Happy Hour sliders. Smaller than they look. Dry bun, dry patty. No cheese offered. No condiments.

Disappointing food and service. I got some happy hour dishes so I could try a few things. The gumbolaya was the highlight, unfortunately. It was flavorful, but barely warm. It had clumps of rice that seemed to be added as an afterthought. The lemon pepper wings were ok, but over seasoned & dry. The biggest disappointment were the sliders. (See pic). Dry bun, dry patty, that's it. No sauce, not even a pickle. Offering cheese would be a nice touch. Also no condiments on the table, so I had to hunt down some ketchup. My server didn't check back, brought the wing sauce much later than the wings and had zero personality. I love to recommend new places, but RB Grill is a pass for me. EDIT: Thank you for the reply, Lisa. What I'm getting from your response is that you care less about your Happy Hour food and presentation and take no responsibility for your Happy Hour food quality. I wish I would have known that beforehand. Perhaps you should put that on the menu: "Our Happy Hour food isn't up to par. Please try something more expensive." Please do me a favor and google sliders. Look at the images. Sesame seed bun, gooey cheese, juicy patty, lettuce, tomato, pickles, condiments, etc., not just a dry bun and patty. If you can't take an honest critique to heart, maybe you're in the wrong business.

Grilled Fish Tacos (delicious and fresh fish and the sauce was excellent)

So excited to try Steve & Lisa's new adventure, so when word got out they were doing their soft opening this weekend, we gathered our Ragin Friends and popped in to check out the new menu. Melissa was our server and she was super nice and attentive. So nice to see some of the same faces behind the bar and through out the restaurant. And the new beach mural and decor was inviting. Our group started with an order of steak nachos and Oysters (a Ragin favorite) and they were great for sharing. For the main dishes a Big Nick Burger, The Chicken Sandwich (fried), and an order of the Fish Tacos (grilled). The burger was packed with flavor and bacon. The chicken sandwich was always a favorite. It was fried perfectly with a great tasting batter and served on a soft fresh bun, we opted for onion rings ($1.00 up charge). And the grilled fish tacos were delicious, the sauce made them extra good! I had to get an order of my old Raging favorite... the Chicken, Sausage & Corn Bisque (aka the Bayou Bisque), it is my favorite, a rich and creamy creole bisque on top of white rice (absolutely the best and so glad it made it on top the new menu). We finished off the night with churros, but I can't wait to come back for Lisa's amazing Peach Cobbler. A truly great restaurant/full bar & cafe. Lots of space for large parties and a nice patio for summer seating!

Ok yall another Thursday rolled around and we are back ! I really wanted to try chef Ricky's red sauce but I know I LOVE the green sauce soooo of course the most accommodating place ever Mel said do both ! I didn't think that was a thing lol my review stands I prefer the green sauce on the carne asada burrito but glad I got to try both! And then last week i mentioned to Mel I never tried Lisa's homemade butter cake she screamed WHAT?! So we had to get it this time and we have been missing out !!! It was soooo good! Definitely save room for dessert! We love the blueberry cobbler usually around Halloween time but the peach one is good too! Finally sat outside where we normally love to sit in this gorgeous so cal weather ! Hubs got the Chuck Norris sandwich not a crumb was left imma say it was good lol

My 2 friends and I after enjoying a great meal.

The food, service & ambiance were all terrific! The owners are the same as the old Ragin Cajun and they have kept a few of their favorites. Can't wait to go back again!

Known as a steakhouse the prime ribs looked really mouth watering...even for myself who doesn't eat meat....I had the Salmon Filet and it was actually cooked really well and I would definitely get it again.... Service was pretty good even though the place as busy they were able to help us out the majority of the time.... Everything came out good for the whole party and no complaints about the food at all... The restaurant itself is old and the inside shows it....but that is part of the classic ambiance at the restaurant.... It is difficult to maneuver through and they utilized the space inside very well...I thought it was a small restaurant looking a it from the outside but it actually can hold a good amount of people. Maybe get better bread knives is my only complaint....it was hard to cut the sourdough easily with the knives given.... Definitely recommend this place to anybody who likes steak/prime rib/even salmon.... By the way I passed it on the first drive by because the parking entrance is just before the restaurant and 1 way meaning if a car is coming out you can't fit another car to come in....but if you go around the residential area you can pull in from the side street before going back on Sepulveda...

This is basically a high quality oven roasted rib eye steak. If you crave Prime Rib, what makes this a good meal is it comes with bread, soup and a baked potato and the cut comes in 3 sizes to choose from. The service is friendly and fast and this is family styled, no dress code nor any frills of ambiance. It's like a bar lounge with karaoke in the front and formal (casual) dining in the back Parking is easy, but remember this... If driving down Sepulveda and the Sam Franciscan is going to be on your right side... then the parking lot you want to pull into is on your right side BEFORE the San Franciscan yellow sign. If you pass it and pull into the next lot, it locks you in and does not connect to the restaurant and you'll then need to turn around pull out then get back onto Sepulveda, turn right onto Crenshaw and then reach the San Franciscan parking lot from the back or if confused you get back onto Sepulveda from there and try to park again and not miss the correct parking position of their parking lot.

Waiters kept checking on us. Got the mild Buffalo Wings for $14 and Parmesan Fries for $6. The wings were good. The Parmesan Fries were really good, they didn't skimped on the Parmesan. Both dishes were small and came with ranch sauce. Got place to watch the games with friends. Not the place to have a conversation. The interior is neat and clean. There are various types of seating (bar; table; booth; high-tops; communal), and plenty of screens to watch sports. On this occasion, I ordered the Tavern Fish & Chips ($22). It is described as "Alaskan cod coated in a tempura beer batter and served with French fries, tartar sauce and yuzu herb coleslaw". The positives of this dish are that it was prepared well. Both the fish and chips tasted good. The presentation was also nice; which leads to the coleslaw: The coleslaw tasted good, too; but I was surprised the serving was so spare. It's almost as if it was served just to optically balance the presentation in the basket. (See photo shared,) And while the price was not unreasonable, feel it's creeping towards expensive (relative to serving size). I'll attribute this to rising input costs. Staffing might be an issue during the lunchtime service. Service was okay, but they seemed to be understaffed. It's possible that most of their business is done after 5pm.

We ordered a $13.99 personal meal. My wife had the mac & cheese with a salad, and I had the combo pizza with a Caesar salad. We added two drinks for $1.99 each and shared a nutty coleslaw. I was surprised at how large the "personal size" mac & cheese was -- it was very generous. We ended up sharing the pizza, mac & cheese, and coleslaw and still had plenty of food. The meal also came with two personal-size carrot cakes, which we took home for the next day. Even sharing just one was more than enough. Everything was delicious, but the carrot cake really stood out. Super moist, full of carrots and chunks of pineapple, and topped with an amazing cream cheese frosting. The menu says it's made from scratch, and it definitely tasted homemade. Definitely recommend! **After reading some of the 3 and 1 reviews, I'm hoping to have an equally positive experience on my next visit.

The chicken was all cut up not a whole chicken breast which I should have seen as a red flag. But I tried to enjoy it, thinking positive and enjoy my night. I finished the beer and ordered a small beer but I started feeling really dizzy during this time. And not from drinking. If you've ever been roofied you know this exact feeling. Things are moving slower. You're spinning. You don't have full control. And you could pass out at any second. Thankfully I got home but it continued in a shower I took to try and wake up, but that didn't work. On my sofa I passed out. And woke up the next day still not feeling good. Still needing to lay down and needing more sleep. Another night passed where I slept early. Like I was knocked out. And today, Friday I finally felt like it was all out of my system. And this all happened because I went to Slip. This is not a fluke. It was not an accident. It happened to me and it can happen to you too. It can happen anywhere maybe, or maybe not.
