Everything was nice. Food, ambiance. I just wish the server had more wherewithal. She did not ask my semi non-verbal child if she heard him correctly so missed his lemonade order. She saw he was crying when his brother got a drink and he didn't. She knew it was her inaction and offered to bring another lemonade. She kept apologizing for making him cry. ...Yet she charged us for the lemonade. :/ He was upset. We were not thrilled. A simple: Did I hear you correctly? Just to make sure, etc. would have been helpful

First time at HT grill. Came for a birthday dinner. Great location in Riviera Village. Very busy on a Saturday evening. We sat inside, and it was loud. We sat right near the bar area, and it was very lively there. Food was very good - the Margherita pizza, piccata chicken, surf and turf (free for birthday person - must show ID), and wagyu burger were outstanding. Staff was friendly. Good for a group, and festive atmosphere. Reasonable valet parking.

Ended up here for a friend's birthday. Brunch. And it was a good experience. Parked Valet. I didn't want to do laps in the area looking for street parking. It was easy enough and I don't remember exactly how much, but it was single digit. Call and ask or find out if/when you go. I don't know the restrictions for street parking. You're on your own there. Walked in shortly after opening. Asked to sit at the bar as I had arrived on Ran time. Means early for those of you who don't know me. Had a cocktail at the bar - bartender ended up being our server as well. Nice guy. Attentive. Friendly. Don't know why he would be assigned tables outside while watching the bar. Wasn't an issue as it wasn't busy. Towards the end though ... Food was good. I went for an omelet. See pics. Wasn't spicy but remedied it with hot sauce. I wasn't expecting the portion size - pics are deceiving. I couldn't finish the side potatoes. I did have room for a second cocktail though. The bartender/server made some really nicely balanced drinks. Not too boozy but not watered down either. I'd go back there just for drinks alone. Overall it was a chill mellow experience. One that I'd repeat but the next time I'd opt to sit inside. Or sit outside again but around the firepit in the evening.

Another amazing night at HT Grill! Came in to celebrate my mom's 80th Birthday and HT never disappoints! The service was excellent, fast and accurate, where a team effort showed. The ambiance is always great (especially on live music nights). Tonight there was no live music but the restaurant was as buzzing with birthday parties. The drink selection is filled with excellent wines and spirits, full bar service here! The menu selections are also excellent with good price points for all and excellent tastes! We started off with appetizers of Shrimp & Callamari served with an amazing chipotle dipping sauce as well as a seafood cocktail sauce and a juice lemon wedge to accompany the dish. I chose the Chicken Piccata this evening and it was quite delightful! Served with perfectly crispy finger potato and asparagus! I paired it with a wonderful Willis Hill Chardonnay. And ended the night with a Banana Bread Pudding which was also excellent! Absolutely love HT Grill and their menu!

Perfect place for an afternoon beach walk & lunch that leads into happy hour! They have Tini Tuesdays for $10, my favs are the HT Classic and Espresso Martinis. Every birthday we take friends because you get a free steak and lobster entree if it's the exact day, how can you beat that deal! They have a good happy hour too, we love the hummus plate and chicken gyoza. I always sit on the patio and the staff is accommodating with the fire pits and heaters when it gets a little chilly. The service is quick, and the vibes are cozy. I have fond memories throughout the years from Thanksgiving dinner to the starting point to all the holiday strolls. Great stop when I want that South Bay home town feel.

It was my friend's birthday so we went for the free surf and turf. Early reservation at 6pm and we're seated right away. Unfortunately we sat for 10 minutes and had to ask the hostess who was nearby for our server. Then two people came so I assumed one was in training. After that we had service. Friend loved her surf and turf. My salad and crab cakes were good. Hubby liked the streaks of balsamic vinegar on the pizza. Ordered chocolate chip cookies for dessert which were warm. Free birthday dinner is a great deal. Not sure if I want to return as nothing I tried was outstanding.

First off, this review will probably end up hidden under "other reviews that are not currently recommended." Yelp isn't fair about when you leave an honest review & will either delete this review or hide because this is no longer an honest site due to their cherry picking. We went here for my birthday for the Turf n Surf which was great. It was the perfect amount for me but if you eat a lot you might need two of them. The lobster & steak was good along with being cooked right. Even the veggies were tasty. The service was really good too. Our waitress was friendly & attentive to our needs. As it got crowded, it got a little loud especially with one woman who couldn't stop talking. After she left it was much better. We will definitely go back next year for my birthday.

I've lived in Redondo forever, and somehow this was my first time at HT Grill. Went on a Friday night, grabbed a spot in the bar area, and got treated to some great live music right off the bat. The drinks were on point and the espresso martini especially was next‑level. I ordered the surf and turf, and it was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. Between the food, the service, and the music, this place pretty much checks every box.

OMG!!! Best ever short ribs (boneless), broccolini, mashed potatoes & pretzel breadsticks were off the chain! Best bartender - Alfredo!!!

OMG!! the food looked so good. I had to take a picture of it. Best ever short ribs (boneless), broccolini, mashed potatoes & pretzel breadsticks... the Tall, Dark & Ginger cocktail was amazing!!! Be sure to have bartender Alberto to make your day like you made mine!! say hello to Clarence the handsome manager. He was also utterly amazing!! I will returned.!!

Always a fun experience at HT Grill! I meet up with a friend here every other month or so for a weekday lunch. I love their patio, and the chill, relaxing atmosphere. Today we split the Wedge Salad and Lobster Mac and Cheese. Large portions and so good! Friendly service, too. We'll be back!

I've had a love, and less than love relationship with this restaurant. I've posted the good and the less than good. I dined this time on my birthday. The restaurant goes out of its way to make an actual birthdays really special. I brought along my ID expecting having to prove my birthday but the waiter took my word for it. I started with the house salad which was pretty large for the price. Their house dressing is really good and got the meal off to a good start. My main course was the Surf and Turf. I honestly thought it was Surf "OR" Turf and was pleased to know both were included. The lobster was large and cooked perfectly. It was removed from the shell before broiling and not only looked seriously appetizing but also tasted great. It was tender and served at the right temperature. The filet steak was medium rare, just as I ordered. It was as tender and flavorful as similar steaks at high end restaurants. It didn't need any seasoning as its rich flavors were downright mouth watering great. My guest enjoyed the Beef Birria Tacos filed with braised short ribs. It was the first time he tried this dish and he really loved it. And it was presented really well and looked great. This was an excellent experience. Our waiter was attentive and very friendly. He was accurate and our meal was definitely not rushed. I appreciated his attention to making us feel welcome and appreciated.

HT Grill was great! Came here for the birthday special (if you know you know!) to treat my dad. We shared an order of calamari/fried shrimp and it was super tasty! I ordered the branzino and it was fantastic. The mashed potatoes were yummy and the sauce really makes the dish so good. Portion size was large and prices are not too crazy. Definitely a fancier sit down dinner spot, but great for celebrations or a nice dinner with friends or family. Service was great and timely. Parking is a little tough, but it's like that in the riviera. Meters or park on the beach side streets and enjoy a nice stroll. Would definitely go back!

Is the free birthday Surf N Turf only given on the birthday? Would it be offered on the date right after birthday as well?

Only on the day of your birthday. You must show a manager your ID to prove it's your birthday. It doesn't say on their website/banner but apparently there is some age restrictions, too.

Is there parking for pick up?

Yes, ther is parking behind the restaurant in a lot entered on the street behind.

Seating: usually like to decide beforehand if I want to sit on the patio or inside. Most of the time, I prefer the patio, and that's what we ended up with. Service: Staff immediately offered the heater, which I readily agreed to. Two people spoke and helped us out outside of the waitress, meaning they were constantly checking in on us. This checks out similar to the service I received last time I was here. Food: We had nachos. I had mole and the chido way cocktail. My boyfriend had dark Mexican lager and cochinitta pork dish. I was really happy with our The food was excellent, and my cocktail was truly exceptional. It was on par with some of the best fancy cocktail bars I've visited, yet prices were more reasonable, typical of a restaurant. The mezcal was smoky and delicious. I also noticed that most of their cocktails are tequila and mezcal based. You should get a cocktail if it's your first visit. Vibes: It's always loud, especially at its peak on a Saturday evening. I can overhear bits and pieces of conversations from three tables next to me, but somehow it all fits perfectly. Suddenly, a live mariachi band started playing an emotional Ballad. It's always cool when I run into live music when I'm here. I like it here! Wanted to let you know that they seem to have slightly increased the prices vs the menu? It wasn't updated on the menu, but for example my Mole Negro was $1.50 higher at checkout mentioning so others are aware.

We weren't really starving, just wanted to check the vibes, try the food and see how it was. Unfortunately, things just weren't how we were expecting. We love mexican food and we are used to the food trucks that we can find everywhere in LA. I used to have tacos from the taco truck across the street from me when I lived in San Pedro and they were just perfect, simple and on point. I think I had that idea when I ordered the taco, but it wasn't really what I expected. It was bigger and looked beautiful, but the amount of spice was extremely high, which didn't even let me taste the flavor. And on top of it, the salt felt off too. Too much spice, not enough salt. My fiance ordered tamales, and the mole was more on the chocolate side than anything. The flavors just didn't match. Service wise we have nothing to complain about. They were nice and helpful! It's just the food that wasn't good for us.

They don't have a cocktail menu. The bartender can basically make any drink you want. Our server suggested the gin and tonic which my friends got and I opted for a whiskey sour. It was smooth and well made but considering that there is a cover charge, I expected the drinks to be phenomenal or for the vibes to be really amazing. However, I felt that the place was overall a bit lackluster. It didn't look particularly nice inside. Kinda reminded me of an old restaurant with a few tables and chairs. They had Halloween decor up and were playing Halloween music or random 80s music. I also wished the lighting was a little darker or it would have been nice if they had live music or a live DJ. And this one time I was there alone with another, no other patrons just staff members walking around from time to time. We stole the moment to dance under the Long Beach sky, just the two of us as a famous Christina Perrio song gently wafted in the night breeze. At another separate time, I was at the Los Angeles County Fair with another. We rode the ferris wheel at such a time where our gondola stopped at the top just as the sun set. The moment was nothing but beautiful and life affirming because the sinking of the sun's light was like a real life video of nature happening in front of us, unburdened by static or data stall. We witnessed nature resting, and I feel, that it was a kin to a beauty falling into a gentle sleep. These two instances have a common factor: momentary bliss arrived to bless an experience because the environment supported discovery of unplanned joy. That is what I associate with the Wicked Wolf, and this time the joy arrived eventually because when my Mom and I arrived to their high tea on Mother's Day the experienced seem like it would land nowhere good. Truth be told, my mom and I arrived 15 minutes early and there was no host in the stand and the place was empty except for a foursome. The energy felt lacked luster. One or two minutes after, the bartender informed us that we were early and the host would come soon. We sat in an available sofa for two, a loveseat persay. This gave us an opportunity to admire the decor that transported us to a storybook forest where good fairies reside, not like swamp creatures and trolls with malevolent fangs and dragon green eyes. I especially loved the large roses in the ceiling. To set the stage, the black ceiling had vines hanging from it, and the few roses were pops of crimson red displayed above. These were wonderful accents to the central mural of the joint that invited the viewer within deeper into the fairy forest where a light shone on an unseen meadow. The place had the decorations and general environment to be a lavender fairy's lounge, but, it did not fully work as a team room. For instance, my mom and I were sat in another lover's couch. Initially, I did not want to sit here because we were given circular tray sets. So imagine being told to sit in a couch, and each of us would get a tv tray. So I was left to wonder if we were going to be served tea in Belle's living room or if were going to watch a flick as we ate pollo loco bowl? But then as I settled into the tranquility of the moment, saw more people come and find their seat or couch, and as the serviced picked-up I realized that this was high tea in a place that had taken disjointed beauty and tackied it together for a patched tea experience that worked well. It was like the experienced was blessed and allowed by the same spirit that brought forth Raggedy Ann. For instance, the pictures show these pretty violet petaled tea cups and matching plates. This pairing was dainty and perfect for a tea party happening under pink veils. But then the sugar cubes came in a hedgehog shaped holder which was just as precious as seeing a piglet in a carriage built for one. Then the cream carrier was in the shape of a milk carton. I wondered where the missing child portrait was? The pastry plate was in the shape of a tropical flower like the ones scattered all over Hawaii. It belonged in a beautiful lei. Each of these elements was cute in its own delicate and whimsical way but together they made an eclectic hodgepodge, not a coherent tea set. And in this asymmetry laid the glitter of their error. The host also brought these clip on dainty hats that were perfect touches for make believe tea party. He carried them around in their original packing, including the box they came in. Not exactly the tailor of the queen, offering hats to the villagers as a gift from her to them, but still the effort magnified the moment. The tea food was the worst stumble that Red took as she was being chased by the Wicked Wolf. To begin with the end analysis, the tea offerings in general were standard, and not bites fit for a princess and her wedding court. For instance, the cream cheese and cucumber sandwich was just that---- a cucumber and cream cheese sandwich. I detected no effort to make it more than that. The blueberry scone was solid, nothing to skip through a meadow about. But once you added the jam of the table to the scone it was much easier to enjoy. I also had a madeline that was fluffy in the center but could have been purchased maybe at Costco. I had a Macaron and same thing, delicious but I have had something similar before and I suspected that it did not come from a place afloat with Parisian affairs. The best part of the tiers was this puff like thing that had like a Concha texture and design at the top. It was a sweet filled bite that was fit for a man made of muffin.

When we got there, I felt that the decorations and drinks felt a bit gimmicky, with random fairy tale-esque elements like a throne and massive red roses. I thought it would have been very cool to see Easter eggs and more intentionality bringing the atmosphere together. Since it was an hour before closing, we didn't plan to stay very long. The two people working at the bar were both unwelcoming and seemed upset that we were there (there were other people at the bar, including people who arrived later in the night than us). We paid for our drinks, which cost over $40 for 2 drinks with tip. My cocktail was $17 and came in a glass barely bigger than a shot glass. We left around the time they were calling for last call. I can understand not wanting stragglers who prevent the bartenders from closing late, but I would have much preferred being turned away at the door rather than paying and tipping for an overall unpleasant experience.
