Rice and beans plate

Some of the best chips and salsa out there! The guacamole was also excellent, and the rest was solid. The place was packed, but the servers were very dialed into their work and the order came out quickly.

Shrimp Fajita

Lunch with friends and we have been wanting to try the restaurant. We weren't disappointed. Lovely view of the harbor and excellent service. Two people ordered the shrimp fajitas and they loved it. I had the tacos which were very good. Also ordered the guacamole which was fantastic.

3 Cheese Quesadilla

Cute little place but not sure if I'd recommend for their food! We got a pitcher of strawberry margaritas to share for national margarita day. The strawberry flavor was good but the drink was pretty weak. I got a 3 cheese quesadilla and was disappointed in it. The cheese wasn't fully melted inside and it wasn't very flavorful

Crab Enchiladas

Great Mexican food. Why lock me in, I'm all set here. Ordered some very delicious crab enchiladas, a lobster quesadilla and some steaks fajitas. I never had a lobster quesadilla or crab enchiladas so I had to order them both. The portions and the food quality were amazing. Good strong drinks from the bar just the way I like them. No complaints here. I definitely like passing by here when I'm in the area.

Always love coming here, we had a lovely server! Seated on the patio, there were a view parties outside but it was pretty busy inside and we still were taken care of in a timely manner. Definitely get the peach frozen margarita it is so delicious as well as the mai tai (made with coconut rum, yummy!). Ordered a 3 combo plate with enchiladas and crispy tacos which never disappoint!

Best starters in town! Baja Shrimp Cocktail and El Jefe Margarita. Service can't be beat.

Best shrimp cocktail and margaritas around. Service is ALWAYS amazing and this place feels like home.

I've been here twice now and this place hasn't disappointed. The big outdoor patio has lots of heaters and is protected from the wind so it doesn't get cold. They also have plenty of TVs to watch the sports games so whenever the dodgers are playing, they have a decent crowd. They have a small parking lot but there's only 3-4 reserved restaurant parking spots so you'll probably need to park on the street. They bring you free chips and salsa. I ordered a skinny margarita and the shrimp tacos. I always am scared getting a skinny marg because it is either super strong or not good but this one was the best I've had in a while. The shrimp tacos were yummy! My friend wasn't a big fan of them because they were too wet and didn't have enough crunch. The prices are good too. It's hard to find a place where you can order a margarita for $12 now a days. The servers were super welcoming and attentive. All around top tier service here! This may be my new favorite Mexican restaurant in redondo. Highly recommend!

Birria Quesadilla

Service is terrible. Told us it was a 15 minute wait and it was more like 30. drinks are strong! Birria quesadilla was delicious!

This a casual, yet cozy restaurant, makes you feel welcome and at home. Nice decor throughout, with lots of colorful coastal-themed art I was with a party of 5 (I was the 5th wheel, lol), we got a comfy booth for six by the entrance. There is a nice patio, but it was little chilly out. We began with complimentary chips and salsa and a round of drinks. Soon, we were having chicken tortilla soup, tacos and enchiladas. We were celebrating two March birthdays. They were kind enough to sing, and bring out a fancy sombrero. They also comp'd the birthday desserts. The staff and service felt like family. It was a fun and delicious evening. Located on Pacific Coast Highway, easy to find, small parking lot. Drop by when you're in the area, and don't forget to tell'em that Rosemary sent ya!!

I went here on New Year's Eve and it had such a comforting atmosphere. The carne asada burrito was filling and tasted great. My favorite dish was the complementary chips and salsa! Service was a bit slow but that also could be due to being short staffed on the holiday season. Very good though :)

Combo and Entrees Food Menu

We had fantastic service from start to finish! Our host, waitress, and food servers were all welcoming, friendly, and attentive. Definitely felt like they all worked as a team! As soon as we were seated, our waitress brought out chips and salsa and took our orders. Food came out quite quickly. By the time we finished the chips, they offered us a refill, and came back with the chips and all of our food. Quite fast honestly! My husband had the carne asada burrito and I had the birria tacos. My husband enjoyed his burrito but it did have a lot more rice than he was expecting. Still great overall and very much a true wet burrito. I thought the carne asada itself was well marinated and cooked. I was in love with my birria tacos. Honestly if birria anything is on the menu, I'm most likely ordering it. Their homemade birria sauce made all the difference. So much flavor in each bite. Plus the extra broth and spicy salsa just added to every bite. So worth the order! Although they are quite busy, we usually get in and out within a hour with a small group. Pretty convenient with great food and great service! It's not easy to find parking, but we've lucked out with front parking the past few times we've gone (even when it's a busy night).

Blue Corn Salad
Katie K.

Always a nice vibe here with plenty of outdoor seating under a heated patio. Dog-friendly. Big menu with lots of vegetarian options. Always had good food here! Recommend their blue corn salad for something a bit lighter. Their burritos are also good - much heartier. They sing happy birthday to you if you're celebrating!

The interior is neat and clean. There are various types of seating (bar; table; booth; high-tops; communal), and plenty of screens to watch sports. On this occasion, I ordered the Tavern Fish & Chips ($22). It is described as "Alaskan cod coated in a tempura beer batter and served with French fries, tartar sauce and yuzu herb coleslaw". The positives of this dish are that it was prepared well. Both the fish and chips tasted good. The presentation was also nice; which leads to the coleslaw: The coleslaw tasted good, too; but I was surprised the serving was so spare. It's almost as if it was served just to optically balance the presentation in the basket. (See photo shared,) And while the price was not unreasonable, feel it's creeping towards expensive (relative to serving size). I'll attribute this to rising input costs. Staffing might be an issue during the lunchtime service. Service was okay, but they seemed to be understaffed. It's possible that most of their business is done after 5pm.

The service tends to feel pretty rushed. It's friendly but there's not much of a local welcoming vibe, at least not in the many times that I've been here. There was gross chewed gum at my daughter's seat, stuck to the table, that I cleaned. (blech!) We usually come here with groups of 8 or more. It used to be a place that I was excited to get a group to go to. It's spacious, so it's fairly easy to bring a group. Multiple menus means most everyone can find something to eat. It used to feel like you got more for your money but maybe I'm just being nostalgic there. Today was not a great day for service. We had a friend that called ahead to check if they were going to show the Dodger game. Yes, the Dodgers won their division, but they are still in the hunt to gain home field advantage and the first round bye. Management assured her that they would show it. We showed up with a group of about 12 people to watch. We changed tables, moving inside to watch both the Denver Broncos game and the Dodger game, because you know the reason to go to a sports bar is to view multiple games. In the 4th inning, just as I was about to order another round of food and beer, they completely turned the Dodgers game off so that they could put the Seahawks game on multiple TVs, no Dodgers at all. Apparently there was no ability to put the Dodgers on one and the Seahawks on another. Lame given the previous discussions to get us there. We left, all of us. I don't know that we will ever come back. There are enough other venues that are great for groups, that while busier, provide a far better experience.

It's challenging to locate a good restaurant brewery that has the right atmosphere, making me willing to overlook certain aspects. Ambiance: Restaurant is cooly decorated! The children both indoors & outdoors were horse playing and screeching (octaves of birds) which was very distracting. Not a good catch up spot for this reason hard to hear people you're with. Also, I nearly left and canceled my second beer order because the waitress took over 10 minutes to pour it (I really believe she forgot) and by that time, I was pretty much finished with my meal and ready to leave. We were thrilled to see a few menu options that were marked as vegan. Bonus points for being affordable! I completely missed their attached parking lot when I arrived and ended up parking across the street in the neighborhood, where there was ample free parking. When we arrived, the restaurant was about half full and there was live music occurring on the patio. We opted to sit inside where it was a little less noisy and there was a comfy and cozy booth calling our name. The vibe was great, with fun and eclectic decor. The service was really upbeat and friendly and our server was so kind and helpful. We asked him if the espresso martini had dairy in it (which I just discovered that is a thing at some places) and he double checked with the bartender to ensure there wasn't my dairy in it! I ordered that alongside a falafel wrap I must say, both of these worked so well together. The espresso martini was light and refreshing yet still had a bold flavor. The falafel was nice and crispy with a delectable inside and the tahini sauce was so rich and creamy. The meal felt indulgent yet hearty all at the same time.
