Melanie is a Macaron extraordinaire. I order 200 for my 5th anniversary of my store. She delivered on time and all my customers raved about them. We had so many flavors and it's hard to pick my favorite but I will, Thai Tea. I lost track of how many people came up and asked where she is located because they were the best they ever tasted. I will be ordering again soon I am sure.

I met Melanie at the TORRANCE Farmers Market and was delighted to find so many tropical flavors of macaron to choose from and sample. She also always takes the time to give me tips on baking macaron at home, which I'm still struggling to master. During the COVID19 shutdown, I saw that Melanie was donating yummy baked goods at her own expense to local hospitals. That makes me an even more loyal customer and I'm telling all my friends to order from her. As a birthday gift to myself, I ordered cupcakes to be sent to a local TORRANCE hospital and had a dozen macaron sent to my house. Support small business. Give back to our community. Flatten the curve, not my stomach.

Stopped by because I heard they had macarons. They also provided samples to try! Prices are reasonable too... $2 each, or 6 for $11.50. My husband and I tried them once we got home and we both thought they were very good. Will be back to try some other flavors next time I'm at the Farmer's Market in Torrance.

Some of the best macaroons I've had before. The flavors were so spot on. I loved all the Asian flavors she has available (buko Pandan, ube, leche flan, black sesame) aside from the typical flavors like strawberry and chocolate (Nutella), etc. One order comes with two of the same flavors nicely packaged and in a box, great as a gift. You can find her at her booth at the Wilson Park Farmers Market in Torrance, find her on Instagram @munchbakeryla or place an order on her website. I think she also does cakes and other desserts besides macaroons. The owner was so nice when we saw her at the farmers market. I'll definitely return to support a small business with delicious desserts!

Free Samples!! One taste and I was hooked! I ordered a box of 6 for $11.50 (ube, black sesame, flan leche, lime, pandan & horchata). The lady was nice and I will be back for more! *Located at the Torrance Farmers Market*

Munchin on some delicious macarons! I spotted these cute and colorful macarons at the Torrance Farmers Market and I just had to try them! The variety delicious flavors to choose from is wonderful. Munch Bakery popular macaron flavors include black sesame, green tea, nutella, salted caramel, vanilla and white raspberry. There's also some unique flavors like maple bacon, chai tea and thai tea. What really caught my eye though were the Filipino flavored macarons. I've never ever had macarons with a Filipino twist and this intrigued me. I chose to get two macarons in the flavor of two of my favorite Filipino desserts: Leche Flan and Ube. Leche flan is my favorite Filipino dessert! Similar to the sweet custard dessert, Munch Bakery's leche flan macaron is sweet and creamy. The best surprise however came with the ube Macaron. This macaron tasted just like ube! At first bite, I could instantly taste the ube or purple yam jam taste. This is not just a purple macaron, this is the Filipino dessert ube in macaron form. It's spot on and delicious. I love macarons and am also a fan of Filipino desserts and thus so happy to have found a place that combines both. I cannot wait to try the other Filipino flavored macarons that Munch Bakery has to offer. Buko Pnadan, Maja Blanca, and Matamis na Bao macaron, I've got my eye on you ;).

I am a big fan of macarons so I was super excited to hear that they had a stand at the Torrance Farmers Market! I went on a Saturday morning and got a box of 6 macarons for $10. They had so many unique flavors that I wanted to try and it was hard to pick just 6! I tried the following: Earl Grey Ube Horchata Coconut Pandan(?) I forget the exact name but it was something like that. PB & J Salted Caramel All the macarons were fresh and the textures were all on point! I like when my macarons have a slight chewy texture to them. They were also very flavorful! I liked all of them! My favorites though were the salted caramel and horchata. I can't wait to try the other flavors! I'm so glad we finally have a really good macaron place in Torrance! I will definitely be back! They also take special orders and do catering (free delivery in the South Bay)! I'm definitely going to keep them in mind for future events. :)

    Yummy in mah tummy.

Munch Bakery seems to be making way in the bakery game... and their macarons are winners. Melanie, who I believe is the owner, is incredibly nice. It's hard to put into words how polite and courteous she is, and she's so fun to talk to. She's incredibly hilarious, and on top of all that, she's professional and on top of her game. I first heard of her from the Farmers Market. She had flavors of macarons that i never knew existed. Asian, or should I say, Filipino flavors! I was in heaven, I bought the combination pack she had there, and took her business card with me. Follow her on Instagram, and you will get updates on what she's currently working on. You can msg her, or call her, and she can get fresh macarons out to you ASAP. I believe she can do big events too, so make sure you give her a call before going to Bouchon's or something... Because this is far from mass produced Macarons, each one tastes like love and care (corny i know, but its hard to explain! LOL) Overall, love this place, love Melanie, and IN LOVE with her Macarons.

    Unique flavors!
    Connie L.

My friend had these delivered from California! Sadly all of them were crushed during the delivery process but the owner gladly sent us a new pack.. Still waiting on its delivery The flavors were amazing! Very unique and loved that you can actually taste the flavors unlike a lot of places where the macarons are super sweet with just a hint of the intended flavor. Love the texture too. If they weren't crushed they would've been perfect. Favorites were the black sesame, The ube- can't taste too much of the ube. *** sadly the second batch was also crushed. they definitely need to find better packaging.

Smash cake. French toast cake with cream cheese icing! So good!

Not only are her macarons delicious, but she makes amazing cakes!! We have been in quarantine so celebrating my son's first birthday was not going to be anything major but I knew I wanted to have a good smash cake for my son & my family of 4 to enjoy! Best decision ever! We are not big on sweet icing and the cream cheese icing is the perfect amount of sweetness. She made the cake exactly what I requested and it matched perfectly to my decorations. Highly recommend!

Thank you Melanie! You offered every detail requested and it was a hit. It was super easy to locate you at the Torrance Farmers Market and be greeted by your kindness. Everyone could not get over how amazing the Ube and French toast layers complimented perfectly. I could not believe the quick feedback everyone gave. The bride to be honestly wanted to save the cake and stop giving out slices.

Excitingly opening her 1st box of Macarons

The macarons are with quality. I m not into Macha, my daughter is but the Macha cake that Melanie makes is delish!

[Parking]: The bakery has a small private parking lot and I had no issue finding an available spot on a weekday. [Atmosphere]: The bakery has both indoor and outdoor tables. [Menu]: The #1 baked good to order here is the Almond Croissant, but they ran out of the regular almond croissant at 12:45 PM on Sunday during my first visit. I was pretty determined to get it so I came back the next day at 10 AM and was able to get one. They also offer mini versions of select croissants, quiche, sandwiches, salads, coffee, tea, etc. *** Quiche Lorraine (Madrange Parisian Ham, Emmental Swiss Cheese, Cage Free Organic Eggs Filling, and Chives - $10.95): The employee kindly warmed it up for me and it was the last one on Sunday afternoon. It had an amazing melt-in-your-mouth texture. Mini Almond Chocolate Croissant (Laminated Puff Pastry, French Isigny Butter, Almond Cream, Chocolate & Sliced Almond - $4.45): It was cold so didn't have a soft texture. The chocolate was a bit overpowering. Blueberry Madeleine (French Traditional Flour, French Isigny Butter, Blueberry Jam & Cake Free Organic Eggs - $4.25): A solid pastry. Mini Almond Croissant (Laminated Puff Pastry, French Isigny Butter, Almond Cream & Sliced Almond - $3.95): I liked it better than the almond chocolate croissant because it had molasses instead of chocolate (the molasses tasted less overpowering). *** I highly recommend Quiche Lorraine and Almond Croissant, but I have to admit these baked goods aren't exactly affordable. P.S. - The bakery has a rewards program ($5 off birthday reward).

So first things first, be aware that this Paris Baguette is actually inside Hannam Chain Supermarket at Village Del Amo on the southwest corner of Torrance and Hawthorne. I didn't know it at the time, so I circumnavigated the plaza, looking for Paris Baguette signage like I usually do for the other standalone locations. After stopping my car somewhere in the plaza, I had to double-check the location to be inside the Hannam Chain Supermarket, which I had just literally passed by minutes ago. D'oh! lol I hadn't even heard of Hannam Chain Supermarket, so I took some time to explore the store even though Paris Baguette is literally closest to the entrance. The overall selection of baked goods kind of disappointed me because it felt like there were fewer choices of pastries here compared to the other locations I've been to before. However, oddly enough, they had more selections available! I think it's because they have time stamps listed on each pastry so that the pastries are inside the display case for no more than 4 hours. I thought the pastries would have remained good at least until the end of the day, so to hear of their 4 hour shelf life was a bit surprising to me. For the record, I've been to several other Paris Baguettes before, but this was the first time I noticed these time stamps. Even though the variety of pastries was not as much compared to the other standalone locations, I still had a difficult time deciding which pastry to get! However, I noticed a new flavor of a supreme croissant I hadn't seen before: pink velvet. I've heard of red velvet, but not pink, and presuming that this is a seasonal offering for Valentine's Day, I figured it would be the perfect opportunity to try one before that special day. They had other supreme croissant flavors like chocolate and salted caramel pretzel, but I'm sure those flavors will be offered for much longer than the pink velvet. I do remember trying a strawberry supreme croissant from the Cerritos location, so perhaps after Valentine's Day, that would take the place of the pink velvet. After grabbing one of two Pink Velvet Supreme Croissants left in the display case, I made my way around and to the register. Phone in hand, I had the Paris Baguette app pulled up to redeem my reward. Actually, a good part of me had thought that this location inside Hannam Chain wouldn't honor my reward because for Tous Les Jours, the locations inside Hmart wouldn't be eligible for earning points or redeeming rewards. Luckily, Paris Baguette is not Tous Les Jours, and I was able to redeem my reward with no trouble. The cashier who rang me up was pretty friendly as well. She placed my Pink Velvet Supreme Croissant in a small paper bag and wished me a good day. While there are a handful of tables inside the food hall portion of Hannam Chain, most were occupied by customers of other eateries, so I simply went outside to enjoy my free sweet treat. The pink velvet ruby chocolate that covered the top portion of the round croissant didn't have nearly as much flavor, though the Valentine's sprinkles on top did make for a nice touch at least. Also, the custard cream inside didn't taste like anything at all! It wasn't bad, but it makes me wonder how much more flavorful the salted caramel pretzel would have been. I'll be sure to get that on my next visit to a Paris Baguette! I got the croissant about 2.5 hours after they were prepared, so maybe they would have tasted better had I gone 2 hours earlier? Lastly, I'm kind of shocked that this is pretty much the only Paris Baguette location in the South Bay. With how expansive a city like Torrance is, you would think they'd have at least a second location elsewhere like in Hmart. Otherwise, the next closest location would be in Long Beach, which literally just opened at The Pike Outlets. Overall, it's not a bad Paris Baguette to go to, but if you live in the South Bay, you'd be better off downloading the 85C Bakery app over the Paris Baguette app as there are much more 85C locations in the area. Also, this Paris Baguette may not necessarily carry your favorite pastries here, so heed caution if you plan to go out of your way to visit this patisserie.
