This is my go to! We always order combo #2 with a jug of either of their special drinks. The server is always so attentive and the food comes out quick. I would recommend over Boiling Crab any day.

They were accommodating of our very large party. Staff are very friendly and attentive. The seafood was good.

I can't remember our waitress name but she was super sweet! We came in before they closed and she was so kind and respectful to give us time and welcome us in to have a great meal. We LOVED the crab cheese wontons, 100% recommend. We had the combo 2 seafood boil, mild, with the torpedo seasoning. Absolutely delicious!!! Next time will swap clams for crawfish but other than, delicious and so fun!

My favorite cajun boil in all of Los Angeles is Submarine Crab in Garden Grove, so I was quite happy to hear they opened a second branch in Hawthorn, right near where I have to take my kid to his band's weekly rehearsal in Long Beach. Decided to give it a try after a Sunday band practice and was not disappointed. This location is still getting settled in. It's a much more industrial area than Garden Grove and the restaurant itself is smaller. Sadly, when I went a couple weeks ago, they still didn't have any kind of liquor license, so no beer like at Garden Grove. Wah! Hopefully, that gets sorted quickly. Located in a small block long strip mall, we found service to be friendly enough. The place is pretty new and was empty. I hope that changes. Cause the food is just as good as the other location. We got the Combo C with 3 lbs. of shrimp, 1 lobster tail, 1 lb. of snow crab in torpedo sauce, spicy, and it was just as good and delicious as the GG location. The garlic noodles were also just as excellent. They didn't have any of the grilled items for some reason due to missing equipment still not installed yet. That was a shame, as I like their grilled large prawns. We tried the seafood noodles, which were okay, but we were a little disappointed because the pic in the menu and in the window shows a plate loaded with sausage slices, and what we got had very little sausage. Whichever location you are near, rush to try it. Their sauces and garlic noodles are just truly excellent. Highly recommended.

Gave this restaurant a try on a Sunday and had a pleasant experience. The service was great and the workers always checked up on us! Purchased combo 1 ($45). The sauce was a bit sweeter than I thought it would be so keep that in mind! Since summer is here, I do have to say that it is fairly hot in there since there's no AC or fans. But I know they just opened up a couple of months ago. No beer yet but hopefully they can serve that soon. The placement of the bathroom is a bit awkward since you have to walk through the kitchen but at least everything was clean. Parking: fairly easy since it's in a plaza

It said non spicy garlic noodles and it was covered in spicy oil and the shrimp I ordered the house sauce was not good. It had a weird taste to it. Won't ever order from here again.

Planned a family outing and this newer place didn't disappoint. Friendly service along with the best recommendations. We will be back.

Took a Lyft to this place, waited 10 minutes after opening hours for it to open. Called and no answer. One star.

I was in the mood for lobster and happened to find The Submarine Crab right down the street. Their lobster tail was absolutely divine. When I chose the garlic butter & mild spice option I thought I would be given a little dipping container on the side but this beauty was given the most decadent butter bath with garlic galore and a few nice little strips of onion. So good. I'm glad I decided to trust the professionals and didn't make a bland boiled lobster tail myself like I was half considering before I discovered this nearby spot. Very happy customer!

During my visit, I ordered the Connecticut Style Double Stuffed Roll with a mixture of fries and tater tots. The lobster meat was fresh and nicely flavored with Old Bay seasoning while the split roll was buttery and perfectly crunchy. I seriously can't imagine a lobster roll tasting any better. Not to be out done, the service here was outstanding. The two gentleman who were working at the counter were extremely friendly and helpful. This being the first time at this establishment, I had a bunch of annoying questions. These guys were unfazed and answered my questions very nicely. A few additional notes about this place: -You order and pay up front. It's a beautiful thing to be able to leave whenever you're done eating. -There is plenty of parking in the back of the establishment. -The fountain drink machine is self serve. It's well maintained and fine tuned. No joke, the Coke here is near McDonalds level. If you're in the Redondo Beach neighborhood, I strongly recommend giving this place a try. I've only had the pleasure of having the following items below, but I'll be back in the coming years to try more. - Calamari [7.7/10]: regardless of what size you order, the portion is generous. This place doesn't overdue it with the batter and lets the flavor the fresh squid shine - which I adore. Only giving this dish its rating because there are a few Italian spots in Torrance that have my heart when it comes to the best calamari. - Fish Tacos [8.5/10]: Every bite gives a nice crunch of both batter and fish. I've had unpleasant experiences where I've had pockets of crispy batter, here the fish tacos are so great it actually doesn't need much support from lemon and/or tartar sauce. Be sure to order a couple of these bad boys during happy hour for $5 each. - Clam Chowder [8.3/10]: This place hits the mark on the texture of a classic chowder. Admittedly my cup could have used a touch of salt. I would have liked a bigger portion for what I paid for, but if you're in the mood for something hot to compliment your fried seafood - this is worth getting. This is also featured on the happy hour menu for $5 - Garlic Fries [10/10]: My favorite bite from this place so far. Not on the happy hour menu, but 100% worth getting and eating with your fish, shrimp, crab, lobster, etc. Perfect amount of seasoning and that white wet sauce on top is so so so addicting. The unsung hero of my most recent visit was Jose over at Station 20. In addition to taking my order, he single handedly called out orders for everyone by the dining the area during the end of happy hour rush. A whole wave of customers came in less than 10 mins I placed my order so I can only imagine how overwhelming things were on the service side of things. For my most recent visit, most of my order came in and my garlic fries came in last. I could tell there was a mix up in the kitchen, but Jose apologized and said a new order would be ready for me in less than 5. Definitely worth the delay/wait imo. Food is great. Seating is limited. Customer service is superb. But once you fish your food, you gotta take a long walk along the pier. It's a wonderful way to rejuvenate and make sure the quality seafood digests well. Can't wait to explore more of the menu, including the happy hour drinks.

I've been coming to Quality Seafood for the past couple of years, usually on Fridays for fish…read moretacos, and I've ordered the same fish taco and shrimp taco combination 40 to 50 times. It has generally been a place I've enjoyed and recommended, which is why this stood out. There's always been some normal inconsistency in portion. Some days the fish is bigger, some days smaller. Same with the shrimp, sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less. That never bothered me. It's part of a busy seafood counter, and I've never felt the need to say anything. What I got today was different. The fish taco was on the small side and dry, but the shrimp taco was the issue. It was served fried, very dark, and overcooked to the point the shrimp was tough. When I opened it after a few bites, I realized I was mostly eating tortilla and toppings. There were only about three shrimp total, which is noticeably less than what I've consistently received here before. In prior visits, I've also been asked whether I want my tacos grilled or fried, including the shrimp, and I've consistently chosen the lighter, non-fried option. What I received today was not that. I approached the counter politely and simply said the taco wasn't good, pointing out the quality and portion issue. I wasn't trying to make a scene and I'm not someone who returns food, especially over something this small. I was more pointing it out so it didn't keep happening. I was told nothing could be refunded because I had taken a few bites, so I asked to speak with a manager. That's where this went sideways. Instead of listening, the manager immediately dismissed it. She repeatedly told me that what I described was "not possible," insisted they have never prepared shrimp any differently in her 27 years there, and said they only ever serve three shrimp. As someone who has ordered this exact item many times, I was essentially being told that my own experience did not happen. The conversation ended with me being asked to leave. I've worked in and managed restaurants. Mistakes and inconsistencies happen. This was a simple situation that could have been handled in seconds, either by replacing the taco or offering a refund. Instead, it was denied outright and escalated. This wasn't about a $5 taco. It was about how it was handled. Being told that your repeated experience is "not possible" and then being asked to leave is not an acceptable way to handle a reasonable concern.

Not much of a seafood fan, I was originally introduced to this fast-casual restaurant location about 15 years ago - agreeing to meet a friend for a meal there because she said they had chicken options. Thankfully, she was a generous person who let me try a bite of her Swai, and I was sold, coming back and bringing my family for meals on the regular. Sadly, as a regular, we noticed the service to be consistently inconsistent - unfriendly staff, uneven delivery of orders from the kitchen to the table (once, my whole family finished their meals before my Swai wrap made it out of the kitchen!) and not-so-clean spaces. We gave them a few chances, but eventually, removed this spot from our rotation. When the Culver City location - which is actually closer - opened, they had a different menu and it seemed our favorite items were no longer on it. So we really didn't visit there, either. And then came 2020, and as we all know, the industry has changed significantly. So... while bouncing around a last minute "let's get dinner, but the rotation feels old," I said to the fam "Let's check the menu and give Fish Grill another try!" And glad we did. The most recent menu updates have fresh and zesty items that also hit as being similar to old favorites. And though Culver City is still closer, we decided to return to El Segundo. Off the top, you could tell the space was clean and actively being kept up with sweeping and table clearing. Two very large screens replace human ordering, though there was a human helper to answer questions, and a backup human cashier to help to expedite the growing line. Brought mom, who 15 years and a lot of technology after first introduction to this location, is 79 and was not comfortable with screen ordering, but knowing a human could help if she comes back without her tech team is helpful. The human also came in handy to answer questions about the menu that were not obvious to answer (what ingredients need to be deleted from the honey citrus bowls so that they are not "spicy"? That would be the Ponzu)... tech aside, ordering was easy. The kitchen was fully staffed on this Friday evening and working hard to keep orders together. We had enough time to get settled at a table and fill our fountain beverages, and our name was called. Yes - you now pick your order up from the counter. But - at least our entire order was ready to go together! The plating of each entree was higher level than most fast casual spots. This was definitely not your sterile Panera white! Bro ordered the Triple Shrimp plate, and really enjoyed the different textures of the shrimp prepared. Mom ordered the fried Swai tacos. Though she enjoyed it, she did comment that there seemed to be more batter than fish in many of her bites. I ordered the Honey Citrus Shrimp and LOVED it! Of course, without the ponzu, it was sweet, and tangy. The shrimp was fried before it was completely coated. I ordered with slightly healthier brown rice and avocado. It was a chef's kiss meal to me. We also ordered a side of garlic toast. Actually, I'm not sure that I would call it toast as it was grilled but soft. It was covered in Parmesan. Though very good, I would have liked it to be more toasty. Very noticeably, the team was generous with requests for extra sauces - you must try the Tartar and Garlic sauces! And a nice touch was that the Raspberry Iced Tea had apparently run out, and when the new brew was in place, the manager walked around to each table to let them know there was fresh tea available if they were interested. The team was busy hustling, but took the time to be friendly. This was the experience that should have been years ago! So, at the moment I'm leaving 3 stars for all these positive points. I'm reserving the last 2 stars to come back and see if this is the new consistency, or if this really delightful visit just happened to be a fluke. And though I do eat a little more seafood now than I was willing to 15 years ago, I actually can't wait to try the Chicken version of the Honey Citrus bowl I enjoyed - and who knows, maybe I'll boldly try it with the (spicy) ponzu!
