Solid diner in town. Generous with their portions. Service is stellar. The place is a little small, but that definitely gives you the diner vibe. Parking isn't too difficult which is always a plus. The first time I visited I had the huevos rancheros. It comes with the green sauce which was different for me but still very delicious. Next time I went I got a chorizo skillet which was also tasty. I little saltier than I expected but still good. Overall a great breakfast spot and I would definitely recommend them.

Weekend mornings. Breakfast outside always seems to relaxing and fun. Wanted to try a new place this time and found that this place has good reviews on Yelp. Was slightly worried whether it will be crowded and long wait times, which is typical for weekend. However, when we went around 9am on Sunday it wasnt as bad. We were seated right away. They have a small parking lot on the backside, and there are street parking available, so it should not be an issue. The place looked like a local mom and pop restaurant. Felt very homely, cozy. The service here is very good, the waiters are very very friendly and kind. We ordered Coffee, Huevos Rancheros, Chicken Supreme sandwich, Churro Waffles with Bananas and Kapiko's favorite which is a skillet of egg scramble, home fries and chicken. Overall, we liked the food, everything tasted good. The chicken in the Kapiko's favorite is the pulled chicken which I am not a big fan as it was lacking flavor and mostly bland. Other than that, the waffles tasted great, the home fries were good and so is the Huevos Rancheros. I have had better burgers for this price in other places, so I might skip the sandwich/burger next time. Nevertheless a good place to visit, nice place to hangout with family and start the day with breakfast.

This diner is a classic breakfast/brunch establishment. We sat outside on the sidewalk. The interior is small. The ambiance is not great but the food makes up for the lack of ambiance. We started by ordering a Morning Glory muffin which we cut up between the three of us. It was recommended by our server. He said that it is a favorite that always sells out. It was moist and very delicious. My sister and I ordered the breakfast sandwich. It had cheese, bacon and an egg on an English muffin and it came with breakfast potatoes. The egg and bacon were cooked to order perfectly. My partner had the Sweet Loraine omelette which also came with breakfast potatoes, and he thought his breakfast was good. The service was quick and our server brought our dogs a water bowl. I would definitely recommend it based on the service and food.

This is exactly what you can imagine for a mom & pop diner. The place seems to be a classic in the neighborhood and the restaurant has a sense of nostalgia. We got the famous morning after and crunch French toast. Both were huge portions and we couldn't finish our plates. There's both indoor and outdoor seating. We opted to sit outside but it's not as nice of a people watching space since cars are flying by on the busy street.

I like retro diners and Ocean Diner fits the bill with that iconic 40s, 50s vibe In Hermosa Beach. There's even really cool old framed newspapers about WWII and pinup queens like Betty Grable. I enjoyed my breakfast with prompt, helpful service Recommended.

My first time at Ocean Diner. I was stopping by somewhere for brunch before a doctors appointment but I recommend going early or being ready to wait since this place gets poppin'! There is 1 hr street parking available on the street. The service was prompt and friendly. Our server noticed the huevos rancheros dish was getting very messy and brought over napkins without us asking! The vibes of the diner are very cute and local mom&pop vibes. I really enjoyed the dishes I ordered. The classic eggs and sausage combo was really good! I was very happy that the eggs and sausages didn't feel super oily, which is what I experience at most diners. I really enjoyed that it felt like comfort food home cooking. I saw that they have homemade granola and lemon ricotta pancakes! I'll definitely have to come back to try more items on their menu!

Was craving a good old-fashioned American breakfast and Ocean Diner came through. It's everything you want from a nostalgic diner: retro 50's decor, friendly staff, and a menu full of comfort classics. I went with Lulu's Skillet, which hit the spot -- eggs, bacon, veggies, melty cheese, all in one hot mess of happiness. The biscuits were just okay for me (a bit dry), but once I slathered on some butter and jam, we were back in business. It gets busy, but service stayed fast and welcoming. Parking is available in the back, though it's a little tight -- drive slow and maybe skip the SUV if you can. I'd definitely come back when I'm in the mood for a no-frills, feel-good breakfast.

Food was served cold, but the taste was good. Service was on point. The menu boasted about the quality of the brewed coffee for decades. To me- it tasted burnt. The location was just east of PCH. The inside of the restaurant was like a dive diner.

Came here with some friends since I used to live on the Westside. To be quite honest nothing against the restaurant, but the food is your typical American breakfast restaurant. Food was good, but nothing I can't find in nearby cities like Redondo. Manhattan Beach, El Segundo or Playa Del Rey. It's a local place for local people that don't drive more than a 2 miles radius.

Just visited this place for a quick Breakfast. Some Street Parking out front or a small lot in the back. Their Service was very friendly and quick. I recommend their Housemade Biscuits.. they're very delicious!

Our go-to breakfast spot in South bay. Everything is always great! I had the cinnamon roll pancakes, and I know granola might seem like an odd choice for pancakes BUT it is sooooo good, the crunch really puts it over the top!!!! As a southerner, The biscuits are not authentically southern but they are fluffy. We have had a plethora of the omelets and they are all top notch. The wait staff is fast and kind. Your coffee will never go empty. The ambiance is cute and kitschy. The table seems are a touch uncomfortable but more unbearable.

I brought my fiancee's mom here on a Sunday at 1:30 pm and I thought it was the best time to be here. It wasn't crowded and no wait. I brought her here because I knew she would enjoy all the old memorabilia. It's a 1940's themed restaurant for those that don't know. Portions are huge and the coffee is really good and definitely caffeinated. This place never disappoints, the service is pretty much always good, and it's worth the price. I ordered Mama's Home. It came with two thin cut deliciously seasoned pork chops (I had them put the yummy gravy on the side), eggs, yummy home fries, and toast. My fiancee's mom got something from the healthy options section. She got the one called Rick's Breakfast. She liked it and thought it was good. We also got some of their homemade salsa that was mild and it was almost like Tito's Tacos salsa. It was good. Especially when I put some on my eggs.

Oh Martha. We gotta have a talk girl. What is going on?…read more I stopped by on a Sunday about 11:30ish for a party of 2. We got sat pretty quickly as this place was busyyyy. busyyy worker bees. Everyone was wanting to get a seat at Martha's! I only waited about 20 minutes if that. Not too shabbyyyy ! I started with an iced Spanish latte as I love my Spanish lattes. This is where everything started going downhill. First sip, questionable. Second sip, even more questionable. Mix the coffee with the straw for a minute, another sip, even worse. It tasted like I was drinking the water from a burnt coffee bean with a hint of cinnamon. It was NOT good. I was very sad. I ended up ordering an iced chai latte as a secondary choice.. because how hard is it to mess up a chai? WELP. It was managed to be messed up as well. How?! Martha girl, who was making the drinks this day, cause nuh uh, more training now. The iced chai latte was watery. It did not resemble a chai at all, even the color was weird. I took 2 sips and never finished either drink. I had my counterpart try it-- mind you, I took a sip and gave no reaction to not bias my counterpart. Once they tried it, they were just as astonished to how horrible both drinks were. They ordered the banana bread latte. oh my-lanta. Artificial, sweet, sour banana flavor, he had it switched out for a blended pump shake that was much better-- REALLY sweet, but they loved it. For the breakfast option, I ended up ordering the huevos playa. The hashbrowns were cooked evenly and tender. The sauce/salsa it was sitting in. not it. you're not that guy pal. tasted like pace salsa from a jar or something. that weird salsa taste that makes you aware that it is not home made. I did not like it whatsoever. The sour cream, guac and eggs were the only thing I enjoyed out of this dish. I would not order this again. The cinnamon pancake was the only thing that saved the experience, but even then, $17 for a singular pancake is absolutely insane. Overall, I was extremely, and I mean extremely, disappointed. I wish it lived up to all the social media hype that is around, but my taste buds were extremely unhappy leaving. Service was great, the lady removed the banana bread latte off our bill for not liking it, but I stayed with my 2 awful drinks. I ended up going to a coffee shop to fill my Spanish latte cravings after leaving. Parking is on the street, metered. fills up FAST.

And Hubbers suggested this place for a late-ish lunch because he's been here before and had a positive experience. Outdoor seating only since we had the furballs. We had our choice of where since we were the only customers on a late lunch hour. Servers were so patient with our pups (even when they were moody - my apologies!) and were even nice enough to bring them water bowls! It was a cool and cloudy day, but that didn't damper anything. In fact, we appreciated it coming off the heat wave from the last couple of weeks! Everything on their menu looked so good, it took me awhile to decide. But Hubbers and I agreed on the Kayak Tide Tray (+4 extra oysters) and the charred watermelon salad. In the meanwhile, I battled between lobster pasta and five dragon pastrami. (The pasta won out.) Hubbers went for the cedar planked Ora king salmon. And a couple of cocktails to wash it all down! KAYAK TIDE TRAY: The seasoned scallops were my favorites, hands down. The sauce was fantastic and didn't overpower the scallops' main essence. The oysters were shucked fresh and the sauces elevated the flavors a bit. Shrimps were chilled tender and had a nice chew. Cocktail sauce added flavor. The mussels? Sad to say, but half of them were served still frozen hard. So we took our time with it and let it thaw out which didn't happen until we were halfway our meal. Overall: excellent. CHARRED WATERMELON: This plate was so well put together! And not only is it pleasing to the eyes (nice touch with the micros!), it was the same with the palate. Watermelon was fresh. Charred only on one side (I'm curious what it would be like if they charred ALL the sides - will make this request - only if possible - next time!) Taking bites from each component of this salad makes all the difference: the acidity of the tomatoes are tempered by the burrata and the cucumbers, and the freshness of the watermelon makes it all refreshing. The onions added a bit of tart, as did the pomegranates. Didn't notice any macadamia nuts, but no matter! This is a must have! LOBSTER PASTA: Didn't happen... see below. LOBSTER ROLL: Served along with Hubbers' salmon plate (more on that later.) We had a different server at this point (our first one told us he was going on his break.) I thought Hubbers put in an order of this too, so I moved the plate to his side. Our server noticed this and said, "Are you sharing? Would you like an extra plate?" Hubbers confirmed he didn't other this. And that neither did I, but we are waiting on the lobster pasta. He then explained they are out of that dish, "was this not related to you?" Long story short, I told him I'd take the roll, no biggie. He offered to comp it, and if I like, I can put in another order. So I went for the pastrami. And as we waited for that, Hubbers and I split this and WOW. Bread was toasted and buttered perfect, generous with the amount of lobster, plating was a delight to the eyes, and overall delicious. I appreciated the aroma of the tarragon. Yum! FIVE DRAGON PASTRAMI: This is a generous serving, plenty to share with another. Lots of flavors with each bite but the well-seasoned and flavored pastrami dominates them all. The slaw was strong but the subtleness of the lappi balanced it out. Sourdough was perfectly toasted. I thought about not ordering this since I knew the lobster roll might have been enough, but I'm sure glad I went for it! Delish! Hubbers let me have a couple of bites off his salmon plate and O.M.G.!!! He sure picked a good one! Skin was seasoned crispy and the fish was so moist! This is probably one of the best versions of salmon I've had. (For the record, I rarely order anything salmon since 90-95% of the time, they're served dry, but this one here, I'd highly recommend.) FOOD: 4.75. SERVICE: 5. They were AMAZING!!! VALUE: 4. Given the location, pricing is understandable. But worth it. PARKING: Street/Structure only. All metered. And getting here will require a bit of a walk depending on where you parked. OVERALL: 4.5. Plans on coming back here with more people is now in the works. Looking forward to doing that soon!

The ambiance is lively, I recommend to sit outdoors as several other restaurants have live music and great to people watch. Huge compliments to the chef and to our incredible waiter, Peter, who was attentive and provided the best recommendations. Would definitely come back to explore more of the menu.
