Great local choice for takeout. The interior reminds me of a 2000s health cafeteria. The chicken kabob was fresh with a notable citrus flavor. I tried this place for the first time today and will be back! The service was great, very warm and welcoming. I had the chicken kebab, it came with hummus , rice, and a salad. The hummus specifically stood out to me, very delicious. If you can get the hummus right, that says a lot about the place. At the end I had baklava, fresh out the oven, and it was amazing. Good food, reasonable prices and healthy (unless you get the amazing french fries with sumac). We had the falafel wrap and the chicken wrap. They came with either french fries or a salad so we got one of each. Loved the chicken breast in the wrap and it was more than enough food for lunch. Falafel wrap had hummus and lots of veggies - also very tasty. If you are in a hurry, maybe call or order online since it took a little while for the food to come and several folks picked up to go orders while we waited. There are a few tables inside and out so you can eat there as well. Nothing fancy, but clean. read more

My daughter picked up dinner for us here tonight on her way home from work. It was our first time eating here. I called the order in and the gentleman who answered and took my order couldn't have been nicer! The food was exceptional! Just absolutely delicious. We both had the chicken kabob plate. Chicken was juicy and tender, the rice was so flavorful and the hummus was delicious. We will definitely be eating here again soon and will recommend it to all ourfriends. It was great. Great food was starving but didn't feel like anything to heavy. Decided to come to this spot since I'm working around the area. Got the chicken shawarma wrap and the food was excellent. One word: FLAVOR!! I've passed by this location multiple times & finally decided to order through postmates! I was shocked by all of the flavor from the chicken kabob plate! The salad and hummus was delicious! But what really WOWED me was the green seasoned oil!! Wow, drizzling that on top of the rice was perfection- !! I couldn't stop eating it!! I am in the El Segundo area tonight for work and decided to try Aristo Cafe because it received such high praise from everyone who eats here. I have to say, I AGREE. I ordered the chicken kebab plate. Everything was delicious! The rice was super soft and soaked up all the flavor from the grilled chicken kebab, the salad was fresh and the dressing was perfect. I also got some baklava for dessert and it might have been the best baklava I have ever had. It was not incredibly sweet, which I prefer and the layers of phyllo dough were super crispy and buttery, the nuts in the center were almost creamy. I'm from Middle East and The Lula kebab wrap was not tasty at all, and cold ....In my opinion, it has nothing in common with Mediterranean cuisine, it's just a lot of cabbage inside with some nasty meat, and that's it, no other ingredients. Cabbage shouldn't be there at all, .......Compared to other places serving similar cuisine, it's incomparable. No any Mediterranean drinks available at all, just a Pepsi drinks. Shouldn't be called Mediterranean place ...:)) wasting money !! read more

This place really surprised me. We were in the area and wanted Mediterranean food and we found this place on Yelp. I had the chicken skewers and they were delicious, well seasoned. It came with hummus, salad, pita bread and garlic butter. I will be back to try the chicken sharma. They have about 5 tables and plenty of parking in the parking lot. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!! THE food is horrible!! I don't know how these people are giving it 5 star!! Everything we got has to go to trash!!!! What a waste of money! I had come here for years to enjoy the chicken shawarma and garlic sauce, which was delicious. This admittedly made me feel conflicted after witnessing the owner on several occasions make overtly racist remarks directed against my coworkers and various passersby. This pattern of behavior has unfortunately continued in recent weeks, when a group of my coworkers were accused of being cheap on the basis of their race when they respectfully exited the restaurant after deciding the prices were too high. This conduct is so ridiculous in the year 2025, that my reaction is honestly that of surprise rather than anger. Regardless, I cannot in good conscience give this person my business any longer, nor do I recommend anyone else do so. read more

So I placed an order an hour before closing to be able to pick up by 7:40pm for my lunch I got there at exactly 7:50 and the person working g was already waiting at the door so I rushed in as fast as possible. He didn't seem bothered with me arriving at the last minute so that was a plus. He then told me that he substituted my rice with French fries because they ran out. Not what I wanted but I wasn't upset about it I had ordered the tri tip plate so instead of rice I got fries which was very good still only bad thing is that I don't usually get enough time to eat my so I have to eat it in sections so the fries are a horrible option once cold since it's not good microwaved. While the food was great and full of flavor I was a little upset at the fact that In my tri tip plate it had more chicken than tri tip. I feel like they just ran out of a lot of things and just threw in the crumbs of tri tip and leftover chicken. While this place is always delicious just a little sad my order wasn't what I order read more

I'm a huge fan of falafel so I was excited to try the falafel wrap which came with a side of seasoned fries. It was pretty good overall (average to above average); the falafel was crunchy on the outside, lightly seasoned and moist inside. But I wish the salad/veggie mix inside the wrap included more variety instead of being mainly lettuce as it would have added to the flavor and texture. The seasoned fries looked great but it was too oily so the seasoning (flavor) did not come through taste wise. To be fair, this was a takeout order and it sat in the bag for 15 -20 minutes before I started eating so that may have affected the flavor/oiliness. The lunch combination was a pretty good deal overall so I do plan to return and give it the takeout order another try. The place offers a few tables to eat in but it's not the warmest/friendliest of environments. The service is efficient but far from welcoming. read more

This location is just slightly better than their other and thier other is very good. The type of food you can eat everyday and never get board or feel unhealthy from. Win. Win. The staff was polite and helpful. One of my friends wasn't familiar with Mediterranean foods and the gentalman who I think was the owner, kindly gave a short history on his restaurant and the dishes origins. Very intesting. It made the food that much better knowing all that goes into it. He didn't have to do that but he did so that's why I'm taking the time out to report his good deed. I love coming to Aristo Cafe with my co workers and friends. Whenever my friends and I are in the El Segundo area we love coming here. The gyro wraps with fries is my favorite thing to order at this place. Their fries are crispy and seasoned well. The pita bread is warm, soft, and tastes homemade. The meat is well seasoned. The gyro wraps comes with three pieces of gyro, onions, tomatoes, and sauce. Their sauce is great it tastes super fresh, light, creamy, and compliments the meat and the pita bread. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a good gyro wrap. It is one of the best gyro wraps I have been to in LA. The staff is really nice and they prepare the food pretty quick. Note: They open from 11AM - 8PM from Monday to Saturday and they are closed on Sunday' s. They have a few parking spaces available. read more

It's a very good quick pre pay medeteranian Food. It only took about 10 min for our food to arrive to the table. We were the only dine in customer at the time, so I'm not sure how it is when they're busy. Nonetheless, service and food were both good. We ordered lamb gyro plate, falefal plate, and side of baba ghanoush. The reason I'm giving 4 star is because their rice was awfully plain. It could definitely be better. Baba ghanoush tasted more like Hummus for some reason. We couldn't taste the eggplant. Besides these falafels, salad, lamb gyro, and Hummus were very good. It's definitely a good try. Beef Kofta - 3/5. The kofta was a bit dry and tough. I wish it had more fat and seasoning to make it juicier and more flavorful. The grilling is also somewhat inconsistent--sometimes the kofta comes out beautifully browned, while other times it's over-charred. Grilled Fish - 4/5. This is easily my favorite item on the menu and, in my opinion, their best dish. The fish is seasoned just enough to enhance its natural flavor without overpowering it. It's grilled very well, developing a beautiful golden-brown crust while remaining moist and tender inside. Beef Shish Kebab - 3.5/5. The quality of the beef is decent, especially considering the price. Given the cut of meat they use, they've done a commendable job with the grilling. The beef has a solid seasoning base and a nice sear with just enough char to add flavor without becoming overly smoky. It's reasonably tender, though I wish it retained a bit more juiciness. Chicken Shish Kebab - 3.5/5. Very similar to the beef shish kebab. It has good flavor and is grilled well, but it could benefit from being a little juicier. Gyro - 2/5. Unfortunately, this was the biggest disappointment. The gyro meat on the vertical spit often appears to be rotating without enough heat to properly caramelize and crisp the exterior. As a result, the meat comes across as dry, rubbery, and lacking the rich roasted flavor that makes a great gyro. Kunafa (Knafeh) - 3/5. This dessert has both strengths and weaknesses. The cheese filling has a pleasant, slightly salty flavor and a creamy texture, and I appreciate that it isn't overly sweet. However, the syrup is underwhelming. A good kunafa should be generously coated with a fragrant sugar syrup - ideally infused with rose water or orange blossom water - to provide sweetness and aroma. I also wish the kataifi, the shredded pastry dough, were crispier and lighter to create a better contrast with the gooey cheese filling. Overall, Al Hamra Kabob Grill is one of the better places to enjoy Middle Eastern-style grilled dishes in the South Bay. While a few menu items could be improved, the grilled fish stands out as excellent, and the shish kebabs are solid choices. The owner is also incredibly friendly and welcoming, creating a warm, neighborhood atmosphere that keeps customers coming back. It's not perfect, but it's a restaurant I enjoy visiting from time to time and one I'd recommend if you're craving grilled Middle Eastern flavors.

The home sauce was very tasty and I got a few extras to dip my fries in. Speaking of fries, they are fried in beef tallow. That's all fine and well but the most important part was the fact that they survived my 15 minute drive home and were still crispy and tasty. This was overall very enjoyable and I suspect that they'll have more locations opening up in the not so distant future.

Overall we had a nice time but were NOT impressed by the food, and for a $600 with tip dinner bill for a party of 7 would not go back here. A dinner like this for this price should knock you socks off and not be "ok".

This review is related to the general health and well being of the staff and guests. My fiancé and I came to get tacos next door at Ensenada's, but saw a sign for roasted cauliflower and decided to order some. After she ordered, she came back outside and mentioned to her that no one inside the restaurant was wearing masks. No One! We thought about just leaving and walking away, but decided to see what would happen. Sure enough, the owner comes out and hands us our food with no mask on. I ask him, does your staff not wear masks? He said that he has shields to protect him and his staff. These "shields" are at the register only! I continued to ask him why doesn't his staff wear masks, and he continued to berate me on how he has a shield and he takes temperature checks. Listen, that's great. But, as a business owner he needs to hold himself accountable. He clearly has no integrity and puts his guests in danger every time they walk in there. A clear sign of entitlement and disregard of job responsibility. To the owner, wear a mask. It's that simple. Make your guests feel comfortable that you are doing your part to keep your guests safety your top priority. Hold yourself and your team accountable. I am sure your food is great, but knowing how you engaged and berated me was not acceptable. read more

Aristo Cafe made me a Mediterranean (and vegetarian) feast fit for a queen! The creamy baba ghanoush with warm pita was one of my favorite items along with the tangy tabbouleh. I also loved the eggplant parm. It was the best I have ever had! Fresh, thinly sliced eggplant with homemade breadcrumbs topped with a rich, sweet tomato sauce. Not greasy with a light amount of cheese and a beautiful garnish. I had never seen or eaten anything quite like it. I will definitely be back for more mouth-watering Mediterranean soon! read more

I've got to stay I wasn't sure what to expect when I first tried this place since it was in a pretty tightly packed shopping mall but the food was definitely worth the struggle to find parking. The place was super busy with a lot of takeout and delivery orders, but that didn't distract the counter person from providing outstanding service. I ordered the CD house salad which is a chicken caesar salad mixed with their golden rice. It came with 4 full pitas (cut in half) and white garlic sauce. Plus this particular evening they had a BOGO special so I didn't have to cook the next day! The balance of lettuce to chicken to rice is fantastic. Sometimes I stuffed it in a pita with a smear of the white garlic sauce. Sometimes I dipped my fork in the garlic sauce then filled my fork with a mouthful of salad. Originally I was going to say that I wish the dressing stood out more, but it would probably feel like too much with the white garlic sauce. I also got the small chicken soup which I saved for another night - but because my throat had a tickle. It was the perfect portion and I loved the seasoning and crispy pita chip strips!
