She also told me there was nothing she could do to make my son feel better. I never expected anyone to turn back time, but I did expect some understanding, an apology, or at least an acknowledgment of the disappointment this caused. As a mother, it was heartbreaking to see my son cry on his birthday over something that could have easily been avoided. Mistakes happen in every business, but the way a customer is treated when bringing a concern forward says a lot about that business. I believe customers deserve to be treated with respect and compassion, especially when a mistake affects such a special occasion. I am extremely disappointed not only by the mistake itself but also by the lack of care and professionalism shown when I tried to address it.
