These are honestly the best macaroons I've ever tasted! They're full of flavor because they're thick! I feel content and happy every time I take a bite of one of those. It was a very good surprise when I found these little pieces of heaven at the Farmer's Market! Even better when I got home and took my time enjoying my macaroon. The pandan one is my favorite of all, but my fiance and I loved pretty much everything we tried so far. Believe me when I say that you will start buying 2, but will end up going home every time with at least a box. I would highly recommend buying one of the bigger boxes for you and loved ones to try all the flavors she has to offer. Picked up a few macarons at the farmers market to try as I was considering ordering here for my wedding. I got the ube and sans rival flavor. The sans rival was delicious, the ube was good but had a strange texture... maybe because it is a unique ingredient/flavor? My mom tried both flavors and she liked them too. Overall, we were pleased. The bad rating is because of customer service or lack thereof. I emailed on two different occasions to get information about wedding catering. The time I visited at the market I even approached her to let her know I had emailed so we can get started on the process as there is a "tasting" prior to committing for an order here. She was nice during our in-person interaction, she even took down my email and wedding date, but I was never contacted or responded to from my emails. Munchin on some delicious macarons! I spotted these cute and colorful macarons at the Torrance Farmers Market and I just had to try them! The variety delicious flavors to choose from is wonderful. Munch Bakery popular macaron flavors include black sesame, green tea, nutella, salted caramel, vanilla and white raspberry. There's also some unique flavors like maple bacon, chai tea and thai tea. What really caught my eye though were the Filipino flavored macarons. I've never ever had macarons with a Filipino twist and this intrigued me. I chose to get two macarons in the flavor of two of my favorite Filipino desserts: Leche Flan and Ube. Leche flan is my favorite Filipino dessert! Similar to the sweet custard dessert, Munch Bakery's leche flan macaron is sweet and creamy. The best surprise however came with the ube Macaron. This macaron tasted just like ube! At first bite, I could instantly taste the ube or purple yam jam taste. This is not just a purple macaron, this is the Filipino dessert ube in macaron form. It's spot on and delicious. I love macarons and am also a fan of Filipino desserts and thus so happy to have found a place that combines both. I am a big fan of macarons so I was super excited to hear that they had a stand at the Torrance Farmers Market! I went on a Saturday morning and got a box of 6 macarons for $10. They had so many unique flavors that I wanted to try and it was hard to pick just 6! I tried the following: Earl Grey Ube Horchata Coconut Pandan(?) I forget the exact name but it was something like that. PB & J Salted Caramel All the macarons were fresh and the textures were all on point! I like when my macarons have a slight chewy texture to them. They were also very flavorful! I liked all of them! My favorites though were the salted caramel and horchata. I can't wait to try the other flavors! I'm so glad we finally have a really good macaron place in Torrance! I will definitely be back! I purchased the Filipino flavored box as a birthday gift and was lucky that the recipient shared one with me. I had the Calamansi (Philippine lime), and it was delicious! I normally don't eat macarons because they are too sweet but this one had just the right amount of sweetness to be a treat but not so much where I felt the need to brush my teeth. It had the right amount of flavor - not too much so it's overpowering, but just enough to get the essence and make me want more. The dozen came in a nice gift box that I didn't need to wrap. Oh my goodness! That Nutella macaron!! Not only was that flavor obviously delicious, but it was everything a macaron should be - the crunch on the outside and the chew on the inside. Also, just the right amount of sweetness! And that was just a sample! After that, I knew I had to buy I few! I opted for the Sans Rival (Roasted Cashew), Cho Nut (Philippine Peanut Candy Bar) and Horchata. The Cho Nut stood out because of its true peanut flavor. I once thought macaroons were way to sweet, never really liked macaroons. Until I watched a video about how they were made and then My cravings started. Lucky me, found Munch Bakery based on Yelp reviews, the location is close to me so I stopped by and tired a couple of different flavors, and these tasty macaroons became regular treats for me. The owner let you try as many as you want before COVID, during the shit down, they were taken out of the Torrance Farmers Market, I was very sad about it. All the flavors are very rich, and the shells are just perfectly crunchy. My personal favorite are Ube-the purple yam, coffee, Egg custard, calambsi. Ordered a couple of times online during the Shut down and delicious macaroons were deliver to my door. Ordered some last week, not knowing they are back at the Farmers Market and orders need to be picked up. The owner contacted me in every possible way, when I found out I should pick them up, it's almost 1pm and they were about to leave. After trading a few text messages, the owner simple said she'd deliver for me since I'm not far. Half an hour later these beautifully packaged macaroons were at my door. How sweet is that? We've been HUGE fans of Munch Bakery at the Torrance Farmers Market for years! Always make a point to grab (at least!) a half dozen every time we go. I knew they were amazing and customer service is always top notch but in the time of COVID-19 they hit it out of the park!!! I ordered online to have them shipped as a special treat to my 7 year old for Easter. Instead the owner personally delivered them in beautiful packaging with a hand written note to my daughter. She deemed it "The best Easter gift EVER!" which meant the world as it first Easter without extended family around. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! Highly, highly recommend!!!
