I came here after a nice bike ride to hear my friend DJ Hydroe and his wife dj a 45 rare grooves set. The place, food, service and vibe were great. I was vibin so hard, I forgot to take pictures. I will have to make up for that on my next visit. Wanna go and experience their brunch.

Came for happy hour and food was tasty. Got a dozen oysters to share and was only $22. Their Happy Hour is really reasonable and will definitely come back. Our servers were just awesome and very helpful. The color scheme inside is so girly and cute. Love all the pink

A vegan harvest bowl is not something I'd usually rave about yet this was absolutely packed with flavor! Grilled vegetables, forbidden rice, fresh avocado, tomato and leafy greens drizzled with a terrific vinaigrette. Would order again. And the French fries here are perfect-crunchy outside, fluffy inside-like what fries used to be! Love the Miami Vice color scheme. A great addition to Hermosa.

Huddy's only recently opened but I suspect they will soon become one of the most popular places in Hermosa Beach. The restaurant has a soothing decor and design style, reminiscent of laid back beach vibes and fun/energetic Palm Springs. We visited during happy hour and enjoyed the Mr. Nice Guy deal and also a dozen oysters. Both were delicious, especially the burger with its 50/50 beef/duck patty. Yum! The fries were also very good. The bar tender was very attentive and friendly. Great place all around and I look forward to another visit.

Stopped by Huddy's in HB on 5/2 around 9:40am! It took a while for someone to approach us as there was only ONE person working as the server, bar guy, & host. A big shout out to my guy because he was holding the restaurant down, but I'm sure that was extremely overwhelming. Didn't get the workers name, but he was calm, kind, & funny! On another note, I had chilaquiles, deviled eggs, & an iced coffee. Everything was great! I LOVE the green and pink vibe of this place.

Food was amazing! Service and ambiance was great. Love the colors that they used! The bottomless mimosas were $25 versus 1 for $10, definitely worth it.

Super cute brunch! Started with the espresso martini and lost track of how many bottomless mimosas I had. They have a wide variety of brunch items on the menu but I was very happy and satisfied with the omelet I had. I scarfed the whole plate down and left no crumbs. The vibes in there were spectacular and I love that they have a DJ playing on Sunday's. Looking forward to many more brunches here

This place has been transformed over the past few years as it has changed hands at least 3 times. It is now Huddy's. It previously housed L&B Coastal & The Stanton HB. I used Open Table to make a reservation. It wasn't necessary on the Thursday evening we went. We were given the option of sitting in the main open area where the bar is or sitting in the room to the left. We were informed that there was going to be live entertainment in the main area, so we chose to room to the left. After being seated, we were brought out some ice water with the rest of the carafe left on the table. It was still Happy Hour for a few more minutes, so we put in our order from that small menu. We shared: *Edamame + Shishito Peppers ($10 HH) ~ these came out hot. Mostly Edamame with a few Shishito Peppers on top. *Mr. Nice Guy - Huddy's Smashburger, Fries, Martini ($25) ~ the Smashburger comes out with lettuce & tomato on the side. Build your burger how you want. Doesn't include a pickle. The patty is supposedly beef and duck burger. The fries were cold & limp, so we informed our server. He brought out nice hot & crispy fries. This is how they should have been to start with! I will give them credit for leaving the cold fries with us because that ensured we were getting new fries and not our fries reheated!! We didn't eat the cold fries. *Charred Market Veggies - rainbow carrots, cauliflower, & broccolini ($8) ~ lovely presentation which I haven't seen done with veggies before! They're all sitting upright in the cup (the same one the fries are served in. The veggies were on the very al dente, barely cooked state. They were also coated in some sort of oil. Almost made me wonder how healthy these were afterall! *I drank the Martini that came with the Smashburger at HH. I got the Lychee Martini. For me it was pretty strong, but most all drinks are for me! I liked that it was sloshy, like very melted slushy. It came with a piece of canned lychee on a flamingo toothpick. Very cute! The ambiance here is great. However, once the live music started, it competed with the music coming out of the speakers in the room we were in. The decor is mostly green and pink. Gives a tropical feel, like Miami vibes especially with the flamingo lamp at the check-in desk! But we're in Hermosa Beach, so it must be West Coast themed? I did notice the picture of the Beverly Hills Hotel close to our table with the same color scheme. We saw two people just about trip on the edge of the large carpet while we were dining. We told the staff about it. Hope they tack it down so nobody really takes a tumble! I would be interested in trying the Habanero BBQ Pork Ribs. If we were looking for drinks, this place might better suit us. I'm not sure we'll be back, but who knows.

Came here for dinner with a few friends and it was a cute vibe! The basic rita was good but the porn star martini was incredible. Highly recommend! My friend got the frozen pina colada but it wasn't frozen so that was a disappointment. We got the edamame and ahi tuna poke to share. I wasn't the biggest fan of the edamame but the poke was decent. It was like a chip and scoop type of appetizer. The shrimp scampi was very good but my favorite was the smashburger! Wow it was so juicy. Definitely would order again. The bread with butter was also one of my favorites. This place use to be the Coastal restaurant but was bought and revamped. Overall it was a cute place. Beware it gets very loud in there so it was hard to hear everyone!!

Such an amazing new addition to Hermosa!! We came for brunch and Miranda served us drinks at the bar, William was super helpful in guiding us through the menu. Everything from the drinks to the food was delicious. Highly recommend :)

Vodka martini w/ Kitchen sink garnish (olive, onion, lemon) and their vietnamese carajillo

Came here for the Happy Hour "Girl Dinner" and had the BEST time! First off, what a GORGEOUS ambience. Like the Beverly Hills Hotel combined with Hermosa charm. Secondly, all of their food and drink looked amaaaaazing I can't wait to go back again and try more! Third, they had live music (which was a surprise to me) and it totally complimented the vibe. All different kinds of seating and everything was comfortable yet chic. Parking isn't terrible because it's not directly at the pier so that's a plus. The owners really put effort into every single minute detail and you can tell- you can feel the magic of this restaurant.

From the hand shaken fresh margaritas, I got the pineapple Serrano cilantro, to the complimentary fresh tortilla with honey butter and salsas, + the ocean breeze from the Pier, it's hard to complain. To share my table of 2 ordered the: * La asada con salsa (cooked medium) - comes with a side - we chose the corn - and rice and beans 10/10. I could drink the chimichurri sauce it came with and the meat was tender and cooked to perfection * mole blanco enchiladas - chicken Machacha, queso, chipotle pepitas, arroz de tomatillo and frijoles Nevro . 9.5/10 and I fear I will never want to have mole any other way. I also got a complimentary dessert of choice for my birthday. I opted for the fried ice cream (horchata flavored) which was divine and the perfect sweet treat to end the meal. The ambiance is lively, I recommend to sit outdoors as several other restaurants have live music and great to people watch. Huge compliments to the chef and to our incredible waiter, Peter, who was attentive and provided the best recommendations. Would definitely come back to explore more of the menu.

If you don't feel like a tiki drink they also have a few beers on tap or canned. PAINKILLER: Pussers navy rum, Pussers gunpowder rum, Goslings 151, coconut, pineapple, orange, bitters. This thing is strong! You can definitely taste the rums and 151, but at the same time the bartender was able to make it well-balanced and taste like a very good, but strong cocktail. ROYAL RATIONS (seasonal cocktail): Kuleana hui hui & agricole rums, hawaiian sun passion-orange, pineapple, lime, passionfruit 18. It sounded like something that I would enjoy, but I would skip this in the future and order the other drinks on their island classics or hula classics menu. Overall, I'm glad I checked out Hula Hula Room. Already planning my next visit to enjoy more of the drinks on the menu.

I got a mimosa to start which was good but small. I then got a Aperol spritz which was good and worth the price. I ordered the breakfast burrito with sausage. It was so yummy! And Hubbers suggested this place for a late-ish lunch because he's been here before and had a positive experience. Outdoor seating only since we had the furballs. We had our choice of where since we were the only customers on a late lunch hour. Servers were so patient with our pups (even when they were moody - my apologies!) and were even nice enough to bring them water bowls! It was a cool and cloudy day, but that didn't damper anything. In fact, we appreciated it coming off the heat wave from the last couple of weeks! Everything on their menu looked so good, it took me awhile to decide. But Hubbers and I agreed on the Kayak Tide Tray (+4 extra oysters) and the charred watermelon salad. In the meanwhile, I battled between lobster pasta and five dragon pastrami. (The pasta won out.) Hubbers went for the cedar planked Ora king salmon. And a couple of cocktails to wash it all down! KAYAK TIDE TRAY: The seasoned scallops were my favorites, hands down. The sauce was fantastic and didn't overpower the scallops' main essence. The oysters were shucked fresh and the sauces elevated the flavors a bit. Shrimps were chilled tender and had a nice chew. Cocktail sauce added flavor. The mussels? Sad to say, but half of them were served still frozen hard. So we took our time with it and let it thaw out which didn't happen until we were halfway our meal. Overall: excellent. CHARRED WATERMELON: This plate was so well put together! And not only is it pleasing to the eyes (nice touch with the micros!), it was the same with the palate. Watermelon was fresh. Charred only on one side (I'm curious what it would be like if they charred ALL the sides - will make this request - only if possible - next time!) Taking bites from each component of this salad makes all the difference: the acidity of the tomatoes are tempered by the burrata and the cucumbers, and the freshness of the watermelon makes it all refreshing. The onions added a bit of tart, as did the pomegranates. Didn't notice any macadamia nuts, but no matter! This is a must have! LOBSTER PASTA: Didn't happen... see below. LOBSTER ROLL: Served along with Hubbers' salmon plate (more on that later.) We had a different server at this point (our first one told us he was going on his break.) I thought Hubbers put in an order of this too, so I moved the plate to his side. Our server noticed this and said, "Are you sharing? Would you like an extra plate?" Hubbers confirmed he didn't other this. And that neither did I, but we are waiting on the lobster pasta. He then explained they are out of that dish, "was this not related to you?" Long story short, I told him I'd take the roll, no biggie. He offered to comp it, and if I like, I can put in another order. So I went for the pastrami. And as we waited for that, Hubbers and I split this and WOW. Bread was toasted and buttered perfect, generous with the amount of lobster, plating was a delight to the eyes, and overall delicious. I appreciated the aroma of the tarragon. Yum! FIVE DRAGON PASTRAMI: This is a generous serving, plenty to share with another. Lots of flavors with each bite but the well-seasoned and flavored pastrami dominates them all. The slaw was strong but the subtleness of the lappi balanced it out. Sourdough was perfectly toasted. I thought about not ordering this since I knew the lobster roll might have been enough, but I'm sure glad I went for it! Delish! Hubbers let me have a couple of bites off his salmon plate and O.M.G.!!! He sure picked a good one! Skin was seasoned crispy and the fish was so moist! This is probably one of the best versions of salmon I've had. (For the record, I rarely order anything salmon since 90-95% of the time, they're served dry, but this one here, I'd highly recommend.) FOOD: 4.75. SERVICE: 5. They were AMAZING!!! VALUE: 4. Given the location, pricing is understandable. But worth it. PARKING: Street/Structure only. All metered. And getting here will require a bit of a walk depending on where you parked. OVERALL: 4.5. Plans on coming back here with more people is now in the works. Looking forward to doing that soon!

I mean seriously, the level service feels way more elevated than it needs to be. It's also a delight that when they bring you dishes, they give you a small background of each dish. Just a fantastic dining experience all around with great food. Easily one of my favorite new (to me) restaurants and my favorite in the beach cities. The menu had enough items where there was a good variety, but not so large as to overwhelm. What we ordered...and I really enjoyed each and every dish. Individually and as a whole. I really wanted to love this place. I read all the glowing…read morereviews and convinced myself the negative ones were probably just misunderstandings... but wow, I had it completely backwards. First, the restaurant itself is undeniably cute and cozy, tucked away in a corner of Hermosa Beach. Our first impression was honestly great, and we were excited to try it. Our reservation was at 5:00 PM, but when we arrived, the staff was still inside having what looked like a team huddle or group therapy session well past opening time. At first I thought maybe I got the hours wrong and they actually opened at 5:30. Nope -- 5:00 was correct. I understand pre-shift meetings happen. But maybe do the motivational speech at 4:50 instead of making customers stand outside after your posted opening time? They finally opened the doors around 5:10. Once seated, our server introduced himself by saying he was also one of the chefs, and apparently everyone dressed in white both cooks and serves. I didn't really understand the concept, but honestly, I don't care who brings the food as long as the food is good. These are what we ordered: SQUID -- This tasted like it had been marinated directly in seawater. Painfully salty. I genuinely did not understand the dish at all. Boiled squid with egg salad? Why? The portion was tiny, and we were hungry, so we basically used the mussels tart to dilute the salt enough to finish it. MUSSELS TART -- Actually delicious. No complaints here. BISTRO SALAD -- This was honestly shocking. It was SO sour that it was practically inedible. -- we literally take straight lemon shots every morning but this dish was hard to eat. This wasn't "bright acidity." This was weaponized vinegar. Bitter, aggressively sour, and tongue-numbing after one bite. We had to send it back because it was simply not edible. CABBAGE -- Flavor was good overall, but parts of it were so burnt that I genuinely questioned whether it was intentional or someone forgot it existed in the kitchen. Maybe it's culinary art I'm too uncultured to understand. FISH DIANE -- Delicious. No complaints at all. What ultimately made us decide we won't return wasn't even the inconsistent food -- it was the attitude. They still charged us for the salad we literally could not eat after sending it back. Then the couple next to us asked to keep one menu because they planned to order more later. One of the servers told them not to leave it on the table because she didn't want the menu to get dirty. The menu was a single flimsy printed paper menu. Not leather-bound. Not handmade parchment from the 1700s. Just printer paper. The whole experience felt oddly pretentious for a place serving burnt cabbage and acid salad. Some dishes were genuinely good, but the hospitality felt nonexistent and the food was wildly inconsistent. Cute restaurant, but definitely not somewhere we'd return to.
