfortable and appreciated from the moment we walked in. She's so nice and positive energy made such a difference and really elevated the entire experience. This visit reminded me why Sweet Wheat has so much potential not just because of the quality of the food, but because of team members like Anais who truly care about customers. I'm happy to say I'll definitely be coming back. Thank you, Anais, for such a lovely experience!

Got the smoked salmon croissant sandwich, quiche, iberico ham baguette, chocolate croissant, tarte tatin, chocolate almond French toast. Overall everything was good. Our fav was the quiche and French toast. Still in search of a great chocolate croissant. Would likely go back to try other items. I got a latte and my mom got a cappuccino. My latte was just ok but my mom thought the cappuccino was really good. Service was good. I was pretty indecisive going back and forth looking through the options and the guy was very patient. (No one was behind me in line). He was helpful with his recommendations on what to get.

At first, you'd be confused since you're not sure what type of food they have to offer. I ordered…read moremyself the Yasai Bolognese and my lady got herself the Unicorn Bolognese. They were both made with Wagyu beef, which has lots of flavor in the sauce. The pasta as very well prepared!! The service is great, very respectful and responsive, although we arrived at 2:30p on a Friday which was a holiday (not so busy). Loved what they did with the space. They have multiple tables indoor and a cute little outdoor seating area with heaters if need be. They have a few parking spots, but they're in the back of the building. They only have one restroom which was very well maintained as well. Overall highly recommend this place. Ivan was very helpful!!

I just remember waiting quite a long time since the house was packed on a Friday evening. Came today (also on a Friday evening), and they asked if we made a reservation, which felt silly because the restaurant was basically empty! Joined the waitlist anyways, we were the first in line, and they seated us like a minute later. I love the ambiance and bistro feel, especially the caligraphy on the walls and the open kitchen. The lights were flickering a bit, and it was slightly stuffy as well. The menu is designed beautifully; everything was designed to point to the food, pique interest. The Uni Truffle pasta was ok; couldn't make out either uni or truffle flavors, but it tasted great. It did leave a profound fishy aftertaste in my mouth though. From the one bite I had, I liked the Yuzu Peperoncino better; perfect balance of umami, tang, and spice. I remember appreciating the al dente noodles then, and I still appreciate it now. On the pricier side, I really do wish bread was offered (the only bread on the menu being $6 garlic bread for two slices). Great date spot, would come again for special occassions. Keep it up!

Over the weekend I tried Moom Maam's Artisanal Thai Gelato and am now obsessed…read more I hadn't planned on getting dessert at 10am at Smorgasburg, but I did plan on a coffee. When scanning the shops for a caffeination boost, I couldn't stop thinking about the "Over Caffeinated Cold Brew Float" I saw advertised at Moom Maam. So intriguing! I circled back and ordered the indulgent morning treat, slightly skeptical of such a mix. I'm happy to report though that yes, it was a monstrosity to have first thing in the morning but I'd do it again in a second. You get to pick what flavor gelato is in the coffee and I went with chocolate to which they replied, great choice! I agree, it was such a good mix with the cold coffee brew. The gelato was so creamy with amazing flavor, I can't wait to come back and try more off their menu!

Tried Moom Maam at Smorgasburg Los Angeles at ROW DTLA, the big Sunday pop-up food event downtown…read more The event itself was pretty cool, although a few of the vendors I was hoping to try apparently didn't show up that day. Luckily this was one of the stands that had good reviews, so I gave it a shot. Between the language barrier and my excitement for dessert, I somehow ended up ordering more than I planned. The ice cream was good and the Asian-inspired flavors were definitely different from the usual. It didn't completely blow my socks off, but it was a solid treat. I kept thinking a little syrup or extra topping would've taken it up another level. Overall, glad I tried it. Half the fun of these food events is randomly discovering stuff you normally wouldn't eat anyway. I'd probably check out their Torrance brick-and-mortar location sometime and give them another shot.

We decided to visit Riviera village after a relaxing morning stroll through Torrance Beach. Since…read moreit was almost noon, we searched on Yelp and decided to have some crepes for lunch. The restaurant has inside seating for 40 guests and outside for 30. We arrived between breakfast and lunchtime and were able to get the last outside table. The attentive staff got us seated right away, and after browsing through their menu, we ordered the following items (arrived in 15 minutes) : Marine: The buckwheat outer layer was soft, not soggy, and with nice resistance. The light creamy tomato-based dressing with sliced mushrooms was pleasantly flavorful. Both shrimp and scallops were of good size, fresh and juicy. Fromage: Like Marine Crepe, the buckwheat out layer was soft. The mild brie cheese provided pleasant creaminess to the filling. Seasoned bacon, scrambled egg, onion, and mushroom added nice savoriness to the dish. The portions were sensible and the prices were reasonable. Very nice culinary experience.
