Getting your car worked on isn't usually how you discover a good French-style bakery, but that's exactly how I ended up at Frogs Organic Bakery. I tried the honeycomb apple pastry, which was light, airy, and nicely flaky. I would have enjoyed a little more apple filling, but overall it was still very good. The croissant was also good - light and flaky, and a simple cup of coffee made for a nice pairing. It's a small, tucked-away spot with the bakery operating in the back, giving it a bit of a hidden industrial-area bakery feel. The woman helping us was especially friendly and helpful. Service was very friendly and prompt. FOB is located in an enclosed center. There is also an Auto Repair Shop towards the back of that center. I had the pleasure to finally stop by Frogs stall at the Torrance Farmers Market one Saturday. I got a cinnamon roll and chocolate croissant. Yes, the croissant was flaky and you won't go wrong with it. I haven't tried the cinnamon roll so I'll review that later. It was finally good to have tried the croissant. One standout vendor is Frogs Organic Bakery, known for its fresh-baked goods. One Saturday, I noticed a super long line at Frogs Organic Bakery. Curious about the buzz, I decided to see what all the hype was about. That's when I spotted their enormous croissants, which instantly caught my attention. I made a mental note to come back and try them. Fast forward to the first weekend of 2025! I made my first trip to the Torrance Farmers Market for the year and stopped by the Frogs Organic Bakery stall. The giant croissants were hard to miss, so I decided to try an almond croissant for $6. The large Pistachio Morning Bun also looked tempting, so I picked one up as well, also for $6. Of the two, the Almond Croissant was my favorite. From the first bite, the sweet almond paste inside stole the show. The paste was smooth, sweet, and perfectly balanced. This almond croissant is a winner! The Pistachio Morning Bun, on the other hand, didn't quite meet my expectations. While the generous coating of pistachios on the outside initially drew me in, the flavor was just okay. The bread itself was very airy and light, but it lacked the richness I had hoped for. Overall, I enjoyed trying out Frogs Organic Bakery. If I visit again, I'd definitely grab another Almond Croissant or perhaps try their Strawberry Croissant, which also looked delicious. read more

Both my parents love this place, even telling me that their chocolate croissants are better than the ones in Paris (and they visit France often). Vegan here. Their vegan options vary by day so I always ask ! My personal favorite is the almond croissant and I always get it when available!! Nonetheless all the vegan options are yummy . The cinnamon roll is very good as well. Not like the soft plush cinnamon roll you're probably used to . It's more of a flaky pastry with so many soft layers and a nice drizzled glaze on top. Service is always quick and easy. The store itself is small but it's nice to be able to see all the selection displayed in the front. They have the most amazing chocolate chip cookies (only $2 each) and sourdough bread that we go weekly for, driving half an hour each way. Their other pastries are also very good. First time visit. I stop by to get my team some pastries. I got there around 7:45am and there were so many options they all looked delicious! I was greeted by a lovely soul named Lisa. She was very positive and friendly (love this early morning). I explained what I was looking for and she made it happened! I didn't realize that this is a location where you can just pick up and order through like a small window/port. Upon arrival there was one person being helped. I had a large order and I saw 2 more people line up after me who started chatting as I turned and informed them I was getting a large order. The folks in line were also friendly saying it's always good to come early because they sell out quickly and the patrons are delicious. My team and I loved the pastries! I will definitely return! The amazing part is the bread doesn't make you feel heavy in fact it's light even when you had a whole croissant! The taste was delicious for the ones I tried. Great service and Food! I have driven past Frogs Organic Bakery for many years and I finally decided to stop in and see what they are about and I am glad that I did. The store inside is postage stamp sized with no where to sit and enjoy a coffee and pastry, but the variety and quality of their product more than makes up for that. Besides, I know how expensive commercial space and labor are. On this visit I sampled sweet and savory offerings (sourdough, gluten free bread, cinnamon roll and bun and a chocolate croissant) First let me say that everything is handmade and being organic means that there is nothing in the mix that shouldn't be there, but most importantly everything was delish. I am not a sweet fiend, I am more of a savory guy and I was more than happy with everything that I sampled. The breads contained no added sugars and the pastries were lite on sugar and glaze. The flavors were honest and pure. My favorite of the bunch was the chocolate croissant. It was flakey, buttery and filled with the most delightful dark chocolate morsels; not too sweet, not too bitter just pure goodness. It paired well with my coffee, but should pair equally well with a glass of milk. Heck, all this talk has got me hungry for another one!!! Lastly, I respect and appreciate a company that stands behind their product (no compromise). Again, everything is certified organic and the dough is slow fermented (30 hours). This process enhances flavor, texture, digestibility for the gluten sensitive, better bioavailability of nutrients and enhances shelf life without adding preservatives. Finally, the young lady at the counter was super pleasant, knowledgeable and caring. I managed retail for nearly 20 years and I know good customer service when I see it and you will find none better than at Frogs. I will certainly be back to sample the rest of the menu. read more

Frogs has an unassuming location but inside you will find croissant paradise. My personal favorites are the chocolate and almond croissants but even the plain croissants are an experience. Their breads and rolls are also amazing and we have picked them up to bring to Thanksgiving or other group dinners. They're always a hit. I've seen Frogs at my local farmers market in SGV but never tried. I was in the South Bay Area and noticed they had a brick and mortar location so I decided to give it a go. First off, I wake up pretty early for work so I was excited that they open at 6:00 am! I ordered a latte and a chocolate almond croissant. Frogs is definitely true value. The quality and size of the pastries definitely are amazing for the price. The almond croissant came with a filling and wasn't too sweet! Menu prices for the latte was also pretty affordable. I was also intrigued by the pistachio bun will need to try it another time! The cashier was very friendly, prompt, and communicative. She handed the pastries we ordered first and let us know she will call us when the lattes were ready. It was a quick turn around less than five minutes when I went. The interior is very small and is more of a grab and go kinda spot. However, there is some outdoor seating available to enjoy your drink and baked goods. read more

Carb me up! Lol. There were two bread vendors at the Torrance Farmers Market this week. The competing one didn't have any labels on their bread but, was available to answer any questions. I walked around and found Frog's Bakery and their items are clearly labeled. Both vendors had that lovely smell of fresh bread. At Frog's I was also greeted and the breads I was interested in both were made with whole what flour. There are also gluten free options for those that require that. French baguettes and individual breakfast breads were also on hand. The representative said it was a slow morning and offered me a deal (buy one get one free). That was amazing because normally folks at the farmers market are buying their goods. A few days later, my breads are still tasting and smelling amazing especially after toasting them. They are also great dipped in olive oil. From other reviews, I am informed they have a local industrial location where breads are available for sale during business hours. Have been wanting to try Frogs bakery for quite some time now and finally made it in this week. It was about 12 minutes before closing time yet they still had a good variety of breads. Lady who took my order was very friendly and helpful which is always appreciated I ended up taking home some almond and chocolate croissants which were delicious, blueberry muffin, some beignets, guava pastry, chocolate cookie, chocolate croissant and of course a loaf of sourdough bread. This is not the place to buy your loaves of bread. The brioche loaf was dry and their supposedly most popular bread, the sourdough, did not have enough tang to it for my taste. The texture and taste of the sourdough bread slices tasted like bread you could get at any regular grocery store. It was unfortunate that they were out of a lot of bread by 10AM so I could not really order anything else that I was interested in. However, I would definitely recommend purchasing any of their croissants. The croissant dough was flakey, buttery and slightly sweet. I had variations of it through their jalapeño cheese with cream cheese, and ham and cheese croissants. I did order a couple of other sweets but they were super dry (like the brioche guava). Something to note that I wish were indicated on their website is that their SEASONAL items are NOT AVAILABLE on Sundays (or the weekend really). I was told that their seasonal items are prepared on Sundays and then are ready during the weekday. With respect to space, it is a tiny bakery with a lot of outdoor seating outside (only some of the small tables were untouched by the blazing sun). It definitely seems like more of a pick-up your order and go type of bakery. Also, there is no bathroom so if you wanted to meet up with someone I would not recommend it. read more

Full disclosure, I picked up the pastries at the Santa Monica farmers market so not sure if that affected the quality? I got the pear and Nutella tart and the mocha croissant. The Pear and Nutella tart was alright! But honesty, how can you go wrong with Nutella? Flavor wise, good, crispness level, ok. Overall, it was a good pastry but not "great, knock my socks off, must have again". The mocha croissant...I would never order again. The croissant was the driest croissant I have ever eaten. The mocha flavor, while present (but subtle), was quite bitter and needed to be balanced a bit more. I thought the Danish's were good. Quoting my wife, she thought the cheese in the Danish had a light Pine-Sol after taste. I didn't pick that up? The blueberry muffin was sm/med size, nothing special. I prefer a Costco blueberry muffin honestly and it's bigger. The chocolate chip cookie was on the small size, also nothing special. Awesome organic bakery! The pastries are fresh and oh so delicious. The fan favorites are the zucchini muffins, almond croissants, and the blueberry-lemon scones. But if you want to know a secret...all their pastries are incredibly good! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. And the service is top-notch! There have been a couple times when I was unable to get out of the car, and they were so kind to bring my order to me. The other times I have gone in, it's been easy to order and get my favorites. Heads up: It's pretty small inside so there might be a line outside. Trust me--they are fast and really only one or two people can fit in there at a time. Frogs is such a gem! We stumbled across these guys on a weekend farmers market visit in Irvine-- their booth was mosquito net tented and irresistible to all those with eyes. Everything looked so hearty and generous with the portions. What could've been the toughest besides trying to rip off a flaky piece of croissant was deciding what to get and stuff my face with for the next 24 hours. Flavors were amazing and the cream cheese topping/filling on the spinach and cheese croissant was such a welcomed texture and taste. Just slightly sweet and tangy but with all the crème-curdled goodness one expects from a danish. Plenty of withering spinach crying for more teeth. This has gone in a weird direction- let's digress. The almond chocolate croissant was different. Plenty of gooey marzipan filling and peppered chocolate bits throughout and extremely flavorful. If anything I have to be a STEWPID BEETCH and say is that the dough is tough for how flaky and buttery they look. It handles incredibly well but with my crooked dumb unaligned teeth it took some cave men ripping of the flesh. The guava cheese danish was bomb. Plenty of filling without being overpowering. But the dough was also-- made with the same kind of laminated dough. However it is they made it it's flavor town and satisfaction avenue off of delicious parkway. The pastries are quite good. I used to get a box for the neighbors and friends and claimed they were from a local celebrity baker. The service isn't great. The service lady at the window assumed that they were so good that nothing could go wrong. For example I was ordering a coffee on the menu but turned out it was unavailable. As I was looking for my other options the service lady was visibly annoyed. I tried this bakery at the Irvine farmers market. I am a huge fan of baked goods, and couldn't walk away without trying the lemon poppyseed muffin! It was large and looked incredible. My husband and I both took a bite...and..we could see lemon zest but couldn't taste any lemon. It barely even tasted sweet...kind of like butter. It felt like ingredients were missing...I've never had such a bland muffin before. I was so disappointed because their pastries looked really yummy, but unfortunately this will not be my go to spot at the farmers market. read more
