The corner bar is a great bar where there is always something going on. They have a great selection of draft beer with my personal favorite Allagash, which most places don't carry. They have a pool table if you feel lucky and want to be competitive. Fabio, Nico, Nick, and Gus are usually there so you can ensure you will have speedy service and a good time if they are pouring the drinks until 2am. read more

I'm giving The Corner Bar three stars because I wanted to keep this review positive, but honestly, the experience was just okay. There were some things I enjoyed, but overall, I didn't leave feeling like this was a place I would go out of my way to visit again. That said, I think there is potential for a better experience, and hopefully my next visit will be different. I always try to be fair with my reviews, and while this wasn't a terrible experience, it also wasn't one that really stood out to me. read more

Cool bar to hang out at. They don't have food, so you need to bring your own snacks, but they do have chips. The service is good, and the environment is nice. Also, the music is good. After eight or nine, the drinks are pretty good too -- not watered down and reasonably priced. My fave spot to turn up after a long week with my hubby read more

Security guards are tweaking here. Ladies, be careful. This is not a safe environment.

First time at Corner Bar to watch a semi final soccer game and it was the spot! Nick and Gustavo put the ambience to it. I can only image the World Cup here. Appreciate the hospitality, will back again. read more

The Corner Bar - Team lost but great times. - Bars Near Me - Hawthorne, California

Had ordered a tequila and pineapple just how we had previously ordered. Bartender mistaken our order with a Henny + pineapple and we had kindly mentioned if he can change our order back and gave us attitude (customer is always right. I worked in customer service/ sales) yet still charged us a Henny price instead of tequila when he changed our order which was double the price. (Not cool at all!) if there's a Next time can we just get the right order as Requested with out the ugly faces and not get a up charge ? Thanks.... read more

I've been coming to this bar for a while now, and it never disappoints. The space and people are always inviting, relaxed, and just the right amount of lively. What sets this place apart is the staff. While they are consistently busy being friendly and attentive, they seem to enjoy what they do genuinely. Whether you're a regular or just dropping in, they make you feel welcome every time. read more

Was thinking heavily on whether to leave this review or now, but it may be helpful to folks in the future. As a previous customer, I never had issues with Corner Bar. Unfortunately, after visiting here recently with a friend, we discovered we had been roofied at The Corner Bar. We're not inexperienced drinkers and visited The Corner Bar expecting chill vibes and great music. We ordered a mexican candy shot each and followed with a single draft beer. By the end of the night, we hadn't finished our only beer we ordered and decided it was a good time to head home. Neither of us remember anything past leaving The Corner Bar, and we both suffered from memory loss the next day after passing out immediately upon returning home. 1 beer and 1 shot should NOT be enough to make you black out. Thank god nothing happened to either of us, but it could have ended so much worse. If you're a woman and you come here expecting a good time PLEASE be careful. You never know what type of people are lurking here with ill intentions or the intent to harm you. I hope this is something that the bar is able to address to their customer base and supports customers who come forward about feeling unsafe in their bar. read more

Chucky is hands down one of the best bartenders I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. From the moment you sit down, he makes you feel welcomed with his great energy and friendly personality . He has the ability to read the room and connect with customers. Whether you want to chat and laugh or just enjoy a quiet drink, he gets it. He's fast, attentive, and somehow manages to keep everything running smoothly even when it's busy. I'll definitely keep coming back--5 stars all the way! read more

The customer service was fantastic and the atmosphere was amazing! However, when I came to watch the Dodgers playoff game, the TV sound wasn't working, and they didn't make an effort to fix it. They don't serve food, but you're welcome to bring your own. read more

Not for out of towners! Left the COSM and staying in a hotel near the airport, this bar looked good as we like divy type places. Music was so so, the staff were nice but you could tell they were over it, drinks were good. We had our drinks felt totally unwelcome, targeted and left. read more

Very chill place with a great dj, bar service was very good. Take care of their customers pretty well!

I came to this bar last Friday night to celebrate a friend's birthday. Upon arrival it was packed! We could barely get in. This could be a good/bad thing depending on how you feel. It took at least 10 minutes to get the bartenders to even make eye contact to take our drink order. A nice gentleman at the bar made a point to get one's attention. The bartender nodded at him but he proceeded to not even care. He along with another bartender could've easily taken our order, but instead they'd rather joke around. When they finally took my order, I will admit the drinks were STRONG. Probably to compensate for the delay. Not bad. I couldn't complain about my Mai Tai's. The DJ was pretty good that night. They mixed some old hits mixed with current ones. The crowd was cool, everyone seemed pretty friendly. No fighting & no creepy behavior. The night turned left when my friend had her phone stolen. Some lowlife straight took her phone from the table we reserved. I'd beware of your property when you come here. People may walk up and mingle with you, while another person comes up on your stuff. It was a vibe here outside of the slow bartenders & thievery. Definitely may think twice before coming here. Unfortunate. read more

Real cool chill spot. Youngest crowd would be like early 30's but it's mostly older heads. This spot has a juke box with good music choices and pool tables. If you are looking for a really cool chill dive bar then this is your place. Service was good when I went here. Didn't get to try the food though. read more

Very small intimate bar, the staff is very friendly! Even the ones that don't speak English. The music machine was super high tech, took a minute to figure out. THE DRINKS ARE BOMB. Strong & BOMB! They are NOT stingy w/ the liquor. We had 2 strawberry mango Bellinis and 6 margaritas (in total split between two people) The ONLY Downside is THEY DO NOT serve food, I repeat THE DO NOT SERVE FOOD. Literally the only downside, because some bar wings would of SLAPPED w/ the drinks! I recommend for sure just don't come on a empty stomach! read more

This place definitely has all of the bones of a good bar: Polite patrons Mixed crowd Different genres of music Amazing drinks (try the cucumber shots) Pool TV Super nice bartender's HOWEVER, The owner was behind the bar and came to where we were and angrily said "do NOT smoke your weed or your vapes inside the bar!!" Shooed his hands. ..and walked away. I don't smoke, neither does the person that came with me. Then a man sitting next to us, pulls out his vape pen and puffs out smoke. So we call over the owner, and tell him who is actually smoking. And what does he do? POLITELY asks the man to not smoke inside and to make sure he does that stuff outside. The owner gave a half assed apology, while still being rude, and walked away. Definitely soured our entire experience. I don't live in the area anyway but I highly doubt I'd be back. If the color of my skin makes you assume I smoke weed and to be angry and aggressive straight off the bat when interacting with me, then my money isn't going to be spent here. Dear reader please ensure you are of a lighter hue when visiting this establishment, especially with the owner ;( read more

Had an awesome night, this place is a hidden gem. instantly loved the vibe. A killer playlist/ DJ that added to the laid-back yet classy atmosphere. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. All the bartenders were not only fast and attentive, but genuinely fun to chat with. You can tell they take their bartending skills seriously here. Everything came out quickly, and even though the place was getting busy, the service never lacked. The crowd was a great mix--dates, small groups, and a few solo folks at the bar. It had energy without being chaotic, which is exactly what I like in a bar. Definitely recommend this place if you're into quality cocktails and chill, grown-up vibes. I'll be back for sure. read more

Following up a year later from my original review. Yelp is glitched and I cannot reply normally. No, I am not mistaking The Corner Bar with another business. A friend from my group must have brought food from somewhere else. I have not visited this place since the bad experience I had and thankfully haven't seen this kind of service from every bar I've been to since. Again, if you want strangers ordering drinks on your tab, go to The Corner Bar in my hometown. read more

The corner bar is absolutely amazing! Me and my friend come here all the time. Everyone that comes in is so nice and friendly including the workers. They make drinks so good. If you ask them to watch your drinks they will. Even when it's busy they still get to you as quickly as possible. Never been to a better bar than Corner Bar. Overall 10/10 would definitely recommend! If you're looking for food they don't have food....but they have chips and you're able to bring food. read more

Owner was kind so I feel bad writing this but I have to because nobody should be mistreated for no reason this guy serving drinks was mean like beyond disrespectful this place is to nice for that kinda attitude and not even dressed well , I asked to buy a drink mind you I was waiting for like 20 minutes with my arm out trying to get someone's attention , so we get outside and the guy that served the drinks was outside as well and he continues with his faces and smart remarks towards women outside , so I asked the guy if he speaks to men the same way he was speaking to me when I was being respectful, and he asked if I was threatening him ? Like I come from west Covina and I never experienced a "worker or workplace " like this I felt so offended especially since I came there with a positive attitude and to have a good time at this bar , and I left feeling really hurt and offended by this man . read more

I've been coming to this place forever and I've seen it evolve over the years. I love the vibe Albert has created. The pool table is in pristine condition, and there's never a shortage of shooters. The list can get pretty long so come early. My favorite bartenders are Luis, Oscar, Cristian, and Albert. Drinks are good, company is even better. Friday and Saturday nights have a dj and it gets pretty crowded. Bathrooms are super clean! Plus you can watch any sporting event. There are TVs throughout and a great sound system. All I have to say is this is...THE PLACE. If you're a cute lil hometown babe in South Bay. Games are always on, people are a vibe, bartenders are cool as sh*t. Especially the tall hunk behind the bar.. CHUCKY (aka the boss man). Seriously, so kind and genuine. Thanks for making this place feel comfortable. Keep up the good work Corner Bar. You can tell you have many regulars and close relationships with your customers. It's a small bar but cozy with a pool table, lots of tables, long bar to sit at and lots of ventilation. Also a dance floor that isn't ready for my cowgirl boots. Cheers CBAR. Mothereffin 11 stars out of 10. read more

Que in the theme song now, "Where everybody knows your name..." Yup, it's that kinda bar. Everyone seemed friendly and happily getting drunk. The crowd was super hyped up once the song Tragos de Amargo Licor came on. Tip: Drink specials are posted on both ends of the bar so check those out. Also, the house Cab is surprisingly an elegant choice. It reminds me of Silver Oak. The bartender mentioned that him and his brother hand picked that particular wine and is their go to wine. I can see why and will forever be mine too! Definitely, check out the Corner Bar if you're in the area. read more

Best bar in town. I come here for special occasions (bdays bdays and bdays) and every time there's something memorable about this place that you'll never forget. Feels like a man cave, from pool tables, flat screens in everything corner, even has musical instruments up on the wall. In town on business and staying near LAX. I prefer local places when traveling, so I decided to try The Corner Bar in Hawthorne on a Sunday evening. The bar is definitely a "locals" place, but the guys behind the bar and the patrons sitting next to me at the bar were all friendly. The bar area was spotless and very organized. All of the employees were working hard. Everyone was moving all the time, making drinks, cleaning the bar, etc. I don't know who owns/manages this place, but their people are well-trained. They have about a dozen beers on tap. Whoever chooses the selections has an eye for beer. There was something for everyone. A few craft brews and a number of best sellers, from IPAs to Belgian whites. The liquor selection was pretty complete, including some really decent whiskeys. The bar has a really nice vibe. It was casual, with good music and friendly people. A really diverse crowd, who all seemed to be there to have a good evening. Highly recommend. read more
