We took a friend here for lunch today and everything was A+! Parking is free and right next to the restaurant which in LA is always a plus. First off, the restaurant is absolutely gorgeous and everyone made us feel so welcoming for our friend's birthday. Our server, Alycia, went above and beyond to make our visit so special. The service was outstanding and our food was delicious. We had the Club Sandwich smoked turkey, applewood smoked bacon, tomato, avocado, provolone, onion brick, roasted garlic aioli (two of us) and the Smash Burger-double-stacked Wagyu beef, American cheese, house sauce, lettuce, tomato, and onion. I had truffle fries that were delicious as well! For dessert, we had the Sticky Toffee Pudding with Fosselman's Salted Caramel Ice Cream and caramel sauce. Thank you BOA for making our friend's birthday so wonderful.

This was not our first time at BOA, but our first time at this location. I can say for sure we'll be back! Our delightful server Edgar was the cherry on top. He was attentive, patient and had the best personality. Thank you, Edgar for the amazing dining experience. My steak was kinda dry but the temperature was perfect. The chicken Parmesan is enough for two to share, so we'll be taking some of that home. The Wagyu meatball is so tasty! The classic Caesar salad is the BEST, and the Brussels sprouts with chorizo were delicious, even though we couldn't find any chorizo. All in all a great experience and we will return.

One of the best steakhouses I've been to! The server was really knowledgeable and gave great recommendations for our larger group. The wagyu flight was delicious. The meat just melts in your mouth. The center cut filet was also cooked to perfection and seasoned well. All the appetizers and sides we had complimented the meal perfectly. Highly suggest the Mac and cheese as well as the smashed broccoli. It was seasoned so well you forget it's broccoli. Also recommend the cookies - the white chocolate macadamia was the perfect way to finish the meal

Filet Mignon Center Cut with a side of Bearnaise and Peppercorn.

A friend invited me to a birthday dinner at BOA Steakhouse in Manhattan Beach in early July 2026. I had never been nor heard of BOA but was excited to try their many steak offerings. Now, I am not a steak aficionado so my review will be quite tempered. If you look at their menu, you will see that this restaurant offers typical steak cuts such as American sirloin to Japanese Wagyu. If you prefer a lean cut of steak, then order the Filet Mignon. If you like a large piece, then go for Center Cut. If you can't finish a man-fist sized steak then order the Petite size. I ordered my steak medium done with bearnaise sauce and peppercorn sauce on the side. This was a conservative order considering that filet mignon does not contain fat, yet the seasoning of the meat was clean while the texture was tender yet hearty. The side sauces elevated the flavor. For example, the bearnaise had a citrusy taste that was perfect for summer while the peppercorn had a heartier flavor that made the meal more robust. For sides, I tried the lobster macaroni which had a strong seafood flavor that I could not abide. It also was not cheesy or saucey enough for me. No melty texture that most people like with mac and cheese. We also shared cream spinach which was acceptable, nothing impressive. We also had a side of fries which tasted like thick cut fries from a fast food joint. I wouldn't care to re-order these fries ever again. I would experiment with something more interesting. My dining mates ordered the Ribeye Medium which they enjoyed. I didn't try it so I cannot pass judgement on it. Shockingly, what stood out tus most of the meal was the dessert. We were gifted a toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream. The pudding was a beautiful dark coloring which reminded me of aged rum. The texture was smooth with a sticky honey sweet topping that reminded me of lava. It paired perfectly with the crisp vanilla ice cream. Just divine! The server was incredibly kind and thoughtful to us. The restaurant itself was majestic in its jungle design. I did not feel like I was in Manhattan Beach because it felt so tropical. I definitely recommend this place for its steaks, but I wouldn't try different sides.

Got you bestie -- added that in seamlessly and polished: Absolutely 5 stars. I'd happily pay for this experience again. So glad they brought one of my favorite restaurants from Hollywood to Manhattan Beach. I love the decor and ambiance of this place. Everything from start to finish was amazing. The service was amazing from start to end. Happy hour is such a vibe. The entire happy hour menu is perfect. So fun and worth it. The caviar cones were my favorite. I also got the oysters, which were so fresh. I got the fish and chips and truffle fries, and it did not disappoint. The Caesar salad was so good and they prepare it tableside, which made it even better. The BOA Fusion drink is my favorite. So good. And don't even get me started on dessert. The sticky toffee pudding and cookies are to die for. And of course, the wagyu was incredible. 10 out of 10 experience. I can't wait to come back.

Came in on a Sunday late afternoon with some friends to celebrate. We were able to grab seats at the bar. Our server was very nice and we retreated by the host immediately who is also very friendly. We ordered drinks and fries to munch on. The ambience was nice. The restaurant was packed. I was definitely come back for dinner service as this was my first time at the Manhattan Beach location. Edgar was amazing and super attentive.

What a fabulous dining experience! Everything from beginning to end was superb. Our service was impeccable - the waiter was thee ultimate host and was very knowledgeable of the best items on the menu. There were a few items we should've taken his advice on bc the options we chose weren't the greatest. The wagyu cigars 0/5 The complimentary tofu app 0/5 Our steaks- the cowboy Cajun and NY strip 5/5 - simply delicious and made to perfection. I thought the sides were good also but needed just a bit more seasoning. Our mocktails were very refreshing. Complimentary anniversary dessert was beautiful to the eye and delicious to taste - it looked much sweeter than it tasted and that was totally fine with me. The ambiance was soooo beautiful and made us feel like we were on vacation. We'll be back!

Can't say enough about our experience at BOA in MB. Our waiter Kevin was awesome, the staff was kind and the people dining in were so kind too. It was a very positive and safe space. The food was amazing and so were the cocktails. Definitely be back with more family and friends.

Good! Really good! Came here to for lunch with friends. It was a beautiful space, artfully designed, good food, great customer service, 1/2 dozen oysters. Fresh and tasty beautifully presented. Beef tartare. Well prepared and served with toasted bread and fries. Delicious!

We had a couples dinner with a couple of friends and their S/Os at this BOA location in Manhattan Beach. The overall experience was very good. I don't remember the individual price of each item. However, the prices are in line with other high end steakhouses. We started off with the Full seafood platter, and it was packed. We enjoyed oysters, mussels, prawns, lobster, crab meat and I think poke. All of the seafood was super fresh, and the amount of food was plentiful for 6 of us. Secondarily, we had the bone marrow at the suggestion of our waiter. The meat on the toast was super moist, and the torching of the marrow at the table was a cool touch. Between all of us, we had ribeyes, NYs and one person had a filet mignon. There were no complaints, and the steaks were made as requested. The sides were really good, esp the fries and mac & cheese. The tallow fries were super crispy bc they were fried in beef fat, and the mac & cheese was rich from the truffle. Lastly, the comped desserts were a great way to end a savory meal. We appreciated the gesture bc of our large tab. Regarding the ambiance, its big in here and the tables are spaced nicely. It was easy to carry on a convo. Our waiter Kevin, was super knowledgable about the menu, and was on top of all our requests. He also decanted the wines we brought, and brought us fresh glasses for each wine. He also checked to make sure there were no spots on the wine glasses: The mark of a detailed waiter. We tipped him 20% on top of the taxed amount. Secondarily, the Manager, Vinny stopped by to say hello, and introduce himself. That was a nice touch. The only downside to the experience was at checkout. Corporate charges a $5.99 fee to pay via QR code. This is underhanded in my mind, and I refused to pay it. The Manager, Vinny stepped in and made it right by processing the payment the old fashioned way. The $5.99 fee should be eliminated bc most customers prolly don't notice it. Corporate should give full disclosure so customers can make informed decisions.

Another enjoyable meal here. This was my first time coming for lunch. I ended up ordering a steak, but learned that they have burgers and sandwiches on their lunch menu! It's a really nice space inside and the service was friendly and attentive. The cook on my steak was a bit inconsistent, but still tasty nonetheless. The creamed spinach and fries were also delicious. This is a nice, upscale spot for a meal!

This review pertains to happy hour. Came here with a guest and had a nice time while doing a little people watching as well. Surprisingly enough, things weren't busting at the seams for happy hour other than what appeared to be a few business groups that were either coming from or preparing to leave for LAX. While preparing to order we noticed a nice touch..... It appeared that the large groups that were preparing for travel or had just arrived had a fair share of luggage and baggage with them. The host didn't hesitate to inform them that there was a place the restaurant could keep their luggage and belongings to get them out of the way while they dined. Nice! But back to the food.... We both went ahead and ordered the smashburger, with cheese and it was cooked to order. We went ahead and grabbed two crab cakes at $30 bucks a pop (not from the happy hour menu needless to say) and they were delicious. Last last but not least, the CSA, or customer service All Star was Renato. A very attentive gent whose recommendations were spot on as well as the quality of his service. Definitely recommend this joint particularly for happy hour.

Had the best birthday experience for one of my close friends from the world of design. They gave us the works, delicious appetizer ( bone marrow stocks), crispy wagu finger rolls. Of course the steak was the star of the show. It was only up staged by the exquisite customer service by a team of excellent waiters and waitresses. They made the Birthday girl feel like royalty.

You can also go solo there and eat at the bar. The steaks here are the best as is all their food. They make their own rolls and they have an interesting vegan salad made with kale. Their coffee is just great. All of their sides are wonderful, but you must get their jumbo asparagus and their mashed potatoes. They also have great desserts, but add something chocolate please for those of us not fond of carmel or toffee. A must have is their starter crab cake. When we arrived at our table, they had a card signed by staff congratulating us, and it was a night to remember. Great food, great service, and the warm hand towels after my dad demolished the baby back ribs were the cherry on top! Our group also ordered the chilean sea bass, salmon, and bistro plate. 10/10. One of our final meals as a family of two was Valentine's Day 2026. It was our first time being seated indoors, and the ambiance was dim and romantic. The meatloaf special was fantastic! Fast forward to June 2026, and we brought our 3-month-old son to his first NIck's meal (unfortunately, he could not partake) and to celebrate my husband's first Father's Day. On this reservation, I put in a request for outdoor seating that gave us enough room to park our stroller and car seat, and they were able to accommodate that. They were also understanding when me and my husband were running a few minutes past our reservation time due to fhe baby, and we appreciated the flexibility. Noise level was moderate, but definitely quieter outside. If you get nothing else from this review, just remember this: ORDER THE WARM BUTTER CAKE. YOU WILL NEVER REGRET IT. Easily the highlight of the trip was my sister's birthday dinner at Eddie V's Prime Seafood in El Segundo. Parking was pretty simple as they have valet parking. In general I prefer to park my own car,but we were celebrating and my mother didn't want to walk from the nearby lot. Walking in,we were immediately greeted by their overly friendly hostess-she checked us in and made us feel quite welcome. The place is straight gorgeous inside, I was for sure happy I decided to wear my " upscale" shoes for this evening's event. My favorite appetizer easily was the Wagyu Dumplings-I've never quite had a flavor so unique-I really enjoyed it thoroughly. For dessert we shared a crème brûlée ($15.00) and they gave us a complimentary bananas foster for my sister's birthday. We had such a good experience that I decided to visit the El Segundo location the following week for my Dad's birthday. Bought my Dad, Mom, and sister to this El Segundo location and also had a great experience! But since I was at the Huntington Beach location just a week prior, here's a bit of comparison: - This location has a bit more Market Table items - This location has garage parking that is free for 90 minutes with validation. We went past the time a bit and only paid $2 - The lentil soup at this location tasted yummier! This one had spinach wilted in the soup, and the flavor stood out more. Plant-based proteins such as lentil soup filled me up. I also appreciated the chickpea, edamame, and black bean salad. Other fresh produce included salad greens, tabbouleh, cucumbers, pickled onions, asparagus, broccoli, marinated mushrooms, hearts of palm, beets, capers, olives (green and Kalamata), peppadew, and Peruvian drop peppers. As for roasted vegetables, there was cauliflower, zucchini, eggplant, artichoke hearts, peppers, apple & butternut squash, and a cabbage stir-fry. Fresh fruit included papaya, kiwi, yellow pineapple, pink pineapple, blood oranges, and dragonfruit. The one area I wish were better was that there was a single disabled parking spot right in front of the restaurant, which would have been helpful for my elderly parents. But apparently it's only for valet use. Why does the valet need to park that close? What's the point of valet when it's that close? Overall, a good experience and delicious meal. Also, they comped a dessert for my Dad for his birthday which was super nice. We came back a few months later for my sister's birthday, and I ordered the Seared Tofu with chimichurri. Pretty legit!

Only 3 downsides the drinks were pretty weak and pricey, and I wasn't offered any form of water besides the $9 blue bottle of water in which I paid and was good however I should've been offered a glass of free ice water for the price you pay to dine here. 3rd downside is parking there is none so valet is the only option available. Other than that great location, great service and I'll be back with my fiancée again for sure!

My guest ordered the Burrata with Prosciutto which really looked good. I got a taste and it was a delight to our taste buds. I began with the Fleming's salad which is always very good. Perfectly seasoned dressing and fresh lettuce. For the main courses i ordered the center cut main fillet and my guest the Prime New York strip steak. My steak was cooked very well, a bit more than the medium rare I ordered, but still very tasty and tender. My guest's NY steak also looked great and he loved it. Both main courses were very well presented. We ordered the Crispy Pancetta Brussels Sprouts to share as a side. It was an average side and nothing to write home about. This restaurant has eliminated several of the sides we enjoyed in the past including the sizzling mushrooms. Next time we might just skip a side order. All in all it was a wonderful meal and we had a good time. Our waiter was very attentive. The managers visited our table several times which I thought was a nice touch.

Very overrated. The service was stellar, I want to make that clear. That being said, the quality…read moreof the food and how it was prepared was only ok. The steaks were somewhat bland, I tried the NY Strip and the Filet Mignon. Both were nothing to write home about, I've had better steaks at home I bought from Bristol Farms. Also the meat was overcooked. "Medium Rare" was brought to us more like "medium" and one of the filet medallions was "well" not "medium." The sauce for the medallions was over salted and the French Onion Soup was like eating a bowl of salt and was pretty much inedible. My party should have sent some of these things back but was being polite and pussed out. People said the lobster was good but I didn't try it. The Bearnaise sauce side tasted off - again, something I can make way better at home. Overall we had a nice time but were NOT impressed by the food, and for a $600 with tip dinner bill for a party of 7 would not go back here. A dinner like this for this price should knock you socks off and not be "ok".

The have two private rooms, both with doors you access from.the outside, not through the restaurant. There is also a dedicated restroom for these two private rooms. One room hold 10, the other 20 with a diverted to open up for a larger group, at least 30 or 35. The kitchen is behind these rooms. We were a group of 20 plus and I thought the staff did an amazing job keeping up with drinks and getting all the dishes out about the same time! Everything came out piping hot and cooked perfectly. The food. I had high expectations for the food knowing it's a Simms restaurant. This one specializes in steaks but also offers Pork Chops, Fish, Chicken and Pasta. We started with Parker House Rolls, highly recommend ordering them! Warm amd so good. I noticed they also offer Popovers, so our next visit, that's going to be a tough call! Next I ordered the Fench Onion Soup, something I truly miss from.the East Clady abd rarely see on a menu! When I do, I order it. Generous serving but not too much to spoil the steak I ordered! Lots of cheese! Next came the steak. I ordered the Petite Filet (8oz), rare. Cooked to perfection! Nice seasoning on the outside and great flavor. Served with sauces as well. Our sides were mashed potatoes and asparagus, served family style. I can't believe I ate it all, but I did, too good not to! Of course, dinner isn't complete without dessert! They have some great options for dessert. I.ordered their cake of the month which was Mango Mousse Cake with Fresh Mango. I took it to go. When I got home, I tried a few bites. A few hours later I had to have more and finishing it up! Can't wait to go back!

Our reservation was at 6:15 pm, and we arrived a few minutes ahead of schedule due to concerns about traffic. We had to wait a few minutes for our table to clear, and we were seated. Water was provided and an extensive wine list was provided. I found two local wines indigeneous to California to order, which was great. The food - well, it was fantastic. We ordered their Steak Tartare and Caesar Salad for appetizers and both were delicious. For the main course, we had two people order their Filets and two people order the ArthurJ Steak Sampler. The meat was cooked to order and nicely seasoned, and sauces were offered and provided when selected. For the sides with the steaks, we went with their Crispy Brussel Sprouts and Butter Laden Mashed Potato dishes, which were very good. Ambiance is pretty much classic steak house vibe - the World Cup was on the bar screens, and we were just enjoying the food and the company.

Made reservations a few days ahead and Gary reached out to see if there was anything he could help accommodate with to make our evening special. That was a very nice gesture. There have been many changes to the place since we've last been and the ambience was very nice outside and in. Could lean fancy or as casual as you'd like. We had the roasted Brussels sprouts, steak frites and the scallops. Everything was amazing! Good quality, cooked well. Steak was exactly medium rare and scallops were cooked to perfection. Word of advice, if you get the Brussel Sprouts, get extra bread to soak up the sauce as you enjoy the sprouts. Can't wait til the next time!

But no worries, we love leftovers! Food is always so creative and wonderful.at Tin Roof. Although we no longer live in Manhattan, still one if our favorite restaurants. Food and service are stellar! We started with cocktails, and of course prepared by our favorite bartender / cocktail specialist extraordinaire, Clark. Off Your Head (Bloody Mary) and Ophella's White Sangria. Both were very tasty! Tin Roof has an excellent cocktail program as does their Simmzy's locations. We started out with Brussel Sprouts. Definitely a hit with the whole table. Tin Roof definitely has the best around, flavorful with a nice crunch, never soggy! We all ordered a variery of starters for our first course. Several had Ceasar Salads. Several had the Watermelon and Feta Salad. One had the Bloddy Mary Deviled Eggs, and another had the Fig; Pistashio, and Cottage Cheese Toast. Everyone loved what they ordered. We were full before our next courses arrived! Our server was Malcolm. He was very attentive even though it was an extremely busy afternoon since it was Father's Day. He was very helpful explaining some of the options only offered on today's menu. They offered a Bistro Burger (five out of six of us ordered!) and I wanted to know how different this burger was from their Simmzy's Burger (my personal favorite). He was spot on, explained it was smokey in flavor and quite different with the pretzel bun. It was so.good, served with fries (best shoestring fries!), onion rings, and piled so high you had to use a fork and knife to eat it! We left beyond full! Definitely we will be back soon!
