Our server was amazing and would give him 10 stars if I could. He was super understanding and accommodating with allergies/food restrictions. He was on top of everything which was really impressive because it was pretty busy for father's day weekend. The food was also perfection. I tried the duck confit, duck fries, and brussel sprouts which all tasted amazing as well. Our server immediately suggested the kids meal and it was brought out pretty quickly so it was impressive how thoughtful they are with kids. If you're not driving on the track, the mimosa was tasty and I want to try the sangria next time (their wine collection looks really good by the way so would love to have more to say on that). Ambiance was also perfect--very chill, very aesthetic. You can see the track from the restaurant and you can even step out onto an outside patio to watch the cars. Restaurant is very clean and decorated well. There were tons of kids around when we went, none of which were fussy (which no judgment if they are, I get it) but I think that shows how kid-friendly and family-friendly this restaurant is, which isn't very easy to find. Just because of that I would definitely come back. We reserved at the earliest they had open that day (11am) and they were able to hold the spot for half an hour max--it wasn't too crowded yet but already a good amount of people coming in. They also had a shopping event that day so that might also be part of it. When you first walk in, there is a visitor log you sign into and they give you a badge that you return when walking out. Had no idea this restaurant is inside the Porche dealership. It's upstairs. You just fill out a visitor thing on the computer at the front. Reservations book super fast. Came with Paul and Kevin and we had to sit at bar as all the tables were booked opening time on Friday morning! Food's really good. We got a bartender that's a foodie so didn't steer us wrong. Had the octopus, the tuna carpaccio, duck fat fries, spinach, and the pork loin. I wasn't too impressed with the pork loin, it was ok, I wouldn't order it again. But everything else was really good. Also had their mint condition cocktail and it's really tasty. This was genuinely the best octopus of my life. I got the Spanish octopus only because I didn't feel like eating meat but it was the best decision I could've made. It was super tender and the gochujang flavoring with braised cabbage was incredible. They give you complimentary bread and the quality was great. It was warm, buttery and fluffy but that wasn't even the best part. It came with a side of butter in the shape of Porsches topped with flaky sea salt. I think that most people would enjoy a visit to Restaurant 917. If you like cars, I would definitely recommend dining here. Even if you don't care about cars, I think you will still enjoy it there. I noticed a large, private room too. Be sure to make a reservation if you want to dine here. The restaurant is nicely furnished and there's a nice view of the cars driving around the track outside. FOOD The 917 Burger is surprisingly good. The bun is so soft and perfect. The patty is nice and thick but also tender, juicy and flavorful. I just love this place. I booked this place for 3 weeks in advance. Reservations for a Friday is tough to get so we settled for Wednesday at noon...for 3 people. We got there a little early so we can check out all the Porsches in the lobby...very cool setup. We had the Sea Bass, the Short Rib and the Burger. All were very good as expected, BUT I think the only thing that was filling was the burger...so two of us ordered dessert. During our meal we got to watch people testing Porsches on the track. The service we got from our waiter was outstanding. I definitely recommend this place for any occasions...but I might be a little bias. I always love to bringing people here as much as possible. Pretty fancy restaurant located on the 2nd floor of the Porsche Experience Center Los Angeles. Reservations are extremely hard to get - you'll have to look 1-2+ months out but for any shot at preferred times you'll need to look exactly 3 months out. It's a good experience but for the given hype, it's overrated and a one and done experience for me. We got the 917 burger with duck fries and black truffle shavings ($25 supplement) to share. For dessert, we got the corn éclair. Before the burger, they gave us pretzel bread and butter complimentary. The butter is really good and aesthetically shaped like a Porsche. They were nice to give us an extra set of butter to take pictures. The burger was aesthetic with the 917 logo stamped. I think it comes with fries since we only got charged $8 supplement to sub duck fries as opposed to paying a full $16 for the side. The burger is so good with the patty being cooked to medium rare, along with the other ingredients combined to a really good flavor profile. The duck fat fries were distinctly delicious and fragrant, and the truffle is a good experience for a relatively affordable price compared to truffle supplements at other high end restaurants, though note that the flavor is not as potent as "truffle fries" since real truffles are fainter in flavor. The corn éclair is quite interesting - sweet and savory. It is beautifully presented and it was satiating. I'd stick to the burger and fries, since the dessert did not wow me as much. Ambience is good. You get to see people test driving Porsches as an experience package, and you can't go wrong with any seat. Service could be a bit better for a higher price tagged restaurant, as it took a few reminders to get water and fulfill requests. I've been meaning to come here for a while -- as I have many business related customers I take to dine and meet over lunch. I didn't have a reservation, but figured it wouldn't be too busy at 11:15 am. When we arrived there were many tables available. I was told they were all reserved and the only available seating was at the bar. I watched the tables over the course of our lunch at the bar and couldn't help but notice that several tables went empty the entire time we were there. I wanted to sit face-to-face with my customer, not bar style, so that was a bit uncomfortable during the meal. We started with the BLUEFIN TUNA $32.00 smoked ginger, jalapeño, onion, truffle ponzu -- it was an excellent appetizer and it should be at that price point. For mains, she ordered the SNAKE RIVER FARM STRIPLOIN - $57.00 potato pavé, chimichurri, broccolini, port reduction. I ordered the JIDORI CHICKEN $35.00 - creamed potatoes, haricot verts, mushrooms, red wine cream. I asked her what she thought of the steak and she said it was good, but not great. I would comment similarly to my dish -- it was good but not anything I would probably order again. The DUCK FAT FRIES $18! -- truffle salt, garlic aioli, fines herbes - were quite good and they should be for that price point. We both had desserts which were nice. Brown Butter Bourbon Ice Cream $13.00 brown butter streusel, crushed toffee . Really nice dessert -- not too sweet. I asked the bartender for the check. She didn't smile or say anything. I said it again. She says to me: "I heard you the first time." It was really embarrassing that a server would talk to a customer dropping $200+ on a lunch in front of a client. It was cooked perfectly and tasted good, but nothing special or memorable for a forty five dollar entree. More of a solid dish rather than an impressive dish. Today was a wreck at the 917. First time at PEC so wanted to check out the options. The helpful gentleman at visitor check in recommended i see the restaurant. I was a single so hostess sat me at the bar by request. Then it got weird, I became invisible. The bartender(s) said Nothing to me. For like a while. It was literally uncomfortable silence. No hello. No be right with you, just making cocktails but not friends. After about 5 minutes I went back to the hostess to let her know I'd been ignored for that whole time. Bartender finally acknowledged me and gave a half hearted apology and excuse about busy finishing an order. No multi tasking here. I ordered a beer and hit the balcony to watch the track / cars. Cool. Came back and the mess at the chair next to me was still there. Jeez for a VHE very high end establishment wtfudge. No water offered yet despite an empty glass. Ordered some duck fat fries. Duck Confit was delivered. Yikes, amateur hour. Manager asked if I received any bread. Nope. Crash and Burn my hide. And now it gets good, better. The pretzel stix and butter (shaped like little porches) was Excellent. When the fries came out, they were hot crispy and smelled divine. The flavor was also very deep. So the kitchen was on point. This is a great place for a date spot or to take your porsche lover friends to visit. To begin, there is a huge parking space for you to park at. You walk in the front doors and they ask you to check in where you fill out a waiver form. On the first floor there are lots of car models on display for you to look at! My favorite was the GT4rs. There's also a 3D model of a map of the whole experience center as well as a Porsche shop (for you to get merchandise) and a cafe with outdoor seating to directly watch the porsche cars go on the track! To go to the restaurant, you take an elevator or stairs up to the second floor where they check you in for your table. All the seating in the restaurant allows you to watch the porsche on the track course which was great! I will point out that our service was a bit slow as we waited 20 minutes before our order was even taken; I feel that the restaurant service may not be as well, but this place is more so for the experience you have going there and watching the cars on the track. We ordered the 917 burger and the eggplant which both tasted good. The burger wasn't too dry and the patty meat was flavorful. The eggplant was nice although I wished it was cooked a bit softer. The sauce on it was delectable though! The burger comes with fries but we upgraded them to truffle fries which costed an additional 25. I feel that people usually would come for the experience more than the food though! We came for a birthday and I brought in a cake, however, they do charge an additional cake service fee for bringing outside food in. They offer demonstration laps around the course for prices that range from 115-160 depending on the model you pick. This is definitely a great date spot for anyone who is really into cars or is looking for good food in general! I took my boyfriend here for his birthday last month and he said it was one of his best birthdays yet. We had a reservation for 1:15pm on a Saturday but arrived 30-45 mins before. Upon our arrival and after checking in, the host was able to get us seated right away. Our waiter immediately came over after we got seated and greeted us before asking what we wanted to drink. He was very attentive, quick, and knowledgeable. I wish I got his name! We ordered the waygu burger with duck fat fries and the short rib ragu. The waygu burger was cooked perfectly and was very juicy (8/10). The duck fat fries were crispy and is definitely something to try. I didn't think cooking fries in duck fat would make it so different but it was delicious (8/10). The short rib ragu had to be our favorite. The pasta was cooked at a perfect Al dente and the sauce was very flavorful (9/10). While we were eating, we had an amazing view of the track/course. We could see all the cars performing different tricks on the different areas of the track (hydroplaning, drifting, simply going fast, etc..) We'd heard good things about the restaurant at the Porsche Experience Center and were disappointed we couldn't book a table when my husband made his drive appointment, like a month in advance. As it turns out, reservations are scarce but you can totally walk in, as we did this past Saturday. I'm guessing a lot of tables are set aside for the drive experience customers, who spend hundreds of dollars to go around a track and might appreciate a place to sit and eat. My husband's drive wrapped up at 11:00, along with all the other 9:30 appointments, and we stopped by Restaurant 917 just in case they had an opening for our party of four. We were seated immediately. The space was great, sunny and relaxing with a view of the track, though no one was driving at that particular hour. The vibe was a little businessy, a little upscale chain hotel lobby, with good service and a full bar. No one was mad that we were there with small kids. In fact, they both got Porsche coloring books and crayons when we sat down. We got a round of drinks and they were both nice and refreshing. The Tropical Drift was a sweet tall cocktail with Kikkori whiskey, peach, and tropical tea. The Ruby Star was a breezy tequila drink with Tequileño, hibiscus flower, yuzu, and ginger. The food was solid, starting with some pretzel bread served with butter and salt. The butter was shaped into a pair of Porsches (don't ask me what model), which was kind of a cute detail. My husband and I shared a scallop crudo, which was pretty delicious. Silky raw scallop with strawberry, cherry tomato, jalapeño, cucumber, avocado, cilantro, tangerine oil, and a zippy green aguachile sauce. I got the 917 burger for my entrée, and this was decent, with an 8 oz. wagyu patty, garlic aioli, bacon, caramelized onion, and gruyère. It needed some acid and tasted much better when I borrowed some jalapeño from the crudo. I paid to upgrade the side of fries to duck fat fries with truffle salt, garlic aioli, and herbs. I liked the seasoning and herbs, but the fries were soft and pale. The kids got butter pasta and chicken tenders with fries, and their fries were better than mine. I wouldn't go out of my way for Restaurant 917, but I was glad to get lunch there when we were already at the Porsche Experience Center. Don't be intimidated by the dearth of reservations. Amazing from beginning to the end. Thank you front desk for being so accommodating. My appointment was at 1 PM but we were early because we did the demonstration lap at the experience center which is just downstairs and outside. We went at 12pm and they took us in. Really thankful. Food was amazing all around! Love everything from the complimentary bread to the main entree of any beef. Thank you staff for small gift of banana bread for our anniversary at the end of the meal. WOW!!! First timers and we loved our experience! This place books up quickly so keep checking their website for reservation slots. My fiancé made reservations three months in advance. The race track can be seen from all tables but of course the best view is anywhere by the window. Service was a 10/10. Everyone was beyond friendly and made some great recommendations. FOOD/DRINKS: *Pretzel Bread w/Butter - This is complimentary. The bread was warm and soft. The butter was shaped like a Porsche which was very cute! *Peach & Tamarind Mulita - This was my favorite drink! I've never had a peach and tamarind mule before and it was very good. It's great if you don't want a super sweet drink. *Blueberry Basil Margarita - The blueberry and basil combo was delicious. Very refreshing too. *Hamachi Crudo - Beautiful dish! Each bite was packed with flavor. The yellowtail was fresh. I loved the smoked ginger and garlic bits on top. *6oz Hangar Steak - The steak was sooo tender and I enjoyed the chimichurri. The mashed potatoes were well seasoned. *Maine Lobster Pasta - Delicious! The lobster was a decent size and cooked perfectly. The sauce was creamy and the capers added a nice tang to the dish. *Peanut Butter Chocolate Bar - It tasted like an elevated Reese's cup with ice cream.
