Sweet little place with nice ambiance and nice food. We did not have anything to brag about, it was good, but not good enough to make me want to go again - or even tell y'all you must go. Sadly, it's also one of this places where service considers itself more important that any conversation that their customers may be engaged in. We dropped in this small but high ceiling bar/restaurant just across the street of the pier of Hermosa beach. Parking was challenging so we parked at the structure next to Chase bank. Place is small but we were able to seat 11 of us by the window where good looking people passing by in their swim suits! Sorry I forgot our servers name, she's young, pretty, kind, helpful, attentive and a fast server. Seems like they have more tables upstairs with a view, not sure. Anyway, we had their Lobster ravioli,Skirt steak surf and turf, linguini clams, seared scallops, Grilled King Ora Salmon. I had their Salmon, usually i dont finish grilled salmon coz it's always overcooked and dry BUT this one was creamy and crispy on the ouside, flavorful, portion was just enough and the veggies that came with it were recognizable. I tasted their other dishes and they were also delicious. I love this place I will be coming back and yes I would highly recommend this awesome place. Only had shrimp scampi happy hour / social hour for $16. It doesn't come with pasta but it does have juices to dip bread in or take home to make some pasta. The bread no longer comes with the 3 dips. But it is good and free. Ambience. Outdoor seating is nice on a nice day to watch foot traffic. Indoors seemed a bit more formal. Next door is an ice cream shop with giant connect 4 that the kiddos can play with if dine outdoors. If I could give the stars 0 for the food I was. My husband and I both got steaks, he had a ribeye & I had the filet mignon. No kidding the steak was so dry there was 0 juice on the plate & we had gotten medium rare. It seemed like they threw the steak in an air fryer and let it cook. If you're going to charge steak house prices make sure you can cook the steak better than an outback. My chipotle steak bowl order was 10000X better than what we had. Everything went extremely well this evening while traveling through Hermosa Beach with my friend. We stopped in the most charming part of town and looked up reviews on this application. We were greeted with extremely nice smiles and happy people into an environment of joy and great smells. Daniela or Danielle? Was our waitress and she was sparkling with humor, intelligence, and a wonderful everything else. It was piping hot and looked delicious. It was not. It was so bland. Even with the cheese/herb topping. Does bread need salt?! Because this needed...something. It was just super disappointing. Then for the entrees...I got the eggplant Parmesan. It arrived lukewarm-the cheese on top wasn't even melted all the way. It tasted good, so I guess there's that. My friend got the sea bass. It was a perfect oval shape like it had been processed and pressed into a mould. It was stringy and tough. The butter sauce had good flavor, but the fish was just BAD. The bartender offered to have the chef cook another one but it was equally as bad. It at least looked like fish, but still had a tough stringy texture. The bartender took it off our bill but did not seem surprised that we returned it to the kitchen. The drinks were delicious and the appetizer (zucchini) was really good. Calamari was excellent to start. Brought our own wine and fair corkage - 1st free, 2nd bottle $25. We all split house salads. Pastas were good with ravioli, bolognese and truffle. My Salsicce Blanco was a big disappointment with no nuance to it. It was a very large heap of pasta and way too much sausage and broccoli being used instead of broccolini and all the parts of the stems were cut up and included. Came here on Valentine's Day for the first time. They had a set menu that day. I ordered the filet mignon and my gf ordered the butter squash ravioli. I told the waitress I wanted medium rare, but instead it was well done. Barely any redness and blood. The texture was a bit rough and dry, but it was seasoned well with salt and pepper. I enjoyed eating the side broccoli and fried potatoes it came with. I give it a 6/10. As for the butternut squash ravioli, I'll give it 4/10. We didn't expect it to be sweet. The overall flavor was unique, but it didn't fit our preference for savory and salty food. In addition, there was like only like 6 to 7 pieces of ravioli. Price didn't fit well with the dish. For appetizers we had the calamari. The batter was okay. It wasn't crispy enough like we hope, but the orange mayo sauce had a nice touch to it. I'll give it a 6/10. Their bread was also delicious and had 3 different dips :) The lobster ravioli was tasty and not overly fishy! The pink sauce wasn't too creamy and was delicious! The scallops were cooked wonderfully and the cauliflower purée was surprisingly flavorful! I would possibly return but probably won't dine inside - it's warm, very cramped and humid compared to outside... Their restrooms definitely see the wear and tear of so many people using them. The mens had a broken lock and the womens was partially flooded, with water puddles on the floor, and out of soap. Parking is also difficult during the summer months but there's a structure nearby that more likely has spaces for the cooler months. read more

Our party oh 8 had various entrees ranging from tenderloin cheeseburger, strip steak, sea bass, scallops, linguini and clams etc. the service was excellent and the ambiance was festive and lively. Like any Hermosa Beach restaurant you've got limited parking so you may have to hunt for a spot or go to the public parking lot on Hermosa Ave. Reservations are suggested. Give it a try. read more

Start with the wonderful complimentary homemade loaf of bread that comes with 3 dipping sauces... hummus, oil and balsamic, and an amazing olive tapenade. The skirt steak with chimichurri was cooked to a perfect medium rare with a nice char. The sea bass was light flaky and delicious. It came with asparagus and roasted fingerling potatoes that were very nice. The crispy Brussel Sprouts were the star of the show. This place used to be one of my fav spots. Went Sunday they are open till 2am. Was sitting by the glass window got to see a street brawl up close. First time back after the pandemic. I've been here twice now and 5/5 each time without a doubt. The first time had reservations at a restaurant nearby at 7:30 with plans to catch the sunset beforehand but there was no sun! So rerouted to try and find a happy hour nearby and landed at Zane's because I had a calamari craving. Squeezed in at the side bar with my girl 10 min before HH ended, grabbed a martini and G&T quick and easy and got our calamari maybe 15 min after. Perfect. Came back tonight after a day out at Hermosa. Made a 5:45 res for an outdoor table because we had chairs, a cooler, beach stuff, etc. And our experience was just as ideal. Service top tier, drinks spectacular and food just right. I've read a lot of past reviews of this place and I can say objectively they seem to take any critiques to heart and make the changes people want. I can 1000% stand behind a business like this.
