Had dinner at Eddie V's and started with the Wagyu dumplings. They were a great appetizer and had a really nice flavor. They also bring out complimentary bread and butter, which was a nice touch while waiting for the rest of the meal. I also ordered the Caesar salad. It was fresh, crisp, and a good lighter option before the main course. For the main course, I went with the 22 oz bone in ribeye cooked medium rare. The steak was the highlight of the meal. It was cooked exactly how I wanted it, with a nice seared exterior and a tender, flavorful center. For the side, I got the lobster mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were creamy and rich, and the lobster added another layer of flavor that paired really well with the steak. The hospitality was amazing. Kept asking how was everything. Kept refilling water. Great staff. Overall, everything from the appetizers to the steak and sides made for a really good dinner. My experience here was honestly pretty average and disappointing. For an upscale restaurant, I expected a much higher level of service. Our waiter was very attentive at the beginning, but his attentiveness noticeably declined as the evening went on, and we increasingly felt neglected. There were also multiple instances where things we requested were forgotten. We ordered sorbet but it never came. When we eventually asked about it, our waiter said he thought we had decided not to get dessert, even though we had ultimately ordered it. At the end of dinner, we also asked to have our mashed potatoes packed with our leftovers, and those were forgotten as well. At times, it felt like decisions were being made for us rather than simply following what we had asked for. Unfortunately, I also developed significant stomach pain and diarrhea shortly after leaving the restaurant. I had eaten the oysters that evening, although I can't say with certainty what caused my symptoms. For how much we spent, the overall experience was disappointing and left a bad taste in my mouth. September 12, 2026 , I had been looking forward to dining at your establishment for many years and made a reservation for 4:00 PM. As a first-time guest, I was pleased to be shown to a quiet, elegant area of the dining room that seemed well suited to an upscale dinner. Shortly after being seated, however, the server learned that I intended to order one of your signature dishes. The manager on duty, Nick, then asked me to relocate to a table near the bar. That area was considerably louder and far less comfortable than the table where I had been seated. Being moved to such a noisy location detracted from what I had expected to be a refined, relaxed meal and made it difficult to enjoy both the food and drinks. For future reference, I would expect that guests ordering signature or higher-priced menu items be accommodated in an environment consistent with the restaurant's upscale positioning. I was informed the only way I could sit in the scale, elegant area of the restaurant if I decided to order something different off the menu. It's almost like I was being told what to order. I didn't appreciate that. I was also disturbed by the way the server handled the gratuity. The interaction felt pushy and made me uncomfortable; I did not appreciate that approach. Professional, tactful communication about service and payment is essential, especially in a fine-dining setting, and this encounter fell short of that standard. Finally, I was disappointed by the overall value of the experience. Despite spending a significant amount, the service and portioning -- in particular two small scoops of lobster served over bread -- did not meet the expectations I had for an establishment of your reputation and price point. In general I prefer to park my own car,but we were celebrating and my mother didn't want to walk from the nearby lot. Walking in,we were immediately greeted by their overly friendly hostess-she checked us in and made us feel quite welcome. The place is straight gorgeous inside, I was for sure happy I decided to wear my " upscale" shoes for this evening's event. Being that I had never been here before,I wasn't sure what the dress code was,I'd say it was business casual or resort evening wear attire. After a very short wait,our super-friendly server Aimi F was so very helpful in breaking down the menu for us and getting our drink orders in. Aimi F truly is the epitome of incredible customer service-I just adore how special she made my mother feel during this entire dinner. Celebrated Father's Day here and experience was kind of mixed. The entire restaurant had a beautiful, upscale feel with great energy all around. The huge chandelier adds elegance to the space. The evening started with delicious golden hour cocktail, followed by a glass of Meiomi Pinot Noir. Everyone loved the wagyu dumplings. The citrus soy sauce and wasabi add an explosion of flavors in your mouth. Oysters were excellent too; our server recommended a few favorites. Enjoyed Blue Point, Fortune and Henderson Bay oysters. Mignonette and cocktail sauce were perfect complement to the oysters. Lobsters were succulent and fresh. Filet Mignon was on point and full of juicy flavor. Bone-in Ribeye was good, but I had better elsewhere. Edges were a bit too charred for my palette. Cognac peppercorn sauce really enhances the flavor of the steak, extra $5. For our sides, we got grilled asparagus, Caesar salad, au gratin cheddar potatoes and crab fried rice, which were all good. We ended evening with their amazing banana foster butter cake. It was rich and quite satisfying, definitely be prepared to pack on extra calories (2,600). Unfortunately, service was extremely slow, and our food did not come within a reasonable timeframe. We had such a great experience at Eddie V's! We came here to celebrate our one-year anniversary, and from the moment we walked in, we felt so welcomed. When we got to our table, there was an anniversary card with rose petals waiting for us. I thought that was such a nice and thoughtful touch. It really made us feel special. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was beautiful, and our server Kevin was the best! He was so friendly and attentive and really made our anniversary extra special. I wished to connect with her in an effort to re-establish our work relationship after being out of the loop the last few years. I was hopeful that Eddie V's would prove an ideal location with which to impress. Indeed it was! We began what would turn out to be one of the most enjoyable outings in fine dining since I have been in L.A., and the South Bay/Manhattan Beach area in particular. I can say that Eddie V's hit on all three elements that most look for when considering fine dining options-the ambiance (location itself), the food, and of course my #1 thing-the level of customer service! Other than past experiences in my 2nd home of New Orleans, (where top tier customer service is to be expected from "hole in the walls" to century old restaurants such as Antoine's, Galatoire's, and Commander's Palace-this was bar none my best fine dining experience in Los Angeles.......ever! Over the course of the next few hours, we would indulge in the following: Starters: *Caesar Sald-light and scrumptious. (I devoured this option in under 10 minutes) *Shrimp Cocktail-presented as a table spread as opposed to the shrimp being hooked on the outside of a generic wine glass. The crab was incredibly soft and fresh, and it paired so well with the complimentary bread and butter with a squeeze of lemon juice. It was super cool how they prepare the Tableside Steak Tartare right in front of you too. The mashed potatoes were buttery with plush chunks of lobster; super filing as a side and would be good to share amongst at least 3-4 people. The only thing I didn't particularly care for were the oysters. I hate to do this because I have been going to this place since they first opened, but tonight was a pure disappointment. The quality of the food was bad, we were overcharged on our bill, and the service failed us. For the food, the yellowtail appetizer was tasty but the prefix steak was super chewy - the flavor and the texture were not acceptable. Do not get their prefix menu. It is not worth the money. Not sure how you can mess up a Cesar salad but they did. We waiting another 25 minute for our au gratin potatoes 1/2 side to come out which was crazy. People order potatoes to go with the steak. The server said he would remove the potatoes from the bill but I did tell him that the steak was bad and he didn't offer anything. Martini was good but $22 for a vodka martini is crazy. Hollywood and dtla have better deals. We spent over $200 and left unsatisfied and disappointed. The quality has gone down severely. This was our second time going to an Eddie V's. First one in Austin, Texas and now here. We made a 4:30 reservation for our anniversary. This place was exceptional ! Restrooms were very clean and service was incredible. We ordered 6 count Oysters, Oysters rockefeller, sashimi, lamp chop lollipops, bulleit sour, spicy margarita, lobster bisque, burrata salad, steak tartare and also a paramesan crusted salmon. My husband is a very picky eater and he doesn't usually eat much but that day he helped me devour EVERYTHING. We left in a food coma hahaha. When we sat down at our tables we were greeted with a table that had a thank you card and congratulating us for our anniversary. Great dining experience! Presentation of the hope diamond cocktail was fun with the diamond ice cube. The point judith calamari was a generous portion. My filet mignon was cooked perfectly. The grilled asparagus and crab fried rice were the perfect sides. We were so full from dinner so didn't order any desserts but our server kindly dropped off a complimentary dessert sampler! They should offer a butter cake that is not bananas foster style. Bar service was extremely slow, so much so that we didn't order more drinks. I was impressed by the extravagant entrance even before entering the venue. A doorman opened the door, which I found very flattering. The ambiance was very exquisite and upscale. We checked in for our reservation and was escorted to our table. I started with the 24k cocktail as it sounded interesting. It was decent. I especially liked the gold sugar rim. I ordered the whiskey glazed salmon and it was quite delicious. The establishment was pretty busy and with that being said, the food came out pretty briskly. Yes, you guessed it, I had the privilege of spending my birthday at Eddie V's this past weekend (May 22 for anyone who is keeping track). I have been here before and it is one of my favorite places for a boogie happy hour. However this visit, I was here for dinner with my friend on Shawnté Day (put it on your calendars for next year!) I was greeted with a smile and kind words by the gentleman at the door. I am not sure what his official title is, but it definitely set the vibe to have a handsome man in a suit opening the door and greeting me with a smile (Check). When I entered the hostesses were very nice, and when I informed them that it was my birthday, they lit up and gave me well wishes. My date was waiting patiently in their designated waiting area (because I always show up fashionably late), and we were escorted to a beautiful round booth in the lounge/bar area. We decided to get a bottle of Vueve Clicquot yelllow label and ordered the 8oz Flilet with an add on scallops, he got the 8oz as well. And we both opted for the Parmesian horseradish crust ... Ahhhhhhhmazing! Dizzert (yes I spelled that correctly) was the banana's fosters, which burned for an insanely long time, but it was delicious. Overall plus plus. My only feedback would be that our server, as nice as she was, was a little too chatty for my liking. Maybe it was because we were in the bar area, but if I wanted to chat, I would have sat at the bar. This location was great except on our night the kitchen didn't know how to cook steak lol. It came out well done (we wanted medium rare) and then they brought out a raw steak. Didn't want to wait again and let it ruin our dinner so we didn't say anything. Beef tartare was fresh and they prepare it tableside for you. Delicious oysters with a sweet vinaigrette was my favorite! Their lobster bisque was also rich and creamy. I ordered the scallops and they were perfectly seared! Got this dish as the "Chiefs Kiss" thinking it was one price only to find out it was 3 separate prices for each item. That was a big disappointment and I felt I was misled. Waygu dumplings were not as exciting as I thought they would be in flavor and wrapping was quite dry. Iceberg salad came with large slices of bacon atop. The overall dining experience was great. The only small issue is that my friend (we were there to celebrate her birthday) stated that upon checking in... Nick was unpleasant and showed some frustration because she updated him on the party size. 2 people did not show up due to a last minute emergency. This place is my absolute favorite and I'm still upset that they closed the Newport Beach location. The cocktails are always made with perfection and ice cold. I was craving a dirty martini so when my bartender Keilani asked me if I wanted blue cheese stuffed olives, oh man was she reading my mind. The oysters are so fresh and delicious and I love the mignonette here. Even better when on happy hour pricing. And the crab cake....I eat the crab cake here as a meal because it's that full of meat and delicious. I also tried the Mini Filet Mignon sandwiches today and they were delicious. I loved that this location in El Segundo had a nice indoor/outdoor bar and patio seating. They also had some nice live jazz music. The service from the moment you are greeted at the door is always on par too. I was so worried they wouldn't let me in today wearing shorts but they very warmly welcomed me in. My understanding is you just can't be in athletic shorts and a sports bra in general since this is a very nice establishment. Beyond the Menu--where we step out and explore the full dining experience--chose Eddie V's Prime Seafood for happy hour, and the experience was a mix. The ambiance is elegant--definitely sets the tone when you walk in--but the happy hour menu is a bit limited and on the pricey side. Now let's talk about the highlights. Our waiter, Sean, was amazing--attentive, personable, and truly made the experience better. We ordered a few items, and the flavors did not disappoint. The lump crab cake was delicious, the lollipop lamb chops were cooked just right, and the African lobster sticks were my favorite. The sliders, though, were my least favorite of the bunch. As for drinks, I had the Narrative Chardonnay--smooth, dry, and just right. Yolanda enjoyed the spicy margarita, which she said hit the spot. Eddie V's definitely feels like a hot spot--one of those places people come to see and be seen. It gave me a little bit of that Friday's-in-the-80s energy, just elevated with a touch more class, because of the folks who were there. I have to admit, it was a little amusing watching the reactions at the front--those quiet "what in the world..." looks from the hostesses and waitstaff when certain people walked in. I even caught a little whispering and nodding in certain directions... like, "Oh, we see what kind of night this is about to be." And if you read between the lines, you could almost hear it--"Yeah... we probably ain't getting no great tips tonight." We had en exceptional experience celebrating our anniversary here. Service was incredible attentive. Our server was great, table was cleared promptly and we had 2 managers stop by to check on us while we dined. The ambiance was very nice. It was classy and intimate but not so dark that I couldn't read my menu haha. The food was incredible! Our steaks were cooked perfectly. The lobster tacos are a must! Tasty cocktails too. I really don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. I will definitely come back here for another special occasion but also will add this place to my happy hour list! read more

The restaurant is beautiful, and the food is very good. Steaks at our table were modestly overcooked, but not offensively so. Cocktails are delicious and service is efficient. Not many of the servers appear to be terribly happy, but I'm not sure if that's the day I was there or if that's a culture of management. Nice place for a date though, and I'm pretty sure the Mac n cheese is cooked with something illegal and highly addictive. I ate more than my share and could have kept going. read more

We were celebrating July 4th and my friend and I came here after not finding parking down at the beach area. We were both in shorts and felt very underdressed but the hostess and servers were very gracious and nice about it. Their Lobster Roll was tops-- one of the best I've had, and paired with Chardonnay it was delicious. The atmosphere of the place is 5-star..great furnishings, perfect lighting. read more

We had a very pleasant experience first time dining at Eddie V's. We came with our 2 toddlers so we requested to be seated outdoors and i'm so glad we did. They had a fire pit which made the ambiance really nice and cozy. Our server was very attentive and made sure everything was okay. We got the caviar, yellowtail sashimi, oysters, sea bass, crab stuffed shrimp and crab fried rice. Our apps came out fast. Everything was delicious! The crab fried rice was a tad bit under cooked but it wasn't a big deal. Our kids loved it. The rest of our food was cooked well and flavors were 10/10. I'm still thinking about the sea bass with that delicious soy broth, served in a bed of sauteed spinach and a side of ginger. Absolutely good! read more

It's a privilege to hear that Jazz band that makes you dream while you have dinner.... And then enjoy the best Martini in Southern California brewed by Jazmyn,,, OMG!!
