Breakfast burrito with bacon, ham and eggs, but that's it
    Julian E.

Skip the burritos.. almost everything else is good here the coffee, the croissant, the donuts. The staff is very friendly and the place is always nice and clean even early in the morning when everyone else is grumpy. These guys are super nice... but the poorly made burrito did not have any hashbrowns too much onions and not enough or any seasoning at all lots of meat and eggs tho..

This donut shop is more than just that. They have coffee and sandwiches too. Service is quick and efficient. They even have a place to eat. Parking lot is a bit small.

I keep coming back to TMJ Café & Dough for their veggie lover omelet--it's seriously the best around. It's packed with spinach, onions, bell peppers, tomatoes, avocado, and cheese, and every bite is just bursting with flavor. Plus, the owners are amazingly personable-- she greets me by name every time, and even though I usually order delivery, when I go in, she will still remember my go-to. If you're looking for a healthy, feel-good breakfast with a personal touch, this is the place.

The good: I ordered fresh orange juice, a lavender latte, a prosciutto sandwich, a Dulce de leche donut, honeydew milk tea with boba, and an egg, ham and Mayo sandwich. The sandwich was well balanced with fresh vegetables and a nice kick from horseradish. I liked the added pickles and the many options for bread (we opted for sourdough but options included ciabatta, wheat, and more). The interior has a bench area and four booths. There were many donuts on display with basic ones costing under $2 each. The overall price for everything we got was under $50 which was a great deal. The boba was soft and enjoyable. The coffee was really enjoyable and had a deep roasted flavor. The store was neatly organized and they sold lots of chips and bottled drinks as well. The menu offered a lot of options that included smoothies and milkshakes too. The bad: There's no outdoor seating area. The sourdough was just okay. The honeydew milk tea was on the sweeter side. My husband said the Dulce de leche tasted like the canned cheaper kind. The interesting: It's hard for me not to think of temporomandibular joint dysfunction when I see TMJ.

Found a hair inside my ham & cheese croissant! Disgusting. When I brought it back, the workers looked at the croissant and were not very apologetic. I had to ask for a refund because they didn't even offer it which upset me. I felt like they were extremely rude because they kept asking me many questions and even asked the worker who sold me the croissant if I originally paid for it.... Never coming here again!

I've driven by this cafe several times and yesterday I made time to study and get some work done here. The energy was fresh and the three women working were all professional and very helpful. I was given great suggestions on sandwiches to try, ultimately I went with the turkey TMJ on a croissant and I had a chai tea. Everything was delicious and the ingredients were fresh. Seating was plenty and the place was buzzing the entire 2 hours I was there. I was so please I decided to wait to try dessert just so I could take the family back. My only critique was the restrooms were not available to customers which is one of the main reasons I wrapped up my work, I had to go. Lastly the music was upbeat which was nice but some of the songs had profanity and vulgar language. A preset playlist or a better station like the wave would be more ideal for an establishment that serves a wide array of diverse cultures and age groups. That can be off putting if you have your children or parents with you.

Maple bacon, Boston Cream, maple bar...

Excellent, friendly service. Fantastic prices. The dough was fluffy, sweetness was just right, the Boston cream was custard not whipped topping like we wanted. We will definitely be back to try all the other flavors. The photo doesn't do it justice. Thank you!

LOVE TMJ Cafe! They have the best donuts and breakfast burritos! Every time I come back home we always end up grabbing some TMJ for our little brunch get togethers. My husband and i ordered a bunch of breakfast burritos, assorted basic donuts, and we got the bran muffin and orange dreamsicle shake to try and everything was soo good! I appreciate that their breakfast burritos are hearty, packaging is always nice, and donuts are always really fluffy! The bran muffin was solid and the shake was so addicting! Service is always quick and efficient. If you have a large order, place it online and they'll have it ready for pick-up. Ambiance is casual. They have a parking lot but it's more of a takeout spot as there isn't too much seating inside.

I have driven by this place so many times & never stopped. I was wanting coffee but not from that S chain. I decided to stop here & give it a try. Luckily it was not crowded & I was able to talk to the employees & ask what iced latte was more popular. I could not decide between the caramel & the vanilla. The employee recommended the vanilla. It was amazing & I will definitely be back. I'm trying to find a good coffee place near my office and I found it.

I was here for no more than a couple of minutes. I ordered half a dozen assorted donuts and a dozen donut holes. When I got home, I noticed that they gave me 8 donuts. That was really nice of them to throw in a couple of donuts for free. I immediately scarfed down a chocolate bar donut (they're those long chocolate glazed donuts) and the donut holes. They were both airy, fluffy, and delicious. I was craving traditional donuts and the donuts here really hit the spot.

There's a giant donut hovering over the entrance like a sugary UFO, the drive‑thru is open at all hours, in both directions depending on which driveway you enter, and the staff has the kind of friendliness that makes you question whether... do people even sleep at these early morning hours, including myself. lol I rolled up at 2 AM and the night cashier greets you like you're the hero returning from battle. They're patient, friendly, and sometimes slip in an extra donut like a pastry‑based blessing, especially after purchasing several assorted donuts. Honestly, if emotional support donuts were a thing, this place would be licensed. The classics hit exactly how they should. The raspberry jelly, a fruity explosion. The blueberry?, a polite, sweet hug. The chocolate, well so comforting. A spiral of happiness. And the variety of donuts is so warm, glazed and sweet. Basically the Beyoncé of pastries. It doesn't just taste good, it changes you. The drive‑thru is clutch. During my freebies birthday run yesterday, I was planning on going to Old Ferry Donut after picking up a boba next door, only to find the shop closed. \(`0´)/ Known for unique flavors & vibrant retro-pop 70s branding (cute hamster mascot with bold orange & brilliant blue colors; it's featured on 2-/4-donut boxes), this Korean-inspired premium donut shop originated in Seoul a decade ago before expanding to several S. CA locations, opening in Torrance a couple of years ago. OFD's donuts are popular for its rich creams & chewy dough; Butter Pistachio & Crème Brûlée are just 2 of their signature flavors. I was going through a donut phase when I initially stopped by Old Ferry Donut. Large windows let lots of light in, & once you step across the threshold, you're hit with a strong K-pop vibe & loud music. They even had a collab with SEVENTEEN last fall during their tour with 2 flavors: Marble Strawberry & Blue Coconut! Unlike the regular mom & pop's or commercialized donut shops, they don't offer a discounted 1/2 or full dozen box. After asking what's their most popular picks, I chose Butter Pistachio & Crème Brûlée, & added Lemon Poppyseed & Raspberry Ring for myself, Cookies & Cream & Boston Cream for the kiddos. Service was alright... I didn't need a sales pitch, but would like some info on the donuts to make an informed decision since they're at a premium price even though they're not "freshly made" (every hour or less) like SD&C just down the street. The Butter Pistachio is a major hit... fluffy & light, a slightly chewy yeasty donut stuffed with a mildly sweet whipped pistachio cream filling & topped with a salty-sweet buttery streusel... how can you not be addicted? And totally worth it! Crème Brûlée is also popular for its delicate, crackly caramelized sugar crust & airy brioche dough that's filled with a rich vanilla custard. Good flavor, but maybe on the older side? Since it's been sitting for awhile, it lost that fresh fluffy texture & was kinda dry. I really liked the Lemon Poppyseed; it's right up there with Butter Pistachio. The lemon glaze is just the right amount of sweet & tart, & the donut was fresh & fluffy! The Raspberry Ring is pretty good, matching that sweet & tart of Lemon Poppyseed, but I like the citrus zing of the latter more. What's different is the former has a raspberry jam filling in addition to a glaze & the latter is just a yeast donut with fruity glaze. Kids didn't say much about Cookies & Cream & Boston Cream... I figure you can't go wrong with these flavors. The filling might have been a bit much as I saw the cream oozing out of the donut & onto my LO's face & shirt. His sister was slightly better at containing the custard blob. LOL With premium prices, It's debatable if Old Ferry's donuts are worth it... quality, freshness, & size. Hmmm... I like them & their creative flavors, but they're a tad too sweet & not as "fresh" in comparison to SD&C. Sad to see Old Ferry Donut permanently gone from the South Bay, but they still have locations in San Gabriel & Buena Park if you're willing to take a drive. Recommended: Boston Cream $3.95 Butter Pistachio $4.95 Cookies & Cream $3.95 Crème Brûlée $4.95 Lemon Poppyseed $3.95 Raspberry Ring $3.95

We stopped by today around 3:30PM and received quick service :) they were just bringing out some fresh doughnuts so we were able to get them super fresh! We got to try some new seasonal flavors as well as some classics. Chocolate Celebration Ring - this is a new daily flavor I believe, and I quite enjoy it! The doughnut itself is very pillowy and not dense at all like their other ones. Very different, but a good different. It reminds me of the type of doughnut you'd get at a mom n pop, which is a huge plus for me. The chocolate frosting surprisingly wasn't super sweet. Def would get again. Potato Chip Streusel - this was...interesting haha. The potato chips add a nice salty flavor to the chocolate donut itself. I wouldn't get it again, but worth a try if you're an adventurous person. Celebration Cake - one of my absolute favs. I love that they use almond flour so it has a nice nutty taste. It is very much cake like and dense, but it hits the spot every time. Highly recommend! Old-fashioned - also a great classic! It has a great mix of cinnamon and nutmeg and isn't too overly sweet. Banana Bread Latte - we got to try this and I LOVED it. It was very banana-y and I loved the touch of walnuts added in. Out of all the banana flavored coffee I've had, this was the best. Just a note, cold foam is extra, but so worth it imo! So, this is the new issue with Sidecar in Manhattan Beach this morning…read more... When you can't even get a dozen doughnuts from a doughnut shop to take to work, BEFORE work...there's some major operational failures that need to be remedied. I work at the airport and we're unable to get app based food deliveries. They can't even come into the airport. So, I usually order Sidecar on my way to work and have the driver meet me at the LAX Metro Transit Center, before hopping on the shuttle to my terminal. I placed an order for a DOZEN through Uber Eats at 6:35 a.m. And this is the message I get from Maya. I call the store and ask them to cancel it. 5 minutes later it's still not canceled, so I call back and BEG them "PLEASE CANCEL THE ORDER?!" and the young lady with such a bad attitude replies "We will cancel the order, don't worry about that." and I say "Can you cancel it while I'm on the phone?! I want to know it's been canceled!" Her smart ass reply was that "You're gonna have to wait, becauee there's no manager here, but you'll receive a notification when it's canceled" so I ask "You can't cancel an order without a manager?" and the girl says "No." then I ask "Can I have your name, please?" and with an audible grin on her face, she says "Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...."and I said" OK! That's fine!" and hung up. Minutes later, the order was canceled. Sounds like Sidecar has some real superstars working at their Manhattan Beach store. Also, this was a delivery order and the fact that she even thought it was for pickup and casually says to wait an hour and a half before pickup at 7 in the morning incompetence and a total lack of consideration at its finest. It hurts, because I really do like Sidecar and have for about 3 years. I've introduced many to their doughnuts, but spending $60 on a dozen, just to get treated like you're a joke is abhorrent.
