My first time eating at Riviera's house and it was such a great pick for lunch I highly recommend this spot. The manager, John was wonderful and our waiter, the bartender and the whole staff, including the hostess was so kind and gave us amazing service.! the ambience was beautiful. Had a really great vibe a very clean restaurant and the bathrooms were really clean too. The food was so good. The tacos were yummy and all their sauces were really good. I highly recommend this spot and I would definitely be coming again!
Have came here a couple times with boyfriend for date night/ lunch date. We loved it the first time so we came here with our pup. Weirdly they allow dogs but don't have any water bowls so you have to walk outside for your pup to drink water which is a little inconvenient. Service was good but not very personable. He was just there to do his job and also made a little smart remark about the water for our pup. Overall, 6/10. We ordered the clam chowder and would give this a 9/10. Would definitely order again. We got the scallops and this I would give a 7/10. They were slightly overcooked but still very delicious. The shrimp tacos were an 7/10 as well. Pretty basic shrimp taco but the sauce really made the dish. I wanted more of that sauce. Overall, good but not great. I would come back to try different dishes.
The food is fabulous and the service is top notch. The atmosphere is so inviting and you automatically feel like you belong there. You can be casual or dress up.

However we decided on this place. I already knew the food was going to be good because I frequent this area often! I tried the tuna melt , spicy tuna rice crisper tings, and had two drinks. My friend had the coconut shrimp and shrimp tacos. Our server was extremely attentive and knew her away around the menu for recommendations. If you're in the area and want a bite to eat, please stop by. They won't disappoint you.! P.S. there is meter parking .
Fun pre-Thanksgiving fall day lunch at Riviera House today! My significant other and I were meeting a friend coming from the OC, and looking for a place about halfway, and Riviera House was perfect for us. The space has an "indoor/outdoor" vibe, which we loved. We had reservations and were hoping for outdoor seating. I called when reservations were made and spoke to Sam, who said there should be no issues with the request. Great first impression of the restaurant and staff! We arrived before our friend and were greeted by Neal. He seated us right away, and took care of us through the afternoon and could not have been more accommodating, kind, and fun! Two of us got tuna melts with different sides, and one got the strawberry feta salad with salmon. We all enjoyed our food, along with drinks. The vibe was really fun, and I personally loved the music!! Would love to return when we are back in the area!
Super good food, lots of seating but limited parking! Got the breakfast burrito and it was massive! Really liked the potatoes it came with. My group also got the poke nachos to share which was also good but the poke to chip ratio was a little off. Still a nice place to get brunch though :)

Drinks could use some improvement - they make really good tiki and brunch drinks but can't seem to hammer home the classics. Food is very good - nothing that stands out spectacularly for me - but can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Price is steep and I would say "well that's because of it's location", but other places around are doing it for cheaper sooooo *shrug*. Been here on many occasions: dates, girly brunches, family dinners, celebratory parties and it has been solid every time.
Riviera House is one of those spots you keep a secret... but I have to give them their flowers. We were immediately welcomed by the ambiance and open space (you have the choice to sit fully inside, partially inside with space heaters above to stay consistent temp - great touch, or fully outside on the couches or chairs they have in the sun). We sat in the partial inside section which I would highly recommend. We did make a reservation as well because we had a group of 5. THE FOOD: 10/10... EVERYTHING. We had a good variation of things including steak and eggs, breakfast burrito, berry waffles, strawberry salad, Brussels sprouts, and "make your own chilaquiles"?!?!!! I personally had the steak and eggs which had a bunch of flavor from all the ingredients they added, and a nice touch with the fresh sourdough. Not your typical bland steak and 2 eggs on the side... I also made a point to try every one else's food at my table because it looked so good. I don't give 10/10 ratings lightly, and neither does my family. Especially from my family that can be a bit critical about food. Respectfully. Server Joe was super friendly, checked on us at the perfect times, & accommodated a few requests from the kids we had with us. I'll definitely be back. Thank you to everyone who made this meal feel special.
Spicy tuna crispy rice was just ok. Needs more sesame oil or something. The eggplant dip was ok I was not a fan my sister liked it though . Will come back to try more stuff though a lot of other things look good. Got it all on happy hour prices . Also their website menus and happy hour menus are not up to date
I must like it here as I've been about 30 times Everyone has an off night. I was seated in an area with a waitress I hadn't seen before. Oh my, it was the start of a bad night They forgot the salad. But the table next to us has a special request for the salad which they completely messed up also. Then I Thought I'd try their seafood tower. At $59 I was disappointed. 6 small oyster , 6 shrimp and ceviche. You'll want to pass on this one And the bar staff must have been busy as I didn't get my drink until after the entree was finished. Oh well. It happens. I will make sure to get seated with wait staff I know. My recommendation: go for the happy hour selections. Super good food, quality and value Still a good vibe.
We were looking for a place not far from the Coast Botanical Gardens and that took reservations as we were a party of 7. Riviera House hit the mark. Service was great with a primary wait person attending to us but a whole team of people helping serve and cleanup. The setting was nice with open air and a street side patio. Parking on the street was scarce but there is a big pay to park lot just a block away. Food was good! We shared the eggplant dip appetizer and it was served with delicious bread. I enjoyed the California Benedict with a nice mound of shrimp. I felt the hollandaise sauce was a little skimpy but they brought me extra. The rosemary potatoes on the side are delicious! The rest of the table had a variety of items including the breakfast burrito, chicken & waffles, triple berry French toast, avocado toast, clam chowder, tuna stacks and the basic eggs with bacon. Everyone enjoyed their meal. We had several drinks; I had the white sangria, which was served with crushed ice (think sonic ice) tasted great but it was a lot of ice and not much Sangria -- my only disappointment. The cost, including tax and tip was about $35-40 per person. We would return if in the area.
This is probably one of the best midday happy hour spots in Riviera village of Redondo beach. You can sit outside or inside here, it's never too busy and it's just giving you nice beach town vibes that are clean. There are a ton of different happy hour food specials, and drink specials and taco Tuesday specials and different daily specials. Today we got asada fries and we clean the plate. These things were spectacular. Highly recommend.
A returning customer driving from SFV, of MANY years (pre Covid era and during), and the food is always on point. Friendly servers, good vibes (brunch, lunch, dinner) even on windy days! They have outdoor patio which is enjoyable, it feels like you're on the beach even though you're a couple blocks away. Drinks are good, I always have tequila or mezcal based, and I can't say I've had one I didn't like. If I were a local, this would be my go-to! Highly suggest.
09/07/2026 Update The location is great in Redondo Beach. Good seating all around. Has a very chill but upbeat vibe. Our servicer was good; very friendly and polite. The food was good. The clam chowder was good and hot. The fish and chips were great. Fried well, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The wine selection is decent. read more

First time at Riviera House, our server was nice but slow. We arrived during happy hour. Our drinks and apps were brought to our table, however the server didn't come back for over 30 minutes. Wanted to order food from the happy hour menu, but happy hour had ended since it took so long for the server to come back. Food was meh. The crispy rice on the spicy tina bites was too crispy and there wasn't a ton of flavor. Salmon BLT was super salty. Salmon picatta was just ok. Not a bad choice, but there are better options in the village. read more

My husband and I have come to the Riviera House a few times and ordered the clam chowder and string beans tempura appetizer. Both excellent. Recently we ordered the Brussels sprouts appetizer. We thought the preparation flavor was somewhat overpowering. Sometimes less is better. The restaurant has both inside and outside patio seating. We like to sit in one of the booths and enjoy a pleasant leisurely lunch. Service is attentive without hovering. read more

The food was superb! We ordered the prawns, sea bass, salmon lobster mac and cheese and truffle fries. The staff was helpful and helped us make the perfect choices. The indoor outdoor vibe with the ocean breeze so close was a plus! read more
Small corner restaurant that offer some of the typical items most other restaurants have. We started with a bowl of Clam chowder that was ok, flavor was just ok,it had more Potatoes and not enough of Can Clams, not fresh. Coconut Shrimp was ok, the shrimp was dark in color not the golden color we are use to, might have been due to old cooking oil that wasn't changed. The Hot and spicy Margarita was not bad. Will try again in near future. read more

Every time I come here, I have a great experience with delicious food and amazing drinks. On my most recent visit, I came specifically for a drink I loved before, but I couldn't remember the name. I described it to a few staff members, and while they tried their best, it wasn't until the bartender came over that we figured it out. I pulled up a photo on my phone, and she immediately recognized it and made it for me perfectly. I really appreciated how the entire staff went out of their way to help me track down that drink...it was absolutely worth it. Not only are the drinks and staff exceptional, but the food is consistently great as well. Highly recommend! read more

Came in for Sunday brunch and hoping to get bottomless mimosas. We came in around 12:30, the server told us they're out of mimosas. Strange. How does that happen. Anyways, I ordered the Scallywag cocktail which was incredibly delicious and better than a mimosa. The chicken and waffles was so flavorful. Comes with uniquely crafted butter and spicy sauce. I really enjoyed that they used chicken breast instead of thigh and it was juicy! read more
Fun restaurant in a cute little neighborhood. Friendly staff. They have a vast array of specialty cocktails, however they're all on the tarty side. Even drinks like the MaiTai were no that sweet. The food is top notch. The chilled seafood platter was a good starter with fresh oysters, large shrimp, and ceviche. The truffle fries were nice and thick and flavorful. The sea bass with risotto was excellent. My friends got the salmon entree, the scallops, the salmon sandwich, and the Picanha steak and loved all of them. read more

The service was the best part. Food was ok. I love spicy but the spicy sandwich tasted Cajun with little spice. I got Brussel sprouts with my sandwich and the balsamic vinegar on them was great. My hubby had the smash burger with truffle fries which were the best part by far, burger was just okay very wet. The place was nice, very cute, nice air flow . read more

The menu has a wide variety of selections depending on your hunger level. The appetizers are plenty for me , sometimes...and of course an adult beverage. The very polite servers always know there restaurant selections and can answer any of your questions. I like the ambience, with the open patio area..but, one can sit at the bar and at inside tables. read more
Wow! We love Riviera House! So glad we gave it another chance! This is our new favorite neighborhood spot for Craft Cocktails and a bite. The staff is super friendly and talented...Sam, Max, and John are Amazing! The food is so delicious in a beautiful open air atmosphere. We enjoy the Cocktail Tiger Prawns, Tempura Green Beans, Seabass, Scallops, Happy Hour BBQ Pork Ribs and so much more... During the week, there are fun menus and specials. The tacos are great on Taco Tuesday. Whiskey Wednesday is when the staff chooses a whiskey on special for $12. Tiki Thursday serves a $10 Tiki Burger and 25% off Tiki Cocktails. Dog friendly atmosphere. Dogs are allowed on our Heated Patio, as long as the are kept near the table and off of the furniture. Additionally, we have a curbside parklet that we can accommodate dogs.
